The 22 Best Restaurants In Cape Town 2024

"If Lisa Frank grew up to become a vegan yoga instructor who lives in a treehouse, that treehouse would be Nourish’d. There’s a lot of glitter, plants, and a sign that reads “unwind, get naked, relax” (please don’t). They serve delicious, inexpensive smoothies and bowls that have been put together with more care than most people put into getting ready in the morning. Don’t expect a leisurely breakfast, though. Nourish’d draws a crowd, so plan on sharing a table or taking your food with you." - bri cave

21 Best Restaurants in Cape Town

"The vegan movement is gaining ground in the Cape Town, and Nourish’d is one of the most authentic, hip spots in which to revel in eating and living consciously. This quirky little café is boho heaven—like a rustic beach bar on a tropical island, complete with granadilla creepers—and makes for a small oasis on a busy street. Pop in for elaborate salads, CBD smoothie bowls, gourmet sandwiches on gluten-free sourdough or rye bread, gut-healing vegan broths, and cleansing juices." - Jane Broughton

The place is small, quiet, and cozy with limited seating, but it’s definitely worth a visit. I truly enjoyed the açaí bowl I had it was delicious, though a bit pricey, yet worth the experience. The only thing I didn’t like was the presence of dogs inside the dining area, which made me feel a bit uneasy while eating. Other than that, the staff were very kind and friendly.

Ordered a smoothie bowl and coffee, the coffee arrived and it was almost empty. There was no plastic seal on the cup like when you order from coffee houses like Vida, it had one small paper sticker seal on the drinking spout so most of it spilled out during the trip. Called to complain but they said they can't help me since it was a Uber eats order and it was the drivers fault rather then their not packaging correctly. If coffees will be sent with uber motorbikes they should be packaged correctly. Won't order take-ways from here again.

I’ve been wanting to visit Nourish’d for ages — always driving past, telling my fiancé how much I wanted to try it because it looks so cute from the outside with all the plants. Sadly, the reality inside could not be more different. We walked in around 8:15am and were completely ignored. The guy behind the counter didn’t greet us once — in fact, he made a clear effort not to. None of the staff bothered to acknowledge us either. We sat down, still nothing. My fiancé eventually had to go stand at the counter, where all the staff were gathered chatting, and even then no one stepped up until he directly asked if anyone was actually going to help us. The service was not just disappointing, it was downright rude. No warmth, no welcome, no basic courtesy. For a place I was so excited to finally visit, this was a total letdown and honestly an embarrassing way to treat customers. First impressions matter — and this was a disaster. If I could give zero stars, I would. One star only because Google won’t let me go lower. Also they don’t have toilets despite the big yard where they could easily put out a porter toilet up. Instead they sent me to Bacini’s next door which opens at 9am. Note that was at 8:30 surely the staff are well aware it’s still closed but they sent me there. Also no sweetener which is fairly odd for a health conscious store.

One of my favorite spots in Cape Town. The team is always friendly and welcoming, and the smoothie bowls are fresh, tasty, and feel really good. Simple, honest food made with care.

Don’t recommend. We travelled in from Norway, and what we heard was this is a must visit location. The service is was not great, so expect long waits, the food was nothing special. But the coffee was incredible with the almond milk. Over, the biggest shock was the standard of the place, looks like cleanliness is the lowest priority. See photos for the reality of where you food is prepared. We also got served our food on a broken plate, and the avo and toast was literally that, avo and toast. So many other great places to have the same food.

As a very regular customer, Nourish’d is without a doubt my all time favourite spot in Cape Town. I cannot recommend it more highly to absolutely everyone 💚 Their menu has a huge variety of plant based dishes and caters for absolutely every taste bud. I am blown away every time by the world class quality and freshness of the food, the impeccable service and kindness of the staff, and the all round genuine love and care that goes into making this place so incredibly special and truly unmatched. Their smoothie bowls deserve a mention of their own. I have yet to find a place anywhere in the world that can compare to the literal art in a bowl that Nourish’d produces. Their Gone Green bowl is clearly a personal favourite 😍 I have also arranged for private catering with Nourish’d for two events now. Both times there was no question in my mind about where to turn for catering, Nourish’d was the first choice. For the most recent event, I contacted Nourish’d only two days before the event and still they did not hesitate to accommodate me and ensured that every need was met meticulously. They delivered the freshest, most divine platters that everyone absolutely raved about. I cannot recommend their catering services enough, and needless to say - won’t hesitate to use Nourish’d again for any upcoming event in the future. Whether you are dining in, taking out, or arranging catering, you are guaranteed to receive only the freshest, most delicious, nutritious plant based goodness that there is. Natasha and the rest of the staff at Nourish’d are truly an incredible team of people. Nourish’d has set the bar incredibly high. Cape Town is so lucky to have you 💚🌼🌈🌱✨

My favorite place in the world! No joke. I am a big foodie when it comes to healthy food especially! Been vegan since 2008 more or less. And I love to cook myself. This is literally the place that cooks like I would and I get so many inspections from being there every other day 🤣. Plus the team is not just saying “here is your order, it was made with love” they mean it. Love you guys and am going to miss you big time!!!

This is the cutest little spot! I love all the vegan/vegetarian options and all the food that’s I’ve had here has been amazing. The best smoothie bowls and wraps. Would definitely recommend!
