Came back to my fav restaurant in the area after i saw the roll 7 before 6 which is apart of the happy hour. Unfortunately i didn't roll the 7 but the food was still good. Jimmy was our server and helped choose some great options on the menu so we got a bunch of stuff. The LED screen they have really added to the overall vibe of the Nova which was cool.

I visited this restaurant on October 25th at around 8:15… I really wanted to like NOVA Kitchen & Bar, but my experience was disappointing from start to finish. The moment we walked in, there was a strange, unpleasant smell that made the atmosphere uncomfortable, which was surprising given how nice the décor looked. The service was extremely slow, it took a long time just to get seated, and even longer for someone to take our order. When the food finally arrived, it wasn’t worth the wait. The dishes were bland, poorly seasoned, and definitely overpriced for the quality and portion size. It felt like the focus was more on presentation than taste or value. The servers seemed overwhelmed and inattentive, rarely checking in or refilling drinks. I also noticed other tables nearby waiting a long time for their food or trying to flag someone down. The atmosphere itself is the only redeeming quality, the lighting and setup are modern and inviting, but unfortunately, the smell, poor service, and disappointing food outweighed that. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant based on my visit.

The food and service was terrific. A great spin on some asian favorites. Nice variety of cocktails and service was top notch. If you're in the Disneyland area, a really chic restaurant to visit. Highly recommended

Yummy food in very small portions with high prices. They present it as tapas style which meant the servers were running around delivering food constantly yet auctioning off the food at the table. They did not keep our waters full or clear the plates from the table until I stacked them on the corner. We left hungry and having spent a lot of money.

I have very mixed feelings about this restaurant. I went here for the first time this weekend after wanting to try Nova for a very long time. I will start by saying the atmosphere is nice overall. Would make a great date night or if you're trying to have a girl's night. Lots of opportunities for photos and whatnot. There is a private room apparently that you can sit in behind a bookshelf wall, which is pretty cool. The table I was sitting at was a disappointment mainly because at Sunset my husband and I were blasted in the face by the sunlight and the restaurant has no blinds or curtains or any way of shielding the Sun from blinding you. It is extremely annoying and they need to figure out a solution to this. I don't enjoy paying this type of money for food and having to hold up a menu for almost 30 minutes to cover the Sun from blinding me. Alcohol was good. No complaints there. Food: This is where things go downhill for my entire party. There was 10 of us and I can honestly say only one dish was flavorful. All the other dishes severely lacked seasoning and flavoring. It was so odd because the dishes were beautiful and they looked delicious but the look was deceiving because each one of us at the table ate our dish wondering why it tasted like the chef did not season any of the dishes whatsoever. Everything was EXTREMELY bland.. I've never dined somewhere and had every dish at the table come out Bland. It was so weird. I am willing to try this place again hoping that it was an off night but overall I was extremely dissatisfied because of how much money we spent on our meal and how all of us at this table left extremely disappointed. I did NOT feel like it got my money's worth.

Came here with a larger group of colleagues. The food was good but for a price. Now to the reason for the bad rating: waiters were really hard to catch (to order drinks and food) throughout the evening. Also, we had to wait really long for the food, several dishes arrived at least 30min apart (main course) and some were forgotten. The restaurant was completely full so this might have been the reason for it. If you want to go I'd advise to share several starters, they were great.

This place is definitely overrated because it looks nice. I’ve had plenty of Japanese food and the sushi and everything was bland and not prepared well. It’s presented well but it’s just not the greatest. The pork bao bun was probably the worst we ever had. I had them customize the bao to be vegetarian with mushrooms and it was healthy and nice but was lacking sauce for sure. The pork bao was dry also. The vegetable roll was good but you can’t really screw that up. My son got a mocktail and it was just filled with ice and horrible, not worth it.

I went here with an open mind. I wasn’t sure what to expect honestly.. I am pretty picky when it comes to Asian fusion food. I also was aware of the dislikes on some of the reviews. I’m happy to say that I was pleasantly surprised . Our server Colin went above and beyond. He shared his favorite menu items and was attentive. The food came out quick (they have 4 kitchens in the back!) and hot. They even replaced a drink when my cousin knocked hers over. I can’t wait to come back and try their all you can eat brunch! There’s honestly nothing else like Nova in the OC or LA.. The space was modern and upscale. It was spacious. The only downside I would say is that we had a small table so there wasn’t a lot of room for the dishes (we shared them family style)… but they think of everything and brought out a side table for the extra dishes! It was also a very affordable dinner. We left satisfied and full. My favorite dishes were the mushroom toast, chili wontons, and Brussels sprouts (warning these had a spicy kick to them!). If I had one complaint it would be that the steak was a little overdone to my liking. Their drink menu was fun! I enjoyed the sunrise in Kyoto. This restaurant is attached to the Hyatt and shared a parking lot (but there’s validation so it’s free)
