Nui's Garden Kitchen

Just a simple Thai food truck just before heading up Haleakala. Came here for Take out, you can also dine there they have one picnic table. Had their curry chicken which apparently is their best seller, and their beef pad Thai. Both were good but I preferred the pad Thai, their noodles were cooked perfectly.

Let me tell you why this place is the best… it’s the DETAILS. You can just tell this food is healthy and prepared with care and love. This man really takes pride in what he’s serving people. Look at my beautiful pad Thai, with freshly cut dragonfruit and strawberry papaya on the salad! Look at how the lime peel is decorative! There were fluffy scrambled eggs and tender chicken (not the flat, dry kind you sometimes find at Thai restaurants) in the pad thai! This was absolutely delicious. The sauce was not as heavy and greasy as it can be at some places…. This place is so fresh and healthy. He even puts quail eggs in the curry!

Best Thai food in Hawaii. You anywhere else, you’re wasting your time. Pro move is a LARGE Chicken Curry. I was so sad when it was gone.

I don't know how this wonderful man does it, but we had one of the best pad thai, along with fantastic vegetables and fruit, including an excellent dressing.

Omg what an excellent Thai place!! I would eat here everyday. We had amazing chicken pad thai, shrimp fried rice and Thai ice tea! If you do Skyline Zipline, it's a perfect place to stop and eat after! Sooooo goood!!!

The food was absolutely delicious - some of the best I’ve had!! Pad Thai w/shrimp & cold yummy ice coffee. The owner (Kit) could not have been nicer. Good prices too! Plenty of local fans. Definitely a great stop!!

Delicious!!!!! This was a food truck I had found through these reviews on our way to the Lavendar farm. I am glad that I stopped by to try. We had ordered stir fry tofu, pad Thai and fried rice. Each of the items included fresh sprouts and carrots with a delicious dressing. The food truck was right in front of a small fruit/veggie stand. We also bought some delicious papayas at the stand. We brought these to go and ate it up at the Lavendar farm And then dinner at Haleakala before we saw the beautiful sunset. One of the best Thai foods I have tasted in Maui.

We stopped by Nuis garden kitchen after a long walk at the nearby kula botanical gardens. The front of house/chef was extremely friendly and helpful answer any questions that we had! I had the tofu pad Thai and my husband had the smoked noodles. I really wanted to like the dishes as I LOVE Thai food, however the flavors did not meet the mark for me. There was just something off about the flavor combos and I only ate a few bites. My husband said the same about his dish. I would go again and see if our experience was a one off as the other reviews are top notch!! There is a small parking area in front as well as a bench for seating.

Had the opportunity to stop by on our way from Haleakala to Haiku. Food was fresh, flavorful and light. Super tasty and well-seasoned without excessive use of sauces. Vegetables tasted very fresh. Salad dressing on the side salad was a treat. Thai iced tea wasn't overly sweet or heavy. I don't usually like fried rice but I loved this fried rice. So did my toddler! Would definitely return!

One man show. This man cooks some serious food. Pork heaven, chicken curry, smoked noodles, everything was delicious. Don't let the trailer fool you, he cooks some of the best food we've had in Maui.

Food was delicious. Unassuming road side stand operating in front of family farm significantly impacted by fires. Had pad Thai, smoked egg noodle, and pork heaven. All delicious. Our best meal in Maui. Would highly recommend.

Funky little trailer making fresh food with love. Don't know how this place gets anything less than 5stars. Some are way too picky. The dishes we had were beyond tasty... they oozed Aloha and deliciousness. Thai Coffee also. If you don't like sweet, stay back. Up Country Comfort Food Deluxe!

Such a delicious hidden Thai spot! I've been wanting to try this place for awhile - it's a little tucked away and it was absolutely delicious! My husband and I both got their Pad Thai - he got the beef and I got vegan - and it was super flavorful. The vegan one has a variety of nuts, veggies, and mushrooms and it came with such a nice side salad (the dressing is amaaaazing!). (My pic doesn't do it justice, plus it got tossled a bit in the car.) It's a food truck but there are some benches (some closer to the farmer's market area behind the food truck as well). When we went it was decently busy but it only took like 15 min to order and get our food. So worth it if you are a Thai food fan!!!

Pad thai and Chicken Satay is awesome!! The chef was really friendly. Nice spot to sit and eat.

We live right down the road and Maui Nui is a life saver when we realize we're low on ingredients or are just not up for cooking. Fresh ingredients and super tasty! Consistently good quality. Their farm got affected by the fire's in August, support this business!

Food was fresh and tasty! I appreciated how there is no MSG in the food (as stated on the sign) and how it was not salty. Most food truck/take out Asian food tend to very salty. The food here was very flavorful. Arrived on a Monday afternoon around 3:30pm to find out that most of the protein options were gone. I think this shows how tasty the food is!

What a gem,we just seen a sign for the farmers market,we went and in front was this Thai Kitchen Great food, fresh vegetables I don't normally like curry, this place had great vegetable curry, garlic shrimp pad Thai all of it was great. So happy we found this place.

Best food we ate during our week in Maui! Fresh and savory our picks were Pad Thai with chicken and stir fry with pork. The side salad was made memorable with the best peanut dressing! We will make the trip to upcountry every time we visit Maui just to eat from Nui and Kit's food truck! Yum!!!

A little off the beaten path but what isn't in Maui? Food was really good and fresh, they also have a farmers market and I guess the veggies come from their farm. The owner was super nice and even gave us a free bottle of water when I asked for 3X Spicy. Btw, 3x spicy is REALLY Freaking spicy so beware! We got the stir fry and pad thai, so good and amazing flavor. I dreamt about this for weeks after returning to the mainland and tried and failed to recreate it at home. Guess i gotta go back to Maui.

Cute hidden spot, food was good...small portions for the price. There are picnic benches incase you want to eat there. Only open Thursday-Sunday. Small farmer's market next door (cash only).

Found this awesome little spot after a rainy hike. We ordered the shrimp pad Thai and chicken curry. Some of the best Thai I have ever had and reasonably priced! The guy running it was super friendly and awesome!

We stopped by this food truck since we were visiting another site close by, but now I'm certain we will be back, probably more than once, during our stay on this island. When ordering, I was asking what the flavor was on the heavenly pork. I was offered a taste test! Immediately sold! The portion sizes were good and the food delicious and hot. They also have their farm behind the truck and sell plants and fresh produce. Definitely worth planning for while visiting the mountain side.

Worst service ever !!! I use this Thai food truck 2 times a week and love their food. No more. When we arrived this afternoon, no one was around. No worries , we will wait. When the guy who always helps us arrives he takes our order and We wait on the picnic bench. I ask him if I could pick 2 Lilikoi's that were hanging on the vine and He said ok. A minute later , the other guy who must be The owner started yelling at me. I told him I asked but he was yelling thru the screen at me. Such a jerk. Then... before we were finished eating, he grabs his hose and starts spraying the bush behind us and tells us to leave! I asked for five More minutes and he said NO Leave! He got my car wet... I had to roll up the window. Worst customer service ... so rude. You will not get any more of my business !!!

If you are looking for the best Thai food upcountry, head to Maui Nui Farms good truck! I used to go to Thai Mee Up in Pukalani. I did not like how the food is always sweet, especially the peanuts. Maui Nui Farms food truck is on the side of the road next to Maui Nui Farms. I LOVE their Beef salad, Pad Thai, and stir-fry. The portioning is a lot! The side dish when ordering a plate, has fruits from orange, pitataya, and side salad. They have the best peanut dressing!!! You get the nost bang for your buck! I highly reccomend them!

This is a food truck that appears permanently parked in Kula near the farmer's market. We say it on our way out and had to stop after driving the road to Hana like apparently a few other folks. I had the vegetable curry because the chicken curry was sold out. I also had the pork bowl so to add to it. It was thicker than I usually like curry but it was obviously because it had been simmering all day. The flavors were really good! We also got the pad thai which was okay. We asked if he could make it spicy and he said he would add peppers on the side and they were forgotten. We like spicy food and you aren't going to find it here.

I was treated rudely and my experience was disappointing. I ordered two meals, then one smoothie. I proceeded to ask for 2 cups and offered to pay for the cup. I wanted to split the smoothie up for my very small toddlers. The gentleman denied me and made no attempt at understanding or accommodation. I will not be returning and would not recommend.

Must try. You can't go wrong with this place. Tried vegan pad Thai and it's delicious and filling.

Favorite food truck on the island by far! Amazing food and very friendly staff. Also there's an awesome little farmers market and plant nursery in the back. I always look forward to seeing Nui when she's around. Such a hardworking lady!

My favorite food truck on island with Thai cuisine. Not only is it always fresh but you can tell the owner puts a lot of love in his recipes. It's a must go to whenever we're upcountry. I recommend this place to everyone!!

Beautifully prepared and vibrantly flavored Thai truck takeout, made from produce that come right from the farm behind it. Best place to grab a quick quality lunch when visiting Haleakala. We also found time to shop in the farmstand, which had some nice bargains on fruits and veggies.

Food here used to be really good but the consistency has gone down hill. Service is not good , they act like its a privilege for you to eat there . Disappointing.

I like to shop at the farm for fruits and veggies so for me this truck is not only convenient but it's also really good food. Wait can be a little long if there are ppl in front of you but I guess it would be the same at any other truck. So far I had curry, pad thai and tom kah and liked it all. Sitting outside is beautiful and folks friendly.

Amazing, fresh, authentic Thai food! We'll definitely be back and would highly recommend it! The chef is quite the comedian and you see where he gets it from once you meet his mother out back in the garden and farmers market. It's like taking a trip back to Thailand

For one my order was finished very quickly! I loved the variety of fresh veggies they used in the dishes I ordered. The shrimp stir fry was delicious! Very reasonably priced and easy to find location. Definitely will be going back!

We enjoyed this quaint little food truck that was off the beaten path. After many adventures, this was the perfect place to stop at! There were many delicious options on the menu- but we went with our favorite- tofu pad thai! The food was flavorful and came out quickly! I enjoyed the salad and peanut dressing to go with it too. If you are in the area, I'd definitely recommend trying them out!

I will preface this review by stating that I AM NOT a Thai food aficionado. Not at all a fan of curry, or pad thai....I have found that I have a distaste for things cooked in coconut milk, and generally things that are overly sugary and sweet, as much of Thai food can be. With that said, the food at Nui's is AMAZING! I have tried the fried rice with tofu, pad thai, beef salad, roast pork 'heaven,' and pumpkin curry, all of which I deem absolutely delightful! What sets them apart is the brilliant balancing of flavors. Sweet, acid, heat, sours, bitter and fragrant aromatics... nothing too 'saucy'... take for example the pad thai. I am used to pad thai that is coated in some slippery sweet peanut sauce... here the peanut sauce is served on the side (delicious) and the flavors of the pad thai with out it evoke a more subtle and savory dish, much more my preference. Most entrees are served with a fresh salad, and generally are loaded down with vegetables. The portions are huge, and everything is made fresh to order. I am thrilled to live upcountry and a mere two miles away from this family farm food truck. Gone are the days of wondering about the 'I love Thai food so much!!' ilk. With a worthy experience, I think I am beginning to understand.

Normally I don't really care about service, just the taste of the food. But this is an exception. A total of 6 of us decided to grab food here after visiting the Maui Nui farm market because the lady at the market was super nice and friendly and the items at the market was fresh from the farm. We expected the same quality from the food truck because it's a family owned business. We ordered a total of 3 pork heavens, 1 smoothie, 1 curry, and 2 Pad Thais. They gave us everything but missed one pork heaven. When asked about it, they screamed at us for lying. One of us didn't get a receipt because we told them to keep the change, so we couldn't even show them everything we ordered. We left immediately after because the toxic attitude just completely ruined our vacation mood. When we looked at the food later, they also didn't give the right protein for the order. Furthermore, one of us asked for no green onion and we saw him writing it down, but it came with green onion anyways. Food quality wise, it's average. I'd give it 3* probably if it was just about food quality. The Pad Thai was filling at least.

Very rude customer service. They act like it's a privilege to eat there. I wanted the Garlic Shrimp with white rice instead of fried rice and they basically refused to serve me.

This place used to be good and the people used to be nice. The food is now disgusting and the people pilau. I ordered veggie fried rice. The cook was so rude to me when I asked him questions about the menu because I couldn't understand him while speaking with his mask on. Even my nine year old granddaughter was appalled at his attitude and the way he spoke to me. The dish was void of flavor and the rice was clumpy and hard like it had been scraped from the bottom of last week's pot. I literally felt sick after the first few bites. Threw the rest in the trash. Skip this pilau food truck!!!

This has always been my favorite food truck upcountry. I always ordered here when I would be working out in the field in Kula. Flavorful and good portions. Last visit was a little hard to order over the phone, because they didn't have staff during COVID to take phone orders. However, they still get my 5 stars! Customer patience is a virtue for these places trying to make it during these times
