Alright, Novo Brazil! Being down in Chula, this is now the most Southern brewery in CA I've been to. & I've been to a bunch. Check out the list, you'll see what I mean:

Anyhow, arriving on an early Monday afternoon, I nearly had the whole the place to myself. Because, really, who's out drinking beer then? I am, every chance I get.
I parked right in front of the roll up door that leads into the brewery & followed the path to the right to the taproom. Brewery & taproom alike are good looking spaces with lots of polished wood.
Since it wasn't too long until I had to get up to SAN & catch a flight out of town, I just did a flight of 4 tasters. The beertender was friendly & patient as I tried to make my picks from over a dozen beers on tap.
Finally figuring it out, I tried 2 hazy IPA's, a grapefruit DIPA, & a Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout. The hoppy stuff was excellent. Like I rated those an average of 4.4 out of 5 on my Untappd, excellent.
But that BA Imperial Stout, their Corvo Negro Barrel Reserve, that was no bueno. The taster I had was off, soured. Too bad. I've had other Novo Brazil beers before at Bottlecraft too & those were all good.
Novo Brazil Brewing, I'm a fan. The brewery/ taproom in Chula Vista is a cool spot & I've enjoyed all the Novo Brazil beers I've tried, except 1. I know hiccups happen. I'll still drink Novo Brazil beers whenever I find them.
