"Wine tours with friends can quickly go south. Before you know it, a nice afternoon turns into a dramatic saga with name-calling and fake tears. If you need a brief timeout from anyone whose attitude is currently being sponsored by Sauvignon Blanc, Novelty Hill is a fantastic place to spread out and split up. Unlike other tasting rooms where you’re forced to share wine-scented oxygen with everyone you came with, this one has a large courtyard patio with a variety of different seating arrangements to choose from. Sit on a couch far away from other people, take a breather, and continue to slurp crisp watermelon-pink rosé. There are a bunch of snacks available to have with your tasting, too—like tasty pizzas and fried chicken sliders." - aimee rizzo

"Sliders would like to remind you that they’re sandwiches too. We didn’t think we’d find some of the area’s finest at a Woodinville winery, but here we are. The tenderly dredged babies at Novelty Hill-Januik are damn delightful, with impeccable juiciness, a lemon-forward mayo, sharp pickled red cabbage, and itty bitty brioche rolls. A plate of three pairs really well with their zesty GSM rosé. " - aimee rizzo, gabe guarente

We stopped in for some wine tasting and charcuterie. The setting is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. We had wine flights and charcuterie and everything was fantastic. We ended up buying a membership so we will be returning soon.

The food at Novelty Hill is amazing and creative! It is always incredibly hard to choose what to order, because there are just too many yummy dishes! Their wines offers perfect combinations! 🤤 Oh, almost forgot to mention the stunning building and beautiful outdoor space for wedding etc!

Disclaimer : I don’t consider myself a wine-o. I did however, thoroughly enjoy this tasting experience. Our waitress (Gabby) was a machine full of knowledge and experience. I recommend the reserve (25$) over the alternative flight. We ended up ordering a charcuterie board and a pizza (it was so greasy but tasty). I also opted to buy a couple bottles to cover the cost of the tasting (spend $50 and it’s waived 🤘🏽). Also, curb side appeal is very deceiving for this spot. The patio and inside are very nice.

Beautiful place outside and inside, there is food with the wine tasting . Wine and food were good . Nice atmosphere, suitable for an event or just for nice afternoon. We surely will come back .

Alway a fun time. Top shelf wines. Generous tastings. Weekend handmade pizzas. It was a nice outing for an afternoon. Really great service. Mike Januik introduced himself and talked with my group for 15 minutes, awesome customer service. The Paella night with wine pairing was great, with richly spiced paella and a Basque cheesecake desert. Outstanding!

Sit outside in the garden if you can and enjoy their nice selection of wine and food. A great experience in Woodinville 🍷🥂

The Novelty Hill and Januik Winery release events are the best. The food is 4 star every time and a lot is locally farm produced. The winery has plenty of space to accommodate large groups so there are opportunities to meet new folks. The staff is top notch and makes every effort to welcome you and make sure you have what you want. They keep the serving plates filled for the members so you can always get what you want. Live music is a bonus!

Decent Wine, Poor Wine Tasting Experience We love wine tasting experiences, and take the opportunity to enjoy these when we travel. We've collected many wonderful memories around in the US and the world (California, Oregon, Washington, Italy, France, Spain, South Africa, etc.) As a result, we have a basic expectation about wine tasting experiences - i.e., we expect that the host will provide at least some basic information about the winery and the wines. Not so at this disappointing experience. The host dropped off the wines, and then was off. The only info we had was the basic info printed on the list of wines. So overall a huge miss on the experiential aspect of what a good tasting experience provides. Will not recommend, or repeat. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Donald - I appreciate your taking the time to respond, but I respectfully must clarify the situation as you may not have received accurate (or all) of the information surrounding our tasting. Upon arrival, we did ask if there was availability outside, and were told that there wasn't space due to how busy they were. That was completely fine, as we had not explicitly requested an outdoor seating. As a result, our initial wine tasting "experience" was indoors in the tasting room where we had booked our reservation. As I stated previously, this wasn't the normal level of service I would expect at a tasting. The two tasting flights were dropped off at our table with information cards by the server without ANY additional information or explanations. (As a point of reference to readers, I've been in other Woodinville Tasting rooms during a holiday weekend. Even then the staff took time to explain the basics of the wines we were tasting. So this isn't typical for Woodinville which has many great winery tasting opportunities.) When we were tasting our third or fourth wine (we were sharing two tastings), the server did inform us that there was a table outside that we could use for the next 45 minutes. It was a beautiful day, so we did decide to move. And we did greatly appreciate the offer to move outside. If weekday staffing is truly the issue, then I might suggest not promoting this space or offering outdoor tastings for bookings on your website, as this is what it states under the "Outdoor Wine Tasting" heading which has a direct link for booking. "Our outdoor patios and gardens offer a serene Woodinville wine tasting experience, surrounded by a native Northwest landscape. A variety of tasting flights are offered to suit all preferences."

Yelp
Sunday wine tasting for eight? Count me in! Novelty Hill Januik Winery was our first stop of the day. My friends had visited before and had great things to say about the food and wine. Food? Delicious. Wine? Incredible. Service? Outstanding. We had a couple bottles of rose, tried almost all of the food items, and did a classic wine tasting. For food, the truffle fries and burrata salad are must-tries.

Paul C.

Yelp
Did not like the fact that in order to have a group over 6 you had to spend $400 minimum to reserve a table. We probably would have spent it but I don't like being forced to spend a minimum amount of $400 not including tips or tax.

Joy H.

Yelp
Came here for a little corporate event and all the wines were so good!! We got a tour of the facility as well and you can tell they take a lot of pride in what they do. We sampled their sliders, spicy shrimp skewers, polenta tots (pass), charcuterie platter, and bruschetta which all were high quality and tasty! Definitely a cute winery with even better wine to go with it!

Shantala A.

Yelp
A beautiful sunny afternoon called for some patio wine tasting while the fam could also feast on delicious wood fired pizzas, fries and cheese boards. The outdoor seating is huge and there's heaters in one section for the chilly days and the indoor space is very casual and huge again, for the grey days. We had a reservation and were promptly seated in a quiet corner of their patio and were treated to a complimentary rose tasting pour. That was refreshing and quite nice! We then went on to do the reserve tasting. We got to try 4 reds for $30 and ordered margherita pizza, fries, fried burrata and a delicious cheese board. We really liked the 2021 Stone Cairn and got a bottle of that. So good! Service was spot on! Overall, it was a very relaxing lunch! Highly recommend!

Alex K.

Yelp
Beautiful modern setting and big tasting room. $25 for classic wine tasting and &35 for reserved 4 pours. Food menu is very good too.

Yelp
This winery has been a favorite of mine for years and I finally joined the wine club. They have an impressive variety of wines -- and at great price points, too, which really makes them stand out in the Woodinville wine scene. I'm a fan of their GSM-blend wines and the son, Andrew Januik's new line of wines, but you can't go wrong here. Go on weekends for their delicious pizzas, too. The outdoor area is beautiful and dog friendly. The staff are really kind and attentive. I can't say enough things about how much I enjoy this spot. The wine club has some of the best perks around, too, so it's worth checking out.

Patricia A.

Yelp
I arrived without a reservation on a gloomy summer Wednesday afternoon. The staff were friendly and happy to accommodate me for a tasting. I sat on a cozy couch next to a fireplace. The building and furnishing are somewhat industrial, but they manage to not feel cold. I love the red mountain reds, and I have found them to age well. As a member, tasting is complimentary, and the tasting staff let me know what they had open to taste. I enjoyed a small bowl of seasoned and marinated olives to nibble on during my tasting. I felt as though I had my own little space. The staff were attentive as needed but allowed me to enjoy my wine. I highly recommend this be added to your woodinville tasting route!

Neetu L.

Yelp
Been here a few times for different occasions. Getting a reservation is relatively easy and the service has always been welcoming. Highly recommend their Rose! They also have small bites that are perfect for wine tasting.

Mindy P.

Yelp
Oof. I've been wanting to come here for so long; have been hearing about Januik Syrahs. It's a beautiful, industrial, modern building. Very few tables inside. We had reservations. It was sprinkling so we asked for inside, when we saw they were walking us outside. Nope. No room. They sat us outside, under cover, with heaters. And dogs. And screaming children. This is where you seat people with children and dogs. We were told about the wine club before we had been introduced to the wine. We chose the reserve tasting, which was $30, refundable if you purchased 2 bottles. Our server brought the samples without any explanation of what we were trying. (Why would we join the wine club?) the wines were fine. Donny, however, stood out. He brought fantastic homemade ice cream and a taste of Syrah. He was friendly and shared some history. That was it. No other personal moment or interest in wine. I don't recommend this winery.

Charles C.

Yelp
Beautiful ambience and outdoor tasting area. Charcuterie board was great and for the price the wine was a nice sampling, but the attendees knew nothing about the wine or grapes. A nice bonus got a bonus complementary Chardonnay and Grenache tasting!

Kathie s.

Yelp
On a sunny Friday, we decided to spend the afternoon at Januik! My oh my it did not disappoint! This place had all the great things from great wine, fast and friendly customer service and good food. They have both indoor and outdoor seating depending on what you like best. I do recommend getting a reservation on their website as it can be very popular on nice days. We will be back again to enjoy some good wine!

Marcus S.

Yelp
First time in the Woodinville wine area. Some friends have a membership to Novelty Hill Januik and decided to share than invite us out. The look of the winery is very spacious and looks like a large party hall which is kind of cool, different from the sort of typical woody look of a lot of other wineries or wine rooms. Starte off with a cheese croquette plate, I don't remember it's exact name, but it was really good both in taste and presentation. I don't know if it's a rotating menu here as far as food, but if it's still there, I recommend this. For the flight I went with the mixed - Januik Sauv Blanc, Novelty Hill chard, Januik Merlot and Novelty hill Cab Sauv. All were good and though my favorits are usually Merlot's, The sauv's were pretty good here. The service was very good. Our hostess and server were both very friendly and talkative during out visit. I see there is an outdoor space here, wouldn't mind coming back during warmer months and enjoying a couple glasses at that time.

Stephanie H.

Yelp
Our family visited Novelty Hill Januik on the Saturday morning following Thanksgiving. We were a group of 7 and had put in 2 separate reservations due to not having called ahead of time to reserve seating for our larger party. We anticipated sitting separately given the reservations, but the hostess who checked us in graciously accommodated us at a larger table outside under their heated seating. After someone in our party spoke with a staff member inside, they were then able to accommodate us inside even though they were not obligated to. We were grateful, given how chilly it was outside despite the outdoor heaters. To start, we were each brought a complimentary white wine to taste. Our table shared 3 pizzas and the truffle fries and ordered 3 tasting flights. Wine in general doesn't agree with me, so my review will be focused on the food, which we all were super impressed with. The website doesn't have their food offerings posted, so we expected just charcuterie and small snacks, but were pleased to find the pizzas along with a variety of shareables on the menu including wings, salads, etc. The truffle fries were AMAZING - came out piping hot, each fry was perfectly crispy without an ounce of sogginess, and you could appreciate the taste of truffle. I'm afraid I can't remember the names of each of the pizzas we had - one was a pear/gorgonzola with gluten-free crust, one with sausage/pepperoni/roasted peppers/olives, and one with pepperoni/a chile pepper of some sort/honey drizzle. The crusts on these pizzas were so airy yet crispy and had that nice wood-fired taste, with the latter pizza being my favorite (that honey drizzle with the saltiness from the pepperoni was soooo goood) though I really loved them all. My husband and I also love Serious Pie, and when I asked him to choose this pizza or Serious Pie, he said he preferred this one, so there you have it! I love that I can just come back here for the yummy food and look forward to returning!

Yelp
We had a wonderful time celebrating a friends birthday here a few months ago! We had a nice little outdoor area with some heating lamps and ordered a ton of food + wine. We ordered a large variety of small bites and loved everything, especially the pizzas and fries! We also had wine samplers and they were generous with the pours, which was great as everything was delicious! It did take a decent amount of time for our food to come out and for our attendant to come check in on us once in a while but overall we had a blast!

Maryn P.

Yelp
I did a tasting at Novelty Hill Januik yesterday and it was delightful. The wine was great and the atmosphere was even better. I am not a huge red wine fan and they let me to order a tasting flight of only white wines even though it wasn't listed on the menu. They also gave us a free tasting when we sat down and after we finished our flight so we got 6 tastings total. We also ordered a charcuterie board and it was great. They did not skimp on the different meats and cheeses. I will frequent Novelty Hill from now on!

Molly I.

Yelp
Had a pretty good time at a tasting here several weeks ago, but there were some problems... Here's the takeaway - the wines were actually very good. The food was delicious. The service was.... Lacking. First off: we knew we were getting two different tastings but that we'd share. There's was no guidance (when asked) on what order to do the testing in or if there was a good way to flip between them. (You'd think there would be, doing the whites first, followed by the reds...) There was also a dirty bussing tray next to our table WHEN WE WERE SEATED and it stayed there the whole time. Definitely impacted the overall feel of the tasting...

Jim B.

Yelp
We have loved Januik wines for a long time. (over 25 years). They are always excellent. Lunch was great sitting outside on a great day. Excellent knowledgeable, wait staff. We live in Arizona now but every time we come back to Seattle, we make a trip to Januik.

Ru S.

Yelp
With anything more than 5 people they will tell you how much you have to spend. It's a huge venue. And they wanted to put us in a pavilion.... when we could easily sit at two tables.. unfortunately I will give my money to another winery.

Courtney L.

Yelp
I'm nowhere near a wine connoisseur, but I had a wonderful experience at Januik with three friends on one sunny weekend in the wine country of Woodinville. With the current state of the world, I'm pretty cautious about where I go to dine in. Januik offered a safe and comfortable environment as most of their tables were set up on their large outdoor patio. Each one had an umbrella to shade you from the sun and there are heaters available on colder days. Most of the staff wore masks as well, even when running in and out of the building. The four of us shared two of the Wine & Potato Chip pairings ($30 each), their Classic flight ($20), a Spring Onion & Burrata Pizza ($18), Salmon Lox pizza ($19) and Truffle Parmesan Fries ($15). Can you tell we were hungry? On top of all this, our server brought each of us a complimentary pour of their rosé which was an unexpected surprise. Among various whites and reds, it was fun to sample all the wines. My senses of smell and taste were put to the test as I tried to compare the scents and flavors to what the menu stated. Cherry, cooked fruit and leather were just some of the notes we should have detected. Of our food items, I loved the truffle fries! A large portion of meaty and crisp fries came with a delicious garlic aioli and ketchup for dipping. I couldn't stop eating these. The Spring Onion & Burrata pizza also included shreds of asparagus and plump tomatoes. It was a tasty and fresh combination. The Salmon Lox pizza was just okay. There were just a few pieces of smoked salmon on top, and I thought the flavors of the red onion and capers were a little overwhelming. All the servers were courteous and I appreciated how they took the time to describe the wine flights when delivering them. Pricing is a little steep for both food and wine flights, especially since each pour of wine is just a few sips worth. Our total was $160 for all four of us. However, it's all about the experience! Whether you are a wine expert or novice like me, this is a terrific venue to spend some time outdoors in the Seattle sun and catch up with friends. Other notes: * Reservations are required for a wine tasting. Each reservation is for 1.5 hours, but they didn't strictly hold us to that timeslot. (It might have been because there were several tables open at any given time, or maybe because we kept ordering food, haha.) * The parking lot is fairly large, but it fills up quickly if there's an event. There is an overflow parking lot within walking distance if needed.

Yelp
I made reservation for two on a Friday (indoors) at 11:30am. It was not too crowded at the time. I love this wine tasting room!! There are 3 flights to choose from: white, classic, and reserve. We picked the classic - 1 white wine and 3 red wines. The classic is $20 per person, but for every $35+ bottle of wine you spend, one tasting fee gets waived. The red wines were soooo good!! I ended up purchasing a 2017 Malbec & 2018 Cabernet bottle from the classic set. I originally choose to come here because I wanted a winery that served pizza. The food here did NOT disappoint!! We ordered a brick oven pizza, truffle Parmesan frites, and a charcuterie board to pair with the wines. Highly recommend ordering a pizza to try!!! It was such a friendly vibe!! Wonderful staff, delicious food, and great wine to taste! Recommend for wine lovers!

Ankit M.

Yelp
Nice heated pet friendly patio with decent food options. Tempura mushrooms were a bit stale and cold but the pizza and wine was good. Great place to host a summer/fall evening party

Athene D.

Yelp
We came on wine Wednesday for a less crowded vibe. I saw this place on a friends IG and it did NOT disappoint!!! This was a super fun tasting unlike any other winery! I would love to come back to do a food and glass pairing for sure. I was also blessed to have met the owner Januik. Very sweet man who shared further stories on the wine and his sons and their involvement. It's always great to hear those stories. My favorite has to be the honey Dijon chips with the Los Molinos! Everyone else LOVED the Riesling with the jalapeño chips. We made jalapeño poppers that night to pair with the Riesling which was so great! It's not overly sweet so it's very good with food. The Sangiovese felt like a Pinot Noir. Very light, delicate, smooth on the pallet. A dryer wine that should be paired with food. It would pair well with a fish and light cream sauce or say Parmesan crusted chicken. Even great for thanksgiving turkey which has that light buttery skin. I'm very happy to have stumbled upon the spot! Yes, every one was wearing masks and everyone's COVID vaccinated cards checked upon arrival. We ensured this photo with no masks had proper distances from all other patrons and workers.

Yelp
This was our 4th visit and will not be our last! :) FOOD: On property kitchen that makes their own food. It is a limited menu but what they provide is really good. During this visit, we had the "Spring Onion & Burrata" brick oven pizza and it was amazing! The size was roughly 12" so its a good pizza for 1-2 person. There was a good char on the crust and there was an evenly spread of topping so each bit had a little bit of everything. BEVERAGE: Most winery/tasting room will have 1-2 different tasting options but Novelty Hill-Januik has usually around 3-4 different options. Also like most winery/tasting room, if you purchase a bottle ($35+) they will waive ONE tasting for free. LOCATION: In Woodinville, this is one of the few handful of tasting room that quite large. They have sizeable interior, private reserve able event space, and extremely room exterior. They are pet and family friendly which is a huge plus for us! STAFF: Great team of people working at this tasting room! Its family own and run with extended staff that are friendly and always willing to help out. On Sat, Mar 21 it was a great sunny day so on a spur of the moment, we decided to stop by and sadly we did not have reservations. The hostess to so kind and was able to fit us with one of the smaller tables inside. Due to the pandemic, they like all the other tasting room have moved to a reservation only. Make sure to book your reservation time!!

Susan W.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday PM to do a wine tasting with friends. We ordered plenty of food, plus reserve wine tasting for each person. Alas, the wines were all red wines, and not particularly remarkable. Preferences can be subjective, but certainly one aspect I wish they did better is to actually introduce the wines a little bit. Instead, the flight of 4 wines were served with a description card, so the server drops it off and steps away. The portions for each wine are significantly less compared to what's served at Chateau St. Michelle. The pricing was not bad, especially considering you could also deduct the tasting fee from the purchase price of any bottles you purchase, but the experience left much to be desired.

Julie D.

Yelp
Large space with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Reservations required. A couple of tastings to choose from and a limited food menu for snacking while there. We were seated right above a barrel room and got to watch them fill some of the barrels. I preferred the pre Covid ability to choose your wines for the tasting. This is a hugely popular winery. Great outdoor space for the summer. Larger spaces for group events.

Sabrina R.

Yelp
While their website listed a "wine down Wednesday" option, the hostesses mentioned this option became obsolete in 2019. Although we explained that we travelled from Texas and were eager to explore their options, the hostesses were not willing to accommodate. While some tables were reserved, after a quick walk around it was discovered that there were other unoccupied seating options. With so many other options in the area, we will not be back.

Andrew B.

Yelp
This is my wife and I's go-to winery in Woodinville. The wine is amazing, facility is gorgeous and service puts it over the top. We especially love Andrew Januik's wine and can't recommend it enough!

Paige K.

Yelp
I visited over the weekend and had a lovely experience! I wanted to thank Perla and Donny for their exceptional customer service and for helping to make our experience great. Great wine and a lovely outside area to sit in on a sunny day! Will definitely be visiting again soon!

Terri J.

Yelp
Visit today, it has been a while since we've been here. Staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. We did not have a reservation but they were so great fitting us in. Wine is also very good. Highly recommend.

angela l.

Yelp
Beautiful place. Seated outdoors. Weather was 74 degrees stunning red trees in fall. Had to double check if it was real. Food, appetizers and wine choices were fabulous!

Christina G.

Yelp
Reservation only property. Plenty of parking. Building looks like a prison. Inside vibe is lacking in my opinnion. Patio like furniture inside. Next time would love to sit outside and see if the overall feel matches the price point. Pricey overall for limited service. Was a bit dissapointed chips were offered but not a la cart. Front of house staff could have been more welcoming. Thankful to the rest of the staff that was friendly and knowledgeable.

Elizabeth C.

Yelp
I had a wonderful tasting here a few weeks ago with a friend. It was a perfect day out so we sat on the patio. We had one of the red flights, with the charcuterie board. The man who helped us generously gave us some extra pours of some other wines as well. I really wish I remembered his name because he was so friendly, so helpful, and so nice! The wines here are excellent and we left with a couple bottles. I'm slowly learning more about reds and refining my palate and I really enjoyed tasting the reds here. Will definitely come back!

Jason L.

Yelp
Open during the pandemic, you can still get your wine tasting fix here. All of the tables are socially distant, both indoors and outdoors. You must make a reservation as well. I enjoyed the aesthetics of this winery a lot. It looks like a concrete warehouse on the outside but has a sophisticated industrial and modern feel on the inside. The dining room opens up to the huge stainless steel tanks where they ferment the grapes and produce the wine. Pretty cool to see and have it as a backdrop for your wine tasting! They offer two flights of wine, each containing 4 different wines. If you want all red wines, you'll have to go with the reserve option. All of the wines were terrific. You can't go wrong with any of the cabs! We also got food -- the margherita pizza and truffle fries. I was not a fan of the pizza. The crust was burnt and it wasn't worth it to me. The fries were great though. With so many wineries in the area, Novelty Hill is a good one to check out.

Laura W.

Yelp
I've been a member at Novelty Hill Januik for years, and every time I go, it is a wonderful experience. Yesterday, two friends new to the area joined me for a wine tasting and amazing food for lunch. The service was wonderful, the server was kind and thoughtful. The atmosphere is peaceful and a great outdoor space to get to talk without a lot of background noise.

Shaida H.

Yelp
We are wine club members here, and we love being able to have a winery that serves tasty wine and food in Woodinville. Right now (1/22/22) they have outdoor (heaters and umbrella) and indoor seating. It's recommended to make reservations but is no longer required. Today, we tried both the classic and reserve tasting flights and ordered two gluten free pizzas. We didn't order the truffle fries this visit, but would recommend them from past experience. The gluten free crusts are very tasty and have an amazing texture. We sat indoors by the fireplace, which is by the doors to the patio, so it was a bit cold each time the doors opened; therefore, would recommend some warm clothes just in case your table is by the doors.

Schelly Y.

Yelp
Great atmosphere at Novelty Hill Januik! They have a lovely outdoor areas with tons of tables and even had sufficient outdoor space to also host a wedding rehearsal event at the same time. I liked that we could relax and take our time sipping wine and then come in to get our next poor once we were ready. They were quite busy and it would take a bit of time to get some help but overall we had a nice experience.

Jacques I.

Yelp
Novelty Hill Januik Winery has the most beautiful space with solid wines. I can only imagine this place is better in the summer time when we're not in a pandemic, as the space was gorgeous yet inviting, and the wines were enjoyable. My friend and I visited Januik for a wine tasting, and had a pleasant time here. We were easily able to make reservations ahead of time, which I'm glad they allow, which makes planning a lot more easier. The tasting slot is good for 90 minutes. During COVID-19, they have covered, outdoor seating with heat lamps. The tasting included four wines, and the friendly employee also gave us a bonus tasting of a rose. Yasss! The rose was sweet, and is definitely ideal for a summer time wine. The white was a chardonnay and the reds were a merlot, malbec and a cab sauv. Of all the wines we tried, the merlot was quite something. I normally don't choose a merlot as my go-to wine, but this one was special. It had a kind of smoky taste to it that was smooth and really brought out the flavor of the wine. It's definitely worth trying here. Did I mention that this place is beautiful? I mean it. People get married here, and you can clearly see why as soon as you step inside. Of all the wineries and tasting rooms in Woodinville, this is my favorite setting. It has a modern, industrial feel to it, with high ceilings and concrete walls, with an outdoor space that is open and welcoming. Count me in for some summer time patio parties here!

Yelp
I had a great time at Novelty Hill-Januik Winery, located in a modern architectural designed building and tasting room. The indigenous art added a local and visually appealing aspect. All the wines were quite good, but the service was a bit odd. Pleasant and welcoming, they offered little information about the wines, letting the printed material do this for them. I had a ton of questions, was interested in the wine club, but had to call them over to get any details. Again, they were incredibly warm, but not very knowledgable about the wines. Okay, I'll just enjoy the wines and my friends. If I was the business owner, I would be apoplectic. It takes lots of money to run a winery, and a wine club is "cash on the vine." Yet, I'm a twentieth century man and find many aspects of this century bewildering.

Yelp
Our first tasting experience was not exactly something to write home about. Most of the time was spent on securing a spot and lining up to refill our glasses. Venue: The building is reminiscent of a warehouse. Tall ceilings and a large central area. There also a multi-level gravel patio. Service: Service staff seemed a little frazzled and stretched. There was not enough staff members for the amount of people in the tasting room. There were lines forming for tastings and seating was scarce. The bar area, lounge, and outdoor areas were full. It was clear there was not enough tables and seating areas to fully enjoy the experience. Per a staff member, we needed to continually visit the counter to request our next pour. The interesting part was that we didn't get the same person pouring the tasting. Food: We ordered a Margherita and Tater and Truffles pizzas to accompany the tasting. The pizzas were decent and had a nice crispy crust. Serving portion was a little small for the price. Final thoughts: Definitely not like the other tasting rooms in Hollywood district we've been to. The prices were a little steep for what was offered. The tasting room was crowded and securing a seat was the game of the day.

Yelp
I've been to Novelty Hill many times but this was a first experience with their food! The pizzas were delicious!

Yelp
We stopped in here yesterday because our friends were doing a wine pickup. We had two bottles a rose and another one. Both were well executed and we enjoyed them. We got there about 4:15 and sat outside. We hadn't finished our bottles yet but once it got close to 5:00 pm, they repeatedly let us know that they were closing soon. I don't know if they were concerned about the glassware but I didn't really we feel like we were holding them up that much as it appeared they had an event later that night.

Yelp
This was our first stop on a winery tour. We tasted some great wines, especially the Januik wines, in my opinion. We had very friendly service and a beautifully crafted cheese plate. My one complaint is that we weren't told what the cheeses were! A few of them were fairly obvious but a few weren't. I'm a nerd and like to know these things lol. As others have said, the building looks a bit like a prison on the outside. This is not a winery on beautiful grounds, like the nearby "big one" but give the wines a chance; they're delicious!!

Yelp
I realize not everyone can come on a Tuesday, but it really is the best day to visit, especially if you're going to buy wine BECAUSE 10% off bottle purchases & stackable with other discounts (case & Club)!!! Robin was a GREAT steward! She was super friendly, knowledgeable, and generous! She was so good engaging other guests and creating a welcoming space for all of us while fluttering around taking care of everyone. I've been here on weekends before, and although they have food options then, the crowdedness isn't worth it to me. Perhaps if you buy bottles and sit outside with friends, but even then, it's LOUD (and crowded). To each their own. Seeking an absolutely gorgeous wine? Try the Januik 2016 Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon. Not only is this wine stunning & delicious, but you don't need to hold onto it like you do for many of Mike's wines.

With their knowledge they are sure to help you personalize your tasting because when you come in you get to CHOOSE your tastings from usually about 11+ wines any day they are open! And if your planning an event check them out because they ya e a great space!!!

Yelp
This is one of the nicest wine tasting rooms I've been to near the Woodinville area. We were able to make a reservation a week out, and it was allotted for 90 minutes but they did not pressure us to leave even though it was past our time. They have 3 flights you can choose from: white wines, classic flight, and a reserve flight. I would highly recommend the white flight - all of my friends were more impressed with the whites than the reds in the flights. My favorites were the riesling and the roussanne. The food was also really good. I feel like a lot of places that do drinks well don't usually have great food, but I would actually highly recommend the truffle fries and the brie/apple bruschetta. The best part about the tastings are that they waive your fee if you get a $35+ bottle of wine. So I got a great tasting experience and two bottles of the $18 riesling for $36 (before tax). Wonderful. The atmosphere inside and outside are both great.

Yelp
First visit - Service was great, food outstanding and the wine...spectacular! Second visit - different items from menu - Service was great, food outstanding and the wine...spectacular! Same for subsequent visits! I prefer reds and of the wines I have tasted, all are excellent! Particularly a 2018 Champoux Malbec and a 2019 Ciel du Chavel Syrah. Spring Run Rose is particularly good as well. Can't be beat for consistent quality on service, food and wine. My favorite winery!

Yelp
We actually tried to go to a couple of other wineries before we landed at Novelty Hill. It was the 1st time I ever tried wine tasting. My girlfriend gave me some quick info on protocol. We were seated quickly w/o waiting for too long. We both tried the reserve wine tasting. 4 different cabs were provided and a free 5th of their house special. We ordered the board, which came w/assorted cheeses, salami, crackers, sun-dried cranberries, etc. The wines were quite good. The board was excellent. We ended up getting a bottle of one we tasted. Excellent time had and the staff was great!
