"You can only reheat your leftover green beans and ravioli so many times before needing to go to Num Pang and pick up a sandwich. Like a lot of other fast-casual spots, there are a few different proteins that come in your choice of salad, grain bowl, or sandwich. But the Cambodian sandwiches here are better than what you’ll find at most dining establishments with their own iOs apps. They come on huge soft baguettes with pickled carrots, cilantro, chili mayo and your choice of meat (the catfish and skirt steak are both really good). While there isn’t any seating in Num Pang, but there’s an outdoor plaza about 100 feet away with benches and metal tables with chairs fastened into the ground." - Hannah Albertine

I was visiting NYC and getting ready to go out for the day and saw the one of the owners on the CBS morning show. I decided to give it a try and was very pleased with the food and the staff on 48th. Had the sausage sandwich which they recommended if I enjoyed a little spicy. It was outstanding and I went back today for lunch and wasn't disappointed with my selection. Great food and reasonable prices. I hope the owners would consider expanding to sunny California (Orange County) area as i know they would be welcomed with opened arms.

This has become our go-to spot for a quick, cheap and tasty bite before Broadway shows. The food is significantly better than you get from most chain sandwich shops (as of this review they have six locations around NYC) and they even have a happy hour until 7pm during which a couple of their sandwiches are only $6. That's a steal in the Times Square area. We generally go with the pulled pork (highly recommended), but there is also a chicken sandwich available at happy hour prices that we've yet to try. If you like spice and need more to eat than just a sandwich, the side order of slaw is also very good.

Do yourself a favour and get a sandwich from this place! The line was long, but moved quickly and my sandwich was ready in a matter of minutes. The pickled vegetables were delicious, the brisket was soft and flavourful, and the bread had a nice crunchy outside with a nice soft inside which soaked up the juices and chili mayo perfectly. I am definitely going back several times before this trip is over!

I had a brisket sandwich here on a friends recommendation and was really impressed. While there wasn't a ton of meat and It wasn't evenly spaced across the whole roll the sandwich was very good overall. It had a good crunch to it and the mayo added a nice creaminess. Prices are a bit high but they're filling sandwiches. I got an ordered of the corn on the cob which was interesting and pretty tasty but it doesn't travel well so I wouldn't order one to go.

So I've been to Num Pang several times before and I think I finally figured out what to order. Previously I've even given a three star review for a different location because the quality wasn't worth the price (Ordered the catfish and tiger shrimp sandwiches). Anyways let me tell you what I did differently this time around- I ordered the five spice glazed pork belly and the chicken salad. Let me start with the pork belly sandwich- The baguette was perfectly toasted and contained succulent pork belly with high quality ingredients. The flavor of the sandwich was perfect. The cilantro, cucumbers and carrots were so good. I also ordered the chicken salad which was good but not as great as the pork belly sandwich. Go here if you work close by or even if you don't work close by. They have a happy hour check-in offer during the week M-F 4-7pm. I feel like I might go back here for dinner the pork belly was that good.

Ordered lunch from here and I was super satisfied and elated! I got the pork belly brown rice bowl. The order was a bit slow and I was confused why it seems like everyone got their food before me. I was probably just really hangry. But once I bit down into the delicious fresh ingredients, my frown turned upside down hah! The sauces go really well with this bowl ... I just wish there were other veggies other than the carrot to really mix it up. The pork belly was marinated perfectly and the fat was not overwhelming. It was portioned correctly even if it looks small in the box, believe me you will be full!

Delicious Cambodian sandwiches can be found here! Num Pang's sandwiches are very fresh and flavorful, my favorites being the coconut tiger shrimp and original pork belly. Their house made blood orange lemonade is also a must try.

This is a great option in Times Square, where the restaurants are mostly national chains. Here you'll find Cambodian-style sandwiches -- the bread is baked fresh daily and they have interesting flavors like Peppercorn Catfish. Give it a try!
