Nubiani - Midtown East

I’ve been to many Korean BBQ spots in New York, but Nubiani is truly the best. From the atmosphere to the quality of the food, everything was exceptional. The banchan was fresh and beautifully prepared, and the meat quality was outstanding. Every dish exceeded my expectations. If I have family visiting or an important gathering, Nubiani will definitely be my first choice. A special thank you to our server, Michelle, who was incredibly kind and took the time to explain each item in detail. Her attentiveness made the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. We’ll absolutely be coming back.

Had dinner at Nubiani last weekend and we loved everything about it. This Korean BBQ spot ranks among the best I’ve been to in the city. Stylish and modern, you can tell right away this isn’t just another Korean BBQ restaurant. Service throughout was exceptional, and we were really well taken care of by our tableside chef. The meat quality was outstanding and the portions were generous. We ordered the small beef set along with an order of pork belly, which we probably didn’t need, but it was really good so no regrets. The banchan was also a highlight, all very refined and full of flavor. All in all, an excellent experience and a place I’m really looking forward to coming back to. One note though: it’s highly recommended to bring cash. It’s not required, but you get a 10% discount if you pay in cash, which is considerable at a place like this.

My family of four had the Nubiani package, their largest package. The quality of meat and seasoning is very good. We could rarely find this good Korean BBQ when we were in Korea. And the side dishes are creative and good. The side dishes are a little sweeter than our liking but we understand that Korean restaurants cater to broader tastes, both in U.S. and in Korea. The portion was more than enough for 4 of us. We had spicy cold buckwheat noodle, and the doneness of the noodle and the seasoning was very good, too. The serves were attentive and knowledgeable. However, they wind down the service after the kitchen closes at ~9:15. One glitch during our visit was the coat check. When a busy server retrieved our coat, she did not take off greasy poly gloves. As a result, there are clearly visible grease stain on our coats. I hope they could improve the coat retrieval procedure.

Truly a fantastic spot. It’s the best Korean BBQ I’ve tried so far. The lunch menu was excellent as well, and the staff were friendly and very professional. I’d definitely visit more often if it were closer to home.

My first time checking out this location and I’ve gotta say, I definitely prefer it over the K-Town one! The vibes here are way more chill and relaxed. Our server was super attentive and really fun to chat with. We ordered the large beef package, cold noodles, and hamachi. She grilled out meat perfectly and all the flavors hit just right. Plus, our banchan were refilled without us even asking. Loved the whole experience!

I love Nubiani Midtown East — it’s one of my favorite restaurants! The atmosphere is great, and the side dishes are unique and beautifully presented. The staff were very attentive, and they grilled the meat perfectly for us. I had such a wonderful time with my friends. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Nubiani is a hidden gem in Midtown East for anyone who loves authentic Korean food with a modern touch. The restaurant has a cozy, stylish atmosphere that makes it perfect for both casual dinners and catching up with friends after work.

Nubiani delivered an outstanding dining experience. The meat quality was superb, clearly premium cuts, and paired perfectly with high quality Korean banchan that were fresh, well balanced, and thoughtfully prepared. The service truly stood out. Our server cooked the meat tableside exactly to our request, a perfect medium rare, and checked in at every step without ever being intrusive. Extremely attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely hospitable, which elevated the entire meal. From the food to the service, everything felt refined and intentional. Easily one of the best Korean BBQ experiences in Midtown East. Highly recommend for both quality and service.

One of the best KBBQ experiences I've had. The ambiance is stunning, the service attentive, and the food just absolutely perfect. The attention to detail to the decor throughout the store, the lovely moody lighting, the fact that they cook the meats far enough away that the smoke doesn't seep into your hair and clothes -- such an elevated experience! The food itself was all perfect. From the fresh, tangy banchan to the expertly cooked beef, to the fluffy and delicate steamed egg, the whole dinner from start to finish was fantastic. Can't wait to come again.

This place is so nice! We got the small beef package and with all the ongoing banchan we were sooo full. It is great for two people. The service was so nice and I had a great time. I was feeling curious so we had the wagyu salad and I feel like it was very healthy tasting. I feel like next time I'll just get the beef package without the salad. But worth trying once!

I have yet to try their flagship Ktown location, but I had an excellent experience at this location! To be honest, this may be favorite KBBQ in the city after Cote. The ambience is great, and the food is even better. You can tell that everything is high quality here, from the banchan to the tartare to the beef. Sleeper hit for me- the complementary soft serve they give at the end of the meal which is not too sweet and the perfect way to cap off the meal. They do give a cash discount, so bring cash if you can!

I've dined at Nubiani before (at the Ktown location). But this was my first time dining at the Midtown East location with a reservation in the private room (seats up to 12 pp). **TIP** for the private room of 12 pp, the minimum spend is $120pp Service: Service was fine to start. There were a lot of people coming by to serve the banchans (2 sets for our group of 12, so 1 set of banchan for 6 people... I felt like it would be helpful to have had up to 3 sets personally, because we did need plenty of refills and it was a bit difficult to pass back and forth). For the private room, the grills are in the corner of the room away from the table. I did not mind this because it makes it less smoky, and since our meal was more focused on socializing (as I'm guessing most parties are when booking the private room), it was actually nice to have the grills out of the way. At a certain point early on in the dinner, we were only left with one staff member at the grill and she was quite busy. We had ordered a wine and we saw the wine bottle at the corner, but not yet served, and we were asked not to pour it ourselves. When another staff member came in, we asked if they could pour us the wine, and the staff member at the grill told us they would get to it soon, they were just busy at the grill right now, and the second staff member promptly left the room. The rest of the night we just had that one staff member attending us, which was fine once all the meat was grilled and the dinner was winding down, I just wish they were more attentive to the general party throughout, and had more staff members when things were busy. Food: For 12 pp, we ordered 3 "Beef Large Packages", and 2 of the following appetizers: - shrimp and chive pancake - japchae (vegetarian) - Beef tartare All packages come with a choice of stew, so we ordered the soybean paste stew, and egg soufflé. The meats were incredible, while the shared dishes we ordered were just okay, that honestly I'd recommend sticking to enjoying the Meat packages +dishes/banchans that come with the packages. The soybean paste stew was, dare I say, too salty. Perhaps it would have been great to order a side of rice to eat with that. I somehow preferred my first time at Nubiani with a party of 6 (Known location). I recall the service being EXCELLENT whereas here, despite having the private room, the service was hands off and it felt rushed. The Beef Large package was amazing though, and great quality and cook of meat. It's still definitely a good spot to impress guests out of town!

I have to say, my brother and I left feeling pretty disappointed about our experience here and will stick to the ktown location for Nubiani. We absolutely love Nubiani in ktown and have been recommending it to a lot of our friends and family, so we were excited to check out the new location. However, we thought the service here was not like that of the original location. The space is definitely a different vibe that the ktown location, a bit more American fine dining like(?) with the brighter connected table/seating (granted I only got to see the main floor and the bathroom). The chadol (brisket) was so meaty and not like the chadol at other kbbq restaurants.. and it was a pretty small portion given it was $50. We came here craving it but felt like that was the most disappointing piece. We had the small beef package for the two of us and that was definitely more than enough food. Wish it came with more veggies to grill though. I think what upset us the most is that they were very, very slow with the services. Our sauces/dips (gave us two salt, ponzu/soy sauce, and no wasabi in one dish when it should be one of each) were wrong so we asked for wasabi, but it took MULTIPLE asks to get it. Our server kept cooking the meat too fast so a lot of the meat got really cold when we were about to actually eat it. I had to tell her multiple times to slow down as our plates still have a lot of meat, and to not start cooking the next batch of meat. The soy bean stew and steamed egg did not come out right away so it was when we had already started eating the meat that they came out. Last but not least, she kept taking away food/dishes that we could still eat. Not only did I feel like it was a waste of food but I wanted to eat more of it (like the steamed egg) so I had to stop her multiple times from taking it away from our table. Given the price, we expected a better service but the whole experience was pretty disappointing and frustrating. I would stick to the ktown location if you are looking for a good kbbq experience.

10% off if you pay with cash. The 4 of us shared the nubiani package along with the cold noodles and perilla oil noodles. The meats were all good, with my favorite cuts being the pork belly (chunky and so crispy, bigger than your typical Korean cut) and perhaps the short ribs. The cold noodles is much more seasoned than typical 냉면. I was looking for a deeper beef broth flavor but this was good too. The perilla oil noodles were better especially with the black sesame paste. The shisho berry bliss and sunlit spritz both had the texture of smoothies which I didn't like. The milk soft serve with yuzu on top was good and they offered us a 2nd round. Not sure if that's typical or not but made our night!

We love their KTown location so when we heard about them having this place too, we had to give it a shot. We made a weekend lunch reservation for a counter table and were seated right away. Service was great and fast and available. The food was so good! Meat was cooked perfectly by the gentleman working the second floor counter. The sides (banchan) were all delicious too. Ambiance was another high point. I actually liked the slightly more intimate vibes of this location. Totally recommended!

First off, I don't really eat meat like this, so my review is more based on the experience and non-meat food. You might be thinking why I came here if I'm not interested in the meat. Well, I was celebrating a friend's bday. And despite only nomming on a few pieces of the really cooked edges of meat, I still left with a full belly. That's because I filled up on the complimentary banchan, which was so good, and the restaurant wasn't stingy on refilling the banchan either. In addition to the banchan, we also ordered a few things on the menu that weren't kbbq. We got the squid and beef pancake, which I've never seen on Korean menus before, so I was very excited to try. The pancake is different from the Korean kimchi or seafood pancakes that I've had in the past. The shape is more irregular, the dough is thinner and fewer, and it had a lot of beef. I still prefer the pancakes I'm used to, but I really liked the cold buckwheat noodles. It was so refreshing and simple yet tasty. Large beef package - this was ALMOST enough for 3 guys and 3 girls (with 2 barely eating). It came with two choices of soup; we got the pork belly kimchi soup. It wasn't too spicy. Anyway, since the group was able to go for some beef but not a whole package, we ordered some more of our favorite loose meats from the large beef package. Aside from the food, I thought the place was pretty nice. The interior and the staff exuded elegance. I would say it's like an elevated kbbq experience. Also, my group was so late to the reservation, but the staff was really nice about it. Bring cash for a small discount!

The restaurant is modern and dimly lit. We were seated upstairs and the tables are spacious. The service was excellent, very attentive, and they cook the meat for you. We ordered the small beef package, with soybean paste stew, the perilla oil buckwheat noodles, the shrimp and chive pancake, and rice. It also comes with an assortment of ban chan. Although it was not a lot of meat, with all of the sides and other dishes we were all full by the end. We probably didn't need the noodles and I'm not sure that I would order that again. They also give you soft serve at the end of your meal! Overall I think it's one of the nicer kbbq spots.

I've been to both the locations of Nubiani and I am pretty biased and love this location. The ambiance and the environment is a lot darker and more intimate. However the day we were, there was some issues with the bathroom and it somehow ended up flooding. Not the restaurant fault but it's probably because they just opened and was going through some kinks. Nonetheless, I would definitely come back to this Nubiani. Once again the staff is always friendly and it's great service. The meats are no different than the ktown location so you'll be expecting the same quality meats.

The food was amazing. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. The server was attentive and checked if we needed anything. The restaurant was nice but the table behind was loud but that's to be expected. Everyone else was quiet. There is also a. 10% discount if you pay with cash

After not being able to grab a reservation at their K-town location, my friend and I decided to check out their Midtown East location. The interior of this restaurant is intimate, sleek, and pretty upscale. Service here was outstanding and so polite. My friend and I got their small beef package with soondubu and enjoyed it! The meal comes with delicious banchan, oyster fried rice, and orange soft serve (at the end). The beef package came with boneless short ribs, skirt steak, rib finger, and seasoned short ribs. For dipping you're given wasabi, salt, and a ponzu (?) sauce. All of the meat was great quality, tender, and juicy. Soondubu was also great! I also loved their oyster fried rice, but after it sat out during the course of the meal, the rice became hard and was pretty unedible :(. Their orange soft serve was a great way to end the meal. While the meal was pretty good, I think there's better Korean barbecue for the price point.

Upon returning to this location a second time, with a large group and booking the private room, I was disappointed to have the same experience as many other reviewers - the food being consistently strong, but the service being rushed and rude. In fairness to the restaurant, we were running 20 mins late so you can take the following with a grain of salt. The private room has a minimum spend of 120 pp, but still only a 2 hour time limit - challenging for a group of 12 (we ended up being 11 people but were still charged for 12). We were given some aggressive timings, with the last food orders (1 hour before time up) and last drink orders (30 mins before time up). We were rushed along because there was meant to be a group coming at 8:30. We were waiting in the lobby area till 8:50 but didn't see any other group come in so felt like the rush wasn't necessarily justified. The service felt rude and unfriendly; none of the dishes were explained, and drinks orders were never taken - we had to call the server over several times to place each order. We ordered 1 Nubiani package and 2 Large beef packages (one was ordered at the last food call), for 8 meat eaters (the remainder were vegetarian or pescatarian), but because we started late, I am speculating that we weren't given the normal size portions of meat. The 8 of us finished almost every single bite of meat, which didn't make sense given each package should serve ~4 people (based on what the server told us and based on the 5 or so previous experiences with Nubiani). We also didn't receive our 3rd steamed egg. There are also normally mushrooms and vegetables that are cooked with the packages; we saw these on the platter but they were never cooked or served to us. Note that you can't really see the cooking happening in the private room as it happens in the corner, not at the table.

Incredible date night experience yesterday; we were seated quickly and efficiently. Once we ordered, our food was so quick to arrive and SO delicious. The onion salad was one of the appetizers and so tasty and light. I also really enjoyed the bean sprouts and greens. There was even a scoop of yam in honey if you needed a hint of sweet. Our meat was cooked to perfection and so delicious; we got the Small Beef Package which was plenty for 2 people, initially wanted Nubiani package but it was advised for 4. I had a delicious glass of Cabernet and to top it off, they serve complimentary ice cream to finish the meal. Ours was topped with an orange marmalade. Can't wait to come back and bring friends. Delighted by our experience.

Arrived with a dinner reservation for a Saturday at 5:30 and were promptly seated. We were brought upstairs which was quite a surprise as most of the lower level was yet unoccupied and there was only one other family seated on the second level in a single table alcove at the top of the landing; it looked cozy. We ordered the small beef package with soybean paste soup, the boneless short rib option as well as a squid and beef pancake. Within moments the banchan emerged - my favorite being the watercress. The pancake was yummy The table space here is generous in contrast to their Koreatown location - enough to comfortably fit all the banchan, appetizers and entrees at once. I recommend the midtown location if you're looking for a more lively vibe and don't mind being seated in closer proximity to neighboring patrons. Their Midtown East location is more intimate with wide, deep tables and seats that make you feel like there's room to breathe. Now for the meats. Skirt steak- - cooked to a medium rare perfection. Tender and delicately salted Rib finger - enjoyed the grilled flavor but there were hard sinewy parts that made it difficult to swallow Fresh Grates were swapped in Boneless Short rib - medium yet still perfectly juicy Seasoned short rib - must have been marinated for longer this time around because it needed a bit of rice to mellow out the intensity. This was my absolute FAVORITE piece on my last visit. I was blinded by Heaven's white lights with each chew. It has since been replaced by the original short rib. More on this in a bit. The meal was rounded off with complimentary soft serve (vanilla?) topped with marmalade. Me gusta. Afterthoughts: 1. Ventilation really good even on the second floor. Meat cools very quickly and we found out the hard way they should be consumed within 2-3 minutes of coming off the grill or they'll turn into hard & less than appetizing ice cubes (experience may differ in the warmer months) 2. It might be a good idea to strategize the order of consuming dishes. I tend to get "salted out" easily in my old age and noticed consuming too much of the fermented soybean soup affected my enjoyment of the marinated meat. Enough that even rice and lettuce couldn't save it. 3. My favorite cuts in order: Boneless short rib, Skirt steak, and Seasoned short rib

Make your reservations ahead of time esp on Fridays and weekends. It's very large and spacious with 2 levels but you'll see that the large tables are very wide and ample space apart. An ideal place to invite a group of friends. Service is first and foremost the best thing about this place. Jenny K. was amazing, explained everything and gave us spot on recommendations based on what we liked. Instead of pushing us toward the packages, she gave us recommendations for her top choices and we ended up being stuffed. Marinated short rib and seasoned short rib were both beautifully marbled, and I'm telling you - THE MEAT CRUMBLES IN YOUR MOUTH, as if you hardly have to chew it. The banchan was very good, and they constantly refill them without even having to ask. Even your water and plates, grill are being changed after every meat is cooked. Pajeon (shrimp and chive) was very good. Somewhat oily, but ok. We got the Red Monkey makgeolli, $40, they have a variety of price points for soju and liquor from $20-90+. They give you a very rich soft serve/custard at the end which was a nice touch. Bathroom was clean. Love the soap and lotion. You'll also find mouthwash packets there which was very useful as well. It was about $100 per person, but worth it. Celebrating my last week in NYC, a bittersweet time but I'm so happy we found this place.

Ambiance is extremely upscale and nice, servers are really friendly, and the side dishes are really good. However, pretty disappointed in the meat quality and the food given the steep price point. FOOD: Nubiani Package (4/10) - Every piece of meat was really dry and tough, even though the meat wasn't overcooked. For it's price point, really disappointing Seafood Pancake (6/10) - Better than the meat, but still not that great! Perillo Oil Buckwheat Noodle (7/10) - Best thing we had here, so feels slightly disappointing given it is a KBBQ restaraunt.

The food was amazing!!!!! The meat lovers will definitely enjoy this place. Cook to perfection, juicy, tender, delicious . The service was amazing as well. I wish they would be open till later, and did have longer table limit time. 2 hours for a big party is not enough ((( This is THE BEST Korean barbecue in the city.

The food was pretty decent here. We got the small beef package and the shrimp chive pancake. For the banchan, we enjoyed the kimchi, tomatoes, mushrooms, and the sweet potatoes. The meats weren't bad though our grill was broken so we couldn't watch the meats get cooked - the chef had to cook them across the room. The meal ended with vanilla soft serve ice cream, which I enjoyed. Over all, pretty decent but just lacked the "wow" factor. And my husband was disappointed with the service.

Second time here, and it's amazing. Shocked that there's no reviews for this location. The staff is super attentive, food is amazing, and ventilation is top notch. Do you usually smell like food and smoke after Korean bbq? Not here, you won't. The prices are reasonable and you're definitely going to leave full. We went with the Nubiani combo which has both pork and beef for two. We could've easily fed 3-4. Highly recommend.

It was easy to secure a reservation on Resy, and we were seated despite our full party not being present. The waiter was nice enough to hold off on cooking until our third, who was running late, showed up. We had counter seats, which felt nice and intimate. The soybean stew was good--not too salty. The sweet potato was my favorite side dish; it was the perfect amount of sweetness and was very light. The large beef package left the 3 of us satisfied. The marinated short ribs were the best part of the meal. If you love Korean side dishes and restaurants with nice ambiance, then your visit will be worth it.

We genuinely wanted to like this place--we made our reservation weeks in advance with high hopes--but the experience was a disappointment from start to finish. To begin with, we were inexplicably seated in a cramped back corner of an otherwise empty restaurant, directly next to the only other occupied table. Our reservation was at 5 PM, so I wasn't expecting a full house, but really--was it necessary to cluster the only two parties together like that? The other diners visibly bristled when asked to move their backpacks so we could squeeze in next to them, making for an awkward and unpleasant start. When I politely asked if we could move to one of the many visibly empty two-top tables in another locations, our server claimed the entire restaurant was booked and would be full "momentarily." Spoiler: it never was. By the time we left, which was exactly an hour later, the restaurant was maybe half full. Ironically, one of the better tables was eventually occupied by the manager's friends, which tells you everything you need to know about how they prioritize guests. As for the food--it was mediocre at best. We ordered both the marinated (yangnyeom galbi) and unmarinated (ssaeng galbi) short ribs. If you prefer your meat on the chewier side, you might find this passable. But compared to the far superior options in Manhattan, this didn't come close. The banchan were decent, with the notable exception of the kimchi, which was forgettable. Then there was the service--well-intentioned but incredibly intrusive. The server remained stationed at our table for the entire meal, grilling our meat without ever stepping away. While I appreciated her attention to cooking, having someone hover over us the whole time made it nearly impossible to enjoy a private conversation. It felt less like dining out and more like eating under surveillance. In short, this restaurant failed to deliver on every front: poor seating decisions, unimpressive food, and awkward service. We won't be returning. $200 for 2 ppl, which I did not find unreasonable or the amount of food we ordered.

Food: Ordered the small beef plate + pork jowl. Just the 2 of us. A small plate portion was perfectly enough food for the both of us. We took some of the remaining beef and pork jowl home. Absolutely delicious cooked meats. Service: Amazing attentive servers. All super friendly and polite. Water refills on deck. Ambiance: Way less cramped than the other location. Will be coming here for Nubiani fix. They have a very nice private room upstairs for bigger parties too. Highly recommend! PS 10% off if you pay Cash

I always speak very highly of Nubiani and recommend it to everyone that visit. I went there on Christmas Eve with family visiting from California. The service and the food were a miss to say the least. The server who cooked our meat looked like she didn't want to be there, giving us very cold shoulders. Another server overcooked our marinated galbi which was sad cuz that was usually my favorite piece. Overall I felt very embarrassed that I overhyped this place and my family was disappointed with their experience.

We visited Nubiani's newer location to celebrate a friend's birthday. We had a great experience and really enjoyed the cuts of meat. The beef package for the table was excellent and we also supplemented our order with Korean pancakes and noodles. There was definitely more than enough food to feed five of us even without the additional sides. The orange soft serve was the perfect way to end the meal. Nubiani is definitely up there among the upscale Korean dining experiences. The only thing that could have made the experience better is if more drinks were available. However, we came relatively soon after opening and I believe they did not yet have the bar ready.

got the nubiani package with kimchi stew, shrimp pancake, and spicy cold noodle. nubiani package - for 6 ppl it was decently cost effective for the quality of the meat and the upscale nature of the restaurant, nothing was super standout but also not too bad either shrimp pancake - very crispy but a bit bland spicy cold noodle - good noodle texture but the sauce wasn't spicy at all and a bit too sweet banchans - not necessarily the most authentic but really good nonetheless, loved the yam!! some pretty unique ones that I haven't tried elsewhere overall, for being almost on par with cote in terms of a fancier vibes for a slightly lower meat quality but much better price, I think this is a better bang for your buck of a "nicer" kbbq place

I view this place as uncommonly good. The costs align with the standards maintained. The workers deliver consistently excellent assistance. The look inside was attractive. Top rating for the outstanding dining and professional workers.

I love Korean BBQ and this is one of the better ones in town. High quality meat and interesting side options make this a must visit. We had the Nubiani plate which was enough for 4 people although we over ordered a bunch of sides. I would highly recommend the beef tartar and shrimp and chives pancake as a side.

After my disappointing trip to COTE, I was searching for a high end KBBQ experience and I'm so glad someone recommended Nubiani! I've been to both the Ktown location and Midtown East. I prefer midtown East even tho it's farther bc it had a nice date night ambiance. Mood lighting and more intimate/quieter. Food is AMAZING! We got the Nubiani package that includes both beef and pork options. Next time I would do just beef since I'm not a huge fan of pork. We added the boneless short rib and that was good too! Egg soufflé is amazing!! Perilla oil buckwheat noodle was ok, I like Hojokban's more. Banchan was great and unlimited (unlike COTE like wtf, what kbbq place doesn't have unlimited banchan??) Free ice cream at the end is yummy and sweet! Service at both places was a 10/10! We went to the Ktown location with a sesame/avocado/nut allergy and they were super helpful and careful! Didn't have a single flare up and was able to enjoy multiple dishes! Sooo happy that Nubiani exists. Kicked COTE's ass imo. I highly recommend! Tip: There's a discount if you pay cash and they have an ATM on prem that has $0 fees. Tip #2: Mouthwash in the bathroom is a game changer!

How to lose returning customers 101 -give 1.5 hour time limit so you can't fully enjoy your meal -servers don't know how to manage their time to make the 1.5 hour time limit make any sense -server to take their sweet time cooking the proteins and only then to start packing it for togo before the 1.5 hour time limit while the party was still eating -pressures the party to leave the table so they can start cleaning up for the next table without even finishing service. We explained that the party was still waiting for the ice cream but they told us to get the ice cream at the bar =_= the audacity.. -get treated like you're at a fast service joint while charging 10x pricing -time limit was at 8:30pm and the server started packing the food before 8:30pm and kicked us out We got the Nubani combo and it is their signature combo set so they should probably reconsider their unreasonable time limit since the server takes their time cooking the proteins and especially with pork you can't undercook it. The server arranges the meats very nicely which is a nice touch but their time limit doesn't give your customers to actually enjoy their food. Do you expect your customers to shove their food into their mouth within seconds of the server serving the cooked meats? Super tacky service for such an upscale looking restaurant . They would definitely never get a Michelin star considering how their service is trash kicking out the customers as soon as they receive the payment and didn't even serve the dessert then to tell us to grab the dessert from the bar/entrance area. =_= If you want to feel super rushed to leave the minute they finish cooking your proteins and get treated like you're at a tacky fast service food joint then this is the place for you! Food was decent but the servers here are poorly trained and obviously management does not care about customer retention or customer service.

I've been to this location a few times and I've gotta say the food is not always the most consistent (unlike the Midtown East location). Definitely a different ambiance than the other location but the staff are just as friendly and accommodating! Would be a great date night spot :)

I haven't had such a good experience with Korean bbq since Cote in 2021. The amount of food you get, unlimited banchans, the killer kimchi soup, which stole the show for me, and then the meats were amazing. The meat all seem to be of USDA prime grade at least. My favorite cuts were the marinated short ribs, and just marinated cuts in general. I was not as much of a fan of the ribeye and short rib that did not have marinade, but you can still make it tasty with the scallions, gochujang and other toppings. To my pleasant surprise, they give you wasabi as a topping, which I love. I've always thought wasabi and fatty steak was an underrated pairing, and I'm glad they pulled it through. For $245 the feast of four should feed people plenty. It's a really good experience, the pace has definitely improved from opening week it sounds like, and I really enjoyed my meal. Will definitely consider coming back.

All style no substance - a beautiful space let down by a limited menu and lackluster experience. The menu is limited with just a handful of appetizers and no cocktails at all. I understand many KBBQ spots do not carry liquor but it does not make sense that you can order a $650 bottle of wine but there is no liquor option at all. The meat itself is delicious. There is clearly care behind the selections. The meat is tender and the flavors are clean and rich. The real let down was the service which became increasingly bizarre as the meal progressed. My party of 5 booked a 9PM reservation. It should have been a telling sign when we asked for ice water and the waitstaff acted like no one ever objected to drinking lukewarm tap. After much negotiating we were each brought a small cup with 3 ice cubes in each and set about ordering. We ordered by 915 and said that we would like to start with the large meat platter (5 cuts at around $250). By 945 we were into the 3rd meat and it was clear we would need to order more. When we informed the server we were told the kitchen closes at 930 (on a Saturday?! For a 9PM reservation?!) - the first we were told of this. We asked the manager to assist and his solution was to welcome us to order drinks. I'm not sure if he meant for us to wash down kimchi with red wine until closing time but we were served food for a total of 45 minutes and left hungry. In addition the Banchan were never refilled without waiving over a server and our dirty plates remained on the table while the complimentary ice cream was served. I personally don't know a KBBQ at any price point with lazier service let alone one that tries to present itself as a luxury option. There is no reason I can think of to come back here. This lacks the refinement of Cote and the soul of the myriad options in Korea town. Skip this - the hype is not real. *useful information if you come here for some reason* - kitchen closes at 930 - 10% discount for cash - small cup of vanilla soft serve as complimentary desert - no liquor only beer, wine, and soju - no bottled water only tap and no ice without begging

Had a great time last night with friends! First time eating here for all but one and a first time KBBQ experience for one. The wait staff was soo attentive and friendly. The server definitely knew how to upsell but kept it entertaining and light. We walked out spending about $100 each but well worth the experience. We lucked out with a near private table but the rest of the restaurant was much more packed than we are. Still very great ambience throughout. Can wait to go again!!

4.5 stars Loved and recommended the other location so had to try this one. I waited a bit since some of the reviews were very mixed but we had to experience it ourselves. We made a reservation on Resy... since it was holiday season, some stores closed much earlier than we anticipated. We went to the restaurant 30 mins before our reservation but the host was able to seat us after just waiting a few mins. We got to sit at a table for 4 even though it was just the 2 of us. We were offered sparkling or still just like the other restaurant...it's great that this is free since we drink can a lot of water... and nobody pressured us to order alcohol. We were confused at the bad reviews since we were being treated so well. Our server was extremely nice. We told her we've been at the other location and obviously wanted to check out this one. She still explained everything to us and said the small beef would be enough for us but we went with the large one since we didn't want to order any pork and wanted to see how big the large one was exactly. With the banchan, steamed egg which we had 2, rice and all that meat.. omg. I was so full when we were just hallway done. The beef was very fresh and cooked perfectly medium and the marinated meats are cooked more. I think I enjoyed the food even more at this location. The Banchan wasn't as salty. The stew, the egg was very nicely seasoned. Luckily L is a ft taller than I am and can eat a lot. When it hit the 90 min mark, we weren't asked to go... we were asked if we wanted more Banchan refills...and yes all the tables in our section were full. Another server cooked our food since ours was also cooking at the table next to us. Even the young manager cooked our food at one point. Everyone was at least very efficient and not rude at all. So we didn't experience anything negative during our 2 hr time there and we even finished our ice cream. We spent $320 for 2 which is not cheap for an everyday meal but we prefer quality Korean bbq. There were even kids running around in the other section so a lot of families dine there as well. The area where we dined was very well lit while the other area might have been slightly darker so I liked our area better. We even finished our ice cream that's how nice the staff was, they did not stick to the 90 min. limit. Will definitely give a good recommendation to others...

Great Korean bbq with quality meats and service. We got a private room and it was big enough for 12 people. The servers are very attentive and in the private room, the meat is cooked at a separate counter so that you can enjoy the dining table with guests.

While a beautiful place the staff make it a terrible party place. The manager was rude and pushed alcohol, Especially a $400 bottle of wine. Our party was a Non drinking crowd but he persisted in the suggestion even though we told him this. The food was very good but the aggressive and aggravating manager was a Huge turn off. I do not recommend this place and the manager while handsome is a true jerk and bad for business. Go to Korea town skip And This place! Rude staff.

Probably the most tender beef I have ever had. And the most flavorful pork. Complimented by an amazing soju. All were personal recommendations of our server, she was right on the money with her choices. And I just love the ambiance, very chill and modern.

Food was very good but service did not meet the same standard. We were also practically pushed out without the appropriate amount of notice about the table needing to turn over. It was quite rushed at the end which soured the experience. When charging premium prices, there are higher expectations.

Dined with my friends couple weeks ago. I honestly am still angry about our experience at this Midtown Nubiani. Most pretentious service, full of attitude from the moment you walk in till the moment you walk out. I think they need to take a hard look at what they are doing wrong. There are so many kbbq in the city, why would anyone want to dine where you still pay decent amount of money to get served good food & service but only thing they are serving is their vile attitude?

Been here twice and it was great both times. If you get the meat selection for 2 it's a lot of bang for your buck so come hungry!

This is the best Korean BBQ if ever had. The private room is awesome. The staff were awesome too. I highly recommend a group dinner at the upper east side location. A very good time.

Such a disappointment at our last dinner. We've visited this restaurant many times (both locations) and never experienced this before. There were four of us and we ordered a small beef package and 2 appetizers. Each of us also had a drink. This is what we order every time we've gone for 4 people. During this last dinner, they told us at the end of the dinner that we needed to order one more beef cut because in Resy (in the policies page) they state: "Due to high demand during our dinner service, we are unable to accommodate solo diners and require a minimum order of one cut of BBQ per person". They do NOT state this on their menu but their menu also states that a small package includes 4 cuts of beef: Boneless Short Ribs or Rib Eye, Skirt Steak, Rib Finger, Seasoned Short Ribs. Basically if we didn't order appetizers and just more beef we would satisfy this non sensical requirement that is hidden in their policies page. If you have a minimum per person JUST STATE THAT ON THE MENU. They eventually said we didn't have to order more (we didn't even finish what we ordered) to be nice. Sadly, not sure we'll come back because this was such a bad experience for all of us.

If you've enjoyed Nubiani in Koreatown, you'll love the Midtown East location even more. It offers a cozy yet high-end vibe with the same great food, exceptional service, and fair prices. Perfect for a refined Korean dining experience. Highly recommended!

The Midtown East location is quieter and more spacious than the Ktown location, with a better ambiance. The food and service were excellent! I visited with my mom, and it's a great spot for bringing family, adults, or friends.

Amazing service! Someone was cooking our meats the entire time and made sure our banchans were always refilled. The quality of the meats were really good and the packages of the meats were of good value. We feel like the quality was way better than Cote. My friends and I (4 of us in total) shared a nubiani package and it was more than enough food. We even got a cold noodle but we were too full to finish. Love this place!
