Ugh 😩, I love this place so bad, since the time my boyfriend brought me here, I just love everything they serve, starting from entrees all away to desserts 🍮, lovely people and food is make with lots of love. Thank you Nova for making every experience a full meal filled with joy!

Our favorite spot to eat before seeing a show at The Kessler Theater. Today we enjoyed the special of the day which was a chicken chile and an order of veggie enchiladas. Both were super delicious and the service was great as always. Wish we lived closer to be able to enjoy this place more often.

Celeste and the rest of the team were wonderful. The food was great! Love the music too.

My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate our anniversary. He got out of work late but fortunately their kitchen was still open at 10pm—on a Sunday. This is a very special treat for us because we both travel for business. It is very difficult to align our schedules to celebrate together, especially to enjoy delicious cuisine. The dishes had a perfect balance of delicious flavor combinations and healthy fresh foods. When being told about specials, we were shown photos of the fish and one was stuffed so we saw it cut open too. I really loved the eclectic decor. The spooky candle light dinner was our perfect way of celebrating our love.

The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming to newcomers. They even treated our dog to a tasty chicken and bacon mix! The food, drinks, and service were excellent. They have a dog-friendly outdoor patio with air conditioning. Overall, a great local spot! Can’t wait to return!

Excellent food, vibe and indoor and outdoor space. This is a staple of north oak cliff. It is close to Kessler Park and Bishops Arts and it has been in business for many years. The staff are friendly and feel like family. I had the brisket burger, fries and a made-to-order iced tea with the just-right Goldilocks sweetness I rarely find. Burger had great flavor with a nice crispy bun and steak fries had nice spice. Highly recommended.

Wow! I was a bit surprised by how amazing the food was! JD was awesome and hilarious! Wagyu burger phenomenal, Muffuletta pizza was delicious as was the meat pizza. The music was a tad loud hard to have a good conversation. One bathroom and often occupied so if it’s open, go lol. Overall a great place, wonderful atmosphere, great crowd and scrumptious food.

All the food was amazing. We had 2 pizzas and the chicken salad and Nova Mimosas. I had the espresso Martini. The had 2 live performances. The experience was so much fun. We will be back on our next trip.

Last Sunday, I had the pleasure of having brunch at Nova with a group of friends. The food and service were amazing. I especially enjoyed the unique paring of wine with my meal. I ordered the French toast casserole, which I paired with a viognier from Chandler's Plaza Infinity of Dreams collection. I'm not usually a fan of white wines, but I really enjoyed this viognier. The wine is semi-sweet and provided a perfect paring with the strawberry and goat cheese flavors in my French toast casserole. Highly recommend the wine to enjoy any day, but it is perfect for summer brunch.

Once again, a wonderful place for brunch or late night dining. The service is always friendly and sensitive to the needs of its patrons. I absolutely love this place for drinks & snacking! The ambiance is very modern diner style type of feeling but can get crowded VERY quickly. The Mac & Cheese was delicious but I could have definitely gone without the hot sauce they put on it. It tasted very out of place. It was also very soupy like compared to most Mac & cheeses I know. But was very tasty! The frog legs, TRY THE FROG LEGS!! They are my favorite thing out of their whole menu. A tasty tasty experience. Everything I think of this place, my mind automatically goes to their frog legs. If this was a main dish I would get it every time! The seared duck wasn't too impressive. I felt like the plate was more of a Brussels sprouts & bacon dish because there was so much of it. The duck was tasty just wish there was more of it, especially for the price.

Very friendly. Showed us pictures of the specials on his phone! Love that! Menu Get the specials-so good!! We had the calamari-served with a side salad. Not the typical rings-tender and juicy. The salad dressing was light and tasty. A fellow customer had the grilled asparagus topped with sweet potatoes and large piece of meat. The Brussel sprouts were cooked with blue cheese and cranberries-tender, not mushy, generous blue cheese. We had the chocolate dessert that disappeared so fast! Creamy, light, and chocolaty! Perfect! Summary Local upscale dinner spot with great prices! Wide selections-awesome specials! The service is outstanding. Can't wait to return and explore more of the menu!

I've been to nova many, many times over the last several years. The food is amazing, literally anything on the menu. The service is good. Sometimes they have live music and they have a covered/heated area that's nice to sit at if you want to chat, it's usually a little quieter in there. The best part are their novamosas! My absolute favorite cocktail of all time!

We recently came here for a Sunday brunch ... and wow did the food deliver. I got a side of biscuits and gravy and a side of mac and cheese (because why choose 1 when your hangover says both). The flavor and texture of the biscuits and gravy was spot on. Possibly the best I have ever had at a restaurant. Our server was attentive and very nice and the ambiance was great. They have a guy playing the guitar and singing cover songs. The music was at a decent level but it was not difficult to hold a conversation over it. 5/5 would recommend and I plan on coming back soon for dinner.

First time here but have heard good reviews. Drink menu is pretty good. Different liquor used in old time drinks. My husband had a Mescal old fashioned and loved it. We split a pear and arugula salad. It was delicious. Lots of berries that were freeze dried. The pears were roasted. Fresh goat cheese crumbled. Just a really god salad. I ordered the roasted duck over carmelized brusselsprouts. Delicious! My husband had the chicken fried pork loin. He loved it. We had to have dessert, everything else was so good and the chocolate bomb cake was just incredible. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and intend to go back as soon as we can.

Everything on their menu is alszi. Absolutely love Nova, everything on there menu is delicious. Especially the balsamic pizza is the best. There's a gentleman with a bald head that always serves us. It don't matter the time or day he gone get you right. He let you know the special dishes that they have for that evening/night. And keep our drinks full.

Nice clean establishment with kid staff. Great place for brunch with friends. Their fries were nicely seasoned and just delicious. We had the expresso martinis that had a nice kick to it! The food was good from their classic brunch to their pizza. The mimosa was also delicious.

This is one of the best places in Dallas to go for food, atmosphere, drinks, and so much more. The owner JD makes everyone feel at home and makes a point to know his customers. I hadn't been there in months and he knew exactly who I was and welcomed me in with incredible warmth. This love for his business & life goes straight into his cooking. Hands down the BEST fish and chips I have ever had in Dallas. The menu is delicious no matter what you order and he makes his sauce from scratch. The owner takes pride in the quality of his food and the flavor. Highly recommended for the atmosphere, the food, the drinks, to socialize, family time, or even date night. Epic food & phenomenal service.

Everything I have had has been amazing from the drinks to the dessert. Love the ambiance and people. One of mine and my husbands favorite date night locations.

I've been to Nova several times in the last 10 years, but I went very recently, and was pleasantly surprised to try some other menu items that I haven't tried before. I sat outside with my friend, and we shared a plate of hummus with pita bread and a smoked salmon salad. I really enjoyed the fresh hummus plate, and it was a generous portion with lots of fresh cut vegetables. I've had the pho here as well, and I remember it being good. The ambience and service is consistently great. This is a neighborhood, favorite and a staple to Oak Cliff.

Can't say enough about this place. Growing up, my favorite kind of restaurant were diners. This place takes the simplicity and nostalgia of an old school diner and pairs it up with delicious upscale food at a great price. I've been here three times, now and have had the best experience each time. The servers are attentive and friendly. My drink is never empty. The bar makes an awesome dirty martini! And the best part is they're open late. Their appetizers are excellent. I've had the hummus, smoked salmon potato skins, and the watermelon burrata salad and it's all delicious. For entrees I've had the chicken fried pork loin, the beef Wellington, a pizza, and the latest (pictured below) was the Scottish salmon special. It was one of the best salmon dishes I've ever had. And lastly, I've never had a bad dessert here, between the crème brûlée and the peach crumble. Make sure you save room for dessert. I can't say enough good things about this place. Make sure you give it a try!

If you haven't tried this place, make plans right now to go for drinks and dinner. Small but valuable wine list, unique and affordable house cocktails and friendly service. First time here and I feel like a local. Unassuming and fun vibe, but the star is the food. Do yourself a favor and have the Moroccan Chicken. Balanced with a lot of flavor. So good. This is my new go to in Dallas.

The atmosphere here is good! The Moroccan Chicken was good. It's definitely overpriced....but good. I've never in my life spent $32 for a small half chicken! I thought that maybe there would be something amazing about it that made them price it that way ...but not really. I give 4 stars because of the atmosphere and staff. Everyone was very courteous and attentive. In short, the service made up for some of the chicken price lol...

Drinks are amazing, hummus with salad and pita is delicious, and their pizzas are top notch.

Go order the Pork Belly Pad Thai while it is on the menu. It's incredible. They have staples that are also great... the burger, the pizzas, the Wednesday meat loaf, the greatest macaroni and cheese on the planet (trust me). The bartenders also make perfect cocktails - which explains the number of regulars who are in this place every evening/night. Big fan. Will return.

I'm not sure what the craze is about this place. The service is slow, the menu isn't anything ground breaking, the food is good to okay, and the price is a bit high. Just my thoughts though. I had the classic breakfast and my husband had the étouffée. Both were alright, classic breakfast is hard to screw up and the étouffée was a pretty small portion.

Sometimes the place is great, a real happening spot. Other times I can feel like I'm bothering the waitstaff by showing up. The drinks are always a healthy pour so that's good. A lot of staff turnover so that could explain the uneven service. It's mid century modern in keeping with the area so if that's your thing, you'll like it.

I ordered the pork pad Thai and had a transcendent experience. It was the best pad Thai I have ever tasted. Truly, I would recommend this dish and establishment to any person near the Dallas area!

This is one of our favorite dinner places in Oakcliff!! They have the best crew to make you feel welcome and know how to wait on customers the right way!! Food is great, diverse and they always put out some amazing specials.

This is one of the best restaurants in Dallas. It has absolutely great service. Staff was attentive, and professional. The food is worth every dime and then some. I enjoyed myself immensely at this restaurant. You know, I started to go back tonight.

Man what a great place. As some people have stated parking is not the easiest to find but there are places to be found. The vibe is awesome. The staff is attentive and friendly. The food is outstanding. We had the chicken fried pork loin, brussel sprouts and the white pizza. Everything was amazing. The pork loin with the spicy sausage gravy was out of this world though. I highly recommend getting that.

Best kept secret in Oak Cliff right here! Everything I've ordered here is always top notch. Our personal favorite is the BLT. The house made sauce that goes on it sends it over the ledge. Everyone that has ever helped us is always so pleasant and nice and the music is always great too. Highly recommend!

Nova is the cutest upscale diner ever! My husband and I just bought a house within 2-3 blocks walking distance and this is hands down going to be our new favorite spot. Close proximity to home aside the food and drinks are fantastic. I am not usually one to rave about a salad but the Nova House Salad is the perfect blend of crunch, sweet, salty, tart. The dressing is so good I want to lick the plate when I am done. Alas, I am well over the age of 2 so I refrain. All the pizza's we have tried are excellent and the drinks are well crafted and strong without being too much. I will say the service here is great. They are always very quick to provide water for the table which is very welcome given the walk in the summer heat and the attentiveness remains throughout the entire service. Couldn't think of a single bad thing to say except it's a shame I can't go everyday.

Absolutely wonderful food! Hard to categorize because of the variety. Service is good no complaints-servers are usually very kind and amenable. Ambiance is nice as it's small but nicely appointed

I had found this place online by chance and the menu I saw made me want to come try it out. Well, when I came in, I stood there awkwardly for a while until someone came to seat me. I was waiting on a friend who was running behind and I was so hungry so I ordered some crispy brussel sprouts in the meantime. they were crispy, well seasoned and had blue cheese on them. I love Blue Cheese and I love the sprouts... but I really don't know that they went so well together. Not a fan of that aspect. Their menu was definitely not what I had seen online nor did they really have anything I'd wanted to try. I couldn't determine what the theme of the restaurant was... it was kind of all over the place. I even asked the server what the theme was. His response: "there is no theme, it's unique... this is the only place you can get Thai food and pizza." I mean... OK... sure. Ended up getting the pulled duck pizza and subbed the BBQ sauce it normally comes with for pesto sauce (a much better option I think). The pesto was not as fragrant as I am used to which was not entirely bad as it did not overshadow the other elements on the pizza. It wasn't entirely good either as the other elements on the pizza were equally underwhelming. I was so utterly disappointed by my experience at Nova, especially after I'd been looking forward to it for months and for having to pay that much for a mediocre (at best) meal. Meh...

I went for dinner with my friend and the experience was shocking. The waitress coughed in her hands numerous times and various tables. She rubbed her hands through her hair multiple times and rubbed her rear end... NEVER ONCE WASHING HER HANDS. She reset tables and services drinks and food with unsanitary hands. She then put her hands inside the fruit station on the bar to put coffee beans in my espresso martini and never once did she wash her hands. I didn't drink it. She then brought straws with her hands all over them. The food came out and it was cold. By that time I was grossed out completely. I paid for my food because I didn't want any confrontation but this was a disgusting experience. It only takes 30 seconds to wash your hands. She should have been conscious of her spread of germs. Horrible horrible experience. A waste of $40. Please ensure you monitor the cleanliness of this restaurant because it's a breeding ground for germs.

Great spot usually for late night but the service during Brunch on Mother's Day was awful.... Didn't take our drink order. 10 minutes to take our order, 20 minutes to get our food. Very, very hard to get in and out of the place.Only for late night I think..

Food is good in theory-not what's served. Frog legs were gross. Not because they were frog legs. Buffalo sauce or whatever was oily, flavorless and not Buffalo. Fried tomatoes were good but not the béchamel or shrimp that topped it. Shrimp were frozen popcorn shrimp. Prolly what contributed to the tasteless béchamel. They drowned the tomatoes in the sauce- it didn't help. The meal for this visit was heartless, non transcendent, and lacked the flavors that read on the menu. Or, didn't meet expectations. Drinks are good. I stand by that. I've been here a few times at 11/midnight.

My favorite gastropub with amazing cocktails. When I need a good place to have dinner and know everyone will have something they will like this is my go to place. The chicken fried pork loin is amazing.

This was absolutely my very very first time going to Oak Cliff (Dallas)Texas and I was so glad that we were in the area I was able to Google at that time of night we went at like 9 PM well 10 PM central standard time and we couldn't find anything healthy that was left open for us to eat but lo and behold NOVA popped up on our Google search for food and we went! This was the first time in years that all four of my sisters got together and Two flew out here to Texas so that we can enjoy time together so this is the first restaurant they actually said they loved that they've ate at here in Texas!! thus far! I will be back a million times over! First off we were greeted and seated by Shawn! (Awesome personality and you can tell he was smiling through his mask! Lol) Everything was cooked and prepared along a reasonable time and was DE FRAKING DELICIOUS! Like I love a good salad for a late dinner light and not heavy on the digestive ! My cocktail was superb My sisters were the ones who ordered the burgers and the pizza so I don't know exactly what the burger and pieces were called but I know that they just kept talking about it over and over and my sister kept talking about warming up and eating that pizza for breakfast! Lol Also Josway ? Or Jose PLEASE EXCEPT MY APOLOGIES !! for the miss spelling! but he was nice as well and packaged my sibilants to go's up and did a video with me for my IG!! Lol His name sounds like a expensive cologne ! The noise was normal that was cool because I was loud. I was so excited! Also I cannot forget this is my very very very very very first time ever trying crème brûlée and I chose the vanilla crème brûlée and shared it with my sisters it was so darn good like I'm still thinking about it and while I'm talking about it my mouth is getting droolish If you haven't been or if you just moved here! Or lived here and never heard of NOVA! Go! ORDER! Sit Down! Go! Go! Go! You will not be disappointed

We were staying in Bishop Arts district and had not made dinner plans. Our friend said it was good, so off we went (no reservation). We split the Orecchiette with 3 mushrooms and cream sauce, and the pesto pizza. The pasta was my preference. The pizza was more garlic-y than pesto-y, and just meh. Service was good, if a bit brusk. There is a parking lot.

The worst to go bagging service EVER. The server "Andres" was asked to kindly bag the BLT and fries. There was fries for three servings. When we go home there was 2 French fries in the container. Really disappointing considering we spent over $90 on 2 meals at this place. Never going back there again. All he had to do was empty to plates unto the to go container. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. I have a lot of family in oak Cliff and won't be coming back to this place. AVOIDABLE. It took server 7mins to arrive at table. Over half the tables were empty.

OMG Sean and CiCi are everything! The Besy Sunday Brunch in the DFW Metroplex. Amazing ambience inviting and warm. Now Cici is the best Manager she takes care of the from of the house. Sean is the best GM. Nownthe food OMG the brother in the kitchen the executive chef is divine. the best authentic shrimp and grits with andoiue sausage..its his recipe and his potato au gratin is the best. the eggs Benedict with smoke salmon and spinach and the hummus and brussel sprouts. look everything is made fresh . come and make this your regular. live band is amazing and sean played with the band!

Recommended to us by a local bartender in the area and we had dinner at the bar. The customer service was outstanding they even helped us decide what we wanted to order. We started with the frog legs being from South Georgia. I think they're very delicious. JD the bartender talked to us like we have been friends forever I ordered the carbonara for dinner and it was absolutely delicious 10 out of 10 recommend especially when he made sure my wine glass never was empty!!!! Will be back for sure

Looks and feels like an old diner inside. Ordered the only affordable thing on the menu, a pizza, and it was delicious. One pizza is the perfect amount for splitting/sharing with someone else. Not sure I'd go back to order anything else, but would def go back for a pizza.

Nova is by far one of my favorite places in Dallas. Great wine selection, innovative yet classic food, and an amazing staff. So thankful to have them in the neighborhood!
