"This small shop with big front windows and a completely gluten-free kitchen is mostly focused on sweets and bakery favorites, from lemon bars to hazelnut brownies to gingersnaps. The shop also makes more traditional breakfast and lunch offerings, like quiche, scones, and toast. It provides detailed ingredient lists so every diner knows what items contain potential allergens." - Eater Staff

"This has been one of the more sought-out gluten free bakeries in the city, and it offers a variety of treats for delivery. That includes take and bake cinnamon roll packs, with frosting on the side, which could be a welcome distraction for families hunkered down at home." - Eater Staff

We enjoyed popping into this neighborhood spot for an ice coffee and some pastries on a Saturday morning. The beef empanada had excellent flavor. Quiet spot with outdoor seating.

MUST VISIT BAKERY IN SEATTLE IF YOU HAVE GLUTEN ALLERGIES✨✨ Everything here is gluten-free, delicious and reasonably priced. I got the cinnamon roll & tiramisu - soooooo good🫶🏽🫶🏽

Google
Amazing hand pies! Delicious baguettes, donuts were pretty good but a little on the sweet side. Highly recommend it!! The staff member was very friendly, talkative and informative. He recommended an amazing cafe for us, as they only serve drip, coffee and espresso. Lots of great recommendations to go to. Will definitely return if I'm ever back in Seattle! Thanks for making my visit AWESOME!!!

When we walked in, the door and window had broken glass, but figured 🤷‍♀️ it Seattle, so not golding that against them. The place is pretty small. It looked larger in the photos. They had the front display case and a few items on the counter. The options were pretty limited. Not sure if that is normal or if it was just the time and day we went. We tried the pumpkin maple doughnut, which was really good, and the vanilla lemon doughnut which we were not fond of. The person behind the counter was not rude, but she wasn't really friendly either. She didn't smile at all, and only spoke one or two words to us. It felt like we were an inconvenience to her somehow. It was okay I guess, but I doubt we will be back. Might try and find another gluten free bakery instead.

Google
One of the best spots in Seattle for Celiac's. A dedicated gluten free bakery. We loved their savory hand pies and quiches, their cinnamon rolls and donuts, their entire menu without having to hunt for asterisks on what parts of the menu were safe. It's all safe, and it's spectacular.

Alexandra Payne

Google
No other way around it- it's just not good. This is from me, and my boyfriend who has celiacs. He is used to bad gluten free food, and even he was shocked and disappointed. We couldn't even finish our lemon bar, raspberry oat bar, and danish that was as hard as a rock. And all for $25 too. Maybe we chose poorly or went at a bad time.

Google
Susi, the gal who assisted with picking out our order and then ringing it up, was very friendly and had good suggestions for us...this was our first visit. The Lemon bar and Marionberry bar that we decided on were both moist, had the right amount of sweetness and were just generally very tasty! Thanks again, Susi!

I am so sad to be writing this review, since I used to frequent Nuflours all the time before their new management - everything used to be delicious. But I recently bought an $8 slice of chocolate pistachio cake, and it was so dry it was inedible. I reached out via email to try and get a refund, but never heard back. Sharing photos from the Gluten Free Seattle Facebook group in hopes that the new owners will take note and improve the quality. If not, I can’t see them surviving :(

Yelp
Stopped in here on the way to the Cap hill farmers market for a snack. I am gf and it is always such a treat to go somewhere that is all gluten free!!! I had their quiche and my friend had some of the hand pies. I tried both and they were lovely. The crust for both was flaky & flavorful and the fillings were delicious. When I checked in on Yelp I got a $5 off coupon which the cashier said they couldn't use :(. If you can't use it or they changed their mind about the Yelp offer they should remove it from Yelp.

Yelp
This place is always busy. And I can't help but think that it's not because there are so many of us searching for gluten-free baked goods. It's mostly because it's just delicious. Wonderful selection from donuts to hand pies. And everything in between. If you are gluten-free, this is going to be a mind blowing treat. I couldn't get out of there without at least five different items. Person in front of me got at least 15 items. I got a loaf of olive bread, 2 hand pies, ginger snap cream cheese cookie sando, and I blueberry peach pastry. All of them extremely delicious and the pastries were so flaky and buttery. There is maybe a table or two to sit down but mostly it is a take away.

Kerry K.

Yelp
I LOVED the gluten free brownie I had here. If you didn't know it was gluten free, you wouldn't be able to tell. It was so moist and delicious. I wish there was a Nuflours where I live in LA. I wish I could have tried more of their items. Hopefully I'll be back in Seattle and can come back.

Cindy C.

Yelp
As many people said, the cinnamon rolls are the best. You honestly can't tell anything is gluten free here. Theres this softness to the dough they were able to recreate, and you're able to have it with or with out the creamy filling if you choose to have a dairy free option, but it's so buttery good I would get it on the side like I did so you can share and dip. The lemon bar and some of the other pastries were a tad too sweet for me. But the quiche on the other hand they perfected, just falls apart and has this savory goodness. This is a great spot for someone who is Celiac and then you all can get different little dishes and share what you can.

Laura B.

Yelp
This place is really solid. It is nice to have so many gluten free options. The sweet potato hand pie is great as is the berry crumble thing. It could use some salad or soup options. Hope to see it expand over time. There's too few gluten free spots.

Fionna L.

Yelp
A wonderful little bakery that is gluten-free! There are a couple small tables inside and the decoration was comfortably hip, with hanging whisk lights, tarp fabric plants, and cookie cutter string lights hanging at the window. They have a large selection of sweet and savory pastries, breads, cakes and more along with drinks with creative names like "Bioluminescence". I settled for a jalapeño cheddar quiche and a vanilla lemon donut; both were so tasty! They warmed the quiche up for me and it was flavorful and spicy, though the dough was a bit soggy. The donut was pure melt-in-your-mouth crumbly bliss. My friend loved her chocolate eclair and muffin. I would be happy to return to try their tiramisu and maybe enjoy a dinner of my own with their frozen pizza dough!

Valerie M.

Yelp
No! Sorry, was hopeful sadly the blueberry yogurt muffin was dry! Was not tasty! Actually, the selection didn't look as yummy for a bakery. Ambience was a little drab and service was mediocre. Can get better gluten free pastries at coffee places.

GG R.

Yelp
I am a Gluten Free girl who was visiting from California, everything that I purchased was delicious! I was so excited to have options of what to order to eat as everything is gluten free. I traveled back home with treats and everything traveled well. (A fresh baked baguette, cinnamon rolls even a tiramisu) I'm going to have to figure out how to ship a half a dozen cinnamon rolls for Christmas! Thank you Nuflours for making such yummy gluten free treats!

Emma L.

Yelp
Was looking for a good fully gluten free bakery. Gluten free can be tricky sometimes, it can be hard to get that soft, fluffy, and moist texture when making anything gluten free. With great surprise this place nails it perfectly. Their desserts were all moist and soft, nothing was dry at all. Obviously some of the desserts you can tell have a bit of a "gluten free" taste to them but when looking for an alternative to gluten, a slight taste difference is no issue. Just glad my stomach won't be hurting!!

Maddie B.

Yelp
This place has everything you'd want when it comes to a bakery, except it's gluten free, often dairy free or vegan, and has most other allergens clearly labeled and thoughtfully distributed. Super lovely when you're craving something that would be off limits at most shops! The desserts are great: I really enjoyed a grasshoppper brownie and pumpkin muffin, and both held up well for another day after I got them.

Christina Z.

Yelp
Tiramisu here is no longer as good as 5 years ago. There's very little mascarpone cream and the cake is not moist. Should be dunked in espresso to be called a tiramisu, but it was dry. 5/5 nice people though!

Josh Z.

Yelp
The brownie is the best I've had in Seattle. It is on the darker side, that may or may not be your jam. But the density and texture are perfect. I like dark chocolate, my wife did not.

Cheryl P.

Yelp
I am absolutely, completely, and utterly obsessed! As soon as I learned that Nuflours was an entirely gluten-free bakery, I knew I had to stop by during my trip to Seattle. I was completely blown away by all the options they offered. I stopped on a Friday afternoon, where the place was surprisingly empty, and was able to ask the cashier for her recommendations. I didn't catch her name but she was literally the sweetest and her recs didn't disappoint. I ended up getting a slice of their tiramisu cake, a cinnamon roll, and a lemon bar. The cinnamon roll was by far my favorite, and the best I'd ever tasted, gluten-free or not. Getting the cream cheese frosting on top is an absolute *must*. I wish the tiramisu had a slightly stronger espresso flavor, but it was still an amazing treat! The lemon bar flavor was also great - super tart and refreshing. It can definitely get a bit overwhelming looking at everything in their display cases - they have donuts, muffins, scones, eclairs, brownies, and quiches just to name a few, not to mention all the other breads they make. Ultimately, I truly don't think you can go wrong here! I wish the prices for every dessert were a bit more prominently displayed, but overall, my only regret was not being able to try more of their items before I left Seattle. This was truly such a gem to visit and I know I'll definitely return if I'm ever back in the neighborhood. Nuflours deserves all the support in the world :)

Darren B.

Yelp
Small cafe that caters well to gluten free and other dietary restriction friends. Food here was great, but the service and great folks behind the counter make the experience worth it. If it weren't for the ungodly loud construction happening across the street this would be a great spot to hang. Definitely worth checking out!!

Nicole S.

Yelp
Unfortunately very unimpressed and really had high hopes for this place. Ordered a bunch of things some to eat with my friend at one of the little tables in the shop & some to go. We both had different slices of the quiche at the shop and unfortunately they just heated it up in the microwave so I think it really affected how good it may have been. When I heated the other piece at home in the toaster it was a little better but still lacking flavor Was expecting a few more drink offerings and the tea drink that we ordered that was recommended by the person working there was extremely watery with not much flavor

Wendi K.

Yelp
Gluten-Free baked goods tend to have a sandier, denser texture which I actually like! I came around noon on a Saturday and it looked like they were out of lots of items - including the Millionaire's bar I wanted to try! Picked up a lemon bar ($4.50). It was VERY crust heavy (only a thin layer of lemon) and not too sweet and nicely lemony. I am obsessed with crust so this was 100% my jam :) Love that they are an allergy friendly business and would love to come back and try more baked goods!

Bernesto Y.

Yelp
Great frozen cinnamon rolls, our holiday go to. In case you need instructions: 200F, 40 min, 350F, 30min, let sit 5. Pickup at other locations was a bit problematic - forgot frosting, had to go back. They fixed it for us tho.

Lisa M.

Yelp
Everything is gluten free. Some dairy free options with the iced brownies, some muffins and there was a whole cake you could purchase. I ended up getting a chocolate chip cookie and the chocolate/strawberry trifle cake cup. The chocolate chip cookie was perfect. Nice crunchy ends with chewy inside. Best gluten/dairy free chocolate chip cookie I've had. I did not care for the cake in the cup. There wasn't a good flavor--very sweet and the icing texture wasn't great. If I wasn't dairy free, I could've gotten more exciting things.

Paul G.

Yelp
The service was just ok and the same could be said for the coffee. Those things should deter you from a fabulous gluten free bakery. I had potato bacon quiche, cinnamon roll with frosting and a slice of plain cheesecake. The quiche was a little over cooked making it firm. The flavor was fabulous and the crust was good. The cinnamon roll blew my mind. It was so close to a gluten CR in texture and flavor that I was definitely surprised. I would drive 30 minutes to get another. The cheesecake was delicious too. It tasted like a gram cracker crust but was gluten free. I'm not sure what kind of voodoo they are using but it's working perfectly. The food I ate had a great flavor, amazing texture and didn't feel like a sacrifice for its lack of gluten. Definitely going back.

Yelp
Very pleased with the birthday cake! It's hard to find a place that offers gluten-free, dairy-free and nut free. Thanks!!

Yelp
The brownies and on time delivery score a TEN! absolutely delicious! The customer service post delivery gets a minus 5. I placed order through DoorDash the night before. Order was delivered exactly on time on a Saturday! However, I ordered 4 and got 3. I still paid for 4, so if one brownie option was not available why not give me something else? I selected the box that said I was okay with this option. I called on Monday and whoever answered the phone kept tell me I needed to go through DoorDash and if it was an error, they would refund me the cost of the missing item. I asked if my friend, who lives nearby (whose house we were at), could walk in and pick it up, he said I had to go through DoorDash first. So in the light of maintaining a good customer service attitude of giving up a brownie for a mistake made, he wanted nothing to do with fixing this. If you are a business and are struggling with the DoorDash system, stop doing business with them. I get it, the business doesn't get the order until hours before the pick up (according to the guy who answered the phone) so they had no idea that all my brownies in my order would available since I picked that last delivery of the day. Give me the brownie that I was shorted and I will write an amazing post AND return to your establishment. I purposely picked a locally owned business and will continue to do so, but not this one, even though their brownies are delicious.

Yelp
I get my nails done twice a month across the street and have probably walked by this place a million times. Today they had an A frame sign in the sidewalk that I almost tripped on that said something about the smell of a bakery being the equivalent of happiness. Because I can't eat gluten I really love to smell it, so in total agreement I looked over in the shop window and noticed that they're gluten free. I was so completely overwhelmed with the options. There had to have been 20+ and that NEVER happens for me. Generally there's like two options in the GF world. I panicked and just picked out two things closest to the register- a red velvet donut and a lemon bar. Absolutely AMAZING. Generally the lack of gluten means a lack of moisture- things are generally pretty crumbly and dry. Not at all the case here. It was also reasonably priced and for two items I think I paid $9. My only frustration is that I only grabbed two items. Guess I'll be back!

Cindy W.

Yelp
I had a gift certificate from several years ago that I had been meaning to use. I never go to that area of town. Today I made the trip, however they did not honor the valid gift certificate. They said that they have a new owner and that there was no way for them to get the money for it. I had already ordered a warmed quiche and several other bakery items. After they told me "sorry" I paid for my quiche and left without getting the other items. The quiche was good, which is why I added a couple stars

Gwen H.

Yelp
So friendly and helpful!! Great selection of baked goods for those with gluten intolerance or a preference for no gluten. Some of the donuts were a bit soggy, but still yummy.

Brenna L.

Yelp
This place is awesome for what it is. I will absolutely be back for the chocolate chip whoopi cakes. I absolutely inhaled the first one I ever purchased. To be completely up-front, the sugar cookie is a little too bland, in my opinion. The flours they have to use in order to be allergen-friendly taste a little funky in the sourdough bread loaf, but I do still think it's worth it if you're nut, dairy, and gluten intolerant.

Shaula M.

Yelp
I first discovered Nuflours when Phebe was still selling at farmers markets and baking in a commercial kitchen - my best friend lived across the street! I still remember the dozen cupcakes we special-ordered for my birthday, gosh, 10 years ago? I've since discovered the brownies, and the lemon bar - oh just like my grandma used to make, but now gluten-free! It's a certified gluten-free bakery, so when you walk in you can eat EVERYTHING you see! I also avoid dairy and many options are dairy-free - including the aforementioned brownie & lemon bar. Best of all, friends who eat gluten can't even tell if I don't tell them, so it's super easy to pick up a half-dozen brownies and take them to an event. (shh, they are BIG so I actually cut them in half). Cake - they're all dairy-free except for the carrot which has a real cream cheese frosting. I can cheat a little with dairy and for the tiramisu and the quiche, oh and and the spinach-feta hand-pie :-) There are a few vegan choices - if you can snag one I totally recommend the paleo-cranberry scone. Best of all - you can now buy their products in many PCCs and some other local stores like Kens - a handy option if you're headed to a birthday party and need to bring your own slice of cake.

Anna C.

Yelp
Nuflours' has amazing food and deserts! We loved the chocolate cake, cheesecake, and cheese danish! Can't wait to return!

Alethea P.

Yelp
Great experience yesterday! It was my first time visiting Nuflours and loved it! I got a bunch of items to try out. Had a sea salt brownie (yum), maple pumpkin cake donut (so moist and delish), and a cinnamon roll (very good). They sell out of certain items early, so next time I'll go near opening so I can try a loaf of bread, which I've also heard is good! 10/10 reccomend to anyone with a GF preference.

Shaida H.

Yelp
Perfect spot on the hill for folks with dietary restrictions; all items are gluten free and there are so many items that are dairy free and/or vegan. Joined some friends here on Sunday at 10am; they seemed to get busier on this day after 11am. They require masks indoors and have masks if you need them. They have outdoor and indoor seating as well; there are tables and counter space by the window. They have items that are frozen that you can take home (cinnamon rolls, and pizza dough; have had the cinnamon rolls and really tasty). Dining in I had the vegan lemon vanilla donut which was tasty and not too sweet. And the raspberry danish was flaky (as flaky as gluten free can be) and nicely balanced; it wasn't too sweet. Took to-go, garlic Parmesan bread (good texture at room temp but so good toasted), lemon bars, vegan chocolate donut, spinach feta hand pie, and vegan oatmeal yogo. They have plenty of teas and coffee choices too. Right now, their restrooms are not open for customers, which was inconvenient but was understandable.

Kathy P.

Yelp
The cakes here are fantastic!! I got a couple of cakes for my granddaughters wedding. I was apprehensive about a vegan gluten-free cake, Much to my surprise these were awesome. Highly recommend.

Colleen Q.

Yelp
Pastries tasted SOOO good and the workers were so welcoming and nice. Would definitely go back!

Mary R.

Yelp
I visited here for the first time this past weekend and it was amazing. I only recently went gluten free and have had a hard time finding gluten free options in Seattle. Everything here is gluten free. They have pastries, cakes, cookies, muffins, etc. I got a spinach and feta empanada, a jalapeno cheddar quiche and a raspberry streusel bar. All were fantastic and I am so glad I found this gem. My husband who is not gluten free also loved every item as well, so not just a destination for those who are unable to eat gluten.

Tarra P.

Yelp
Best gluten free bread and pastry! Even our guests who are not gluten free loved everything!

Alyssa B.

Yelp
The service was great, but the cookies for the maple Thai tea ice cream sandwich were rock hard!

Adriana L.

Yelp
First time at the bakery. Loved not having to think about cross contamination. Bought the spinach pie, cheesecake and salted brownie. They all tasted amazing. Definitely recommend the brownie, it was my favorite.

Diane S.

Yelp
I love Nuflours! Everything is good, but I especially like their variety of brownies, raspberry bar, cinnamon rolls, and quiche. The ingredients are clearly identified, so it's easy to choose non-dairy or vegan, in addition to gluten free. I get their goodies delivered at least twice a month. Thanks, Nuflours!!

Nia-mercedes C.

Yelp
Went in yesterday after a dr appt in the neighborhood it was my first time and I was greeted nicely by the gentleman working there. He answered all of my questions and was so nice about it. I got a cheese danish, parm loaf and baguette it was amazing! It's so hard to find such delicious gluten free food. Definitely recommend.

Quinn C.

Yelp
Still amazing. Came back this morning and picked up two donuts, two muffins and a load of sandwich bread. We only have half the loaf of bread left. If you are gluten free, please be sure to visit this place. They're wonderful!

Lauren N.

Yelp
Lovely local bakery- all gluten free and delicious. My personal favorite are the cinnamon rolls warmed up. They make a lot of other tasty treats and breads too!

Terese C.

Yelp
Absolutely loved the zucchini cardamom muffin, I think I'll go back again tomorrow to get it lol!! The lovely person who served me said it was their favorite too. So refreshing to have gluten free and dairy free options as a traveller.

Allie H.

Yelp
Cute little bakery with a good selection. I was excited to see they offered quiche- always nice to find savory products rather than just pastries/sweets that gluten free bakeries commonly offer. I got the jalapeño cheddar quiche which was delicious and very filling! They'll heat it up for you as well if you ask. I also got an eclair and a piece of the coffee & rum tiramisu. The eclair was fantastic- not too sugary sweet. It was pretty small, but still worth the splurge. The tiramisu was great as well, and a much bigger portion. Just a note- if you check in on Yelp they offer $5 off your next order. Such a generous deal!

NL D.

Yelp
I ordered a gluten- free, vegan cake a week in advance. Today I arrived to pick it up and was informed they made a mistake and made a quarter sheet cake instead of a half sheet cake. People make mistakes, but how you handle mistakes speaks volumes... and this was not handled well. No one called to let me know about the mistake- I was told when I arrived at the store. No discount was offered (they did refund me the difference in cost between the cakes). No appropriate alternative was offered. I was just left stuck with half the amount of cake I needed and they didn't seem to think that was a big deal. The cake also looked terrible. The frosting was all over the place- including on my shirt from carrying it to the car- and the writing was amateur. This combination of lackluster product and customer service is truly. disappointing.

Rutul K.

Yelp
If you're thinking of getting a chocolate raspberry cake, please do yourself a favor and don't. It was so bad that it was an herculean task for 6 people to finish even 1 tiny slice of this cake. Not to mention it didn't even look celebratory. Absolutely no attempt was even made at making it look presentable. We're talking just pink icing with some cookie crumbles on the side and a "happy bday" written in the center. What a disappointment.

Daisha N.

Yelp
OH wait the teammates my boss shared it with was sooo happy to have cake!!!! All 20 of us had cake together, very special! That is a really special birthday and treat, Thanks

A Q.

Yelp
I was here in 2015 visiting for a wedding, and happened upon this place after a Yelp search for gluten free. I had quiche and a brownie, they were sooo good! Fast forward to 2019, I'm not sure how or why Nuflours popped up in my mind, but I did a search online and realized they do national shipping! I ordered the cinnamon rolls because I miss the gluten ones oh so much. They were amazing. I ordered 8 more this past week and just as delicious as they were before. I hope with COVID-19, this place will weather the storm and stay open! I'm trying to support as many gf places during these hard times. Love you, Nuflours!

Elyse S.

Yelp
I'm so happy we have Nuflours! As a person with a few food allergies, and the most dangerous being gluten - there aren't enough GF bakeries in Seattle in my opinion. Nuflours is a GF facility and they have a few options for baked goods with no dairy (my other allergy) or egg (my husbands allergy) albeit not a ton. They have sweet and savory and we particularly enjoy the hamburger buns. They also have giant ice cream sandwiches that are great in the summer! We have also ordered cakes for several different birthdays and the vegan chocolate is really good, and people that don't have allergies have agreed. I wish they had more dairy free options for sweets but will take what I can get.

Cailie E.

Yelp
Amazing selection of gluten free items sold at a fair price. I was visiting from Minnesota and stopped in to pick up a few items to have during my trip and some to bring home to Minnesota. Everything was so fresh and kept really well in the packaging. Will definitely stop back in next time I'm in the area!

Anna-Marie S.

Yelp
super nice woman working who helped me, and the gluten free treats were SO GOOD I would absolutely go back!!

Danielle H.

Yelp
Amazing food that let's you eat like you don't have Celiac's disease. I cannot emphasize how much I love Saturday brunch/lunch/unlimited night time nibbles brought home from here. I love that it's a gluten free bakery that isn't by default Vegan. It makes it so that the pastries have the flakiness/general texture I want and crave. Once a month, my dog and I walk from Belltown to get a treat for me at this location. If I'm willing to walk a couple miles up hill for this place, it must be good.
