NU Chicken

NU Chicken is an outstanding new chicken place in a city over run with fried chicken. It’s super clean and shiny. A simple menu of Nashville Hot Chicken either fingers or sandwich. The chicken fingers are more like breasts so go hungry. They were hot and juicy and appeared to maybe be double fried Korean style? We chose the suggested middle of the road spice level and might go up a notch next time. It was good but not overwhelmingly hot. Made me feel safe about my choice. Fried chicken, fries and pickles were served hot and fresh. Nice ranch with the pickles. The NU Chicken special sauce is pretty cool too, maybe a spicy mayo The soda is great too, all are sparkling and a little bit creamy. We tried both the root beer and the blood orange. The blood orange soda seemed closer to a blood orange creamsicle flavor. They serve custard shakes but we are saving that for next visit. Went in starving and came out delightfully full.

Everything fried well and hot. I would prefer more seasoning or brining of the sandwich but the crunchiness was good. Good size piece of chicken. Kale slaw in sandwich a bit messy and could use more kick. Fried pickles great and classic. French fries tasty and made with beef tallow. And the blood orange soda is fantastic.

First visit here did not disappoint! The inside is a fun/ funky space theme. We ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich with a comet tail sauce (light spice) and a single tender meal with Meteor shower sauce (mild sauce). Everything was phenomenal. The seasoning on the chicken tender was unique, slightly sweet but not overwhelming. The tenders are on the larger side and they fry everything in avocado oil which gives the chicken a nice crunch while still remaining juicy.

We stopped in to try Nu Chicken and just picked up 2 tenders and a side of fries. The service was friendly and attentive. It seemed slow and still took 15 minutes, but good food takes time. We got 1 plain and 1 medium (meteor shower.) The chicken was juicy and crispy and amazing. The fries were shoestring, hot and crispy. The meteor sauce was zesty and creamy. I stopped in the bathroom and it was clean and big and bright with a changing table. There was limited seating, not enough for my big family so we would have to stick with takeout or date night with the hubby. I saw a sundae made with custard and it looked amazing. We will be back for that. Why four stars? It was $16 for just the one small meal that wouldn’t have filled my teens’ bellies. That didn’t include a drink and tip, either. If I’m spending more than $20/pp, it’s going to be an experience where we can sit and talk and it will fill them up. I will be stopping in to treat kids or get frozen custard. But we won’t be getting full dinners here due to the high price for small amount of food.

I’m not the biggest person on hot Nashville chicken, but this stuff is delicious. Great flavor and good spice levels to the chicken. The moon boy sauce goes great with whatever you’re having. I very much enjoy the inner theme and vibe inside the restaurant!

I've wanted to stop in for a few weeks since I realized this place was related to NU Kitchen. I was not disappointed. I had the Loaded Fries. Delicious, and a good exploration of everything they have. I'd compare this place to Dave's Hot Chicken, but much better. There's not many options with Dave's. Especially not something vegetarian like NU Chicken's Cauliflower Bites. Much healthier alternative, and just as good.

Quite mediocre. We saw a new chicken spot open up and we decided to check it out. Personally, we would not come back here but it was nice to satisfy the curiosity. The chicken itself was good. Great balance between sweet and spicy (with the honey in breading and the light spice option). The fries were average. Nothing spectacular about them. The fried pickles had absolutely no flavor at all. Very disappointing. Otherwise the vibe is nice, place is clean. We spent $40 in total and I wouldn’t really recommend this place sadly.

This place is definitely must RETURN. We ordered the loaded fries and sides of Mac & cheese and we will be coming back very soon for the same order. This was the best loaded fries I’ve ever had PLUS I don’t feel bad for eating it because it has such great and fresh ingredients. Every bite left me immediately wanting another. And the mango juice was a perfect pairing. My sister literally got a side of Mac and cheese to go for tomorrow’s meal prep. Then to end the whole meal with a beautiful sundae. Please please come and show this place some love!

Amazing food! I love the fact that the fries are cook on beef tallow! Also the service was fast and friendly.

I had rated NU Chicken 4 star on my first visit, but after coming back a few times it's a solid 5 for me now. I even attended their grand opening celebration and got a free cap and the strawberry shortcake sundae--it didn't look like much but it was rich, creamy soft serve and super tasty. This visit I went with the one tendie meal, and it was the right portion for me. Their tendies are massive--juicy, crispy, and full of flavor. Two was a little too much for me last time, so one was the perfect portion. Service has been consistently great--friendly and fast every time. NU Chicken has officially earned a spot on my go-to list when I'm craving quality tendies. They also updated their patio area by adding additional seeing and a nice pergola. Cheers.

Gave NuChicken a try! Staff - 5/5. super friendly and polite Restaurant - 5/5. well done, they just added outdoor seating. Clean, limited tables. Food - 4/5. Got medium spice and the flavor was overwhelmingly paprika and really spicy. One tender was enough for me. Fries were crispy. I will definitely go back, maybe next time I will try the tenders plain. Keep this cursed location in business!

Yo. Honest review. Staff 10/10 super nice even tho i didn't know what i wanted bc i was a newbie Food 9.5/10 chicken was real chicken. Big size and tender. I got the first level spice and was pretty solid! I'm not big on spicy food but it was flavorful and just enough for me to still enjoy the chicken haha. Mac and cheese wayyyyyy better than chick fila and their French fries taste really good bc they cook them in healthy oil idk if my wife said they cook it in beef talon or something like that. The loaded fries are LOADED. Worth the price! Atmosphere 10/10 super chill and just good vibes. Honestly the only reason i don't give the place a 10/10 is bc the soda is healthy soda. (I'm not a big fan) And the cola tasted like apple cinnamon soda idk. My wife liked it but I'm not a big soda person. The lemonade is prreeettttyyy good tho! Def helped me out with the spicy chicken All that said. Dave's chicken and Chick-fil-A who?????? NU Chicken got a new big back customer 33 bucks for 2 meals is a win for that quality food. Pictures may not justify how good it is. But i say definitely give it a shot!

Honestly disappointing. I gave 3 stars because the service was good and the food came out quick and steaming hot. I was one of 4 people in there, though. Food is better than Dave's Hot chicken or whatever the place down the street is, not better than chick-fil-a. I got 2 tenders ($10) and a Mac and cheese ($6). I also tried a sample of their frozen custard, but did not end up ordering a sundae because it had the tiniest hint of spoiled taste. Just the tiniest hint, it could've even been just bitterness because it's custard not ice cream, but the taste wasn't it for me. I got a half iced tea half lemonade that must've been at least $4 even though it was a 16 oz cup that they filled 3/4 with ice and it probably had a total of 6oz liquid in it if that. Ok, back to the food. The chicken came out steaming hot and it was moist in the loveliest way. Those were the good things. I ordered zero level spice. The batter was really salty and garlicky and almost all of it fell off the chicken as I cut it. So that was that. The Mac and cheese was sub par. Noodles were over cooked, cheese wasn't fully melted even though it was hot and bread crumbs were just that- bread crumbs- and more salt, no real seasonings. I spent $26 (granted I tipped $5 when I paid at the register) and it just wasn't amazing. Next time I'll probably just go to chick fil a.

Got takeout from Nu Chicken on Park Ave, Worcester. Ordered the tender meal with meteor shower spice, it was super crispy & fresh. The beef tallow-fried french fries stayed crispy, even to go. Kola Lite from Tractor Drinks was a nice surprise.

It was very good nice clean place We went on grand opening day and the owner was there. Very nice gentleman great staff very friendly, easy parking and the chicken was delicious.

The food at this place is beyond disappointing. The oil was dripping off the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich buns. No piece of meat and just the tasteless crunch. Even Wendy's is way better than this place Not coming back again.

I was initially skeptical, but I've ordered a few times from Nu Chicken now, and it's fantastic--the Nashville chicken sandwich is far superior to Dave's Hot Chicken (in my opinion), the fries are delicious, and the sauces are a highlight of their own (love the Moonboy and the ranch tastes homemade). They don't hold back on the spice if you want it. Custard was pretty good, maybe not the star of the show, but loving everything else I've tried.

Love the small menu. They're good at what they do. The Nashville chicken sandwich is great and the loaded fries were amazing! Service was quick and the location is prime with parking.

The food tasted old.... Recommend cooking the food and smaller batches and keeping it under the heating lights for a short amount of time making new stuff every 40 minutes

Great sandwich! Healthly option fried in avacado oil. Been there 3 times since opening and perfect every time.

Anything above the recommended is tooo spicy in my opinion but but everything else was good

Chicken was cooked perfect. Flavor and Spice matches anything in Nashville. The fries were very good. Staff were very polite. Very clean inside and plenty of parking.

We ordered tenders, mac&cheese, and a shake. the tenders were burning hot and not terribly appetizing with a few soft pickles on the side. The mac&cheese was also cold and the shake was nowhere to be seen. The service itself wasn't great and felt very laid back.

Just had lunch at Nu Chicken. Best chicken sandwich I've ever had. The chicken was so big it hung out larger than the bun. Staff was super nice. Can't wait to go back!
