A Las Vegas Powerhouse Duo Goes Off-Strip With Nudo Italiano | Eater Vegas

"Opening in late May in Southern Highlands, this relaxed suburban Italian from the Morton Group is led by William DeMarco (the culinary director behind the group's Strip outlets) and emphasizes handmade pasta, house-baked breads and Neapolitan-style pizzas fired in a traditional wood-burning oven — highlighted by a diavola topped with mozzarella, spicy sopressata and Calabrian chili. The menu leans on classic Italian comfort: crispy calamari with lemon aioli, a heaping pappardelle in veal ragu finished with sheep’s milk ricotta, and pan-roasted branzino over eggplant purée. The dining room is cozy with a bar and outdoor patio, trading Strip-side sheen and sweeping-view theatrics for casual, neighborhood dining; it will be open daily starting at 4 p.m. The owners present the project as a response to Southern Highlands’ rapid growth and local demand." - Janna Karel

Las Vegas’s Most Anticipated Restaurant Openings, Summer 2024 | Eater Vegas

"Heading to Southern Highlands in fall 2024, I note that Jenna and Michael Morton’s Morton Group will open Nudo Italiano as their first Las Vegas neighborhood restaurant focused on pasta, Neapolitan pizza, and fresh-baked bread; it’s intended to be more family-friendly and casual than their earlier Nove Italiano at the Palms, with a classic menu led by longtime Morton Group executive chef William DeMarco." - Janna Karel

Las Vegas’s Most Anticipated Restaurant Openings, Spring 2024 | Eater Vegas

"I’m pleased to see Morton Group founders Jenna and Michael Morton opening a neighborhood restaurant in Southern Highlands that focuses on pastas, Neapolitan pizza, fresh-baked bread, and woodfire cooking; it will be a more family-friendly, casual counterpoint to their nightclub-adjacent Nove Italiano from the early 2000s, with a classic menu led by longtime Morton Group executive chef William DeMarco." - Janna Karel

It’s a highly praised and recommended local gem in the neighborhood, and we finally tried it out for dinner with a party of 8. We all loved their pizzas, especially the carbonara pizza. But we were all slightly disappointed about the pastas. We had mezzi rigatoni and mezzi spaghetti, the sauce and flavor were good, but the spaghetti was a bit undercooked. Our grandpa who had mezzi rigatoni with extra meatball and coke gave out all the food that night, but the rest of us were totally all good. Pappardelle was good, along with the pizza, would be our recommendations to try here. Calamari was a pleasant highlight among other dishes. Burrata is mediocre with well-seasoned cherry tomatoes. The desserts were what I was excited about. The gelato.trio comes with pretty presentation. But the Dubai chocolate cake didn’t live up to its hype, unfortunately. The restaurant is with good vibes with nice bar and open kitchen. Definitely great for hanging out with drinks. Loved the hanging chairs by the bar, nice for pictures. Our waitress is nice, but we all felt uncomfortable that she kept making assumptions and decisions for us. We have a child in the party, and she brought out his pasta without bails and cheese because her own children don’t like them. But our little guess loves vegetables and cheese. The nine year old had to ask the waitress to provide whatever is supposed to be on the menu. Not a bad local restaurant, but we all felt it doesn’t give us the impression what we expected.

Amazing and authentic Italian restaurant in Las Vegas! The pasta was fresh, the sauces were rich, and every dish tasted like true homemade Italian food. The trendy atmosphere and romantic vibe make it a perfect date night restaurant. We loved the retractable floor-to-ceiling windows, which gave us a beautiful open-air dining experience, perfect for a warm Las Vegas summer night. The host was welcoming, the service was excellent, and the entire experience felt five-star. We’re looking forward to making this our go-to Italian spot in Las Vegas!

Worth visiting....both food and service were good. The pistachio cake was my favorite! The pasta is homemade and the lemon chicken was very fresh. The other food was also a hit. Would definitely return!

Nudo Italiano is a beautiful new addition to the local dining scene, tucked conveniently off Cactus Avenue with plenty of parking available. As we walked in, we were greeted by a warm and friendly hostess who seated us right away, even on a busy Saturday evening, we did have reservations, I recommend making it specially for the weekend. The restaurant’s interior is stylish and inviting, a perfect blend of modern and cozy. Plush brown leather chairs, elegant booths, and striking star shaped ceiling lamps against a black painted ceiling create a chic, sultry atmosphere. The open kitchen showcases a gorgeous pizza oven, and the sleek bar adds to the restaurant’s vibrant charm. It was a glorious day, and with the large doors open to let in a gentle breeze, the ambiance felt simply perfect. To start, we were treated to a complimentary appetizer, stuffed bell peppers and pecorino cheese, absolutely delicious. The menu is thoughtfully curated, not overly large but with a great variety of dishes and an appealing cocktail selection. For drinks, we ordered The Godfather and a glass of Riesling. The Godfather, made with Johnnie Walker Black, amaretto, and chocolate bitters, was strong, smooth, and expertly balanced — one of the best I’ve had. We started our meal with the focaccia bread, which was warm, soft, and delightfully crisp on the outside, a perfect portion for two. For our entrées, we chose the mezzi rigatoni (which the kitchen happily prepared with marinara sauce instead of the creamy version) and the bucatini with shrimp scampi. Both were outstanding. The marinara was rich and flavorful, while the bucatini was perfectly al dente, the shrimp tender and well seasoned, with just the right touch of spice. Our server, Jenny, was wonderful… professional, charming, and genuinely attentive. She made sure we had everything we needed and added to the overall pleasant experience. To finish, we shared the pistachio cake, which was light, fluffy, and not overly sweet, a perfect ending to a lovely meal. We loved Nudo Italiano so much that we’re already planning to return with our family this weekend. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel at home while delivering an exceptional dining experience, a spot we’ll definitely be visiting again and again.

This neighborhood sorely needs more restaurants, and I had high hopes for Nudo Italiano. I really wanted to rate this newer place higher than a 3+ but for me the positives and the negatives canceled each other out. Maybe if I had a gotten a pasta dish or one of their pizzas I could have pushed the food rating higher. On the way out, I had a past a table and the pizza did look amazing. * Starting off, they did have a nice heavy poor bar and decent wine choices. * Their Antipasti is a MUST HAVE with a nice selection and extremely generous the price. * But sadly, I was somewhat disappointed with both the Chicken Parmesan and the "Veal" (subbed for the chicken) Francese. I do have to say that it was very kind of N.I. to sub the chicken for the veal (I honestly don't remember if there was an up-charge). It could have been the cut of meat or possibly a critical misstep by insufficiently pounded it out in preparation which left the veal rather tough (I experienced the same issue with the chicken). Although, the bed of linguine underneath was cook & seasoned perfectly and a reason I would come back for pasta and give them another try. .

We live down the street and have been wanting to try Nudo. Our first time her exceeded our expectations. We were promptly seated and served drinks. Bryan our waiter was very courteous and respectful and delivered service that is hard to find these days. We had the pepperoni pizza and gnocchi. The food was amazing and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was comfortable and inviting. We will be back.

Last night we went to Nudo for the first time and we will definitely be back! Tony provided us with excellent service! We started with the calamari and the focaccia - so good! I had the salmon and my husband had the lemony chicken and both were so flavorful. We finished it off with the "spaghetti and meatballs" dessert and it was one of my favorite desserts ever! Our food all came out pretty quickly but it didn't feel like a rushed experience - perfect date night!

Super excited for a new italian restaurant in the area. I really like the atmosphere here and the fact you can see in the kitchen area is really neat. I was able to try the Limoncello Spritz and the Italicus Spritz. I usually lean towards sweet drinks, but I preferred the Italicus. This was very unique and very herbal, super refreshing! We had the Bruschetta appetizer, but it is not the normal bruschetta since it had no tomatoes. It came with whipped burrata, fig jam and prosciutto. This was all very tasty, but wasn't served with slices of bread so a little more difficult to assemle/eat. I would also like to have more pieces of bread for the appetizer as a whole. For dinner I had the Pipe Rigate which was extremely good! The pasta is made fresh daily and you can tell. It came out really hot and nice portion size. For dessert I had the "Spaghetti and meatballs" which was cheesecake with strawberry sauce and chocolate ganache truffles. The cake was not overly sweet and paired very well with the sauce and whipped cream. Overall, we will definitely be back!

Yelp
I've been coming here about ten times now, and every single visit I'm always impressed by the exceptional service from Brian and Mandy. They are consistently attentive, friendly, and genuinely make you feel welcomed. Their professionalism, great attitude, and attention to detail always elevate my experience. I truly appreciate the care they put into their service every time. They are a big reason why I keep coming back

Yelp
My friend recommended this restaurant and I was really excited to try it with her. The restaurant looks beautiful inside. It is definitely a great date night spot or a place for a special occasion. They started us off with some tasty amuse bouches: cheese stuffed peppers, parmesan, and a pickled onion. All of them were delicious, but the onion was my favorite. We ordered the focaccia, which was light and fluffy with a perfectly crispy exterior. It paired very well with the olive oil on the table. For our entrées, we ordered the bucatini and the branzino. Both were outstanding. The bucatini was perfectly al dente and the sauce was buttery, garlicky, and lemony. It was delicious with the perfectly cooked shrimp. The branzino was moist, flaky, and well seasoned, and it paired beautifully with the broccoli and tomatoes. I really enjoyed both dishes. For dessert, we tried the "spaghetti and meatballs." The cheesecake was incredibly fluffy and creamy and it was such a fun and tasty way to end the meal. Service was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive and we loved the water service, since they offer still or sparkling at no extra charge. I am excited to come back and try more dishes.

Yelp
The service by Tony was superb!!!! It's our first time here and thanks to our daughter's recommendation, we tried it here for the first time. The place is very classy and the ambiance is cozy. The highlight of course is the food. There was some complimentary appetizers like chili with cheese inside, cut cheese and small pickled onions and all were very delicious. My husband and I ordered the Salsiccia pizza and Tony suggested the Bucatini -shrimp scampi. We did come in hungry and was stuffed after we finished our food. It was both scrumptious and we were happy we tried to eat here. Next time we will try others and make room for dessert. Sorry no picture because we ate our food right away.

Yelp
Never been here before, we ordered for carry-out. We ordered two pizzas, the Diavalo and the Prosciutto. Very flavorful and nice chewy crust. Caesar salad was very good. We also had the meatballs and the sauce was really good! Overall food was tasty but unfortunately our takeout was cold. We literally live 3 minutes away and we were told to pick up at 5:53, which we did, but food was already cold. We will definitely be back but hope to eat in the restaurant next time. (Sorry pictures are of 1/2 eaten pizza! )

Yelp
We went to Nudo Italiano for a birthday celebration. The service was prompt, friendly and efficient. Our meals were served quickly and everyone in our group was pleased with their selection. The polpetta appetizer was excellent. We also enjoyed the lasagna, as well as the pappardelle pasta with veal ragu, pancetta and ricotta.

Yelp
So I came here on a recommendation from someone who can be a pretty hash critic so I was a bit surprised that my experience was not better. I was surprised to find a very cute, contemporary restaurant in an unassuming strip mall on a very quiet street. We had reservations on a Sunday and were seated quickly. With about half the restaurant being full. Service was great. We were greeted promptly and water was brought to us immediately. Our server was nice, gave recommendations, but also didn't hover and gave us our space to catch up. Here are my thoughts on the food: Foccacia: (4/5) good but slightly oily Calamari: (5/5) I usually don't order calamari but so glad we did. It was full of flavor and super fresh. Crudo: (3/5) I was not a fan of the sauce that came on it. It was sweet and i didn't think it paired well. Diavola Pizza (4/5): the crust was perfectly cooked and the pizza had a nice kick to it! Pipe Rigate (3/5): pasta was perfect cooked and great texture but the dish was bland and didn't have a ton of flavor Mezzi Rigatoni (3/5): same as the pappardelle, pasta was perfectly cooked but I barely tasted the cheese or even the pepper Pappardelle (4/5): this dish had more flavor than the rest but I still felt that it was bland Tiramisu (3/5): even the tiramisu was bland. Not enough espresso flavor or even sweetness Overall, I'm a bit surprised by the lack of flavor because of the rave reviews I had gotten. Perhaps it was an off night. I would maybe try it again especially since the pasta itself was great with the perfect texture.

Yelp
Friends have eaten here many times and recommended it highly. They were right!!! Tucked away in strip mall - a bit hare to find but makes parking pretty easy. Really lovely ambiance. Service was also really good. My wife and I decided to share the Italiano salad ($16) and the Funghi pizza ($17). The salad was good but the pizza was really outstanding!!! A bit of a shlep for us but I will be back for another pizza and to try one of the other entrees.

Yelp
This place is a must try. The atmosphere, the services and the food are absolutely fantastic. We have been a few times now since is the new place in our neighborhood and every time we walk away happy about our choice. Their portions are perfectly sized and their prices are affordable. A special thanks to Josue and Genevieve for always making us feel welcomed and for all the recommendations.

Yelp
Roll me out to my car, I'm stuffed! Our server Yeyro was great. He helped us make some decisions when we were torn between dishes. The food was amazing! We will be back. Loved the ambiance and seating. They have booths, tables with comfy chairs and patio seating. The weather was nice out so they had the stacking walk of windows open.

Yelp
First time at this relatively new establishment, which opened its doors a mere 4 months ago... it's the same group behind crush American grill, amongst other great places. My guest and I arrived for our reservation at 6:15 yes on a Wednesday night and by 6:45., the restaurant was at over 50% capacity, which tells me that it must do quite well on the weekends. It would make for a great date place! We were sat in a comfy banquet high top adjacent to the bar. The booth had comfy throw pillows. The color palette is filled with earthy warm tones - clay brown, tan, burnt orange, cream, sage green; amongst others... it's giving warm Tuscany vibe In addition to having a see thru kitchen, all the pasta is had made in house. In the table was a phenomenal delicious olive oil! Absolutely loved all the plateware and flatware selections meticulously through out and supremely cohesive. For the Best focaccia bread I've ever had hands down! Rosemary flavored with a crispy top layer and spongy interior! Calimari was one of the best I've ever had. Crunchy and tender, served with marinara and an incredible lemon aioli sauce. The salmon dish was served atop a lemon thyme risotto. The chicken came atop house-made pasta with lemon butter. Bill for 2 was $120 including tip, but that's without drinks. The quality of food was really outstanding. My key take away is that service needs to improve.... I believe this is a result of the establishment being opened very recently. With additional training of the FOH staff this place will be a must go location!

Yelp
Glad to have a solid Italian restaurant on this side of town so that I don't have to go far. My favorites were the prosciutto pizza and the branzino. The steak was better than expected but I enjoyed the other two more. The calamari and pistachio cake were also great. I didn't care too much for the broccolini, risotto, or gemelli. They like to use a lot of the sweet peppers in their dishes. A little too sweet for me.

Yelp
Nudo is an absolute gem!! I am so happy they opened in the neighborhood. Everything from the service to the food was beyond exceptional. We started with the house bread, Caesar salad and baked clams which were all phenomenal. After the appetizers, we moved on to the branzino and pipe rigate. The crisp of the branzino skin was absolute perfection and our pasta was cooked beautifully al dente. To round out our meal we also ordered the broccolini which had a wonderful char and little kick of spice. To finish the meal, we had to end on a sweet treat and the tiramisu is TO DIE FOR!! I can't say enough good things about my experience at Nudo and I can't wait to come back

Yelp
My wife suggested we finally try this place since she wanted to go out and celebrate the anniversary of our engagement. It was around 7 when we arrived and only had to wait a few minutes to be seated. The interior is nice and cozy, but the real reason to come is the food. We ordered calamari which had a lemon sauce and a spicy marina. That was pretty good. We ordered a caesar salad, which for $13 was just ok. Lettuce, dressing and some finely grated breadcrumbs. The rigatoni and shrimp scampi were very good. Overall a decent place that we will return to and try something else. We did get a beer and a glass of wine and the bill with tax was just under $100.

Yelp
We live down the road and this has been on our list since it opened. We had the burrata, pollo francese, and mezzi rigatoni. The burrata (essentially a caprese) was fantastic. We loved the tomatoes being slightly cooked. It put a great flair on this dish. The pollo francese was also delicious. We loved the pasta in this dish. Last was the mezzi rigatoni. All the pastas are handmade here but the pasta in this dish felt a little too chewy (and to be clear, we love an al dente pasta). The portion sizes are great but we were too full to try the dessert menu. Next time, we will try pizzas and dessert! We sat at the bar since we didn't have a reservation. I love the wood at the bar. The bartenders were on top of it and service was great. The whole vibe is cool and casual here and we love the look. This is definitely our favorite SoHi restaurant and we will be back.

Yelp
Limoncello Spritzer was my drink goal for this Saturday night. I notice our new neighborhood restaurant offered it. In choosing an appetizer, I had the Baked Clams with roasted peppers and pancetta which was very good, with just the right amount of batter. I thoroughly enjoyed the vibe of the restaurant, modern yet cozy, takes you away from the hot and messy summer weather. The employees were very friendly. Our server was accommodating and knowledgeable, adjusting to my dietary restrictions for the evening. I also sampled the Pepperoni Pizza with vodka sauce and honey. I'll be back to try the rest for sure!

Yelp
4/5 stars: Food overall was really good! The meatballs, chicken, noodles and bread were amazing. The steak was good, but a bit gristly. The Caesar salad wasn't very good. 2/5 stars: The service was really slow, almost bad for us. The waiter kept forgetting things, he didn't check on us, and took about 10 minutes after we were seated to even greet us. We had to ask for new plates after apps after he cleared them and said he'd get them. 4/5 stars: Ambiance was ok, a bit noisy for me after it filled up for the evening. 3/5 stars: Prices were ok for the portion sizes. We will give it another go to try the pizza since it looked good.

Yelp
This is becoming one of my favorite spots in town mainly because I think the price point is good and that means a lot in today's spending climate. Nudo is a new Italian spot in southern highlands and very much feels like a neighborhood spot but also feels elevated. It feels like you can come after a walk with the family, grab drinks, have a date night, or celebrate a special occasion all at the same restaurant. I think the priciest thing is a New York steak or some kind of steak around $40/$45 dollars. They have solid Neapolitan style pizzas starting at $17. They are actually really good and a good size and a good amount of toppings. Pastas are in the $17-$22 range. And the entrees are around $30 ish dollars give or take a couple bucks. When you go it feels like their team put some money into it because it's modern, decor is clean, the bar is nice. It has an open kitchen and I remember seeing a huge wood fire oven or something similar. It was all just really impressive. Also, the food is good. The pizzas, pasta, steak, appetizers. The day I went service was a bit slow but nothing to mark off and overall my family and I were just really impressed by the whole package of what Nudo is. Excited to go back and become regulars.

Yelp
We were looking for a new place to try for date night and chose Nudo since it was right down the street and brand new with all the buzz surrounding it. We made a reservation so we got seated quickly after checking in. The restaurant was very loud and lively, with very modern decor and ambiance. They have a smaller menu and emphasized on everything being freshly made daily. We got the calamari and focaccia bread for appetizer, and the rapini pizza, mezi rigatoni and broccolini to share. Food came quickly, and we could tell they were very freshly made. Everything was good, but definitely have room for improvement. The bread was a little too salty and the calamari was crispy on the outside but too soft on the inside. Pizza was flavorful but fell apart as soon as we picked the slices up. The pasta was our favorite, creamy and fresh and came in good portions. Our server was very nice and attentive, and consistently checked on us and everything we needed. We'll be back another time to check out the other items on their menu.

Yelp
We are missing a solid Italian spot in the southwest/Southern Highlands area and I think Nudo has the potential to be it, but isn't quite there yet. The interior is well decorated and seating is well-organized. The bar area is also great and offers a great variety of cocktails like old fashioneds, spritzes, and mocktails. I don't think there are many bars in this area of town with great cocktail options. The wine list, however, left some to be desired. It was a confusing mix of really basic options like Kim Crawford and Jordan, along with some solid options like Schramsberg blanc de blanc, etc. Now onto the food. The focaccia was excellent and a must get. We got the Caesar salad, which had great quality lettuce, but was too salty and lacked the umami of anchovies. The pizza margherita had a weird pool of oil on top and didn't have enough cheese, but the crust had great chew and the overall taste was really good. For entrees, we had the cacio e Pepe and chicken parm. The house made pasta was of fantastic quality and perfectly al dente, but didn't have enough sauce and pepper flavor. I actually ended up borrowing some of the chicken parm red sauce to accompany the pasta. The chicken parm was well-cooked and juicy, but the burrata that came on top felt disjointed. I also think Nudo goes a little too wild with the chiffonade basil, which was on a lot of our dishes. Personally not a fan of basil on cacio e Pepe, for example. For dessert, the tiramisu, with the cocoa powder and one layer (?) of the lady fingers kind of lacking in espresso, felt dry. Our server and busboys were friendly and didn't miss a beat. Food also came out at a great cadence. I think there are still some kinks to work out here, but really glad to have a solid Italian spot to fill the void in this area of town.

Yelp
We were excited to come and try this restaurant, especially since it's local. It's very young, only open for a couple days so we expected growing pains. Let's start with the good - it's a beautiful restaurant, well appointed and should do well for the area. The service was good, and no issues there. As far as the food, the salad was very good, the meatballs were excellent, best dish of the night. The branzino was average, the sausage was just ok. The two misses were the calamari (oily and overcooked), and the veal ragu pasta while cooked perfectly had very little flavor as well as veal. The calamari was removed from our bill so we were thankful. A couple things of note - the salad had a V next to it and the V key at the bottom meant vegetarian but it had salami in it. Is that by design, is it in error, or is salami considered vegetarian? We asked, but the bartender wasn't sure. I liked it, I'm not a vegetarian anyway! Last part is that they don't have a freezer for large ice cubes at the bar. That means on the 2nd drink I ordered my glass was taken away to the back for where I'm guessing the ice is kept. The drinks were good, but if it was a busy night that's a lot of running around for ice needed not kept at the bar. The pizzas that we saw looked really good, and we will return to try that once all the newness wears off.

I'm grading on a significant curve here due to the restaurant only being open for about three weeks when we ate there for Father's Day dinner as the service is very spotty but again they're still working out the kinks so I don't want to be too harsh. Our server Eddie was very nice and took the time to explain many of their signature dishes but he appeared to possibly have too many tables as it took a lengthy time to receive drinks and get the bill etc. We had 7:30 reservations for three (wife and adult son) and were seated promptly after checking in. The restaurant is decorated in a cool modern style with a huge open kitchen. I really liked the music they were playing as it included songs suitable for my middle-aged Gen X ears. We started with three appetizers - the focaccia, the meatballs and the Caesar salad. The meatballs were absolutely fantastic as they were super tender and flavorful in an unctuous marinara sauce. The focaccia was the perfect accompaniment for sopping up that sauce but was delicious on its own with a perfect spongy interior and salty crust. Both are highly recommended! The salad was tasty and very nicely dressed. They also serve a complimentary amuse bouche consisting of cheese-stuffed peppers, pickled vegetables and chunks of good quality Parmesano Reggiano. Nice touch! For entrees we ordered the cacio e pepe rigatoni, the garlic and pistachio linguine and the chicken Parmesan. The linguine was on the spicy side but still quite good and complimented the chicken parm nicely. The chicken itself had that delicious marinara and melted burrata mozzarella which worked really well. The rigatoni honestly could've used more flavor but was well-made. Really the only "miss" of all the dishes we ordered. For sides we had sauteed spinach and sauteed broccolini - both were delicious. We tried two desserts - the pistachio cake and the "spaghetti and meatballs" cheesecake. The pistachio cake was emulating the Dubai chocolate craze as it had a phyllo dough nest on top for some crunch and a chocolate drizzle. The cheesecake was made to look like spaghetti and meatballs as they extruded the whipped cream on top to make "noodles" and then drizzled raspberry reduction for the "sauce" and put a red sphere of white chocolate on top for the "meatball". Quite cute and creative! We really enjoyed both desserts. Dinner for three came to $189 before tip which included two glasses of wine and a soft drink. I thought that was a steal considering the quality of the food. Again they need to work out the service issues but I'm sure with time that'll happen and we'll definitely be back to give them another chance. I really hope this place makes it as they're in a bit of an odd location in Southern Highlands but we definitely need more quality restaurants in that area!!

Yelp
Made a reservation here for a birthday and they were pretty busy when we arrived around 6:30pm on a Monday night. It's a great little locals restaurant that just opened. Upon arrival, we were greeted quickly and waited for about 5 mins for them to get everything set up, even with a reservation. The entrance is a bit small as customers were leaving and we were entering in. The bar area was right by the entrance and there are booth areas on the other side. I do appreciate the open kitchen concept. It made it look modern and clean. After we were seated, our waitress, May Ling?, was friendly and greeted us with a smile and bubbly personality. She took our orders and answered any questions we had. We ordered some drinks, (sodas $6 each) and ordered some pastas since they're made In house. The pipe rigato and the rigatoni with the white sauce was pretty good. They were flavorful and a good portion. The chicken parm was a bit overcooked as the chicken was dry. The lemon chicken was bland as well. For dessert, May Ling recommended the Sphaghetti and meatballs, which was their dessert take on the dish, with a cheesecake with raspberry sauce and chocolate truffles. It was a good way to end the birthday dinner. Make sure you double check your orders when they give you your check. There was a mix up because they added extra drinks for every refill (by accident) considering that drinks are $6 each which is kinda pricey in my opinion. For everything including the drinks, we paid $171 (doesn't include tip). We would come back next time to try the pizzas. But nothing too special at the moment to catch our attention.

Yelp
What a delicious experience! Let's start with the ambiance. They have the whole indoor outdoor vibe going which really elevates the space. The restaurant itself is laid out nicely with a beautiful bar hanging out with friends. My husband and I went for dinner last night and he order an aperol spritz while I ordered a cocktail and both were surprisingly well balanced and delicious. The food was amazing as well. I always order the chicken piccata whenever it's available because I love that dish but they only had it in the veal version which is fine, but I wasn't in the mood for veal so I ordered the chicken francese and it did not disappoint! The chicken was tender and juicy, with just the right amount of egg. I do wish there was a little more of the lemon butter sauce, but overall, it was a great dish. My husband really enjoyed his Papardelle as well. We will definitely be coming back here again to try more stuff.

Yelp
Update: We dined over the weekend. Can I just say they have the best Dubai Chocolate Dessert? Their Bisteca Ala Florentina was also good, brought back memories of our trip to Florence. Pizza was better than the soft opening, it was lip smacking good. Gelatos-I highly suggest they change suppliers. Our friends told us my homemade pistachio gelato was way better. Calamari was pretty straight forward. Our friend liked her Branzino. Bucatini, was just okay. But overall vibe, was wonderful! We attended the soft opening of Nudo. What can I say? I'm glad they will be opening on Friday! SoHi needs more restaurants that have amazing ambiance, great food and friendly staff. As soon as you walk in, the hostess gave us a welcoming smile. Someone asked if we wanted an espresso martini. We tried some of their pastas, chicken parm, and pizza. I love their pizza! The crust and the balance of flavors were amazing! The chicken parm was straight forward. The pasta with Alfredo sauce was good, a bit on the peppery side. The next pasta with a tomato based sauce was also good. Both pastas were cooked just right. I think I liked the tomato based sauce just a bit more because it had some crunch to it. Their GM stopped by our table and chatted with us, and we were delighted to hear that they will be serving brunch!!! Congrats on a successful soft launch and welcome to the neighborhood, Nudo!

Yelp
It's so great having a new restaurant in Southern Highlands! We were pleasantly surprised by the ambiance when we approached the restaurant - it almost seems out of place for the area. The weather has been beautiful and the restaurant is completely open in the front, so it was lovely dining with the breeze coming through. I wish we took pictures of our food, but we were starving and dug in right away. We had the salsiccia pizza, Italian salad, and the pipe rigate pasta. The pizza was amazing - thin crust, perfect amount of toppings, and yummy dollops of ricotta. The salad was super light and zesty with the pepperoncini and olives. The pasta was perfectly al dente and the vodka sauce was so good. We also had the espresso martini and the italicus spritz. Both were so good! The servers were very attentive as well and made sure we never ran out of water and made sure our courses came out in a timely manner. Overall, we had a great experience and can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Everything was great! Ambiance, service, and the food! We can't wait to come back! Our waiter Tony was very friendly and gave great recommendations. Fresh pasta, flavorful sauce. The sausage was very good. Shrimp scampi and calamari tasted so fresh!

Yelp
I was excited when I found out another Italian restaurant was opening close to our home as the other one we love is always packed. Sadly, I was pretty disappointed in this place. We ordered the Mezzi Rigatoni and the Bruschetta. The prosciutto, burrata and fig honey for the bruschetta were all delicious but the bread was very oily. We could barely taste anything flavors in the Mezzi Rigatoni and the noodles were way past al dente, they were getting stuck in my teeth. The service was very slow but it was fairly busy so I chalked it up to that. The inside of the restaurant is clean and simple and there are a lot of tables and a bar you can also sit at.

Yelp
Oh my goodness, this restaurant is the hidden gem of the SouthWest area!! I went tonight with 3 other friends to celebrate a birthday. The service & the food was A++++++. I will definitely return!!!

Yelp
Amazing service from Eddie! We talked to the manager and he was very hospitable as well. Had dinner with my husband midweek to celebrate an anniversary. Restaurant was packed and busy, but regardless we were able to get a table in 5 minutes around 7:30pm. Hostess was friendly as she sat us, greeted us, and also wished us a goodnight when we left. The restaurant dining room is nice and open, they have booths and tables and you have option to sit at bar. There is also a view of the kitchen where all the action happens. Music was a little loud, but we were able to hold a conversation. For drinks, we just had water for the table regular but they have sparkling and bottled if you prefer that. My husband had a coffee flavored dark beer and I got a prosecco. They paired well with our dinner. For starters, we got a caesar salad and some calamari. The calamari was hot crispy and the sauces were perfect as the lemon aioli had a citrus creamy zing while the spicy marinara had a good kick! The server surprised us with a tasting sampler which had sweet peppers stuffed with cheese, some parmesan cheese, and pickled olives or onions which were so tasty! For our main entrees, my husband got the shrimp scampi and I got the Mezzi Rigatoni. Pasta was al denti and tasted like freshly made. I was so full, took half my rigatoni home and had them the next day and they were still delicious. Overall, if you are looking for a local spot in SW with quality italian food away from the strip with excellent service this is a wonderful choice! We didn't try their pizzas or other dishes, but will return to try some more. I definitely want some Tiramisu next time.

Yelp
Amazing all around. Started with the Crudo and Burrata with warm tomato; both 10/10. Followed by Pollo Francese in a lemon butter and Branzino over eggplant puree; both 10/10. Then it was time for dessert, peach cobbler pizza and pistachio cake. I first started on the cobbler because I'm not a fan of peaches. Absolutely amazing! The peaches weren't over powering as the ricotta balanced that. Then the bits of basil added a grounding to it but the dough! The dough was so good. Can't wait to be back and try a pizza. I thought for sure that the pistachio cake wasn't going to out do the cobbler but I was pleasantly surprised. I won't say that it was better than the cobbler but it was damn good!! I really can't decide which I liked better. YEYRO provided amazing service and I definitely can't wait to come back. 10/10 all around. Unfortunately I only took one picture. Thank you for an amazing meal. Until next time!!

Yelp
The food was great, the service was great. The place is beautiful. My only complaint is that when I made the reservation, I specifically said it was a birthday celebration, I mentioned it again to the manager who assured me that they would do something special, and then... Nothing A little disappointing, I must say.

Yelp
The food is ok for a neighborhood Italian spot, if you don't want to go to the Strip. Nothing terribly creative or ultra flavorful, just a solid restaurant with reasonable prices (at least for this current economy). We tried a variety of dishes -- the burrata salad, rigatoni, gnocchi, and the prosciutto pizza. The pasta was al dente, and my favorite was the gnocchi. The flavors from the pasta dishes are a bit muted, and the pizza was ok if you're not terribly picky. The crust is crispy. I'm glad I stopped in to try and support this local small business, but I don't see myself coming back again. I hope they do well for the Southern Highlands area!

Meatballs & Pizza were fabulous! We would definitely come back. We sat at the bar and service was wonderful as well.

Yelp
We made reservations (which I recommend, it was busy) for a Friday double date night. We were greeted, sat, and had our servers attention immediately. Two of us chose to start with Cosmo martinis, which were delivered looking dissimilar in color, with one missing a garnish, so there is some inconsistency with the bartending. Appetizers were bruschetta and calamari, both were solid choices- the calamari is accompanied by some pretty tasty sweet drop peppers. For entrees, I had the mezzi rigatoni (delicious), my friend chose branzino (which was just...fine), her hubby had the meatballs (delicious) and my husband had lasagne (very disappointing, he was expecting a traditional rustic lasagne but this one is very thin). So not total satisfaction with our main courses. After dinner we enjoyed a glass of wine from their nice selection and admired the decor- it has a very modern upscale casual vibe, with visual access to the kitchen, and they have a patio as well as a nice bar area. While the entrees were hit and miss on this visit, the atmosphere and the service were both pretty great.

Yelp
We tried this restaurant as a last minute dinner option. We were not disappointed at all. They got us in quickly. The food was delicious. My fiancé even said it reminded her of the food she had on a recent Italy trip. We will definitely be back here. The prices are amazing for a restaurant with ambiance this nice.

Yelp
Southern Highlands just got a serious upgrade. Nudo Italiano is right up there with the best Italian restaurants on the Strip, but without the chaos of Strip traffic or parking headaches. It's rare to find a place this refined and delicious on the south end of town, and clearly word is spreading fast. We had a 6:00 pm reservation and by 6:45 the place was packed. We started with the calamari, which came with both a lemon aioli and arrabbiata sauce. Both were outstanding in their own right. The addition of sweety drop peppers added a tangy pop that elevated the dish. For my main, I had the bucatini with shrimp scampi. The pasta was perfectly cooked with a subtle heat that didn't overpower the fresh shrimp. Just really well balanced. I also tried the vitello piccata (veal), and it was classic comfort done right. Tender, flavorful, and plated beautifully. The whole experience was polished yet cozy. It's lovely to see a quality, destination-worthy restaurant open up in Southern Highlands. Can't wait to go back, but definitely make a reservation. This place fills up fast.

Yelp
Kyle our bartender and who took care of us was amazing and excellent service! Food was amazing, the linguini with the pesto sauce was delicious and the Pappardelle had a unique flavor. And as far as the ambience setting it is great for all. You can make it social, romantic or a gathering, your choice. Great place for the locals.

Yelp
I liked this place quite a bit and will return. Homemade noodles, free taster amuse bouche. We got there at open and had very good service for a place that had been open for one week. It is a little bit on the expensive side but the plates were warm, food was very tasty, and noodles were perfectly cooked. You order your noodles and meat entree separately. There was plenty of food for two with appetizer, one noodle, and two entrees to share.

Yelp
For a new spot they really have it figured out. I would say the wait staff was too eager to clear empty glasses but excessive is better than the latter. Our server Tony was incredible, knowledgeable and accomendating. They still have a few kinks to work out, but what new place doesn't? The pizza crust was delicious! The gnocchi was a little sad and the texture was inconsistent but the feedback was well received. The dessert was incredible, I always love Tiramisu HOWEVER, the Pistachio Cake stole the show (it's served with a chocolate drizzle that I don't think it needs, it overpowers the cake). Great job Nudo staff, I'm excited to see this place flourish!

Yelp
Excellent experience. The restaurant is in the middle of 2 other italian places with 2 blocks but it stood out by having great service and fresh pasta. Overall a place that i will return to. I had the bucatini scampi and had it toned down a bit as i did not want it too spicy that evening. Next time i might try the full experience but i will probably be trying the pizza.

Yelp
We ordered three different entrées and they all have this fishy taste to them, but not one had any seafood in it. The service was good. I really hoped for the tood to be better since we live down the street and wanted it to be our new family spot. Slow service. I don't ever leaves don't EVER leave reviews, but this experience was that bad. I felt the need because a restaurant in a small community that | live in to help individuals in area looking for a reliable place to get a meal, this isn't it. Maybe it you treated every customer like you did your friends, you would find your business on the up and up. I'd never come back or recommend anyone to go here. Food avg and old fashioned tasted like some gross juice. I didn't ask for anything, and they removed the drinks off the bill because they knew the service they provided to us was unacceptable.

Yelp
We had such a great experience at Nudo thanks to our server, Bryan. He was super attentive, friendly, and made sure everything came out perfectly. He checked on us often without being overbearing and gave great recommendations from the menu. You can really tell he cares about giving guests a great experience. The food was delicious as always, but Bryan's service made the night even better. Definitely ask for him next time you go -- he's awesome!

Yelp
Overall great just a few growing pains. Chicken parmesan was SO flavorful just delicious! It was a bit odd for it not to be served with any pasta but still amazing. Kids menu was amazing. The cheese pizza was a full size! Only strange thing was the burgers said they came with mozzarella cheese but there was no cheese on it. Maybe a typo? Also the fries were undercooked. Kids were given crayons for kids but no paper to draw on? So my kids were upset. Pollo Fanchese was good... not amazing but decent. Pineapple vodka cocktail was good. Must like Pineapple. Atmosphere was perfect. Casual chic. Great service

Yelp
Great locals spot. Love the concept behind it as well. Eddie was a superb server, gave us menu details and background of the restaurant. Started the meal off with the focaccia with rosemary and pecorino- super fluffy. Followed it up with the bruschetta. This was more similar to a small charcuterie. Fantastic, the whipped burrata, prosciutto and fig jam go together on a great toast point. For our mains, we shared the linguine and added chicken, and the Salsiccia e Peperoni, broccolini as our side. Couldn't get enough of the sauce for the linguine, big pistachio fan! Salsiccia e Peperoni had a great spice level to it and a nice lower carb, gluten free option. Broccolini was cooked to perfection, the lemon peel was a great touch. Almost tasted as if it was candied, which went nicely with the Calabrian chili. Pistachio cake for dessert was spectacular. Super soft and the kanafa was toasted perfectly. We will be back soon to try more of the menu!

Yelp
I have visited several times on different occasions, and I will definitely return. The food is good, especially the risotto, which is excellent. It tends to get busy on weekends, so I recommend making a reservation in advance.

Yelp
Service was lacking, food order came out before cocktails even though they were ordered first. They ran out of bread (odd since they bake it right there). Also said they had run out of wine (Pinot). Good was edible but lacked flavor. Probably will give a second chance but with lowered expectations.
