Mürver

"The open fire is the heart of the open kitchen at Mürver. Smoked and grilled ingredients form the basis of the creations in which regional produce and innovative combinations make for a culinary adventure. Butter-soft grilled octopus with caramelised onion and a zingy vinaigrette is a signature dish for good reason. This trendy rooftop restaurant also boasts a fabulous cocktail bar where you can soak up the vibe and let Istanbul reveal all its charms on the sublime terrace." - Michelin Inspector

Was lovely honestly, staff were attentive when first arrived but there were some staff at reception which were horrible to talk to, his name started with a G was usually in the evening. The others were great. The rooms im sorry but my shower had rust all down the sides, there was dust everywhere in my room. Cleanlinesss wise this hotel did not meet any form of hospitality standards when it came to cleanliness, I had my room cleaned once in my 4 nights stay I was so disappointed I didn’t have my room cleaned again. Beautiful breakfast, amazing staff from greeting to helping to the chefs catering to your requests. Breakfasts were the most enjoyable part of our stay. Location was perfect. If you care about cleanliness I would definitely say their rooms are not for you though unless you travel and want to clean your own room.

The overall impression you get from the hotel is that it is a 4* hotel. The aesthetics of the rooms and the common areas are basic and not to my taste. On the positive side the room was spacious. Most of them are facing the inner garden. The ones that look in the back street (like mine) can get a bit noisy at night because of the bars. For me it was ok. The whole impression shifts and starts giving some reasoning to the price when you get to the rooftop restaurant for the breakfast. This was a really beautiful arranged space, with nice views, although often partially blocked by the cruise ships. The food selection was very good, including eggs your way. Unfortunately the coffee wasn't. With due diligence in cleanliness and attendance. The recreation areas was also nice and relaxing. Pool was adequately big. And of course there is the location. Just perfect. Not only because you're in the centre of everything but also because it's situated in a large new port development that has everything you need just steps away.

I was staying here with my family, with my 5yo and my 75yo father in law. I booked 2 rooms.|As Accor Diamond member we got an upgrade to a suite (Bosporus view), the view was not blocked all the time as some commentators suggest, quite the opposite.|Also the free breakfast perk was extended for the whole stay (not only weekend). Breakfast was great and not crowded. Views from the restaurant are amazing as it's on the rooftop of the hotel, and again out of 5 breakfasts we had only 2 time there was a cruise ship.|Service on the breakfast is exceptional. Mehmet will bring our drinks the moment he will see us arrive. He also tended that we have everything.|From colouring books for our son, food especially for kids, eggs every morning how I like it and so on.|The suite was 430 it was big enough, there were two sofa beds although we used only one. The views on the Bosporus were magnificent. Room was well cleaned every day and enough drinking water (in glass bottles) was provided. During weekends it gets loud outside, but if you come to sleep here you're in wrong part of Istanbul.|There was live music in the restaurant on the rooftop but also on the ground floor, very authentic. We can recommend listening to the beautiful women signing on the ground floor and their beautiful voice.|Check-in desk was very helpful too. About tips around Istanbul, exchange office or providing us with the late checkout. Thank you Abraham for the great service.|Both my wife and I did treatments in the spa. We did treatments with Olga from Uzbekistan and we can really recommend. Olga was very professional and all treatments we did, Turkish bath or the massage was so good that we wanted more. Always check with the spa as hotel guests can get discounts.|My son and I were also swimming in the pool, staff was always child friendly and will bring us water bottles.|All in all, very high rating from us. We believe this is a great property ideally located, with the great service that excels way beyond Novotel brand.

The hotel was the best thing in my trip! I didn’t like the room that much, but the staff was friendly, lovely and helpful. Special thank to mr Mehmet from the restaurant he made my coffee and met me with a smile every morning. Thanks to Vural the kindness man, and for every one! Please give the room some attention! Was very smelly.

It was a wonderful experience! The location was amazing—just steps away from all the main attractions and restaurants. The service was excellent, with special thanks to Emir and Anil for making our trip so enjoyable. The rooms were spacious and clean. The only suggestions for improvement would be: • Adding a full-length mirror • Providing better lighting in the bathroom • Upgrading the quality of the pillows • Including essential amenities typically found in five-star hotels, such as cotton buds and a shower cap

Great location almost on the seafront, very close to tram station, ferry station, Galata bridge and Pera. Coming by car is difficult as it is a one lane, one way road, and very congested. Relatively new, contemporary hotel with large lobby and comfortable rooms. Service very friendly and helpful. Food at the Murver restaurant very good with spectacular views of Golden Horn. The bar and restaurant downstairs also have very good food. All restaurants have great service.

This is a great hotel in the best location walking distance from our cruise ship. Breakfast daily was fantastic. Room with view of the Bosphorus. Spa to have a massage. Would highly recommend and stay again.

Enjoyed my stay very much. Conveniently located close to tram and ferry stations, tünel and Galata Bridge. Food was very good at all restaurants, as well as the service. Special recognition to Musa at the bar in Murver, and Emen??? at the bar / restaurant downstairs. The room was comfortable but needed drawers. The safety deposite box wasn’t working but was resolved quite quickly.

Yelp
Moved here from what turned out to be a sketchy hotel originally booked. I know what to expect from Novotel. Basic comfort and cleanliness and helpful staff who can speak English is found here! Great restaurants nearby and nearly on the water. Such a great location. Near public transport lots of food options and shopping. Rooftop bar and dining & breakfast is lovely except if there is a cruise ship blocking the view. The spa downstairs in -1 is amazing! Had an incredible massage from Laura. Did not experience the hammam. Maybe next time. Lovely staff every one of them! So helpful and kind. Mehmet at breakfast made your whole breakfast experience feel welcoming and special. Kubilay at the front desk was helpful I. Retro resolve my Accor account. All the young men there were helpful. Only advice is 5th floor is below rooftop breakfast so Sunday night was endless carts/tables/chairs? rolling around. Fell asleep at 2:28am. I would restart here again!

Yelp
I was meeting people in Istanbul and needed a hotel close to them.  They were staying in the Karakoy district of Istanbul so when I looked for nearby hotels I found the Novotel.  The hotel is located in the back part of an entertainment section in this neighborhood where there are clubs and restaurants.  The back of the hotel faces this area while the front faces the river; there is still a lot of construction and renovations being done around the hotel so there are not a lot of services near the hotel.  The hotel is a 3-minute walk to the main street and from there you can access the tram, taxis, as well as walk another 5-7 minutes for more restaurants and services. As you enter the hotel, you pass the elevators to go towards the check-in desks on the right-side.  There are only two check-in desks and that was not sufficient for the size nor amount of people checking-in; it was a bit chaotic and there was a long wait depending on what time you checked in.  Further into the hotel is the bar and restaurant and on the left side is the small 'business' area with computer and printers (although the printer did not work for me so I had to send it to the front desk to print out - which a lot of people seemed to do).  I checked in, received my key and proceeded to my room. The room was spacious and as you entered into the room there was a hallway which the right-side of the hallway are closets that run along the hallway.  The closest consists both of a standard closet next to another closet with shelves; the closets provided a lot of storage places.  On the other side of the hallway was the bathroom which had the sink in the middle, the toilet on one side and the shower on the other (the shower had a window to the room and I do not know why so many hotels are doing this?!!).  As part of being a full-service hotel, the bathroom did have nice amenities including fair-trade products such as soap, shower gel, shampoo, and other products.  Additional bathroom amenities included very big and nice towels, which were good quality and very large towels. The room was spacious and had all the amenities of a nice hotel.  You entered into the a hallway on At the end of the hallway was the main section of the room which had two beds with nightstands on either side as well as reading lights.  The beds were bigger than a twin but definitely smaller than a full  so were both bit small in terms of length and width but they were comfortable enough and provided a comfortable sleep; the duvet on top was also comfortable as well.  Between the bed and the long window was a chair and a couch which was nice to sit and enjoy the view; in front of the bed was a desk to work on and a TV mounted on the wall.  In the bedroom section but connected to the closets was a section for the coffee maker, a fridge, and a safe in the room.  These were in the nook in the closets and provided a nice touch. As a full-service hotel, there were many amenities that were provided. The hotel contains a bar, a restaurant, a pool, a fitness center,  a spa, free wifi, laundry services, room service, and a barber shop.  Most of these amenities were located on the basement level - I went during COVID so not all amenities were available.  The amenities I used were the free wifi, which was average and decent; and in the time of COVID a PCR test I booked through the hotel.  I needed a PCR test for arrival into my next country so I emailed the hotel and booked a PCR test through the hotel; if I had one in the morning I would have the results by the evening so I booked it for late morning.  The hotel got the timing wrong and I only found this out the night before when I went to confirm my appointment which turned out to be early morning and not late morning; all went well and I got my test done and the emailed the results to the front desk to print out (as the main printer was not working). In the end, it was an average stay at the Novotel.  The full service amenities provided by the hotel were nice, the location of the hotel was decent but this did not compensate for the poor customer service.  The hotel provided poor to minimal customer service.  The Novotel provides full service amenities, but not the full service customer service.

Yelp
Our stay was very nice. From our room to the amenities everything was great. Our room was spacious and clean. The bathroom separating the bedroom was made out of glass and they have that feature where you could tint the wall so no one can see you, or not if you don't mind showing your business. Breakfast was included in our stay and the food was decent. But the view from their restaurant is pretty spectacular. It overlooks the water and if y Istanbul, but it rained while we were there so that was a bit of a downer. We would definitely go back and stay here.

Yelp
A great hotel in a nice location along the river. Beautiful modern rooms, nice on-site restaurant, and views looking out to the river and the city beyond.
