Imani Battle’s Nourish Ramen Is one of Detroit’s Coolest Pop-Ups | Eater Detroit

"She runs a one-woman food pop-up called Nourish Ramen, launched from her Eastside apartment just before COVID, that fulfills up to 40 pickup orders a week (typically on Wednesdays) and has moved from social posts to accepting online orders; the take-out model allowed rapid pandemic growth. Care and hospitality are central—she used to host full tables of strangers in her home kitchen, light candles for date-night diners, and has become more careful about dietary restrictions since becoming a mother—and she infuses her ramen with third-generation Jamaican heritage, offering dishes like curry ramen, homemade sorrel, and a Ginger Brew by Paradise Farms using her friend Oronde Bandele’s recipe, with an island plate possibly coming next summer." - Imani Mixon

The food is so good I crave it every day! Love the fermented mushrooms, sprouts and sauerkraut. Amazing on a salad or in their soup. The egg in the soup is my newest love. Cashew creme, sweet potato tacos… everything is chef’s kiss

I have nothing but good things to say. New to Eugene and the owner Jon was the first person I interacted with. He was so friendly and kind, I felt very welcome which meant a lot to me being new and not knowing anyone here. Ive had numerous things on the menu: shrimp skewers, ramen, sweet potatoes, and several beverages. Pretty much everything is amazing - my personal favorites are the cortado and the sweet potato tacos (DELICIOUS!!! Seriously, ridiculously good). I dont know whether I like the food or the owner more - Jon is always thoughtful, considerate, and you can tell he takes deep pride in his work. I love how mindful he is regarding quality of ingridients and processes, he cares a lot about the impact of his food, not just on people but on the environment and animals as well. Quality spot run by a quality dude - highly recommend!! -Violet

If you enjoy a good, tender, flavorful pork belly taco… I think this might be the best one in town. (Although all of Nourish’s tacos are amazing if you aren’t a pork belly person!) Additionally the fresh smoothies and juices are 10/10! This place is the best. I will drive across town to go here. Bonus points for lovely, spacious outdoor seating during the sunny months too! 🙌🏻 (And apologies for a partially eaten taco pic! After that first savory bite, I reminded myself to post a review because it’s just THAT good!)

Google
Was looking for a juicing place. Thrilled to find Nourish. The juices here are cold pressed daily and the recipes are perfect. Green #1 and Love Your Liver (beet based) are the two that I order regularly. They are consistently balanced and delicious, not sweet or cloying, but fresh and refreshing. The café also serves Ramen with the yam noodles that are nutritionally dense and gluten free, tacos then include pork with kimchi, and fermented dishes. The owner is highly knowledgeable and clearly committed to high-quality food production that doesn't compromise taste or nutrition. Truly friendly service that doesn't treat you like a number or a tab. Couldn't recommend more highly.

Google
Delicious food at the window. Great smoothies. Incredibly clean. A+ to me.

Google
Nourish truly delivers on every level. The owner has crafted a fantastic menu that’s both delicious and nutritious. The coffee and smoothies are excellent, and the seating area is a lovely, relaxing place to enjoy it all.

Google
Healthy food but make it Michelin 🌟. Truly outrageous how talented Head Chef Jon is. Just buy the tacos. If you have to eat anywhere in Eugene it is here (and the tacos at Akira aren't bad, either). 🐝

Mike C.

Google
When the chef says “Every day is my day off.” you know it’s going to be great. Don’t be in a rush when you come for your tacos and skewers, just sit back and enjoy the friendly vibes on Friendly Street.

Yelp
I will update this if I try the ramen someday, as I've heard some people say it's good--so the star rating might go way up. I stopped by wanting a nice place to sit outside and a little snack. So I got the sweet potatoes ("miso jo jos"). They took about 25 minutes to prepare and the result was so salty they were not pleasant to eat. (Miso is strong and needs a light hand...) They had the texture of having been left out all day and reheated, with some pieces dried out and chewy (not soft on the inside and crunchy outside, as a freshly cooked potato would be). It was $7 for a small serving of sweet potatoes. So far, I don't feel compelled to return, but it's a nice place to sit outside and some people have recommended the ramen. My honest impression is that the cooks in the kitchen are overwhelmed. This place uses fresh ingredients and the menu is well thought-out, but the kitchen prep doesn't seem like a well-oiled machine.

Yelp
Got some healthy drinks and food from this cafe in Eugene. It has just about the freshest stuff you can get. Nourish is known for the plant based and raw food options. Certainly has a lot to choose from. The prices are okay compared to similar types of places. After hearing good things about it, we came here at lunch. It's certainly a good pace if looking to get healthy stuff. The menu has a lot of low calorie food and plenty of choices for vegans. Good prices for the quality. It's about $8 for a smoothie. I got the Blueberry Brain Boost. This is made with bananas, blueberries, oat hemp milk, and turmeric. Also the food. It's about $6 for the Roasted Vegetable Tacos. Had to get a couple orders for us because only a few tacos came in an order. These are topped with carrot ginger sauce and spicy cashew sauce. Also on the menu is meat and seafood if you would prefer it. There's shrimp tacos among other things. Have some news about this business. It's no longer on Pearl Street, but in the Friendly Market. There's still the great options they had, with plenty to get for vegans and vegetarians.

Yelp
Hawt damn. What's not good here? Only thing is that it's a bit awkward ordering. Everything is super fresh and well thought out.
google avatar

Yelp
It's off the beaten path ~4 miles off of Highway 5 *hidden gem* It's located inside the Friendly Market with a covered outdoor patio area with plenty of seating. It was raining today and the covered patio kept us comfortable and dry *thumbs up* I wanted fresh and flavorful; this place has both. The house salad for $7 was nothing special, BUT the adding tempeh for $4.25 more is freakin' delicious. The orange sauce that they drizzle on top is a flavor bomb all by itself. I would order any protein and ask them to drizzle that orange sauce *YUM* The shrimp skewers for $6.25 for 2 slim skewers was more than I was expecting. The shrimp is naturally sweet and meaty. Whatever they roll the shrimp in is bursting with flavor and adds a nice texture (not crunchy). The massaged kale and shredded red cabbage was a nice texture/flavor companion especially with a squeeze of lemon. I would order the shrimp skewers again. It's not a meal, but a nice side or sharable appetizer. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options here. Everything is made fresh and all sauces are made in house. Local Business.

Yelp
So great. Shrimp Skewers and tacos are absolutely divine. Like as in godlike. Awesome patio. Awesome service. It's like dining at the chef counter but in a neighborhood setting. A+

Yelp
The employee John very rude and slow. Even when not busy can't handle the pressure. Never go back

Yelp
I just love their approach to everything here. From the plastic and waste, free utensils, cloth, napkins, and glasses for water. To the freshness and care that clearly goes into every item on the menu. The staff was extremely friendly, and checked in with me to make sure that what I ordered, which was quite simple, was exactly what I wanted. I also appreciate that. They have a half size portion, which is perfect for lunch. I ordered that size of the vegan Ramen. The broth was intensely flavorful and it was loaded with everything that you would want in a Hardy but reasonable sized bowl. This is my go to for that perfect lunch either by myself or with a friend.

Yelp
I love that they have moved closer to my side of town, and I absolutely love the Friendly Market. Owners are nice, accommodating and I love the casual vibe. Their shrimp tacos with a sweet potato "shell" are absolutely divine. I'd love to try their juices, but they've been out the last few times I've tried. Happy to have them at this location!
google avatar

Ashlea S.

Yelp
Nourish has great food and service. They use quality ingredients and the spicy ramen is very good!

John B.

Yelp
What a great addition to the Friendly Market, much better than their previous Pearl Street location. Everything is really tasty here -- I can't get enough of their shrimp tacos! I've never had a problem with the outdoor ordering window, a *lot* more goes into their food than, for instance, a burger from McDonalds. And I can go into the market and get some shopping done while waiting. The food is always worth the wait, and the wait has never been that long for me.

Yelp
Updating my review from one to 3 stars. While I didn't see a response to my review, I did see a refund for our meal. The food was ok, but not worth the price. I originally gave one star because we waited over an hour for our food with no update or check in. The cashier offered little welcome, took our order, and disappeared. At least two people left without their food and several waited at least 45 minutes. We asked about how long after 50 minutes and were told it was "so close," which was true. It looked like there were two staff on deck and they were obviously overwhelmed and unsure what to do. You could hear them in the kitchen asking each other what went on the various dishes they were trying to prepare. They looked like they were trying their best but it wasn't working. We had three bowls. The miso prawn soup came out steaming but the other bowls were closer to warm than hot. The prawn bowl had a few medium size shrimp, greens, and raw cherry tomatoes. The flavor was decent but the shrimp were too heavily seasoned. The classic has decently hearty broth and noodles, with a medium egg, pickled bean sprouts, and tons of green onions. The egg was the right amount of warm and the onions were crisp. The Thai soup had a mix of veggies, none roasted as described on the menu, and warm, basic broth. The total bill was around $70 which was not justified by the slow, mediocre service, basic food, and a lack of ambiance. The place also does smoothies and juice which we didn't try. Maybe that's they're specialty.

Yelp
Nice stop in Eugene. Located inside a grocery store with well curated items. Food was excellent but portions were small. Nice covered patio to enjoy their offerings. Service was fast, friendly and efficient!

Yelp
Love this place ! So very nourishing ! We ordered the special , chicken tacos & spicy ramen. Each one was different & very fresh ! The potato taco shell so unique & yummy ! You won't be disappointed...
google avatar

Yelp
I have to say I'm really impressed with the variety of toppings and seasonings in the vegan ramen! I added tempeh as my protein and wow, it's delicious. I've never been a big fan of American-style BBQ sauce or flavors, so I was hesitant to order it, but the Korean BBQ tempeh has a nice mildly sweet and salty balance with a hint of char and an excellent texture. I had to stop myself from eating it all before anything else! Overall, it's one of the better ramen bowls I've had, and I've had a lot of ramen, from San Diego and Los Angeles to Boston. I'll definitely be back to try the tempeh tacos.

Mary B.

Yelp
The vegetarian ramen was OK, though I've had much better, but the owner (I think he is the owner that took our order) was a complete jerk. He was rude and disdainful that was only partially masked by superficial friendliness. You could tell that he was an arrogant jerk. Wont eat here again.

Yelp
Sadly previous Yelp reviews led us to choose this restaurant over other local options for ramen. We were suspicious from the start, as none of the seated patrons had food or drinks in front of them when we entered (about 4 of the 9-10 tables). Giving benefit of the doubt, we ordered at the counter, 3 different ramen options for the group. Our pay first tab WAS $65 for JUST three ramen dishes (no appetizers or drinks other than water). 45 mins later, we had witnessed 2 patrons give up and leave, a Doordash delivery person left without picking up his order (presumably he canceled his commitment to pick up for his client), one couple had received their bowls of ramen about 35 mins prior, and we still had no food or any word on its deliver. I went to the front counter prepared to ask for my money back, asking where they were at in the process of making our food. The staff person replied, "you had the 3 ramens right?" I confirmed, and she replied, "oh, they're so close. They're just about ready." They were served a few minutes later. 2 of the 3 were slightly warm, definitely not hot. The third seemed to be adequately hot. The vegetables in my dish were raw, despite being described as "roasted" in the menu description. One of the dishes was ordered with chicken, which was left out of the bowl. We had to ask for the chicken. This happened to another customer while we were waiting. Overall the broths for each were fairly similar and uninspiring, even we ordered Miso, Thai, and Original ramen options. Overall, it seemed clear they were understaffed, only ever observing one staff in the kitchen and one out front taking orders and doing some food prep. I will say they were polite overall, though very much lacking in any sort of acknowledgement or communication about the clearly frustrating situation for most of the customers. I would like to think this was just an off day or perhaps some staff called in sick or something. Either way if was a very disappointing experience, particularly for the price.
google avatar

Estee B.

Yelp
OMG, what I would do to get this food delivered to the Bay Area! Open a restaurant here!!! We don't have anything that comes near to your menu! When I was sick, last week, I thought about your broth in my delirium. If that doesn't say something...
google avatar

Dev G.

Yelp
If I was rich I would eat here every single day! I dream of the ramen. I honestly haven't tried anything else but everything sounds good. It's pricey but worth a try!

Yelp
This place is amazing. The tacos are absolutely bomb. All of them. I don't know what they do to the tortillas, but gosh if I could bath in it. I'm not big on meat but the locally harvested venison is pretty unbelievable. Green smoothie is super good too. I've *always* felt the love from the staff, and it truly reflects in the food (big shout out to the bearded guy in the back -- can tell he truly cares). I've been helped by a young woman and young man there as well, always very warm people who seem to take it to heart that their job is nourishing you.

Yelp
Best Ramen and smoothies in town! The Almond buttercup smoothie is my favorite. Great service and very friendly
google avatar

Yelp
First time at Nourish. I came for the Ramen but noticed that they have cold pressed juices, power shots, and smoothies. I ordered the spicy Ramen with added pork belly and an extra soft egg. All ingredients seemed to be high quality. They promote locally sourced, organic and seasonal ingredients. Soup had a stronger fermented flavor broth in contrast to a meatier umami broth. I personally like both styles and love the quality. I will definitely be back
google avatar

Zion C.

Yelp
Phenomenal! Especially for the certifiably-verifiable quality of ingredients. Outstanding job Nourish. Pleasant staff & overall very mellow kind atmosphere. Thank you for the hospitality & belly full of delicious food. I will be returning; hungry for more!

Yelp
Great food but it was pricey and took awhile to get our order. The staff was very nice and the atmosphere was nice, for lunch All and all we would try it again

Yelp

Yelp
I checked this place out on YELP! Promised a friend a great lunch for his birthday, drove up from Roseburg, and THEY ARE CLOSED. I can't rate the food, it looks great, but if you aren't going to tell folks your days and hours, it's a rip. Do us all a favor and either be open when you say you are or close up and be done with it.

Yelp
Food is amazing. Like some of the best in town, consistently. I particularly love the pho, tacos, and strawberry smoothie.

Great homemade juices and assorted bowls Great service with a smile. Come here when I'm visiting from Chicago

Yelp
My girlfriend was excited to check out Nourish. They had good reviews (4.7), outdoor seating to reduce COVID-19 risks, vegan options, and yummy-sounding smoothies. What could go wrong? Finding parking at this building can be challenging. Most spots are either reserved or assigned to the businesses in the building. We were excited that one of their two outdoor small tables was available. We both are vaccinated but still wanted to minimize our risks. I put on my KN95 mask and went inside to get us menus while my girlfriend reserved the outdoor table. The ambiance inside is cozy and slightly industrial. It had a relaxed vibe. There is a big menu on the wall. I asked if they had menus I can take outside since we are sitting at the outdoor table. The bearded guy said they don't have paper menus except what's on the wall and online. When I'm out with my girlfriend, I would rather focus my attention on her and our experience rather than my phone. I let my girlfriend know about the menu situation. She went inside to look at their menu, while I looked up their website to review their menu online and continue to secure the table. This initial friction in ordering is already creating a negative customer experience. The bearded guy came out to check on us. He asked how we were doing. I said, "I am still scrolling through your online menu, but wish you have paper menus." He replied, "We're not quite there yet" (after 3 years in business). I thought privately, "You'd be there and have two menus for the outdoor tables if you give a kid $10, papers and crayons." It was 92°F outside and they didn't offer any water. I placed an online order for two of "The Vegan" with added tempeh ($32) and a "Keep It 100" ($8.50) smoothie. My girlfriend went in to check on the order after 10 minutes (the estimated ready time). She came out empty-handed. They brought out the food a couple of minutes later WITHOUT any glasses of water! The temperature is heading toward 93°F. I walked to my SUV to get one of our Hydroflasks and the CamelBak filled with ice water. A third of the way into our time there, my girlfriend asked for water and they finally gave us some. The description and image for "The Vegan" made it seem like it had a fair amount of vegetables. It had mostly noodles. The added tempeh (not soybean, possibly lentil) was disgustingly mushy. It would have been better to bake or pan-fry the tempeh so it's slightly crunchy before putting it in the broth. The mushroom seaweed miso broth was too salty. My girlfriend ate a clump of something that was very salty and had a texture that made her want to vomit. I guessing it was a clump of miso paste that was not properly diluted. She finished only half of her noodle soup. The "Keep It 100" smoothie had some interesting flavors. However, the combination of beet and ginger flavors overwhelmed the orange, mango, acai, and coconut flavors. My girlfriend stopped drinking the smoothie after a few sips. Halfway through drinking the smoothie, I tasted something chewy and rubbery -- almost like a semi-cooked boba in boba tea. I took the item out of my mouth with my fingers and laid it on the lid of the container the noodle soup came in. The circular purple "unrolled condom" looking disk is about 1 cm in diameter and made out of latex. The "mini condom" topped off our awful experience so far. I wanted to let it be and never come back, but my girlfriend insisted on bringing it to the restaurant's attention. She carried the lid with the "mini condom" inside and showed it to them. She came out and said their only response was, "We don't know how that got in there." My girlfriend escaped and walked around the building to see what other businesses were there. I stayed to let my body digest the salty noodle soup and the condom-flavored smoothie. A few minutes later, the bearded guy came out with $8 in cash. I said, "Please keep it." He replied, "No, I insist" and left it on the table. We cleaned up our table and brought everything inside for them. We won't be coming back.

Yelp
Wow. I'm soo glad we accidentally found this place!! Just driving by, we saw it and immediately pulled over for lunch. We wanted everything on the menu, but we have the tacos, miso, a strawberry smoothies, and pineapple elixir. WOW! Every bite was FULL of flavor, clean taste, and health. Nailed it. The next morning, we came in for 2 smoothies and a free power shot (I signed up for the points system!) and got to have a nice chat with the owner. This place is 100% what we look for, and we felt lucky that it was still undiscovered and we had it to ourselves. Recommend it for anyone passing through or any locals looking for a great blend of flavor and health.
google avatar

Yelp
Eugene certainly has quite a few culinary treasures. Yesterday I found another one hidden on in a location I've overlooked for too long. We each tried a most tasty and healthy smoothie and explored their unique super healthy menu. Nice people. Terrific food. Best place in town for smoothies. All at a great affordable price. Even comfortable seating inside and outside. A great discovery.

Yelp
Super, fresh food and lovely service. Have enjoyed frequently Nourish since the start and love the expanded menu. Their tacos are epic and the shrimp salad as well. Love this place. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Tacos were INCREDIBLE and with a gluten allergy I could still eat them! So good. My daughter loved her Ramen as well.

Yelp
Well-named, the food is indeed real and nourishing . No sysco here. The ramen is solid, but sometimes can take a while, regardless of whether they're busy. Still, it's worth the wait for a really nice bowl.
google avatar

Yelp
Great music, great atmosphere, WONDERFUL food, I got the spicy ramen and let me tell ya it is Phenomenal! Great flavor, the egg was a PERFECT soft boiled, the broth.. OMG. Come try this place.

Yelp
Food is good, it's just really expensive for no reason. The ambiance is wonderful. the service is,,,, okay. They're nice, they just kinda,,, hover over you a bit. If it's not the guy with the glasses, the other employees kinda just act like they don't care

Madeleine K.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came in tonight looking for a nice healthy place to eat and we were absolutely blown away! I could tell that a lot of love was put into it because of how good it tasted. We got "The spicy" with tempeh. The noodles were amazing, the egg was high quality, and the flavor overall was soo umami! I was also very satisfied with the tempeh. We both felt really good afterwards. The chef was also very attentive, friendly and accomodating. The food was brought out to us swiftly as well! Will definitely be coming back! Mouthwatering goodness to soothe the soul, warm the heart, and free the mind.

Yelp
I really wanted to love this place. Truly. It's within walking distance of where we live, we are ramen enthusiasts, and we were warmly greeted (granted we were the only people there when we arrived, so we had their undivided attention). We started out with the fermented flight, which was a solid choice given my love for all things fermented. For $6, you get a nice generous bouquet of several of their house pickled veggies and krauts served on nori, all nicely spiced and flavorful. Where this went horribly wrong was the kimchi. Nothing gives me more joy than a finely spiced and brined kimchi, but this stuff was so salty it was inedible. Not sure if it was just a bad batch, but neither my wife or I could eat it. Then out came the ramen. The Spicy with pork belly was my choice, and the chicken and mushroom seaweed broth was intoxicating. Just outrageous flavor. Nicely spiced. But...as tasty as it was, the bowl itself was overwhelmed by the ingredients. Pork belly is crack to me; I'm a fiend for it. And with two monstrous slabs of it soaking in the broth, I was suffering from an overdose. The pickled bok choy was tasty, but overdone. Too much pickle for my umami palate. Ultimately, for me, ramen is about the broth and the noodle. The other components should complement, not steal the show. Would we come back? Sure. I'd love to try the fresh pressed juices, and the Vegan ramen looked tasty based on what I saw at another satisfied patron's table. The quality of the ingredients is undeniable, and the staff aim to please. But it seems like some of the recipes need some work, the seating seemed awkward in the tiny space, and at $14 a pop for a bowl of ramen, it's a bit on the overpriced side.

Yelp
Nourish is what I've been searching for - a menu with healthy offerings that are creative and wonderfully delicious. Their cuisine leaves you feeling energized and with a sense of well being. What a gift!!!

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place. It has a good atmosphere from the outside, the menu looked promising, and it's local- who doesn't want to support local businesses? I'm not happy writing this review, but I do want to provide full transparency of my experiences here. Yesterday, I went in and the noodle machine was broken. Figured I'd still try to support them, and ordered a juice instead- $7.50 for a bottle of spicy water that tasted faintly of juice. Not impressed. Figured I'd try again when noodles were available, which was a mistake unfortunately. Ordered The Vegan with Barbecue Tempeh, at 11:39am, and I was told it'd be 15 minutes. Showed up at 11:55am, and was told it'd be another 5 minutes. Totally fine. I sat down, and waited patiently while the cook stood around chatting with customers and honing his knife for 5 minutes. 10 minutes passed, and he finally stopped talking and came over to tell me it'd be 3 more minutes. 7 minutes pass, and my food is finally ready. $17.50 for a single serving of noodles, better be really good noodles, right? Wrong. If you told me a raccoon went out back, grabbed some scraps and tossed them into a pot with 1/2 oil and 1/2 seaweed, I'd believe you. I wanted to like it so bad, I really did, but I had to stop eating halfway through because it was just not good. The ingredients are just so wrong, the bottom half of my serving was pretty much just densely packed seaweed, and there were 5 or 6 tiny pieces of tempeh. I'm not saying don't try it out, in fact I'd recommend you try it out because I'm sure there are better things on the menu, but if you're disappointed, just know you're not alone. This is just my experience, and if I could give less than 1 star for it, I would.

Yelp
Fabulously delicious and healthy food!! I'm so happy they're in the neighborhood!!! Excellent addition to our food court across and down the streets!

Yelp
Loved the ramen with gf low carb noodles. Warming and restorative. Tasted like a healing broth.

Yelp
They made the best smoothie I have ever had, the strawberry milkshake I believe it was called. I have had their ramen, it too is really the best I have had in Eugene, but they aren't making it yet in the new location.

Yelp
This kind of cuisine is something I've enjoyed in SF, Seattle, and Portland, but never Eugene. Until now. Other patrons insisted that everything on the menu was delicious. From my experience with a smoothie, salad, and soup, I would believe it. One of the ferments nearly lifted me out of my body and that ain't hyperbole. This restaurant is very accommodating to dietary needs and healthy cleansing. Whether you're vegan, gluten free, Paleo, traditional, fasting ... you'll have an easy time finding something here. I don't like to leave Yelp reviews unless they are 1 or 5 stars, because what's the point if it's just ok, right? Nourish is 100% a 5-star experience. Will return many times. Can't recommend it highly enough. I hope they open multiple locations and get their ferments further into the local economy. I would buy a jar every week.

Yelp
I am so excited that this place is in Eugene. Went in for a ramen and juice yesterday - easily the best ramen in Eugene. I ordered the spicy ramen with chicken meatballs. I love spicy food and this soup was perfect! The flavors were so rich and comforting. There is a perfectly cooked soft-boiled egg, so that when you break the yoke it blends with the broth. I also ordered the spicy immunity juice was a perfect compliment to the soup. I can not wait to eat here again, and know that it will become a regular stop when I am in town!
google avatar

Courtney G.

Yelp
If you are looking for a local establishment truly committed to health and wellness, this is the place! While other places in town offer juice cleanses, Nourish has an awesome selection with no added ingredients, and they truly will take the time to sit and help you customize it to your needs. Their prices are also very reasonable compared to other cleanses you can buy in town, and they will deliver locally as well as pick up your bottles for you to recycle! After doing a juice cleanse, I went back in to try some of their food. The menu is limited, but every single thing was incredibly delicious, fulfilling, and made with whole ingredients (and I have pretty picky standards for that kind of thing). I tried one of the tacos, a bone broth Ramen bowl with gluten-free noodles, as well as various smoothies. This is definitely a spot I plan to become a regular!

Yelp
Finally got in here to try their noodles/ramen. I was impressed with the decor; natural/industrial look. Fresh. The tables caused a bit of quandary; traditional high tops with stools or a mid level with chairs. We chose the mid level and were happy because it put us right in the zone for chop sticking the noodles right in! I ordered the Original bowl with pork belly. Not disappointed at all. Even though it had a seafood base with black truffle oil, nothing in it was overpowering. I also got a few "preserves jalapeño" tossed in for a bite. The owner gave great service and was friendly. The noodle chef, Dillon, was a star. He was rocking that kitchen solo during the lunch rush. The prices are a bit higher than other ramen places, but you're getting healthy, consciencious food here. Props!

This is as good as it gets. Their tempeh is gluten free and vegan and comes out marbled and seared. I did a double take because it looked like meat. It was substantial and delicious with a miso aftertaste. Fresh ramen noodles are homemade and perfectly al dente. And this is umami to the max for this vegetarian! We started with a Buttercup shake with reishi tea substituted for coffee. So filling and tasty. I had the gojiade, too. Service is impeccable and kind. Got some work done for a quiet afternoon. Perfect day with perfect food.
