The 37 Best Restaurants in Milan, Italy | Eater

"A popular lunch spot in Porta Venezia, Nún is a counter-service restaurant with customizable twists on wraps and pitas, including sabich stuffed with fried eggplant, and 100 percent Italian chicken shawarma with pomegranate syrup and spicy harissa. Vegan and vegetarian options are high points, especially the falafel dishes, which are made from scratch and come with an array of add-ons like feta, kalamata olives, sliced beets, capers, and smoky tahini. Best for: A quick bite in Porta Venezia when you’re craving something beyond Italian." - Elizabeth De Filippo-Jones

Google
I visited this place after seeing it featured in a TV show as one of the best kebab spots in Milan. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. The sandwiches lacked any special flavor, and the overall taste was underwhelming. The balance of ingredients was off — the amount of chicken was not proportional to the vegetables, making the sandwich feel poorly assembled. On top of that, the price was quite high considering the quality of both the food and the service. There was also a lack of consistency and harmony in the sandwiches, which made the experience even more disappointing. Overall, I find this place overrated.

Google
Spacious spot, and modern interior. We ordered sabich and falafel sandwiches, and it was worth it. I think the star of show was the freshness of the ingredients, from the bread to the sauce everything tasted fresh. But they should be more dearing when it comes to seasoning, and not rely on the sauce. If it wasn't for the sauce, my sabich would have tasted totally bland (sauce in itself is actually good).

Forget everything you know about Kebab shops and come experience an explosion of taste courtesy of middle eastern cooking. Amazing food, wonderful ambiance and great service. What else can you ask for? Totally love the vibes given off by the posters hanging on the wall. <3 Did I also mention the many vegetarian and vegan options?

Google
This is seriously some of the best food I had visiting Milan. You can get your wraps creamy, crunchy, spicy, and always flavor packed! The vegetarian options really shine well. The falafel is perfectly cooked and crunchy on the outside and soft inside. The chicken is slightly burnt in a great way to add texture and extra flavor. Prices for the wraps are a steal at under €9 as of August 2023. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. The inside is actually even fun to look around as fun signs are hidden everywhere. Staff is great, helpful, and speaks English.

Google
Wanted something different from the norm, we got the perfect place. Middle Eastern dining at a very cheap price but so delicious. Great service, very helpful and friendly staff. Awesome tasting food and a great variety on offer

Google
We ordered the classic one, but one-third of the kebab is meatless. There is a homogeneity problem. After half, the amount of chicken decreases, and by the end, you're left eating only lettuce and tomatoes.

Google
Disappointing considering all the enthusiastic reviews here. Even aesthetically streamlined (to put it euphemistically) places like these can serve up very decent Middle-Eastern food, but I found the halloumi salad seriously uninspired (cubes of apple and cubes of halloumi, bland and weird to sink your teeth into) and the side of "Palestinian" hummus was very run-of-the-mill and neutral indeed — which is not what my taste buds are hoping for with Middle-Eastern cuisine (in general my favorite). Affordable and quite fresh, though, and the people were nice enough. But come at it with modest expectations.

Google
A brisk 1ish km from Milano Centrale and a complete gem for middle eastern food! We individually did build your own plates and everything was absolutely delicious. The spicy harissa is totally legit. Quick and fresh food with good portions!

Yelp
Nun is in the Porta Venezia neighborhood, nestled away in one of the many side streets of the area. They have the typical wraps and falafel platters, but the halloumi salad is what caught my eye. I should have expected that the salad wouldn't be "nutritiously-filling", since it was mostly iceberg lettuce, onions, apples, and halloumi cheese blocks. They gave some tzatziki sauce on the side (neverrrr enough!) and some quarters of soft pita bread, but in my opinion, it was not worth 9 euros... The décor was nice though!

Yelp
Cheap, fast, filling. After an afternoon of walking and museuming (Is museuming a word? It should be.), I was ready for a bite and Nùn was convenient and open. Walking in, the restaurant is clean and organized with several smaller tables and a larger community table. The menu board is posted up ont he wall behind the registers and even though you can customize your wrap, I chose the "Nor" which had a few things I recognized and some I did not. I figured out "piadina" was a wrap and "kebab di pollo" was chicken but that was able as far as I got before I decided to simply order it with a beer from their cooler. A few moments later, my sandwich was prepared and I was unwrapping the foil. Chicken, green olives, lettuce, sauce. It was tasty and filling. Nice little place. Inexpensive. Not exactly Milanese cuisine but a good sandwich none-the-less. [Review 10724 overall, 492 of 2019.]

Yelp
I guess i should have done my research better but I bookmarked this for our Milan trip and it was not what I expected at all for a place flagged as "kebab". Please don't get me wrong, the place itself is lovely, clean and bright and very spacious. It's a nice modern ambiance and walking distance from Lima station. They only have chicken, falafel or eggplant for their sandwiches....I had expected more of the traditional kebab spot so that was my own fault for not looking further as they had such amazing reviews. The combo that my friends ordered were tasty and fresh and the fries here were really good and piping hot but I ordered a side of Israeli salad and it was pretty much wilted fresh tomato salsa...Not what I was expecting at all. This is a great spot for those who love chicken, falafel or eggplant but this wasnt for me...Nice service and ambiance tho!

Yelp
Love it! I always come here in a rush though but their service is pretty efficient! I especially love this little modern hip kebab place for its deco and vast selections on the menu. You can create your own kebab by choosing your choice of bread, flavours, sauce, and fillings. (I always wanted to try the falafels!) You can also add fries/salad + drinks as a set. Since I am always in a rush I always order the Classic combo (classic chicken wrap with fries). The portion is huge! The chicken is very juicy and the spicy harissa sauce complement the cherry tomatoes and red onions so well. I always leaving the place feeling satisfied. Lastly, thumbs up to their recycle system! I like they provide different recycle bins for leftovers.

Yelp
Free wifi and great price for a filling meal. I had the mediterranean wrap (fried eggplant, feta, tomatoes, lettuce, & cucumbers) and my boyfriend had the classic chicken wrap. They were hugely portioned! The wraps were good...can't say much about it other than that. After visiting Florence and Venice for a week, we were glad to have a meal that that did not include pasta or McDonalds/Burger King.

Yelp
Great Kebab, cool vibes, and reasonable price. They have a big menu from vegan & vegetarian to your own custom kebab. If you're in Milan, and if you like casual & lively place you gotta try !

Yelp
The best falafel I have ever had in my life. The bread was delicious. And the wrap was just as good. Their toppings are fresh and the spicy harissa/ white sauce is beyond tasty. So much flavor in the most simple ingredients. If I lived here this would definitely be my go to place.

Yelp
Super delish kebabs with an original twist Experience only dampened by the fact the power went out. However, that didnt stop them delivering a tasty kebab!!

Yelp
I had a delicious wrap here. You can choose your bread, fillings, etc. The main filling options are sparse but tasty (chicken, falafel and eggplant if i recall correctly). Then you can pile on a lot of other stuff. I got a side of Shirazi salad (eponymous salads are not an easy find) too and it was decent. For under 10 euros, it's hard to argue against this spot.

Yelp
Very good kebab with a good price. Nice ambient. :) French fries are delicious but a little bit too fat and not so fresh.

Yelp
Free wifi and their bathrooms are clean. The food came quick, it was cheap-ish, and delicious! I love Italy!!

Yelp
felt like something other than italian, so we found this place on yelp! we were expecting a hole in the wall traditional style kebab joint, but they've put a modern twist on it. you can order one of their specials or customize your own! falafel was delcious and the chicken was also very good! would definitely return!!

Yelp
Simple and absolutely delicious. The falafel was the best I've ever had. Was not expensive for all the food you get and service was very quick. You have to try this place - you will not be disappointed!
