Nuggs Ice Cream

When our friends from Germany are in town, ice cream is a daily occurrence. We decided to try Nuggs as we have tried multiple ice cream parlors in the Denver area. Nuggs was a great find. Lots of seating and parking. Their ice cream was creamy and fresh. The service was on point as we were warned that the sizes were large. I opted for two flavors in a single scoop-salted caramel and butterfinger- and got some Reese’s pieces on top. What a real creamy treat. The gal who served us was truly friendly and was very patient. We will definitely be back

My new favorite ice cream shop in Denver. And that's saying a lot with tough competition like Sweet Cow, Little Man and Highpoint. But Nubbs is that good. The flavors were normal and just interesting enough without being too fancy-weird. The quality was 💯‼️ The service was warm, friendly and patient - even right at closing time. The place was cute with indoor and outdoor seating. I'd recommend the Old-something vanilla, which is custard based and was almost as good as Blue Bell homemade vanilla (sorry, not sorry).

I don’t leave reviews often, but was looking for a custom ice cream cake and was not disappointed!!!! :) I gave some inspo photos and loved how it turned out! The cake got soooo many Compliments on not only the design, but also the flavor. Definitely the best ice cream cake I’ve had. Soooo yummy.

My experience at Nuggs Ice Cream was extremely disappointing. While ordering a chocolate milkshake, I was met with an uncomfortable atmosphere. As the lady prepared my shake, she called for someone named Summer from the back room, who then took my payment, while a guy just stared at us from afar. No one bothered to smile or make us feel welcome. This lack of basic customer service made it the most uncomfortable experience I've had at any restaurant or business in Denver. I have no intention of returning or recommending this establishment, and it seems they couldn't care less about how customers are treated.

Came here 3/28/24. Spent close to $50. I forgot to inform the person scooping the ice cream that my teen daughter has a serious anaphylaxis nut allergy. I asked her kindly to remake, which wasn’t hard cause my daughter only ordered 2 scoops. I ensured the lady that it wasn’t her fault, I told her my daughter is a teenager so she tends to forget to mention her allergy beforehand. They did the necessary sanitation, I also complimented her on her face piercings as she had several. It was pretty loud in there, after she made my daughter’s cup again she hands it to me and says “oh and also I’m not a teenager!!”…. I look at her confused because our conversation did not imply I called her a teenager. I kindly told her “I was referring to my daughter and her being forgetful on informing people who are handling her food of her allergy”.,, the word “teenager” was not directed toward her in no shape form or fashion. She didn’t apologize just turned around and walked off after I apologized for her even thinking I said that. Turned my whole experience upside down. Just based off of how my family was treated tonight I will never return to that place until that girl with the piercings is gone. I could not believe she did that to me! Then to make matters worse it was a family right next to me and I know they heard her, it was very embarrassing! You would think she would have shown some empathy towards my daughter’s condition rather than her concerned about if I called her a teenager or not.

Fun ice cream shop on Colfax. Unique and large selection of ice cream flavors. Reasonable price for serving side.

The wife and i split a banana split with everything on it except the coconut and it took about 15 minutes to make it but it was amazing. I would say don't order one with everything If they're busy.
