Every cider we tasted was a true delight. There are a lot of dry ciders to choose from, but they surely have something for every cider fan. The staff was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their favorite ciders if you ask. The inside atmosphere is earthy and welcoming, but the open air seating is a cozy setting to share a couple drinks with friends. This place will definitely be put in our MN cider tour rotation.

Google
My wife and I visit often. Great location and options! The hard ciders are all good, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is pleasant. We primarily drink, play cards, and eat from the food truck outside. The ciders are gluten-free, as are the pizzas from the food truck, which benefits my wife. I'm not gluten-free, but the pizza is delicious. I'd rather drink beer than Cider, but the Cider here is good. Next door you can grab smoked brisket (EXCELLENT!!!), beer, and cocktails. Number 12 stocks many games and has various seating and room for your niche, comfort, and pleasure. Come check it out! We'll be back and hope to see you there!

I recently hosted a bridal shower at Number 12 Cider in the Barrel Room space and the Number 12 team was so wonderful to work with. Communication was easy right from the beginning- my inquiry to the space was answered immediately and Halina took the time to thoughtfully respond to all of my questions. The logistics of ordering drink tickets, setting up the space, and ordering food was easy to understand in the e-mails sent. The staff we worked with day of were very friendly and helped to answer last minute questions I had about cleaning up the space once the party was over. I highly recommend using Number 12 to host an event, or just to hang out and grab a few of their delicious drinks!

Google
They had a wide variety of ciders ranging from dry to sweet, classic to innovative. The reason 3 stars is that it is $4-5 for a little short glass of cider. I highly recommend the flight. It is a better bang for your buck. Also the music was way too loud and it was hard to hear who I was with.

Raquel

Google
Great space and they host fun community events! I’ve rented an area of their tap room for a private party and it was reasonably priced and super easy process. My whole group loved the ciders and pizza. Would highly recommend them for private parties!

Mari Franzen

Google
We hosted a gender reveal party with some friends at Number 12 Cider and had the best experience. The room, food, drinks and service were amazing. I highly recommend. Halina was also great to work with and made the whole planning process very seamless. Great, welcoming space to host and any all of your events!

Joseph Gartner

Google
Fantastic cider selections, from dry flights to sweet flights to everything in between. The staff are always friendly and courteous and the space is comfortably laid back with style. One of my personal favorites in the North Loop.

Google
We were visiting from out of town and were excited to try this place because of the variety of cider they have. The place itself was large, spacious, well decorated and had plenty of seating. Their ciders were also pretty tasty. Downsides, they only served food from a food truck parked in front of the building which was backed up with orders and the servers at the bar weren’t helpful or friendly. They were almost impatient when we were ordering even though there wasn’t line behind us. Somewhat disappointing but worth a try.

Carley R.

Yelp
I absolutely love Number 12! Every other week my friends and I go to Number 12 on Wednesday for trivia. They have great cider and trivia is fun. I love all their cider. You can get a small or a tall. They even offer flights so you can sample multiple ciders. They have multiple different seating areas and areas to rent out for parties. They also have TVs for sports, darts, and bean bags. The vibes are great. The atmosphere is awesome. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They also have free parking down the block. Overall, highly recommend checking it out.

Yelp
The location for this cidery couldn't be any better. It is within a block of so many other locations to visit and breweries. We went to 4, all within a block and a half of each other. Walking up, you can tell this is a newer development in town, much like the rest of the city, and they had a food truck right outside that I believe was pizza. Inside, first impression was super cute and well designed and though early on a Friday had a good amount of people that just continued to grow as time slightly moved on. I will say the ordering process was less than welcoming if I am being honest as we kinda felt like we were bothering the guy behind the counter, and he felt snobbish and really disengaged to offer any information or suggestions. Okay, we get it. It is cider, but your job is to sell your product, so maybe at least talk to your patrons. We ordered the sweet flight along with the two extras they had on the menu that were listed as sweet, but honestly, they were all more on the dry side. I love ciders and definitely have had more than my share of sweet and dry, and these were dry with one exception that both Ben and I "fought" over because it was the best out of the 6 we ordered. Would I go back, for sure, to try whatever is new on the menu the next time I am in Minneapolis, but it would only be to try the new items.

Howard L.

Yelp
On a really cold, chilly day in Minneapolis I wanted to check out this Cider house. There's a bunch of similar places but this was the only place I wanted to visit. The sweet Cider Flight I got was great, they really pack a punch too their really well made. The atmosphere is really cozy as if you're at a fancy cocktail bar. If you happen to be hungry, they happen to have a food truck outside and you can order your food and they'll deliver inside. Staff was friendly, great merchandise and would love to come back and visit some of their upcoming events.

Kyle P.

Yelp
Extremely good service, we had a drink spill at our table and they brought us a new one right away. Cozy atmosphere and tasty drinks.

Megan M.

Yelp
I love Number 12! Great cider, great pizza, and lots of places to sit. I went for trivia and they've really up-ed their game. They have better timing with their questions, and I found their questions to not be too niche as to feel impossible (as some places where I've gone to trivia do). I also love all of their cider, you truly can't go wrong. As for parking, the lot just down the street is open for Number 12 parking! It says permit, but on Number 12's social they posted a while ago that folks can park in the lot (at least I do whenever I go after dinner time).

Mark K.

Yelp
I have been meaning to get to this cidery for a long time and I finally had a reason when I was seeing a show at a local venue. This is the perfect place to grab a quick bite and drink before heading to a show nearby. They have a huge variety of ciders to choose from or - if you can't choose - flights! I got the sweet flight and, though not super sweet, was delicious. It was the perfect amount of each cider and in total was a great pairing with the wood-fired pizza from their permanent pizza truck. I got a Margherita pizza from the pizza truck. The sizes are personal sizes, or for two people if you barely eat. Something I wasn't sure about - the truck will give you a number and you can go inside the cidery and they will bring your pizza in. You can also order from the tables by scanning a QR code! Unfortunately it was a rainy fall day, so we couldn't enjoy the outdoor seating. Even though a nice employee was setting up one of their many fire pits. I would love to return here in the summer when I can enjoy the outdoor seating and maybe catch an event there. Only 4 stars because, overall, I felt the food and drinks were a little subpar. I wasn't amazed by anything I ate or drank. But the prices were very good (~$12 for the flight and $10 for a pizza).

Sydney S.

Yelp
Number 12 Cider has been a North Loop staple for me since 2020! Their outdoor patio, fire pits & hot beer were perfect during the pandemic when we were trying to stay outdoors. Now that we're back to the usual & enjoying the sunshine - I still love Number 12! The location is perfect for a brewery/pub crawl, being right near some other awesome spots like Inbound, Stormking, Fulton & First Draft. They have a free parking lot setup too, so you don't have to worry too much about meter parking. The environment here is great! They have cornhole & picnic tables outside - along with their delicious Little Tomato woodfired pizza food truck. In the colder months/at night, their fire pits are the perfect vibe. The inside has a very cozy, wooden feel - while also having some fun photogenic decorations and string lights. Only downside is it can get very loud and warm if a lot of people are present - at a young professionals of Minneapolis event tonight, it was very hard to hear our guest speaker and we had a few people accidentally walk through our reserved space. But overall, worth being a regular North Loop brewery to stop at! As someone who loves cider, I love that it's all there is to offer! There's everything from dry to sweet, including some delicious specialty cider. If it's your first time, I highly recommend trying either their sweet or dry flight to get a taste of all the offerings! If you're looking for something more fun and exciting - their slushees are delicious and definitely a summer staple of the twin cities. This time around I tried their Cupp-A-Joe, which is coffee infused and a collaboration with Corner Coffee! I was delightfully surprised at how well a sweet cider went with the subtle taste of coffee - almost like a sweet espresso shot. Definitely recommend for those looking for something unique! Overall, I'll continue to regular at Number 12, and love seeing them switch up and add some new concoctions!

Yelp
We went to Number Twelve with a friend from out of town. I got the Cider Old Fashioned and I thought it was really good and I would definitely order it again. Our table also got the Dry Flight and Sweet Flight. Number Twelve has a lot of board games to enjoy while you talk and they have a Pizza Truck called Little Tomato that has really good gluten free pizza and cheese bread. I didn't get the pizza or cheese bread this time but I have in the past. The ambiance is nice and relaxing with pretty string lights throughout. The staff is really friendly and there's plenty of parking along the streets and an adjacent parking lot (open after business hours).

Alice T.

Yelp
Loved this place! Affordable, delicious, and best of all was the environment. Outside was pure summer happiness, playing 60s happy music and everyone playing cornhole and laughing. They have a photobooth and a huge assortment of board games. I loved it here!

Michaela E.

Yelp
We recently were in Minneapolis for a wedding and it is my husband and I's favorite city. We went to Number Twelve Cider for a gathering the day after the wedding and had so much fun. We tried so many different ciders and bought goodies to bring back with us. We have added it to our list for when we go back next year. It is a great place to hang out during a nice summer day!

Aleah H.

Yelp
I finally got around to trying this local spot, and I am so glad I did! They have lots of cider options including a dry flight and a sweet flight if you can't decide on just one! Their space is also huge and includes fire pits outside, so I felt very COVID safe. I am so glad they have a pizza truck! I found the pepperoni pizza a bit underwhelming, but the Pyro was SOOO yummy. I definitely plan to order it again when I return because it tastes amazing and is a pretty unique option. All of the ciders I tried tasted amazing, and I think their options are diverse enough for anyone to find something they'd enjoy! I did feel like they were less carbonated than other ciders I try, but that is more of an observation than a complaint! Parking was a little challenging, so just budget a few extra minutes for that when you visit!

Megan S.

Yelp
Enjoyed Wednesday night trivia here. Good selection of ciders to choose from & frozen ciders which are great for summer.

Hallie O.

Yelp
Went here for a first date! Great cider and atmosphere. Parking was a bit difficult to find and there is no free parking. But, they had a food truck out front and this place was fun.

Grace P.

Yelp
I went here for a bachelorette outing! The atmosphere is lighthearted, busy, and enjoyable. I enjoyed my flight and my friends enjoyed their slushies. They also had an alcohol free juice option which was nice. I would recommend.

Rebeca C.

Yelp
Amazing cider and service!! Fun place to go out for a drink and get together with friends. Wasn't sure what to order at first and was able to get a sample of a few ciders. Will definitely be coming back

Trina V.

Yelp
Great spot with a great variety of ciders. You can get the suggested cider flight, or build your own for an extra $2 or so. They also had popcorn for purchase. The taproom is a good size and is broken down into segments (there was a stage in one of the areas with a live band the night we went, and a more private area with darts). They had a lot of seating indoors, but there was also seating outdoors with fire-pits and a pizza food truck.

Cory I.

Yelp
Lovin the vibe. I'm from west Minnetonka and just came upon this place on a motorbike ride. Outside there is a trailer that's serving fired pizza. This pizza is delicious. It's a thin crust but not so thin that it's all crunchy. The crust is fluff and crispy. Pepperoni is the best. Big place this is. And next door is another brewery for beers.

Keith P.

Yelp
So, you grow up in Minnesota and your parents make the annual trip to the Apple orchard. It's one of the highlights of your entire year. You get Apple donuts, Apple rollovers, Apple cookies, Apple pie, Apple butter, Apple jelly, Apples dipped in caramel, and of course Apple cider. And you smiled. Your childhood is complete and you are happy. Then godammit you have to grow up. You have to work. You have a mortgage. Marriage. Cars. Taxes. Kids. Mowing the damn grass. And God forbid the fucking furnace goes out. It's hell out there, kids. You'll stop and try to remember the things that made you happy as a child. Was it the apples? Yes, I think it was. And then the folks at Number 12 Cider call you and say they have that same feeling all barreled up and ready to dispense into your own personal glass. They'll tell you they put an extra ingredient in there that makes all those bad things seem......not so bad anymore. It's a hard cider. Because life is hard. But it's a little less so with a Number 12 Cider in your hand.

Kedar D.

Yelp
Number Twelve Cider is a cool, spacious cidery in downtown Minneapolis, close to Target Field. We got their dry flight ($12) and generally enjoyed it, though the Voyage option is by far the driest and the best cider they have. I personally didn't like the others, though my girlfriend and her friend did. None of these hold a candle to the out-of-this-world ciders at Social Ciderwerks in NE Minneapolis, but I'm glad Number 12 is around. Little Tomato Pie, a pizza truck, happened to be parked at the cidery, so I got a vegan pizza from them ($13 + $1 for Follow Your Heart cheese) and thought it was pretty good.

Sarah B.

Yelp
This was my second visit here and I must say I came out liking the ciders a lot more than the first. I took my friend who is completely gluten free so it was the perfect place for us to meet up. We both enjoyed the ciders and then got a pizza from the truck outside. I had heard amazing things about this pizza from others and not only was it gluten free which I was hesitant on but it was GREAT. We got the margarita pizza and it was gluten free, it came out quick, fresh, warm, and very tasteful. The cider I had (can't remember the name) was a lot better tasting than my first visit. I'm not a huge cider person (reasoning for the 4 stars and not 5) but this is a great stop to add on your list when hopping around the north loop. Would be a great first spot since they have a few drinks that are similar to a mimosa as well! Happy to see this place doing well - it is so adorable inside, makes me want to hang out there all day!

Theresa C.

Yelp
This is an incredible spot in the North Loop. The outdoor patio space is dog friendly and offers a lot of shade. There are shared tables for guests with a food truck as well. There's also a nice space to play cornhole for two groups. The inside of the brewery is incredible, with lots of different spaces to hang out. The seating is all cute, full of character, and comfortable. You can choose a more intimate space upstairs in the loft or opt for something more social and open in the main floor. There are games available to play as well. Today, they had 3 different slushees and I tried the currant/watermelon. It was very flavorful fora slushee and was a smooth texture. They had about 20 different ciders and a few popcorn options as well.

Holly B.

Yelp
Came here to meet up with some friends and was impressed. It was crowded but we were still able to find a spot. They were having a St. Patrick's Day special, which was their green Blarney Cider for $6, which was a great deal! It was very good. We also ordered some pizza to go from the food truck out front, Little Tomato, and it was absolutely delicious.

Lorie A.

Yelp
Highly recommend a visit if you are a fan of cider. Both the dry & sweet flight were delicious. The goat pizza from Little Tomato was so yummy. Fast service. Friendly staff!

Jared F.

Yelp
The ciders are good, not the strongest flavors but all very solid. The service was great and the indoor and outdoor seating provide great vibes for large and small groups alike. If you go to this spot you need to try the food truck, the pizza was the highlight of the visit!

Bethany A.

Yelp
I was really impressed by the interior and exterior of Number Twelve Cider. My complaint with many breweries and cider houses in the Twin Cities is they always feel a bit cold or austere. Number Twelve did not have this issue at all! There are big comfy chairs and plush booths throughout. The patio had a green space where people can play bags/corn hole. There were patio heaters *win!* The cider list was lengthy, with a variety of drinks to chose from. There was a food truck (I believe it's there consistently) serving wood fire pizza. The pizza was pretty dang good (much better than a lot of brewery food I've had) and reasonably priced. Overall, I had a friendly bar tender and a positive experience. I'll definitely be back!

John M.

Yelp
amazing ciders, plenty of activities like darts, bags, board games and a Photo Booth! As far as food goes they have a little pizza truck outside and some awesome bbq next door! Definitely worth checking out especially if you go to a twins game!

Jeannette D.

Yelp
What a lively vibe here! Great Cider! Make sure you try a Cider Slushee too! Lots of board games available to play with your friends... or bring your own.

Nicole B.

Yelp
This place is DELIGHTFUL and I'm mad at myself for not visiting sooner! By far my favorite cidery in the Twin Cities. They have so many options, and such inventive and delicious options too - my favorites were Black Market and Empire. The space is big inside (and they have a patio with several picnic tables) and super cute. Friendly staff, amazing drinks, great atmosphere, what's not to love!

Franny C.

Yelp
Cutest little venue lit with Edison bulbs across the ceiling, long craft wooden tables and lounge seating tucked into a building in North Loop. I'm not the biggest fan of ciders but came with a friend who highly recommended it. I asked for a recommendation from the bartender for a beer that was sweet but not tart or too much fruit and he recommended the Trilogy. It tasted like apple juice so pretty good! This cute place is a perfect stop before or after dinner for a date or with friends. There's also a flight option for anyone who's indecisive! Street parking was ample but I can imagine it gets pretty crowded on the weekends so take a ride share option if you can!

David N.

Yelp
Came here on a Wednesday night for trivia and I have to say I'm pretty impressed. I'm a huge fan of ciders and not a beer drinker at all, so this is right up my alley. The interior is spacious and very hip - this isn't a bar, but almost has a coffeehouse vibe. They had a dozen drinks on the menu (not sure if this is coincidence), and we had their Sweet Flight of four sweet ciders and finished up with a hot toddy. All in all, they have eight different ciders on tap and another four of their drinks involve mixers. I like sweet ciders and I'd say two of the four on the flight I liked but didn't love, and the other two I wouldn't drink again. One was a semi-dry which was an odd inclusion on a "Sweet" flight, but looking at the menu they only have three "sweet/semi-sweet" ciders. There's no food, but they seem to be partnered with a pizza truck outside such that you can order and they'll bring the pizza in to you and you can eat it inside with no problems. Overall I loved the atmosphere and could see myself hanging out here. I wish they had a cider that blew my socks off but they have a couple that I'd be fine nursing.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Quick evening out to try a cider shop on our visit this week. It's a cute little place. Staff was great. Just... they didn't have options to fill growlers. Huge cider no go to the hubby. They did sell 16oz cans, but that's not what we went for. Losing out in some sales we feel. Now the cider... we go for dry ciders. We both felt it was a bit lacking. Dull. Out of what we tried the black market was good. It was a SD. The helix was something I liked. It was refreshing but VERY light.

Kacey M.

Yelp
Not being big cider drinkers, my husband and I hadn't prioritized visiting here, but we tagged along with a friend recently and were pleasantly surprised! We both really enjoyed the Double Barrel cider. There was a large, dog-friendly outdoor space with picnic tables, food trucks and corn hole. The staff was nice- in fact, the owner stopped by our table to check in. It was crowded with a long line to get drinks but we were still able to find a spot with a larger group. We will be back!

Becca A.

Yelp
Great cider selections as well as good game options to hang out with friends! Or just a good environment as well to hang out.

Abbie F.

Yelp
One here on a Saturday night after the twins game. The place was bustling!! There are a lot of people and a fair number of kids. There was an absolutely incredible DJ that was spinning and playing instruments at the same time. He was incredible! Was able to sit on to comfortable chairs so I could see the DJ and also enjoy many different siders. The Siren and the Barrel 44 or my two favorites. We had the sweet flight and I liked two out of the four. I didn't think their flights were too pricey but their individual beers are kind of expensive in my opinion. Lots of people were getting pizzas from the food truck outside. They looked really good and since I'm still trying not to eat dairy- so cheese on a pizza isn't part of my current options. I would definitely go to this place again especially if I was at a Minnesota sporting event!

Hayley B.

Yelp
Visited Number 12 Cider as part of a bachelorette party with a very large group and they couldn't have been more accommodating. They were able to serve everyone in our party in a timely manner and the tour was great! I went with the Helix Cider and really enjoyed the dry taste. Nice set up, food for groups, would definitely consider a return trip!

Rylee W.

Yelp
We were really excited to try a local cidery when we stayed in Minneapolis this weekend. Number 12 did not disappoint! We tried the sweet flight and loved it. We especially liked Trilogy and Cortship. The bartender was nice and explained everything to us and the guests next to us, so we learned a lot about the company. We were thinking of trying the pizza but had to quickly leave to meet with our Airbnb host. The only thing I was disappointed with is that they don't have any way of taking cider home. She said they will be getting growlers in the next few weeks, but we were hoping to buy some bottles or cans to bring home. Maybe next time.

Cameron B.

Yelp
I had the pepperoni pizza and the helix, and uncle fitz drinks. The pizza was solid, a great addition by the food truck to complement the overall vibe. Helix was a classic easy drinking cider while the uncle fits was a heavier alcohol forward adventure.

Meghan M.

Yelp
What a great spot! The cider slushy was amazing. I had a mix of the raspberry and pineapple, and what a treat on a hot day. The cherry cider was also delicious. We'll definitely be back soon.

Jessica F.

Yelp
This is my favorite cidery in the Minneapolis area. I love the atmosphere whether you're there in the winter or in the summer when it all opens up. Both different experiences but equally as great. There's a good mixtures if ciders from sweet to dry and in between. Love coming back to this place!

Yvonne M.

Yelp
This is an excellent spot before a Twins game. It's literally across the street from the stadium. There are a few breweries and this place very near the stadium and each other. This is my top pick prior to a game. They have an excellent selection of ciders. I've tried several and like them all, but Barrel 44 is my favorite (so smooth). The folks serving are quick to offer suggestions. I've encountered a few now and they are all very knowledgeable. The space is large and calming. It never seems noisy in there. It's very clean and aesthetically pleasing. There is a pizza truck outside, possibly permanent, for wood fire pizzas. They also have gluten free, which was a pleasant surprise.

John D.

Yelp
We found this little hidden gem today and I'm pretty sure it's our new favorite spot! Our afternoon adventure started with a stop at Inbound Brewco (another great place) and we spotted #12's sign from there. We moseyed over to #12 with no expectations. My girlfriend and I both ordered the "sweet" sampler flights, and ordered a sample of the Barrel 44. All were unique and delicious! I think the Barrel 44 was my personal favorite. We talked to the owners almost the entire time we were there and it was fun to hear their stories and passion for the cidery. Super nice people! We're definitely going to spread the word to friends and family to come check this place out. My girlfriend wants to go back tomorrow and try the "dry" flights and get one of their pizzas. Too soon? Nah!!

Brittany R.

Yelp
Fun place! Came here on a week night with a friend. We each got a flight. I wasn't a huge fan of all of the ciders, but what there were a few that caught my attention. I'm excited to continuing going back and tasting new flavors. The spot itself is very large with a lot of seating, which includes and upstairs. It's a nice cidery smack dab in the middle of 4 larger North Loop breweries.

Stephen S.

Yelp
What a great place to relax. The atmosphere is beautiful and the staff is attentive and friendly. The Ciders are high in alcohol vs beer Excellent tasting shared. You can do a flight or individual. Quite a variety made with various types of apples. The space is large and filled by a youthful crowd. Little Tomato is the food truck with incredible pizzas. Wonderful selections of different choices for a unique experience.

Jamey B.

Yelp
Wonderful ciders, we tried the sweet flight and loved it! There are tons of options to sample and all are very well detailed on the menu. The interior space is cozy yet industrial with lots of seating for big groups. This is a new little gem in north loop that is the perfect spot for a chilly fall day.

Jennifer B.

Yelp
This is the first cidery I've visited in Minneapolis outside of Sociable. Wow! Right around the corner from Fulton, Insight and Modist. Tucked away in a warehouse. Super cute updated interior with both bars and booth seating and also some cushier couches. The bartender was super knowledgeable and gave us 2 samples on top of our flights, and explained the back story of the ciders. Every cider is really unique - not the watered down different kind of apple junk that's too sweet at most cideries - try the maple cider and also the black currant - really unique. They also have their own pizza truck outside which is awesome. We got one "the Turk" with a melty egg on top which was garlicky and delicious. Prices are super affordable too - we paid about $50 for 2 pizzas and 2 flights with four samples each, plus the 2 free bonus samples we got.

Austin J.

Yelp
I'm relatively new to Minneapolis, and the one thing I really missed about Arizona was my favorite cider place (Cider Corps, if you're ever in Mesa!). Well Number 12 Cider is just as good! The selection is excellent, and the quality is great on all the ciders I've tried. Even if you think you're not a cider fan, give this place a shot and it will change your mind. I just had a barrel aged cider that was excellent. Ample indoor seating and the atmosphere is really hip and fun.

Robyn S.

Yelp
Ordered 2 cider flights, Flo-rider was the favorite of our group. Great atmosphere, fun evening of drink and games, cozy place. Ordered in food from the BBQ place next door. Can't wait to visit again. Only complaint was that they closed at 9pm would have liked to hang out longer!

Katie k.

Yelp
#12 Cider is such a fun new space! There is a cute little lounge upstairs with couches. We got the cheese pizza with burrata from the truck outside and tried the cider flight. It was all excellent.

JD J.

Yelp
Cool space downtown. Tried 7 different ciders and only one was good. I've been to Thor's Cider in Stillwater and this does not even compare. They do have pizza outside though that looked decent. Probably won't be back.

David W.

Yelp
Superb spot for Twins pregame! Terrific Pizza and cider selection. Put an egg on it! On a hot day it was an amazing AC oasis...
