Yelp
I took a friend out for a birthday dinner recently at the brand newly opened Nube Rooftop Bar & Restaurant at the top of the Hilton Hotel on Fort Lauderdale Beach at 505 N Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd. The entire experience from start to finish was a 10/10.
We had an 8 pm reservation but arrived at 7:30 because we wanted to check out the bar scene for a bit before our table was ready. The ambience, decor, and views are absolutely stunning. This is sure to be one of the hottest new spots in all of South Florida, not just Fort Lauderdale.
They offer a variety of specialty cocktails. I started with a "Moonlight Mojito" with Bacardi Superior Rum, Toasted Coconut, Passionfruit, Mint, Lime, & Club Soda ($16), while my friend had an "Ocean Escape" consisting of Ketel One Vodka, Red Bull, Coconut Berry, & Citrus ($16). Both of us really enjoyed the drinks and by the time we finished them our table was ready.
Our server Shirley, was very friendly and attentive. Most of the dishes are small plates meant for sharing, and since everything sounded so good we ordered a whole bunch of food to share, including:
* JUMBO SHRIMP COCKTAIL
Cocktail Sauce * Spiced Crackers ($22)
* COCONUT SHRIMP TWO WAYS
Coconut Fried Shrimp * Shrimp Ceviche * Coconut Sauce * Coconut "Bacon" ($18)
* "CAESAR'S HAND" DIP
Prosciutto * Romaine * Caesar Dip * Fluffy Green Goddess * Umami Sourdough Crumbs ($16)
* SHORT RIB EMPANADAS
Ají Amarillo Aioli * Salsa Criolla ($17)
* SALT & PEPPER CALAMARI
Lemon Sumac Aioli * Thai Vinaigrette ($21)
* WAGYU DUMPLINGS
Tonkotsu Sauce * Truffle Pearls ($22)
And as a nice birthday gesture, they also gave us a complimentary dessert. We opted for the KEY LIME PIE PARFAIT with Waffle & Nut Crunch, Ginger Crumbs, and Grand Marnier Chantilly (whatever that is lol)
Total tab including tip was $203. Highly recommend this place. The whole experience from the ambience, food, and service was a total home run.
