Novotel İstanbul Bosphorus

Great choice of hotel for our family of 4 as lot of eating options are at a walking distance. Public transportation is also very close by and the neighborhood is safe enough for late night walks. We stayed in a Junior suite and it was spacious enough for 4 of us. Rooms and clean and staff is polite and courteous always greeting you with a smile. Breakfast buffet is good with a lot of options, but limited vegetarian choices as some have mentioned earlier, so will explore other places in our stay.

Location is excellent, very convenient for all tourist attractions. Lot of eateries around and public transport is at walkable distance. We were a family of 3 and we got a junior suite which was comfortable and it was sea facing view. Other rooms are compact but managing 3 people would have been a challenge. Staff is very helpful and nearly all speak English so that helps a lot. Breakfast is on the rooftop restaurant which has a good spread but had very limited vegetarian options except breads, cheese and fruits no other option is available. Food taste was good staff is quick in service and support.

Loved the hotel , location and service!! Thank you very much for upgrading us. We were celebrating our proposal and this upgrade is super meaningful and surprised us. We were sad we can only stay 1 night. Will definitely recommend Novotel Istanbul to our friends who visit in the future. Thank you!!

Novotel Phosphorus Istanbul Review||Overall, my stay at the Novotel Phosphorus was acceptable, but there were several areas that left me less than impressed.||On the positive side, the location was quite convenient, being situated close to many of Istanbul's top attractions. The rooms themselves were also decently appointed and maintained a satisfactory level of cleanliness for the most part.||However, there were a number of issues that detracted from the experience. Most glaringly, I found mould in the bathroom, which is simply unacceptable for a hotel of this calibre. Cleanliness should be an utmost priority, and letting mould fester is a lapse in maintenance standards. ||Another letdown was the limited English proficiency of many staff members, which made communication and requesting assistance quite difficult at times. As an international hotel brand, having multi-lingual staff is an important asset.||I was also disappointed by the excessive spa and airport transfers. There was a staggering £47 difference between the hotel's airport transfer fee and what a regular taxi charged for the same route.it would make more sense to simply book transportation separately.||Finally, I was put off by the minibar being checked so frequently during my stay. While I understand the hotel's need to monitor consumables, it felt like an invasion of privacy having staff enter my room so regularly just for minibar checks.||In summary, the Novotel Phosphorus gets the basics right for a mid-range Istanbul hotel, but falls short in several key areas like cleanliness, staffing, pricing practices, and guest privacy that prevent me from giving it a full endorsement. Some improvements are needed to better meet the standards expected of the Novotel brand.||I wouldn't advise against staying at the Novotel Phosphorus, as the issues cited are relatively minor ones that likely won't derail your holiday. However, they may put a small damper on what could otherwise be a 5-star experience. Managing expectations accordingly is advised.

What a lovely hotel! Stayed here 3 nights with my husband and my parents. The selling point is the view from the breakfast area, you can watch the sunrise with a a beautiful view of the bosphorus, and skyline of Hagia Sophia and blue mosque. I will say there was not the best options for an eggless and vegetarian breakfast, but it was still good. The service is amazing my staff- very helpful. The Sauna/ steam room and pool are also lovely. The rooms are comfortable and more on the basic side. Only down side was the hallways seemed like some unfinished drywall, but like I said- the amenities of the hotel make up for that! Also the location is great, walkable to many places and by the tram!

The Hotel was really well located, the rooms were very spacious with amazing house keeping. We did the Hamam and massage at the hotel and it was an amazing experience, i felt so relaxed afterwards.

Location, very near to tram and Karakoy where nice restaurants and bars are present. Breakfast was also very good and high quality. Staff doesn’t smile much and didn’t feel friendly. I didn’t feel comfortable sometimes. Cleaning staff also used to make faces if asked to come at a later time. Felt weird. The hotel is advertised as 5 star but doesn’t feel like 5 star at all. At max 4 star.

Nice hotel in an excellent location. Close to trolly and ferries. The breakfast was amazing with a variety of different items to choose from and the view was spectacular from the rooftop. Suggest asking for an inner room to avoid the vibrant nightlife noise.

Moved here from what turned out to be a sketchy hotel originally booked. I know what to expect from Novotel. Basic comfort and cleanliness and helpful staff who can speak English is found here! Great restaurants nearby and nearly on the water. Such a great location. Near public transport lots of food options and shopping. Rooftop bar and dining & breakfast is lovely except if there is a cruise ship blocking the view. The spa downstairs in -1 is amazing! Had an incredible massage from Laura. Did not experience the hammam. Maybe next time. Lovely staff every one of them! So helpful and kind. Mehmet at breakfast made your whole breakfast experience feel welcoming and special. Kubilay at the front desk was helpful I. Retro resolve my Accor account. All the young men there were helpful. Only advice is 5th floor is below rooftop breakfast so Sunday night was endless carts/tables/chairs? rolling around. Fell asleep at 2:28am. I would restart here again!

I was meeting people in Istanbul and needed a hotel close to them.  They were staying in the Karakoy district of Istanbul so when I looked for nearby hotels I found the Novotel.  The hotel is located in the back part of an entertainment section in this neighborhood where there are clubs and restaurants.  The back of the hotel faces this area while the front faces the river; there is still a lot of construction and renovations being done around the hotel so there are not a lot of services near the hotel.  The hotel is a 3-minute walk to the main street and from there you can access the tram, taxis, as well as walk another 5-7 minutes for more restaurants and services. As you enter the hotel, you pass the elevators to go towards the check-in desks on the right-side.  There are only two check-in desks and that was not sufficient for the size nor amount of people checking-in; it was a bit chaotic and there was a long wait depending on what time you checked in.  Further into the hotel is the bar and restaurant and on the left side is the small 'business' area with computer and printers (although the printer did not work for me so I had to send it to the front desk to print out - which a lot of people seemed to do).  I checked in, received my key and proceeded to my room. The room was spacious and as you entered into the room there was a hallway which the right-side of the hallway are closets that run along the hallway.  The closest consists both of a standard closet next to another closet with shelves; the closets provided a lot of storage places.  On the other side of the hallway was the bathroom which had the sink in the middle, the toilet on one side and the shower on the other (the shower had a window to the room and I do not know why so many hotels are doing this?!!).  As part of being a full-service hotel, the bathroom did have nice amenities including fair-trade products such as soap, shower gel, shampoo, and other products.  Additional bathroom amenities included very big and nice towels, which were good quality and very large towels.The room was spacious and had all the amenities of a nice hotel.  You entered into the a hallway on At the end of the hallway was the main section of the room which had two beds with nightstands on either side as well as reading lights.  The beds were bigger than a twin but definitely smaller than a full  so were both bit small in terms of length and width but they were comfortable enough and provided a comfortable sleep; the duvet on top was also comfortable as well.  Between the bed and the long window was a chair and a couch which was nice to sit and enjoy the view; in front of the bed was a desk to work on and a TV mounted on the wall.  In the bedroom section but connected to the closets was a section for the coffee maker, a fridge, and a safe in the room.  These were in the nook in the closets and provided a nice touch. As a full-service hotel, there were many amenities that were provided. The hotel contains a bar, a restaurant, a pool, a fitness center,  a spa, free wifi, laundry services, room service, and a barber shop.  Most of these amenities were located on the basement level - I went during COVID so not all amenities were available.  The amenities I used were the free wifi, which was average and decent; and in the time of COVID a PCR test I booked through the hotel.  I needed a PCR test for arrival into my next country so I emailed the hotel and booked a PCR test through the hotel; if I had one in the morning I would have the results by the evening so I booked it for late morning.  The hotel got the timing wrong and I only found this out the night before when I went to confirm my appointment which turned out to be early morning and not late morning; all went well and I got my test done and the emailed the results to the front desk to print out (as the main printer was not working). In the end, it was an average stay at the Novotel.  The full service amenities provided by the hotel were nice, the location of the hotel was decent but this did not compensate for the poor customer service.  The hotel provided poor to minimal customer service.  The Novotel provides full service amenities, but not the full service customer service.

Our stay was very nice. From our room to the amenities everything was great. Our room was spacious and clean. The bathroom separating the bedroom was made out of glass and they have that feature where you could tint the wall so no one can see you, or not if you don't mind showing your business. Breakfast was included in our stay and the food was decent. But the view from their restaurant is pretty spectacular. It overlooks the water and if y Istanbul, but it rained while we were there so that was a bit of a downer. We would definitely go back and stay here.

A great hotel in a nice location along the river. Beautiful modern rooms, nice on-site restaurant, and views looking out to the river and the city beyond.
