Over all the food was pretty good. I wasn’t expecting the gumbo to be as good when it was delivered but the flavor was really good and not too spicy. The turkey and pork in the tacos didn’t really have that BBQ smokiness but the flavor was still really good. The green beans were very tasty which also something that was unexpected. There is plenty of seating with picnic like tables inside.

Open spacing seating. Great food. Great atmosphere. Food has great traditional bbq taste with its own flare. Love it. Family of 5 = 100$ Pricing was reasonable and similar to what we are familiar with (we're from Houston).

This is one cool spot. It’s wide open seating and a great location close to the water. The food was superb. The menu is fairly simple which is kind of refreshing. They have standard bbq options with some cool bbq variations. The smoke point was on point with all dishes. The dishes are straight forward, but if you get the corn in the cup stir that sucker up. It’s a layered dish so a lot of the flavor is at the bottom. The bbq sauce has a chili base so it’s got some spice. All the dishes that aren’t a straight forward bbq option have some bit of spiciness to it. The beer was refreshing. They have some standard brews and a few interesting creations. The 5400 is an awesome creation that blends an amber and IPA. They serve their beer to go in larger bomber cans which was a cool option. The ordering and operation can be a bit confusing though. You can order through a QR code, beverage only though. The menus are at the bar which where you order. They bring you your food to your table. No servers. They are fairly quick to pick up used plates and glasses. The place was pretty busy but they were very quick when the food and drinks. That is rare at a place like this, artisan food and drinks. When I go back I will get the 1/2 lbs of marble brisket with a side of the corn.

I had the brisket street tacos and green beans. Tacos were filling and pretty darn good. The green beans were very tasty. The bar staff was very approachable and knowledgeable of the menu. The delivery staff had no clue who ordered what items. The atmosphere is comfortable but the benches are not. I’m really happy with the wine selection. ALL TEXAS WINES! Thank you for supporting local.

Google
We got the Brisket Nachos, and they were pretty good. Looks are a little deceiving because there were a ton of chips under all the toppings and by the time we got through the first half we didn’t finish the rest because it was all chips. Still good, but not our favorite.

Google
Plenty of options! The staff was super friendly and there’s a free lot next to the brewery that we used for the Fourth of July weekend. Tons of indoor and outdoor seating. Close and walking distance to the beach too!

Google
Food was good, as was the service. Brisket & pulled pork hit the spot. Menu lacks a salad option, which was disappointing. Sauces were flavorful and definitely a value add. Atmosphere was appropriate for conversation.

Google
This place is great if you love beer and want a great variety, the atmosphere is very basic and open with nothing flashy or eye catching/entertaining. Would be nice if there were a few TVs at least showing some sports. The food is nothing great very mid/average, I've had better BBQ at Rudy's BBQ. They also ran out of Brisket which is a joke, what BBQ place runs out of Brisket smh. Overall its a decent place if you enjoy a cold beer and don't really care too much for the quality of the food. Just my honest opinion, try it out for yourself.

Yelp
Had the 5400 and Citramatic IPA's which were very good. BBQ was solid as well. Brisket sandwich and street tacos were very tasty. Facility is spacious with a large outdoor area as well. Place had a god vibe. Definitely worth a stop if you are in CC.

Yelp
I had a taste for some BBQ and the brisket tacos definitely met expectations. This was a great experience. They had a car show and also a hot wings contest going on so it was really nice to just eat and enjoy the entertainment. The staff was very helpful with explaining their menu and drinks.

Yelp
Amazing fun place, great beer, awesome food! The Texans of Corpus Cristi know how to make good beer and they have fun doing it!

Yelp
This old car dealership turned brewery doubles as a showroom floor for some nice works of art covering the walls. We just stopped by for some lunch but I had to try the peanut butter stout which was rich and delicious. The chicken street tacos and brisket sandwich were both good although not a lot of food. The potato salad was also good, but coleslaw was essentially just shredded cabbage, not much seasoning or dressing. This place is probably fun with a big group. The waitstaff were all very cool & friendly.

Yelp
A very relaxing atmosphere for great bbq and craft beer. Didn't expect such juicy smoked meats. Service was pleasant and efficient. Drinks can be ordered at the table but food needed to be ordered at the counter. Self-help condiment station had everything to complement our order. The jalapeños had a nice kick! 4% fee for CC payment. Plenty of AC indoor and outdoor seating. Parking was free and plentiful.
google avatar

Amy J.

Yelp
You know a bbq spot is good when they sell out. Beer is solid and so is service. Lots of parking and the bathrooms are clean. Probably the only place you really need to go for food and beer around here

Yelp
Large group came here during a conference lunch and service was fast, food was delicious, seating was ample! Upon entry you can order and then it's open seating at the large picnic style tables. Sweet tea was delicious, I opted to try Mac and cheese, elote, and a pulled pork quesadilla. Everything was delicious and good portions. There is a self service area for condiments and sauces that can accompany the dishes but I didn't find that the food needing much of anything extra. So glad we stopped in!

Yelp
I recently visited Nueces Brewing with family for lunch and drinks. The brewery's beer selection is fantastic from light refreshing lagers and pilsners to heavier tripel and ale options. For food the brewery has an extensive barbecue menu. I ordered a platter with Brisket, Pork Rib, Garlic Sausage, Elote, and Mac N Cheese. The brisket was tender, moist, and nicely peppery. The rib was nicely seasoned and smokey. The sausage was meaty and flavorful. The elote was citrusy, tangy and buttery. The mac n cheese was soft and savory. Overall, our visit was very enjoyable.

Yelp
Favorite brewery in Corpus Christi. Their brewery is large so there's usually ample seating. They also have a patio if you're wanting to sit outside. Their nachos are delicious, they smoke their meat on site so it's always great. They have wide variety of beers on tap, my favorite is the Supremo. Service is always nice too! Would recommend!

Yelp
Coming from houston, we eat a lot of barbecue. The wife and I decided we were in the mood, and found this spot near us. The restaurant looked nice and the reviews/rating were good enough to want us to try some corpus barbecue. Let me tell you, it was a huge mistake. I've had better barbecue at buc-ee's, or "The Texan" since, buc-ee's isn't around here. On the right, I ordered the 3 meat plate, and it came with, garlic sausage, pork ribs, and brisket. The sausage was very good, I'll give them that, but the ribs and brisket were very very dry. I'm used to being able to fold the brisket over my fork and it wanting to fall apart. This didn't do that, it just looked all sad and gray, just like the flavor. I could say the same about the ribs, barely any meat and super dry. It wasn't worth the $24.50. Now, for my sides I got, the elote, and mac and cheese. I'm Hispanic, so how could I resist elote? Well, it came out had pretty good flavor, but I couldn't understand the use of tajín, it was such a weird flavor and didn't make sense. Anytime Ive ate elote, it never had tajín, it was just chile powder, but whatever I guess. The mac and cheese was alright, not enough seasoning, the cilantro/coriander on top was so weird. Who puts cilantro on mac and cheese? The noodles were cooked good though, so that was the only thing rooting for it. My Wife ordered the baked potato with brisket, well since I already explained the dryness of the brisket, that wasn't great either. The potato had all the fixings, good flavor but because of the brisket, it just wasn't that great. It needed barbecue sauce to help make it taste good. That ain't good barbecue in my book if you need sauce. Now, what we did like was the, SOFT PRETZEL AND BEER CHEESE. OMGGGG, let me tell you, unfortunately that picture never made it to my camera roll, because we dove in so fast. We were so tempted to order another for a late night snack. The pretzel was soft and pillowy, golden brown, nice and salty, with that delicious and creamy beer cheese. Man, it makes me want another while I'm writing this review. Anyways, unfortunately for us the food wasn't all that, I read that they used to be a brewing company and then added barbecue later on. After we ate here, I think they should stick to what they know, beer.
google avatar

Brandi P.

Yelp
Atmosphere 5/5 nice big place. Plenty of seating inside and out Good location Dog friendly and they have bowls and treats They have reverse osmosis brew drinking water Lots of swag to buy Pretzel with beer cheese 4/5 the pretzel was pretty good and they have dessert pretzels as well. The beer cheese was nothing special, pretty average and there wasn't a lot of it. If you register with them you get either a free beer or pretzel.

Yelp
I love bbq. Coming from Kansas City, I have my preferences and let me say that they delivered here. Their brisket is a must. Whether it's on nachos or just the combo, it's delicious. I will say the combo with two sides you only get 2 slices of brisket so eat slowly and savor, but it's yummy. The brisket nachos were flavorful- pinto beans seasoned, pico nice and spicy, and all topped with a dollop of sour cream. Tex Mex at its finest. The potato salad was also yummy. It's brightness with its dill and mayo was delightful. The only thing that didn't deliver was the Mac and cheese. The flavor fell flat but that is just a personal preference. I would want more dimension. The noodles were over cooked. Try the others! The staff was friendly and the place was super clean and spacious. Lots of tvs for sports! Would definitely come back!

Yelp
Fun, dog friendly, kid friendly, and good food. I'm not a beer drinker, but from what I saw, others really did enjoy their brews with multiple refills! There is also a patio outside that is lighted and has a Jenna game to play! The ladies behind d the bar were fabulous, quick with my order, and super friendly. My order came out perfect without any errors. Hubby and I stopped in for lunch at about 2 pm. on a Friday afternoon. Walking distance from the ocean front. The atmosphere is a relaxed, beachy vibe. The bar staff again are friendly. The tables are cleaned quickly. The floors are sparkly clean. Bathrooms were clean, too! The Pulled Pork nachos were so good! The pulled pork was just the right mix of savory spices. Tasty and not spicy! It came with pico, sour cream, and jalapeños (we left the pico jalapeño off due to dietary restrictions. Very tasty! Very filling for us to split. When in Corpus again, I can see coming back again!

Yelp
We were the first customers of the day (Sunday)! It was within walking distance from our hotel. We saw it the first day when we walked by and it didn't seem like much from the outside. We were really surprised when we walked in. Place is huge and the inside has a great vibe. We ordered a 3 meat plate (brisket, ribs and sausage) with two sides (mac, beans) and the brisket street tacos and elote. Should've ordered more tacos, they were delicious. We had a flight of beer and a few pints after to wash down the pecan pie
google avatar

Yelp
Stumbled across this gem while trying to find some good bbq. I got the brisket and pulled pork to go along with the Mac and cheese and potato salad. All of it was great and really gave me a good Texas BBQ! I got the Adam West Coast Hazy for my beer, good flavor and refreshing. Next time we'll have to try more and sit out on their great patio!
google avatar

Arden C.

Yelp
service was great! the employees were super sweet. but the food is definitely lacking unfortunately:( the meats seemed unseasoned/ lacked flavor. the elote was pretty good though! just wouldn't recommend it if you're going for brisket or anything of the sort.

Yelp
Amazing experience. The building is historical, huge and very well done. Service was polite, quick and efficient. The BBQ was great. Not dry and smoky. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Aubrey V.

Yelp
We got there right when they opened & we are so glad we did! They have a nice little parking lot next to the building but it looked like a decent amount of people walked there for lunch breaks which is a great sign. They have all the great vibes with an "incase of emergency" case in the womens bathroom and signs with arrows saying "make beer" & "drink beer"... can't get lost - that's the simple stuff we need. Haha They had so much merch (tshirts, totes, hats, lanyards, etc.). Now for the food, WOW. So good. My husband had the pulled pork super Mac with hot cheetohs and oh man he LOVED IT. Then we shared chips and Queso, & a soft pretzel. And in my opinion, that pretzel absolutely stole the show. GET IT, NOW. Now the drinks, we both tried their s'mores dark beer and I truly loved it. You can totally get the chocolate and s'mores taste. I then had a sangria which was super good. My husband then had the shandy and he loved that they actually mix their beer with a little lemonade. He said it was great. So if you're thinking about going stop messing around and do it, you won't regret it.

Yelp
Nueces Brewery is a modern trendy bar, brewery and barbecue joint that opened a few years ago. From what I can tell, it was part of a local trend to capitalize on a popular one from bigger cities in Texas - breweries that doubled as bars/eateries. I was really happy to see them open up. The space they renovated and now inhabit was one of the many rundown buildings in Downtown Corpus, and the addition of this type of business has only helped to further modernize the city and help drive economic development. And to their full credit, it is a really cool establishment. From what I have heard, their beer is really good. The vibes there are solid and laid back. They also play really good music - yesterday we had a work meeting there and I recall hearing Daft Punk, Sneaker Pimps, and Salt-N-Pepa, to name a few artists that had my head bobbing. Now, the barbecue is legit STX bbq. It is really good, IMO! Not originally a barbecue restaurant, they were fairly savvy to turn it into one early on in the pandemic when Texas had not yet reopened bars, but was allowing restaurants to operate at limited capacity. They have since maintained the restaurant, which has only enhanced what they already had to offer.

Yelp
Ambiance is nice! Beer is good. But food was disappointing. Got the brisket tacos and was expecting the ones from other reviews. These were disappointing

Yelp
Great variety of good beer, great BBQ ,great service and an relaxing atmosphere worth the trip from Michigan

Yelp
I stopped in here on a sunday. I was in Harlingen for work and decided to take a long drive on my day off. I stopped in for lunch. The place is really big with long communal tables. There is also outdoor seating for if its not too hot. They have something like nearly a dozen beers on tap. They have quite a few BBQ dishes on the menu. I ordered the nachos which came out as quite a big tray. I suggest you share this if you order. The beers they have are really good! I definitely give a nod to this place.

Ariana G.

Yelp
Coming in from Houston. Found this on yelp so decided to try it. Really enjoyed the brewery. Ordered the baked potato and quesadillas. Food was all very tasty. Nice ambiance- plenty of seating inside and patio outside. Clean restrooms and clean facility. Only issue was it was our first time and we were confused about ordering. The QR codes at the tables aren't active so we ordered at the bar. We didn't get that Brewery welcome feeling. Felt more like a restaurant with a bar that serves beer. We like learning about the beers and all. Ordered a flight. My least favorite was the Hef but rest were really good. overall it was a nice visit. Solid 8/10.

Yelp
Alert: Dog Friendly Location!! You are allowed to bring your puppy inside and on the patio outside! My little guy was so excited to stay in the a/c while we ate. They even have a jar of treats at the bar :) This is a standalone restaurant with their brewery attached. Location is on Water Street right down the street from the T-Heads and Corpus Christi Bay. Inside is very bright and spacious with some small tables, a bar, and lots of long communal benches. You order at the counter and the food is brought out to you. Prices are pretty fair and the portions are a good size. For $15, I ordered the brisket nachos to share. It comes with beans, cheese, pico, sour cream, and pickled jalapenos. Brisket is tender and fatty. Sausage sandwich tastes great (and lots of sausage) but the meat is strangely tough. Might just be the one time I ordered it. I think this was $8-$9? I don't usually drink but was curious to try. The bartender had several recommendations and we went with the Hefeweizen because we were in the mood for something light. It was light, citrusy, and not too hoppy. I would recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent all purpose spot with good selection of German style beers and BBQ! The bock and supreme was my favorite out of the flight. BBQ was slightly over cooked, but I prefer brisket with a slight tug from the connective tissue. This one was melting and falls apart from a touch. The BBQ sauce was delicious and peppery, enjoyed it very much!
google avatar

Yelp
Honestly I had a lot higher hopes & expectations for this place because of the reviews but it was for sure a let down. I got the elote in a cup, nachos & quesadillas. The elote was so salty???!!! I asked my bf to try it as well and he agreed it was not good. The nachos were MID the pulled pork had no seasoning and tasted like nothing. The quesadillas were SO greasy it seeped through the parchment paper and down my sleeve and I didn't even notice so gross. The only positives was the spacious seating and the unlimited pickles but besides that this place was a solid 2 stars.

JohnandLiz P.

Yelp
The service staff was truly amazing. Food was good and the atmosphere was good. We had an issue with the music ( lots of reverb going on) and asked bar staff if it could be lowered slightly. He didn't hesitate a bit . We enjoyed the company and will be back in the future. Only negative would be the parking situation.
google avatar

Glenn D.

Yelp
Great food and service! Tender and flavorful. Amazing Nachos amd Corn Elote! Relaxed and confortable atmosphere.

Yelp
Some facts about the place, the parking lot is smaller than what establishment can fit in the building including the outdoor seating. Outdoor seating area is only partially covered so it can get uncomfortable in the summertime. It's a pet friendly place, so don't be surprised if you see a dog wandering around inside the building or snarling at each other on the patio (this happened while I was there). Unfortunately, they do not offer table service, which means you have to leave your meal, go stand in line and wait to be served. If they had someone going around taking beer orders only, that would probably help increase sales. Also trying to get through that big glass door to the patio with your hands holding two beers is just asking for an accident. As for the food, the primary item on the menu is barbecue. The sliced brisket is good as are the brisket nachos. However, my sliced brisket sandwich came with no barbecue sauce and the sausage link will be smaller than you think. All of their beers are on point with no complaints, although I've had better hefe. When you check out with your credit card you will be prompted by the tip screen and you will pay a credit card fee. Unless I actually lived in the neighborhood, I probably would not add this to my list of regular to go to places. Once was enough.
google avatar

Chanel C.

Yelp
The food here was delicious. It wasn't the best bbq I've had, but very good. The ambiance of this place is so nice. It is very spacious and the service is great. I also liked that they had a station for pickles, onions, and peppers on the side to add to your meal. They also had a soft drink station as well as delicious beers and wines.
google avatar

Don S.

Yelp
Great selection of beers and friendly customers and staff and it looks like it's a very dog friendly place, I think people come here to prorate their dogs and there were some really amazing four footers there
google avatar

Tim C.

Yelp
I've eaten at a lot of great BBQ joints in the hill country and Houston, which is a new hot spot for amazing 'Q.....now I can add a Corpus spot to that list of amazing places. My wife and I shared a three meat plate and two sides, all of which were 5 stars. The pulled pork was the best we've ever had any where, The sliced "marbled"/moist/fatty brisket is in our top 5, the pork ribs were amazing and gone. The mac n cheese was top notch, the pinto beans were loaded with meat and flavor. We shared one hefeweizen beer that was very tasty, neither of us know much about beer but we know we liked it a lot....should have gotten two. Just in the interests of food science I decided to try the pecan pie that came with whipped cream, another 5 star product I'd be happy to snarf again. Great service, great 'Q and great beer....we'll be back and soon!

Glen B.

Yelp
Good beer, good bbq. Bartending staff weak on beer knowledge. I will not go back to brew pubs that don't have knowledgeable staff. Beer lovers like to talk about it and compare notes. Why would you start a beer business and hire people who know little or nothing about beer to ruin your business? The IPA that I had was great, the peanut butter stout was great (a knowledgeable server might have mentioned the high alcohol content and limited serving size).

Ken A.

Yelp
The beer was good, not great. What I mean by this is a step up from regular beer. Main food dishes good. I found the side items average, like the fries were cold and soggy.
google avatar

Fabian M.

Yelp
Stumbled across this place when in town visiting on vacation. Food was pretty good. The atmosphere was good. Plenty of space. Easy parking right next to building. However when we walked in, not one person spoke to us. So we sat ourselves at a table and scanned the code. Well it was just for beer. We just wanted some food. I guess we should have known better that we had to order the food before we sat down. But that was all in all our only issue.

Amanda S.

Yelp
First time here, it was for a retirement party. Because it was 'Bingo' night we were shamed and harassed for having a good time with long time friends.
google avatar

Eric G.

Yelp
Food is great beer is greater. Good atmosphere friendly staff. Always a good place to eat and relax.

Laura H.

Yelp
Not only is the service great (everyone is so pleasant & helpful), but the food & beer is excellent. We have an emotional support dog & they were more than accommodating to her. What a great brewery all around!
google avatar

Peter B.

Yelp
Great atmosphere good beer & food! Very friendly staff & dog friendly this is always a stop for me when in Corpus
google avatar

Monica M.

Yelp
I really loved this place! The atmosphere was incredible and the food and drinks were even better. We got a whole flight of beers (the Hefeweizen, the Pangosa, the Belgian trippel, and the black lager) and I really enjoyed each one despite their differences. The BBQ was also great. The meat portions were a little small but the tacos and nachos were incredible. The only issue besides the small meat portions were that the system here was a little confusing. The meal didn't come with any BBQ sauce at all so we assumed there wasn't any. Only after we finished our meal (and enjoyed it) did we discover that there was a whole condiment bar tucked away with sauces and pickles. It would have been really great to have known that after or while we were ordering since it was our first time (and we told them as much while ordering). Besides that small quibble everything else was great. Sorry the pictures aren't great we were too hungry and ate it before I could get decent shots of the food!
google avatar

Karelia H.

Yelp
There was good food, great beers, good service, and a great ambiance. We shared the combo plate of 2 options and two sides, and it was good portions. Great music, too!

Constance B.

Yelp
My husband and I haven't eaten here for a few months. We went last night and we were shocked at the prices. We each got the two meat platter. They only had brisket or pulled pork. We asked for 2 briskets. We were told it would be an extra $3 for double brisket. Then on top of that, they now charge 3% for using a credit card. We each had a drink - beer and wine. The total for 2 dinners and one drink each was $73. The food is good but stop nickel and diming the customer. Needless to say we won't be going back anytime soon.

Erin M.

Yelp
Maybe I came on an off day, but I did not have a good visit here. The beer is good, but the food ended up making me sick. I got the brisket street tacos. They were cold. Were they supposed to come that way?? All the other BBQ places I've gone to the food was at least warm. I also got Hint Hint beer. Tasted good when I ate. The Queso, I think, is melted cheddar. It's not a white queso cheese. Service was top notch. I'm sure lots of people would love this spot. It just didn't work for me. Especially since it made me and the other two guests I was with nauseated. Most likely won't visit again. Sorry guys, but it's a miss for me.
google avatar

Mikell W.

Yelp
Big beer hall vibe, love the layout. The barbecue is quality and the selection of in-house beers is worth the visit alone. The loaded mac and cheese was my favorite!
google avatar

Sheldon A.

Yelp
Stopped by here after visiting Padres Island. The service is a little slow but totally worth it. The pulled pork nachos were massive and the 3 brisket tacos were delicious. Way more food than we could finish. Although their Hefeweizen wasn't my favorite, there beer selection is enough and very good. This will definitely be my go to brewery in Corpus.
google avatar

Karen C.

Yelp
Dark beer selection is excellent! The variety is also very appreciated. Every beer we tried was pretty good, nothing negative to say. Good environment as well.
google avatar

Joel P.

Yelp
Walking from the parking lot you can smell the bbq smoke rolling out of the Texas offsets. The bbq is authentic Texas BBQ and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is spacious and clean. This was a great find and I'll be back.

Yelp
Staff - 5 of 5 - friendly, helpful, can advise & recommend Atmosphere - 5 of 5 - huge place, probably great to bring friends and sit at huge picnic tables, beachy. Palm trees and fish Food - 4 - smallish portions, ok BBQ but not what I expect from TX. We got the BBQ pork sandwich, small, fatty, and an ordinary bun served with a side choice of Lay's. My smoked chicken tasted just normal to me. Not smoked, and a little dry. Salad had an oil based caesar dressing. Nice shavings of parmesan. I didn't try the large croutons. Price - 3 out of 5 - at least $3-4 more than should be charged per plate Music - 5 - country appropriate Beer - 5 of 5 - Pumpkin a solid, and darker than any I've had before. Hubby got a flight that included a F Around & Find Out Stout, chocolaty; and a mango Sup with Chamoy; and El Viejo Loco which is a premium English old Ale rested for several years in Corpus Christi's own Vida Caña 18 year Rum barrels; and the Pumpkin Pie English Porter.
