We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Noveau on 4/25/25 and it was absolutely amazing! Clark was incredibly easy to work with—super accommodating, responsive, and genuinely kind throughout the entire process. Contrary to some other reviews, he was an amazing host who went above and beyond—literally helping with anything and everything to make sure our day ran smoothly. The venue is beautifully decorated as is, but Clark is very flexible and welcomes any decorations you’d like to bring in to personalize the space. He gives you over 5 hours to get everything ready and is there every step of the way to help. Planning for this venue was super easy—Clark handles the timeline so well that honestly, you don’t even need a wedding planner or day-of coordinator unless you’re aiming for absolute perfection. The space comfortably held our 150 guests, and everyone raved about how beautiful and fun it all was. The open bar was a huge hit—premium liquors and shots were just $1 or $2 each, which guests absolutely loved. The price overall was unbeatable for what we got—truly a fantastic bang for your buck. People are *still* asking us about all the details of the venue and several are planning to host their own events there after seeing how amazing everything turned out. The memories we made here were worth every single penny. If you're even considering this venue—book it in a heartbeat. You won’t regret it!

Stopped by to check out the place. It will be the reception venue for my daughter's wedding. It is a very pretty and unique place. I'm looking forward to seeing it all fixed up for them.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception here! In addition to the bar itself being stunning, the staff is great as well. Clark Creasey was excellent throughout the entire process, from the planning process to even AFTER the wedding when one of our guest's lost her diamond and sapphire ring. Before our wedding: Clark always responded very promptly to our questions (typically <24 hours). He was incredibly helpful: he shared vendors with us and also potential seating charts. Clark also helped us save money– an example is when I was mistaken over certain fees and overshot them, and he corrected me even though he could have let me overpay. I appreciated the integrity. During our wedding: My coordinator and vendor team was great! For Art Nouveau/Clark, my new MIL even mentioned how impressed she was after the wedding described Clark managing things very well. One thing I appreciated was that during the ceremony, Clark made sure there were no interruptions during the service. After the wedding: Even AFTER the wedding and our contract was fulfilled, Clark and Art Nouveau continued to provide exceptional service. One of our guests lost her very expensive ring. Clark found it at the first chance he could and arranged a time for us to pick it up. Again, even though he no longer had any obligation to us he still maintained his prompt communication. ––––– The wedding venue itself was very nice. The atmosphere was absolutely perfect, and our guests loved celebrating with us here. We chose this venue over others because of the parking, how reasonable the prices were, the bar package, the ceremony option. We had our wedding reception here in May 2025. We only heard positive things from our guests about the venue and that it was a very intimate location. This place is very affordable compared to the other locations we toured, and I would say is also superior in most other ways. Great "bang for your buck" if you will. Clark was great - quick to respond to communications and very willing to to help us customize many small details for the evening (seating arrangements, drinks, schedule etc). Clark also made some situational concessions around the open bar (he did not have to) that we were very grateful for as it helped make the event flow even more smoothly. We would definitely recommend this venue to anyone.

We hosted our wedding reception here this last weekend. Clark (owner) is super responsive and accommodating. We live out of state which makes planning a wedding a bit complicated. Clark allowed me to come and explore the different floor plans whenever I was in town. On our wedding weekend, there was expectant rain. I originally wanted to have some activities outside but we had to move everything inside. Clark and my wedding coordinator made it work. The space fit 120-130 guests/vendors, 3 food stations w/ food prep area, photo booth, dance floor, and small activities comfortably and plenty of space to dance and mingle cocktail style. Everyone raved on how unique and beautiful this venue was. Clark and his staff is amazing!

We had our wedding at Nouveau Art Bar and it was a major success. They where able host all our wedding guest (150 people) with ease and provided great bar tending service through out the night. Our guest enjoyed the atmosphere and lighting. Added bonus that they have a DJ stand in place and the dance floor was large enough for our wedding party

Nouveau Antique Art Venue is such a gem of wedding venue! It was the perfect choice for what we were looking for: beautiful, moody, and unique. The lamps are so gorgeous! Clark was great to work with and provided a helpful list of recommended vendors. We had about just under 100 guests and were able to comfortably accommodate everyone for the ceremony and reception. The parking situation was easy for guests as well.

Great bang for your buck when it comes to wedding venues. The open bar setup works perfectly, and the layout is great for small weddings. The venue is also so beautiful, you could use it as is if you'd like. The operator, Clark, however, was hard to work with in person. Over email, he was polite and attentive. On our day, he got into arguments with other vendors and didn't recall any of the plans we had spoken of. He also treated members of our wedding party rudely. Get yourself a day-of coordinator, if you're a DIY bride, and this place will be perfect.

I attended a wedding here over the weekend and it was beautiful! This spot is covered with colorful Tiffany I lamps which makes for a vintage, eclectic vibe. The wedding I attended had plenty of tables for seating. There was a fully stocked bar too! The outside seating and patio area was a bonus! Overall it's a cool venue and it was a great place for a wedding.

My review is based on a wedding reception I attended here. Nouveau is an antique art bar in Midtown. This has to be one of the coolest and unique venues I have been to in Houston. I knew nothing about it before coming in, but I was blown away when I first stepped in. The ceiling and walls are filled with antique Tiffany-style lamps which gives this place such elegant and upscale vibes. The parking lot is spacious and so is the inside. It doubles as a bar as well and it was fully stocked and ready for our gathering. The staff was super friendly and my bestie had nothing but good things to say about this place. If you're looking for something unique and special for your next gathering, check this place out!

We had wonderful service at our daughter's wedding in August 2022. The manager provided excellent service making our party was a very memorable one.

I had my wedding reception here 4 years ago, and what a gem this place is throughout all the cookie cutter venues Houston has to offer. Of course, the Tiffany chandeliers won me (I say me because what man is involved with wedding planning?) over when I was on my quest to having a unique-to-us wedding. The owner, Clark, was 100% respondent to all my emails. The staff was attentive and kind. We haven't been back since our reception but hopefully we can change that soon to revisit where the best day ever happened!

Our son and his bride held a wedding celebration here last week. The venue is terrific. It lent itself to both enough room for our 70 or so guests and at the same time had that small venue feel. Clark, owner, was easy to work with. Totally recommend Nouveau Antique Art Venue if you are looking for something terrific that is not like a typical bar. As extra plus, plenty free parking onsite.

Great bar but needs to play better music. Things like: Ella Fitzgerald, Billie holiday, frank Sinatra, Benny goodman, Sam Cooke

Can be used for a wedding venue. The bartenders and staff were amazing at keeping the drinks flowing and guest happy. They went above and beyond what was expected of them. One found a purse and tried to find the owner, it was a guy who found it. What an honorable person and establishment. Thank you!

You won't get refined cocktails here, but you come for the ambiance. The gorgeous Tiffany lamps, romantic jazz music, and scenes from old classics in the background...there is a reason why this venue gets rented out for weddings. Both times I've been here, it was never too crowded. No ridiculously long waits at the bar, no talking at the top of your voice in an attempt to talk over the music and the crowd. Excellent place for a romantic date, definitely recommend checking out at least once.

Hey, I just met you and this is crazy, but... I would have never found this bar if it wasn't for my coffee meets bagel date. yeah. you read that right. it's the 21st century and nowadays people my age meet on dating apps. it's cool. it's fun. So my date loves blues/lindy hop/swing dancing. And I have never met a guy who loves that style of social dancing. But you know what, I was open to trying new things. So we met and went on a Wednesday night. There was an event at Nouveau called Wednesday Bluesday at Nouveau Art Bar. And let me tell you, IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!! It was a small crowd dancing to blues, about 20 people ish? People of different ages ranging from early 20s to I wanna say 50s. And people are so friendly. The atmosphere is so inviting, and there are SO MANY tiffany lamps everywhere! Lots of seating. Friendly bar staff. Cool DJ. By far the BEST date I have EVER been on in my life! Thanks Nouveau for the great dance space!

I had my wedding reception here and I'm so glad I did! My guests are still raving about the beautiful venue and how much fun they had. Clark and his team did a wonderful job keeping the drinks flowing and the party going! I'm a planner so I really appreciated being able to stop by during their regular business hours to get measurements or plan where things would go. Clark responded to emails promptly and was very helpful throughout the entire process. It started pouring when we were leaving the ceremony space but Clark greeted every guest with an umbrella and covered them as they entered the building! We hid in the car for a bit before our grand entrance and he even brought us a drink while we waited. Now that's above and beyond! If you're looking for a beautiful place that is a great value, open bar, and flexibility in vendors- look no further. You won't be dissapointed!

This may very well be my new favorite bar. Bold declaration, I know, but hear me out! So I'm not one for tight intimate spaces. I mean I like discreetly groping on people as much as the next gal, but sometimes it's nice to not continuously inhale other people's carbon dioxide. No but really, what I appreciate about this place is the high ceilings and well, it's almost sprawling-like with the immense square footage. Several areas equipped with cushy seats and coffee table for larger groups and smaller tables and bar stools for you dating mind. Oh apparently you can call ahead and reserve if you and your large group should desire a fantastic evening here. All the large group areas were reserved last time we were here, so I'm assuming this is kind of the place to be. Since the weather is finally cooling down (holy heck, took it long enough!), there's also the nice relaxing little patio. Well it's not terribly little actually - wasn't very cramped at all the last Saturday I was here. So have no fear non-smokers, you can actually enjoy your outdoor Nouveau Antique Art experience - take in that splendid Fall air while you can because you know, it'll be gone before you know it and we will all be dying from heat stroke (hurray?). Another wonderful thing about this venue is the people! In terms of patron - a decently varied demographic. Not too Washington Corridor-esque which tremendously pleases me. Definitely a late twenties and thirties crowd - just the way I like it. Also very fortunately, I've yet to feel the scorn of the alleged unpleasant bartenders. Don't worry, I'll be sure to update this should it ever happen, ha ha And all right, the obvious - the dozens (maybe hundreds?) of Tiffany lamps strewn all about. When I had heard of this initially I thought, "Gross, how gaudy!" but golly gee, they're pretty. We all couldn't help but pull out our cameras and cell phones and furiously snapped photos of our favorite lamps. Anyway, love this place lots, so do my friends. For now at least!

I don't typically go out to bars, but after one evening at Nouveau, I might have to start. We went here for the after party of Yelp Prom 2010. We weren't going to go at first because we didn't want to try and find parking, but I was told about the parking lots. Well, people weren't lying. A large lot in the front and one in the back are ample parking. Parking in midtown? Wow, what a plus. I walked in and was completely mesmerized by the Tiffany lamps adorning the tables, ceilings, nooks, etc... It so beautiful. I loved that there were little seating areas throughout the bar. I liked the huge size of the place, and the front area hidden around the corner from the main bar area. There is even a faux fire place. I loved that there was fun music playing like Pulp, but it wasn't so loud that you had to yell over it. There are even some picnic tables in the back for the smokers. This bar, for me, was the right mix of everything. Parking, great decor, music level not too loud, and lots of space made for a great evening. I am glad that I didn't have to deal with the bitchy bartender. I do believe she should have waited on me, but ignored me so someone else had to get me a drink. It's really too bad that one person can be so rude.

My review is of this business as an event venue. My son & his bride had their wedding here this weekend. It went great and was an excellent one-stop venue for the wedding and reception. The building near the museum district does not look like much but it has a good-sized private and free parking lot and nearby street parking enough for an event of 150-200 people. Rare this near downtown. Inside it is Tiffany Lamp central and all the lighting is either from table & floor lamps or suspended from the ceiling. The central focus is a large wrap-around bar which straddles 2 adjoining spaces. There is also additional outdoor seating, dance space and a stage. There is an area for the bride & attendants as well. They supplied the tables & chairs, booth seating, tablecloths and everything you'll need. We were allowed in early for decorating & florist and we had an hour for the rehearsal the night before. The have audio equipment and mics and the soundsystem was good for your dining & dancing pleasure! One of the best things was the bar options. We opted for flat per-person pricing for beer/wine/champagne and well drinks. If guests want call drinks they can pay or run a tab. We were allowed to have an unaffiliated caterer that was great. I'll review them also. The bar staff and service folks were gracious and terrific. Just a perfect quirky place for a wedding and reception

We had our wedding here back in January and the staff and owner really know how to cater to their guests! Clark was very helpful throughout the entire thing, from start to finish. This venue is beautifully decorated with so many Tiffany lamps, it really sets a romantic mood and it really does take your breath away. And as others have mentioned, since the venue itself has so much decor, we didn't feel the need to go overboard on flowers or other decorations. Fantastic place!

We got married here and could not have enjoyed it more. It's a gorgeous venue, affordably priced and ran professionally. I can not recommend enough!

I was a guest at a wedding reception and I thought this place was quite quaint and perfect. Typical weddings are large halls, but this place was just perfect and more unique. I really enjoyed it and the bartenders were great. I didn't catch their names but they were very friendly and eager to help. I would consider it if you were needing a venue to rent out, they seem to excel at that.

Adorable spot. Beautiful as previous reviews have mentioned. Excellent bar service, although we did go on a slow Friday evening. Atmosphere is less hipster, more mainstream, something for your whole crew type of spot. Lotttts of seating and sweet staff.

I love this place. The Tiffany lamps are gorgeous and the drinks are great. The place is dimly lit, and very romantic. Lots of unique chairs and couches throughout the place. They have ample parking, and it's very close to the metro rail. My only complain is that my every other weekend attempts to come here, there's seems to be a wedding going on and I'm turned away. I wish there's a way to know they're closed for a private event before I walked from the station.

This is an amazing little cocktail place, but there only open for events now. The owner let me and friend, sit and have one glass of wine. Fun place, to bad it's not open for everyone now.

It's as if a group of 20 somethings stumbled upon an old antique furniture warehouse filled with dusty credenzas, armoires, chiffoniers and other antiquated names for furniture that would confuse even the most savvy of IKEA employees. In this warehouse, hundreds of forgotten Tiffany lamps lay dormant. In this group of 20 somethings is a pretty handy electrician and he decides to suspend these dormant Tiffany lamps upside down from the ceiling, and flip the switch...brushing the interior of this once lifeless warehouse in a glow of romanticism and allure. They build out a bar, add a few TVs (this is the 21st century, people), and never let their parents know that they've found this diamond in the rough. I say 20 somethings because the soundtrack isn't your mother's top 100 and the crowds definitely younger than you'd expect, and I can live with this. While I can't tell you how I got here or where it is in Houston, nor can I say I wasn't a little skeptical when pulling into the fenced gravel parking lot in the dark...I really did enjoy this bar. I love Nouveau Art, and Alphonse Mucha, and the mural on the outside (by Anat Rosen, whose murals I now want to stalk all over Houston) nods to his work. I enjoyed a well made Moscow Mule, and a very stiff drink that was supposed to be Horsefeathers? To the bartender's credit, I didn't know what Horsefeathers was till Matt E. explained it to me. Personally, I think this would be an excellent place to take a date after dinner if it's going really well, especially if they've never been here before...If it's not going well, save this one for the next date 'cause they're not going to easily forget this place! There are little nooks and crannies you can escape to, and discuss how much you both love dogs, or listen intently to their story about their 3 years in the Peace Corps while catching whatever is on the two TVs over the bar. Or go with a big group of friends, they have ginormous tables you can all congregate around...maybe bring a pack of cards, but not quarters please, these are antiques, people! I would definitely head back to this magical warehouse that comes to life behind the walls painted in the style of Art Nouveau for another Moscow Mule and good times!

The name says it all with what exactly this bar is all about, Nouveau Antique Art Bar is exactly what you will get when you walk in. Not only do these beautiful Tiffany lamps or Tiffany knock-offs adorn the tables and walls, but look up because they'll be hanging upside down from the ceiling. The entire bar looks like a complete piece of art in itself. Want a romantically lit bar to swoon your sweetie? Then stop in here for some serious snuggling on their plush lounge seating. With enough parking to handle a large crowd of patrons, this place easily won me over with their large fenced in lot. The homeless shelters are just within blocks of this place, so having a large fenced in lot helps to keep patrons safe from potential crime. This isn't to say that the homeless in the area aren't to be trusted, but it's always better safe than sorry when dealing with those that could potentially be mentally disturbed. There is street parking available if the parking lot is full; I would recommend not parking too far if you opt to do this. There's an outdoor patio at the front entrance, which seems a little odd since you have to be carded to go in, but can bring alcoholic beverages right back out the front door to sit outside. The front room of the bar is expansive and large enough to hold large crowds of people. When the bar gets busy, the available seating room becomes non-existent. It's best to hit up this bar before 10pm for best seating and best service from the bartenders. The seating is as eclectic as your grandma's house with Victorian chairs being paired next to leather love seats. There's also ample bar stools available at the bar and also at several bar top tables. If it's a reserved section you would like, then just call ahead to reserve a table to ensure that you'll have a spot to sit if you plan to arrive here after 10pm. The establishment wraps around past the bar all the way to the back, where you'll also find additional seating in addition to the restrooms. I'm always a fan of a bar that has a pre-printed cocktail menu with their own concoction of cocktails, beers available by bottle or tap, and wines by the glass and bottle. It's super convenient to not have to guess or ask what's good or available when it's pre-printed for patrons, especially if you're spending most of the night lip locked with your lover. Cocktail waitresses aren't usually taking orders, so your best bet is to make friends with the bartender to get your drinks ordered and served faster. This is definitely one of my favorite bars because of the beautiful décor and the sensual lighting that set the mood, especially for a date night out. The bartenders are great with how professional their service is and I've found them to always be friendly to me with each trip here. The ample parking lot only adds to the experience when I'm not forced to drive around looking for street parking. Uber and The Wave also pick up/drop off here just in case you're not driving.

Found my new hangout spot. It's dark, beautiful, spacious, with plenty of indoor seating, a small outdoor section and it's own parking lot. Watch your step when walking in. I almost tripped stepping down the ramp into a (what seemed) pitch black room. Once the eyes adjusted, I was astounded with all the lovely Tiffany lamps hanging from the ceiling, adorning the walls and set atop the bar and highboys. If Cassidy happens to be working, order your cocktails from her. She made a great chocolate martini, and also gushed about how well she makes a "chocolate milk martini." She shakes by request, so just tell her what flavors you're thirsting for, and she'll whip up something special for you. That's good for some people, but for cocktail virgins who prefer a menu of selections to choose from, this can be a bit stressful. Nouveau, I too recommend coming up with at least a few signature go-cocktails that patrons select from. Service got a bit weird towards the ending of happy hour and the place started to fill up. And the music? Yes, many of the selections were lame. Fortunately, they started to play some Sinatra and Winehouse (someone mentioned it was Sinatra night), but early in the eve it wasn't pretty - at all. But that doesn't discourage me from telling others about this intimate and artsy new hangout.

We had our daughter's wedding reception here last Saturday night, we had 180 guests. All the guests commented on what a neat, offbeat and Beautiful place it was, with all the Tiffany lamps. We had three food trucks and they set up perfectly in the parking lot. We had the outside patio space which was used as a cigar bar. It was just the best place and fit my daughters personality to a T!

We used this location for our wedding and loved it! Clark was helpful and made sure that our night went well without a hitch! The venue is cozy and perfect for small to medium size weddings. The price is very affordable too! I highly recommend this location for weddings!

We had our wedding here and it was really great! Clark was very helpful through every single step from booking to actually being at the venue on the day of the wedding. The venue itself is beautiful and you don't really need to add extra décor as the room already has a certain look to it. We love that the package included the bar, as must places don't. I will keep this venue in mind not just for weddings, but for corporate and other social events.

This seemed like a really bad concept when I first heard about it - but when I finally stopped by for a tasty beverage, I was pleasantly surprised. The stuff and surroundings is pretty unique and neat. It is not the scene I really thought would lend itself to drinking but hey - part of the battle is admitting you were once wrong about something. It is really dark though. Really, really dark like La Carafe. Just remember that Seinfeld episode with the woman who looks different depending on lighting conditions - and watch how much you drink.

I've been saving my Yelp review for Nouveau Antique Art Bar for a rainy day, but because I posted a picture way back when, Yelp keeps incessantly reminding me to post one. I GOT YOU, YELP. DON'T WORRY ABOUT ME. Quickly, briefly, without further ado: why Nouveau Antique Art Bar is so great. - Located in Midtown, but not the yuppie, post-frat part that makes you feel grimy and trashy after you leave it. Instead, it's off the beaten path (so to speak), with a full parking lot. That's right, FREE PARKING. IN MIDTOWN. WOW. - Huge area with plenty of seating. Conversations can be carried on without ambiance getting too loud, while still maintaining enough of that bar feel so you feel like you're out and about. - Solid bartending, ample counter space, averagely priced drinks ($1 off during happy hour from 4:30-9:00). - Makes David N. quote Anchorman in his Yelp review. I love scotch. Scotchy, scotch, scotch. Here it goes down, down into my belly... - And most importantly, the art nouveau decor with a boatload of Tiffany stained lamps. Coming here slips you into another time in all the right ways. Grab a drink in your hand, take a sip, and look around the space. If you don't feel instantly better, I don't know what to tell ya.

As many people have pointed out about this location, this is an unique bar with intimately lit bar as the bar is full of Tiffany style lamps and chandeliers with good selection of beer at a good price for being a bar in Midtown. I have been here mostly for after party of an event and/or parties. One of the perk for this bar is that it has it's own parking lot with decent amount of parking, did I mention there's no charge to park in the lot as well? One of the thing you have to remember is that the bar is really dark and on the weekends, it will be blasting dance music for some reason as in my opinion, it doesn't really fit to the mood of the bar but hey, I'm not the owner, so I don't get to say what music should be played there. But for the past few times I've been there, there's always been a special priced drinks for the weekend as it collides with special after party for certain events. It's definitely a great place to hang out, have a drink, and chill. Now in my opinion, it could be a great place for a date night for you to take someone you're just starting to date. However, as I mentioned earlier about the music, it tends to get a bit loud so it's hard to have an one on one conversation with the person without the possibility asking him or her "What?" or "Could you say that again?" Other than that, this is one awesome, unique bar that hopefully it will be here for the next few years.

Great big bar with all these fantastic lights and hidden seating areas with over-stuffed chairs and couches . They have their own parking area that's fenced, so that solves a big problem when partying downtown, and a small outside seating area that's considerately lit (not too bright, not too dim). Good place for a date.

This place is the anti-Washington (Washington Avenue that is - sorry tea partiers). I was quite shocked to find out that this place not only has a parking lot, but it's a very big parking lot, and it's free!!! This is pretty amazing for this side of town especially when you consider there is a lounge across the street who charges their patrons for valet parking or $10 self parking. This place is also lacking the usual velvet rope and douche bag door people that you might find in similar places. Everybody is pretty laid-back and friendly. The decorations are also very unique and has Tiffany lamps hanging from every part of the ceiling and on the shelves. I wouldn't know this from personal experience, but if you're into LSD or shrooms, you should probably avoid this place since the pretty colors will overwhelm you. The crowd is also very diverse and there were people there from all walks of life, races (it appears to be very Asian friendly), and creeds with lots of eye candy. This was my first time going there but I'd imagine it won't be the last.

I loved the decor, lighting, free parking, midtown location, good drinks, nice diverse crowd, cool music (old and new top 40 like), cool bartenders. Drinks on Saturday are STEEP!

I love lamp. Do you really love the lamp, or are you just saying that because you saw it? I-I love lamp! I love lamp. This place is cool. Lamps everywhere. It's right off main, but there is actually a huge private parking lot. The drink prices are cheap, 9 bucks for 2 jagerbombs. The mixed drinks are strong. Service was fast. Will be back.

Once you walk in to this bar you notice how HUGE this place is (maximum capacity was 200+)! I think I could of played hide and seek here. It has lots of places to sit as there are plenty tables and booths to swig a drink. The bar area is enormous! One, two, three, four, five, six ....I just stopped counting the number of different shaped light fixtures. There were probably over 20 so. There are huge flat screen TVs and huge mirrors on the walls too. I liked the ambiance of the bar. The décor of this place is gothic-lish. I didn't really listen to the music but I did remember some 80's music (probably because of all the drinking I was doing). The drinks are reasonably price and the service was excellent. This place would be great for a large group. Even for a date, you can talk without worrying about the loud music and the comfortable booths which only entices flirting. Remember the talking leads to touching and the touching leads to sex and then there's no........

I came here for a private graduation party. I definitely enjoy the vibe here. The lighting sets a really great ambiance. I haven't been here during a regular night but I'm sure it's fun. The restroom is pretty small and only has 2 or 3 stalls. Nonetheless, the space is pretty huge.

When you first walk in you can't help but look up at all the beautiful lamps! There is lots of seating so there wasn't a problem locating a spot for a group. Free Parking - score! Living in houston we like to hear free parking =) The music was good for the most part. You can shake your bootie a bit =) my friend and i even came up with our 360 dance move here! Towards the end of the night the music got kinda sporadic and the DJ even ended up playing the same song twice in a row. Not exactly sure what happened there but that was definitely a sobering moment.

Last time we met was in a low lit room.... Located off of Main and Tuam is Nouveau Antique Art Bar. Good things: Large private parking lot Lots of Lamps Lots of seating Lots of space Low lit Good sized bar $1 PBR at least on Tuesdays Outdoor seating Bad things: $1 PBR at least on Tuesdays Not really busy on Tuesdays So I came here on a Tuesday when the place wasn't packed at all. Where was everyone? I guess it was too cold to go outside on that night! We practically had the place to ourselves this night aside from a few others. We had plenty of nice seating. The bar was really accessible and we had the bartender's attention. There are many lamps around which give the place character. It's not really an art gallery as some might assume but plenty of Tiffany lamps are around. I don't know how this place is when it's busy but I'll be back to find out!

Gorgeous event space. The unassuming entrance leads you into a sizable venue decorated with 100s of unique stained glass chandeliers. Many have discovered how special events come to life at this location. I came here for a wedding and was dazzled by the space. It is a great place to hold pretty good sized gatherings. There is a full bar in the middle and a fully equipped DJ Booth. Plenty of unique chairs and tables surround the dance space. Good sized parking and a pretty good location complete the whole package. I'll have to come back to experience it on a regular evening.

We dropped in on a Wed night at 10:30 after a show at Jones hall and redeemed our tickets for a couple of cocktails. It was nice that you weren't limited to well drinks, which is what I had assumed. I had a dirty martini, perfectly made. A bit petrified at the previous reviews, my inner mantra all day repeated "remember the step down-remember the step down-remember step down". That and I thought I might have to operate off sonar once inside. Both proved a bit overstated. Yep, its an awkward entrance, but you can do it!!! It's an accessibility/slope entrance. Also, you might even be able feel your way to the bar under the soft glow of a hundred Tiffany lamps!! Once there, you will find friendly and attentive bar staff, but sadly, nothing special in cocktail area, which is where this great bar falls short. Thus the 4 stars and not 5. I really enjoyed the music as well. The lighting is very soothing and relaxing. Great for a date or a group, this bar has the typical couch layout, but there's something less awkward about this here. Also, plenty of tables to choose from if couch seating is not your thing. In short, loved it! I think with a few signature cocktails and some nice bites, this place could really nestle in for the long haul!

I absolutely adore this spot. It is beautiful on the inside with lanterns and chandeliers adorned across the ceiling. Very vintage glam and cozy. It's rather spacious inside so it's perfect for groups to come and grab a drink. If not in a group, it's intimate enough for a date night with your special person. I came on a weekday night, I think Tuesday, and the bartender was friendly and quick to get drinks out. I would highly recommend this place! Another plus is that they have their own parking lot!

YOU NEED TO READ THIS REVIEW: Wedding date: 8/29/2015 As an OCD bride with money to spend, I will tell you that the Nouveau Antique Art Bar was by far the BEST venue that we could have found. For your benefit, I'll use bullet points to highlight some of the reasons why you CAN'T go wrong with this place: 1. It's GORGEOUS - 200+ Tiffany lamps - think of your wedding pictures! 2. It's Unique - again, think of your wedding pictures! 3. It's SUPER AFFORDABLE! We rented the venue and they provided a FULL Bar, Table Linens, Votive Candles (yes...they provide candles), and 4 hours of the entire facility for roughly around $35 per person - that's including tax and tip...NO, I didn't stutter. 4. Clark, the Owner. He was the most enjoyable, easy going, helpful, and GENEROUS vendor to work with...we wanted Pat O'Brien Hurricanes as our signature cocktail, and he bought enough mix for 150ppl, and then gifted the charge to us - WHO DOES THAT??? We wanted 2 AC units for the venue (our wedding was in August), and he went out and bought one just for our wedding. I will say that we tried to buy him a thank you gift, but he turned it down, saying that it was his pleasure to work with us - again, who does that? My husband and I are both well established professionals, so we could have easily afforded any venue in Houston (you're thinking snob, and HELL yes, we are snobs - you're welcome). We choose Nouveau Antique Art Bar - why? Because we wanted a wedding that people would be totally unique from the cookie cutter venues - you know what I'm talking about - flowers and decorations thrown up every where, and don't forget the cheesy LED lights. What we got was the party of the century. Try to imagine this...Black Tie Affair, a well known club DJ spinning for 4 hours, 150 of your closest friends, lots of booze, and a room lit up with $200,000 worth of vintage Tiffany lamps - my pictures rocked!

I'm surprised it took me this long to come here. It's located in an area within Midtown where you're at least 3 blocks away from other nearby bars, so maybe that's part of the reason. Once inside, I realized this may be Houston's largest bar. It is definitely one of the most well decorated, which explains why it also doubles as event space part of the week. Literally hundreds of fake Tiffany lamps in all shapes and sizes. It's hard to imagine there isn't one real one existing in this place. Other than the decor which is obviously a conversation piece for newcomers, the service is friendly and drink prices are very reasonable for Midtown. I was surprised to see they had a pre-printed drink menu, but no cocktails listed on it.

Possibly my new favorite bar in Houston!!!! LOVED this place! The bar is huge, with high ceilings, tons of high top tables, bar seating, couches, and other types of seating....and the best part- ALL THE TIFFANY LAMPS! They are so pretty and really make this a unique bar. There is a small outdoor area, but not much to it. On the inside- the music is loud and a great mix...everything from Michael Jackson, to Britney Spears, to Def Leppard. The drinks are good and decently priced. Parking isnt too bad, there are a couple big lots next door. The only problem- the area the bar is in...It is not the best part of town, so make sure you go in and out with a group or at least one person. The Fusion Taco Truck I keep hearing so much about was parked out front with a line that was really long...we didnt try it though since we were still stuffed from Sushi Raku :) This is a great place for any occasion- birthdays, a night out with friends, or date night. Can't wait to come back!!

I love this place! It has a lot of options for seating and the walls and ceilings are covered in beautiful lamps giving it a more intimate vibe. It's never too crowded when i've been here and is great for conversation (awesome date spot) and spending time with friends. Bartender is friendly, drinks well made, and cheap.

This has got to be my newest Midtown hangout spot. There are so many things to love about Nouveau, so I'll start the list now: 1. Ambience - This place is like no other bar in Houston. There are lamps - hundreds of them - gracing the building on the walls, the ceiling and on the floor. It is a little dark inside, but I saw my companions clearly. Oh, and they keep it really cold inside, which I love. Also, the outdoor patio is great on the not-so-Houston-humid nights. 2. FREE. PARKING. EVERYWHERE. - To this day, my mind is blown by the fact that a BAR in MIDTOWN has FREE parking... and LOTS of it! It seems the owners rented or bought the entire lot, as there is free parking on every side of Nouveau. The lot is never full to the best of my knowledge. Thousands of bonus points. 3. Drink selection - I like coffee, wine and beer. Usually however, I have to split my love between a coffee shop and a bar. But not at Nouveau. They serve all three drinkable delicacies and have a wide array of brands, flavors, drafts, etc. etc. etc. 4. The staff and the people - They're great. Down to earth. Chill. There's never an uppity attitude at Nouveau, and one of the bartenders told me that's why she loves working there as much as she does. Mixture of hipsters, middle-aged people, college students and others. 5. The music - I know. But hear me out - they have some of the chillest music playing overhead - Amy Winehouse, Gomez, some funk, some jazz... a great variety. Oh, and if TV is your thing. While we were there, they had The Wizard of Oz playing. Yes. Go here. Needless to say, you won't be disappointed. I haven't checked out their bathrooms, but I'm sure given everything else, they will be up to par.

Watch that first step -it's a doozy! Like Farrah, I too nearly tripped when I first stepped inside here yesterday afternoon. Bit of a downward slope and it is pretty dim. I like dimly lit places, but it was really dim. Cool for when you don't want people to recognize you or stare, but I like to be able to see my company when I'm talking to them, so I spent most of my time outside. In my personal opinion, while the interior was lovely, I felt like the lamps were a tad overkill. Just a tad. But the bill for 1 Fosters, 3 Blue Moons and 1 other beer was $18. Not bad at all. Will definitely return.

Ok so I'm about two weeks late on this review, but man I loved the place, and had to make sure to get this down on yelp! I was here for a wedding (my first Indian wedding!) and the location and staff were so so SO awesome! The place is really spacious, and considering the wedding was in the middle of Texas summer, I couldn't believe how great the air conditioning was at Nouveau. We stayed nice and cool the whole time (other than when I threw down some FIRE moves on the dance floor, of course). I love the decor, but the reason I'm giving Nouveau Art Bar 5 Stars is for the staff. The staff was exceptional! Their bussers were all over the place making sure all our tables were clean and making sure we the guests didn't embarrass ourselves by leaving puddles of spilled drinks. But the bartenders were the real stars. Startenders if you will. Lilia was gracious even after I ended up accidentally throwing like 1,000 napkins on her. I only meant to throw one Lilia, I swear! The other 999 just stuck to it, I suppose.... Scott was pretty great too! I mean, everyone who works there was pretty great. The whole wedding felt comfortable and welcome at Nouveau, and I highly recommend the place to anyone looking for interesting spots in Houston. I know I'll definitely be back!

Here lamps, there lamps, everywhere lamps, lamps. The Tiffany stained glass lighting is amazing, seating is very comfortable, room extremely spacious, there were no issues with service-they were pretty much on point, and to boot their own gated parking lot is a ++.
