"Eagle County is probably the last place you’d expect to find great Hawaiian food, but Kai Island Grill serves some exceptional poke and meat bowls. It’s a casual, counter-service spot where you should order some raw tuna mixed with sesame oil and onions, or go for it smothered in spicy mayo. If you’re looking for something a little warmer than chilled fish, they do a great grilled flank steak that’s drizzled in Maui sauce." - kim fuller

Great atmosphere, cookers are very attentive, food was great, they put a good show, restaurant is not too fancy it could use some upgrades, its divided in two sections with different food options. Service can be a little slow, reasonable prices for all the good food portions that they serve you. I recommend it. 👌

Wonderful food !!! Service is prompt and friendly. Parking you've got to scan a parking lot sign. Then put your license plate in along with your phone number. It was free. I think it's something they use in the winter to stop skiers parking there. Sushi was fresh. The green curry was great !

Very pleasant staff, got seated right away and the food great! We had the yellow curry, teriyaki chicken and other appetizers. The jalapeño poppers where great butbhad seeds and they need more cream cheese/stuffing but overall are great. Definitely recommend for everyone to visit.

Dined here many years ago on a "date night" while my partner and I were staying in the Beaver Creek area. She loves sushi; I like sushi, so we gave it a shot. Glad we did - it was a nice experience. The food was good, and the service and atmosphere were nice. In the end (not surprisingly), I liked it (I'm a bit pickier on what I like), and she loved it. Would recommend.

We did a family at the hibachi - unfortunately it fell flat for us. We ordered lobster and steak and both were doused in soy sauce killing any actual flavor of those meats. We would have ordered chicken instead knowing they would have destroyed them. Meals weren't even eaten; highly disappointed that their 'chefs' would ruin such high quality protein like that. Lobster should speak for itself as a flavor. We didn't touch our entree even.

Beware! This restaurant adds gratuity of 20% for ALL size of party, despite the website saying they add 18% for parties of six or more. Review your bill closely before you sign. Food is decent and the hibachi show is 7/10. Food quantity is good - timing of food was unusual. Shrimp app came towards the end and veggies came after everything else and we had mostly eaten everything. Fried rice was not great. Filet and scallops were great.

I usually dont do this. People have bad days but i left here feeling very bad. The Sushi was delicious the Chef was Fast and the Sushi very well made and presented. I was very Satisfied until the end of my experience i recieved the check. Ive been a server for 5 years so i know that some servers do this but its usually very frowned upon. I was a Single Person and i ordered two roll s and some fish and a soda my bill total was $53.09 and underneith it said GRATUITY was 23.76 which is Half of my whole order. I dont understand how i got given gratuity for a single person when its usually for partys of 6 or more. It was just me at lunch the whole place was empty. So i told my server and he seemed suprised and changed it except he didnt take the gratuity off he just lowered it to $10 which i usually tip anyways but again it just killed the experience for me. I wasnt messy i cleaned up my area and i was always gonna tip $10 to $12 but geezus was that crappy. Anyways food was good i just hope he doesnt force gratuity on anyone anymore especially a single person in a empty resturant. He also said he doesnt have Apple pay or Gpay ! So bring cash or card

I have been going to Nozawa since it opened, before anyone who currently works there even started, which notes to thousands of dollars spent here. A few days ago I ordered sushi for pick up and found a small piece of TWISTED METAL INSIDE OF A ROLL. The metal was found with only a few pieces of sushi left to eat, and so I brought the piece of metal back to the restaurant for a showcase of concern and demand of refund. The sushi bar guy came to the front and refunded me for one roll out of three rolls, which I really didn't care about, but the principle mattered most. The guy told me sarcastically to go to the hospital if I had any concerns of mistakenly swallowing additional metal. The way I was treated with defensive malice far outweighed my frustration as a customer. I returned back to the restaurant this evening for a party of five and the manager arrogantly said they are refusing to serve me; Nozawa has turned into a cesspool. I'm glad I took a picture of the twisted metal before I handed it to them. Take a look for yourself. If you don't want metal in your sushi, don't eat at this place. They also use miracle whip in their California rolls. **Unethical Business!**
