An Eater’s Guide to Crete, Greece’s Largest Island | Eater
"Another Heraklion brewery highlighted among the island’s newer beer producers, offering tasting opportunities and locally made beers." - Demetrios Ioannou
Despite it not being high season they were accommodating and friendly and happy to share their beers with us! Both Pilsner and Weiss were excellent representations of the styles. Cheers!

They need to start exporting their output to the UK! We popped in to the brewery as we'd tried about 5 of their brews over a few days in Heraklion. It's not really set up for visits: there's no taproom as such, just a big bench outside, but they'll happily sell you cases of excellent beer to take home. We were lucky that the man running the place that day spoke fluent English.

A really cool little spot. It's very out of the way of the city centre, so we had to hop in a taxi to get there. It's very small but this made the experience all the better since the owner was so welcoming! Great beers, great service

Extremely friendly and welcoming brewery and most importantly, they have outstanding beer. If you like beer and are in Crete, I highly recommend stopping by. I love IPAs and usually have problems finding good ones on travel, but Notos' was spot on!

Amazing beer, amazing brewers. I have to say, that they weren't expecting us, but the service, the fun and the beer of this microbrewery were absolutely wonderful. We are planning to visit them again next year and look forward to more great Notos beers!

Friendly brewers crafting some of the best beers in Crete. Tried the lager and it was amazing. Very good prices too, bought some more for home.

Sick of mythos? You must come here. Four friends started this fantastic little microbrewery and are pumping out delicious (and all surprisingly refreshing) hoppy brews. So friendly, so laid back. Fabulous afternoon session. We turned up on a Tuesday right on opening and had the pleasure of being able to talk over a beer with one of the owners - he gave us the full tour and even poured us their yet to be labelled coffee porter. Big craft beer drinkers and we loved the blonde ale, the weiss, the coffee porter (wow) and even the lager (much fuller flavour than your regular). Will be looking out for it when it makes it to London. Yamas indeed!

Tasty beers! We came here looking for some more-exciting-than-mythos beer and we found it! We tried the hefe and the irish red ale, both were tasty. The guys behind the taps were really nice too.
