The 22 Best Restaurants In Maui 2024

"Nutcharee’s used to be an ocean-side food stand in a secluded town over two hours away, but it’s now conveniently located in South Kihei’s Akeza Shopping Center, which means you can get some of the best Thai dishes in the middle of the Pacific without the treacherous drive along the Hana Highway. Sip your Thai tea slowly to tone down the heat from their drunken noodles, or pair one of the many curry dishes with a local beer.  There are also fresh catch specials that change daily, and mango sticky rice for dessert when it’s in season. Stop in for a casual sit-down lunch or dinner, or order your food to go and eat it while you take in the sunset view from Waipuilani Beach Park just down the road." - martha cheng, team infatuation

Amazing food and flavors, service was great with all details explained and requests accommodated where they could. Food came out very quick and portions were filling. Spice level was just right as requested and wish I lived in Maui so I could visit again. Highly recommended especially for vegetarians and anyone looking for some spice and great flavors. And the best part is you don’t need to drive all the way to Hana for this!

Awesome food! Excellent service! We were there for lunch on a Friday afternoon. It was pretty relaxed and we got seated quickly. We had Pad Thai and Yellow Curry. If you don't like fish or oyster sauce in your Thai food, this restaurant has marked dishes as Vegan Option. Those can be ordered without those. Very flavorful. Medium Spicy is American Medium, not Thai Medium. We asked for hot sauce and made these dishes to our liking. Large portions, excellent service, great food! Will be back again!

Food: The flavor in the lemongrass chicken was so delicious and the chicken was cooked perfectly. I ordered this twice as the first time was so good, but the second time the flavor wasn’t as intense as the first time although it was still really good! Service: Very kind and attentive staff. Atmosphere: Plenty of indoor seating available. Only one bathroom available but it wasn’t as clean.

I found my new favorite Thai restaurant in Maui. Not sure why I’ve not tried this place before. Went here two days in a row and the food each time was great. Not sweet or salty like other places. There’s 4 different levels of spice you can get, so that was nice. But they should have a super spicy level! The wait staff is nice but the hostess could have been more personable. She wasn’t rude but a little friendlier would have been nice. I understand it can get busy but being friendly helps. There is plenty of seating here, so not sure why there is a wait. Maybe to ensure the cooks can handle the orders in a decent amount of time? Since it’s pretty spacious, we could speak freely without being too loud. So a great place to bring your date! I’m sure I’ll be coming here for Thai food more than any other place when I’m in Maui.

We love your guys' crispy fish w/ green mango salad and have always ate inside until the last year and noticed your guys takeout plate give half the serving of green mango salad you would eating inside and even try make em look "more than what it is" by stacking the mango salad on the spine in the to go plate.

This is one of the few places on Maui that I really enjoyed. Food is on par or better than Thai you will find in most places on Mainland. The restaurant vibe is great and they have nice paper menus. The pricing is very reasonable for the portion sizes. Also their spicy options are actually spicy so keep that in mind. One unique they had on the menu was Jungle curry which is a non coconut curry which was interesting! Overall if I had only one place to recommend in Maui this would be it!

We came here after a long day of doing touristy things. It was just the meal we needed - warm, comforting soul food. We ordered soup, noodles, curry, stir fry and rice. The portions are a good size. Our family of 4 finished all the food. Note - we ordered the soup to be medium spicy, but found it too spicy…so I’d recommend to order mild.

Yelp
Delicious Thai food with quick turnaround time and huge portions! We got the pumpkin curry, tom kha soup and eggplant. All were quite large portions, and not too spicy either. Would definitely return!

Yelp
A number of us came to this Thai food restaurant. I heard it was one of the best if not the best in Maui. I found it to be as good as any place in Honolulu. A few of unique things: the bowl retained heat for a long time. It seemed to be some sort of stainless steel with insulation? The curry stayed hot and tasty for entire time eating it. Very nice. They give a LOT of vegetables! I ordered my favorite green curry and it was delicious. It was very nice to have so much tofu and vegetables in the curry. Simple fantastic! I heard the yellow curry was really great too. The service is great and the owner was really nice!

Yelp
We came here and got the pineapple fried rice, pumpkin curry with tofu, and summer rolls. The summer rolls were not very generous on the shrimp but there was a lot of fresh herby ingredients. The star of that dish was easily the peanut sauce. It was a peanut butter sauce with extra creaminess with emphasis on the butter. I promise you that at the end of this dish, there was no peanut sauce remaining. The pineapple fried rice had some curry seasoning and a good amount of fluff, for instance, pineapples, cashews, shrimp. It was a good tasty filler. I do like my rice a little bit less soggy but not a big deal. We got the medium spice for the pumpkin curry and it definitely had some spice. I probably would've preferred it to be a little more spicy so next time probably get it a little more than medium. I was hoping the tofu would be pan fried, but instead it was just normal, firm tofu. Overall, it was a curry that was what I expected and still tasty. Lastly we had the Thai iced tea with coconut milk. The coconut milk does make it creamier and thicker and also less sweet which is what I would prefer. Service is good here and pretty reasonably priced.

Yelp
I finally got to try Nutcharee's, whose roots started with a food truck in Maui's east side town of Hana. ATMOSPHERE: Located in the Azeka strip mall on the oceanside, they're tucked away in the corner near their new eatery, Noodles And Rice. There was plenty of low top seating in the clean, simple space. RESERVATIONS: Not taken and not really needed. PARKING: Plenty of free parking. MENU: Beer and wine. Thai apps, salads, soups, rice, noodles, curries and stir fried dishes. FOOD: Tom Yum Soup - $17.00 Textbook flavors of sweet, savory and tangy. We opted for chicken as our protein and medium spice level which weighed a 6 on a 10 heat scale. Ingredients were fresh, chunky and plentiful. The bowl can easily feed four. Pad Kee Mao - $18.00 AKA drunken noodles. I opted for (tender & lean) steak and medium spice. Far from being a pad kee mao connoisseur, I thought it was a tasty, sweet & savory dish that contained my favorite foods of starch, meat and veggies. Like the tom yum soup, the heat level was about a 6 on a 10-scale. DESSERT: Ice Cream The homemade flavor was coconut. Two huge scoops came standard. I didn't have any but my spouse and our friend reported intense coconut flavor and a tad over-sweetness. SERVICE: Excellent, attentive and professional. Food was delivered all at once, fresh & hot in about 10 minutes. TIP: 10% Yelp check in discount! OVERALL: Affordable, tasty dishes and great service. A definite return.

Yelp
Amazing food, everything we ordered was amazing. We especially liked the green curry. Our favorite Thai restaurant!

Yelp
This place is great, everytime we have tried it the food blows us away. So much flavor! We got the Tom Kha soup and the crispy fish with mango salad and fresh veggies spring rolls. All at an affordable price. The food came out quick and the staff were attentive and friendly. They have 2 different dining rooms, no frills but clean and plenty of seats.

Yelp
Some of the best Thai food I've had! 1. The staff is all very friendly, answered any questions, and quick. 2. The food is delicious, fresh, and good portions 3. The restaurant itself is a very cute little whole in the wall. The tables are a little close together especially when it gets super busy but if you get over stimulated easily take out is always a great option. I've tried the pad Thai, yellow curry, masaman curry, and the fried rice. All have been a hit!

Yelp
I found the food to be fairly good, I got the tofu Pad Thai. It was good, a little above the average Pad Thai, but definitely not the best I'd ever had. The rest of my party seemed to also be pleased with their dishes. They were able to accommodate our large party (6 people) and seat us immediately in the side room. However, we did have one member of our party with a severe gluten allergy and when asked to make sure there was no cross-contamination with gluten, the server made a joke that "no one has died here yet." Although it was only a joke, it seemed a little poor taste/making light of a very real medical condition which offput us a little. Parking was easy, we had no problem finding parking.

Yelp
This was such a good choice. The yellow curry with jasmine rice is superior. We didn't need a reservation, pretty quiet in the pm. We had a lot of catch up and talk story so it took us a long time to finally pay out and go. The owner was totally on our side and said to take our time. Our left overs were great too. Don't miss this hidden jewel.

Yelp
Good portion size and value for money! Service was slower than expected and taste was ok but nothing out of the world for pumpkin curry or fried rice. Lots of parking outside and in the square. U can pair it with a visit to peace love shaved ice too if u like. We arrived on a week night around 7.45 pm and were seated promptly. Our hostess was great but i feel there were just too many tables she had to handle and that made the service slower. She needs more help is what i believe. In $50 (before tip), we got: - thai iced tea with coconut milk 5/5 too good :) loved it! The coconut milk (instead of condensed milk) made it more nutritious and less sweet - spicy fried rice 5/5- loved the texture and toppings. U can choose your protein and they charge u the same base rate for veg/ tofu or chicken - pumpkin curry chicken 3.5/5- medium spicy was not spicy enough for me. I liked the veggies in it but the curry had too much coconut milk for my taste - large jasmine rice to share 5/5 good wuality and portion size for 3 to share. Will come again for coconut shrimp and red curry maybe.

Yelp
Oh my goodness! This absolutely amazing place! I love Thai food. This Lil gem is truly spectacular! We had the crispy fish green papaya salad, cashew chicken, calamari, shrimp spring rolls, yellow curry chicken and rice, green mango salad and Thai iced tea(BEST I'VE EVER HAD) EVERYTHING was beyond amazing! Even better the next day. Our server Mike, he enhanced our experience with such excellent service, great recommendations and even recommended placed to venture on the island! This Lil gem is so clean and comfortable. So happy to have experienced this delicious place! Can't wait to be back! Aloha

Yelp
Excellent Thai place in Kihei. We ate here twice in one week! Authentic flavors and excellent service. Huge portions too! Plenty of parking. We ordered: Red curry with chicken medium spice: so good! Not too spicy. Great flavor. Mango salad with fried fish: big chunks of crispy fish with limey slightly spicy tangy mango salad on top. Delicious! Classic stir fried veggies mild: tons of fresh veggies, delicious sauce Drunken noodles with shrimp in medium spice: It was too spicy for husband but I loved it. Papaya salad medium: very good.

Yelp
Decent Thai food in Maui, located in a shopping plaza in Kihei. As someone who cooks and grew up eating amazing Thai food made by my family, I was skeptical about trying it here but was craving badly. This place turned out decent - their medium spicy is pretty dang spicy. I got extra Thai chilis on the side to make the dish spicier but that medium spice is a good enough burn for me. One thing went wrong here though: I ordered choo chee with fish (whatever catch they had), they gave me the wrong dish. It's supposed to be a curry dish but think I got another item on the menu. What's weird is that a couple employees helping us said "your choo chee is on the way" and when they gave it to us, they said the choo chee is here. I was so confused but ate it anyways without arguing. I came home and looked at the menu, i indeed got the wrong dish. Think they gave me the tri flavor fresh catch which is very similar to choo chee minus the curry. Whichever dish I got was a bit underwhelming. Odd flavors and the fish was a bit dry. Besides that, the spicy Thai fried rice was decent, although a bit mushy. The flavors were there, wish it wasn't so soft. The service was really friendly. Our water was constantly filled up during our meal. It was off putting, I think they had tried to mask the mistake. I regret ordering that dish and should've stuck to my usual pad Kee mao.

Yelp
Honestly I don't understand all the rave reviews. Maybe we should've dined in instead of gotten takeout. Because our chicken was fried in fish oil and they gave us curry without rice... Who does that? The food tasted fine, but ya know- who does that???...

Yelp
Popped in on a Saturday evening and were seated right away. The space had plenty of seating options. The staff was very nice and attentive and service was quick. We split the summer rolls, pad see kao and drunken noodles. The flavors were incredible and servings were plenty. I also noticed many people stopping in to pick up to-go orders.

Yelp
My favorite Thai place on Maui! I love me some Tom Kha Gai and they do it the best. That with some sticky rice is all I need for a happy tummy. Once in a while I stray from my usual and try other things- they also have a braised short rib curry that is delicious. Service is quick and friendly. Pricing is reasonable. They have a small wine/beer menu in addition to Thai iced tea, cofee, soda, etc. The inside is not very big but it doesn't feel too crowded or cramped when full. They do take out orders too.

Heather B.

Yelp
Everything was fresh and delicious . Best Massaman curry I've ever had, with short rib. Crab fried rice was excellent too

Yelp
Wow! The best Thai ever! Delicious and fresh. The service was really outstanding too. They were busy and the guys were really hustling. We really try Thai food where ever we travel and this was by far the best. We can't wait to go again!

Yelp
The food was generous and delivered fast, nice and Hot. My wife got a yellow curry with potatoes and chicken in it (I forgot to put the garnish back on top and it was very yummy. I got the red Penang curry with delicious vegetables The food was hot and spiced mild for my wife and medium for me. Each met out spice level expectations. The portions were generous and we took home the rest with an extra rice for a second meal. Still yummy the next day. We were seated upon arrival at 5 pm with only one other guest at the tables. By 5:20, the place was full and a couple of people were waiting. Our Server, Michael, was helpful with his favorites and suggestions. He came back to check on us a just the right interval. The place is bigger than it looks and I was completely amazed at how much food and how many orders came out of that kitchen to be delivered to the tables. It was a show in itself and all the food looked as good as ours. We loved it and the staff really knows how efficient and orderly everything can be. We will be back. All I can say is well done.

Yelp
Nutcharee's is located in what I'd consider an unfortunate location, being tucked deep in a corner of a strip mall. However, they have received recognition as being one of the best places for Thai food in Maui per various travel and food websites, so I was super excited to try it. On the last night of our vacation, we ordered three dishes for takeout as a lighter dinner. The menu clearly highlighted their specials and I was immediately drawn to their Pumpkin Curry. I also noticed many options marked gluten free and numerous items could be made vegan by request. The staff members were all super kind and they loved to joke around. You can tell they have great camaraderie and prioritize customer service. The hostess also made sure we were aware that their "medium" heat really meant "hot", so we ordered everything at just two (of five) stars to be on the safer side. After about 10 minutes our food was all packed up and ready to go, which was a pleasant surprise since they originally estimated 20 minutes. + PUMPKIN CURRY w/ CHICKEN ($18): A red curry with Japanese kabocha pumpkin, red bell pepper and Thai basil. I loved this! It was well-balanced, had a good kick and the coconut milk was not overwhelming like some curries. The slices of chicken were lean and tender. + PAD KEE MAO w/ TOFU ($16): This is typically one of my go-to dishes at any Thai restaurant, but I sadly didn't care for their version. The flat rice noodles weren't the wide soft ones that you'd typically see, but instead were thinner and on the firm side. There was a good amount of vegetables and the fried tofu was cooked well. The menu stated this had a spicy sauce, but I really didn't detect any heat at all, so it was somewhat bland. + PAD GRA PRAO w/ PORK ($13): This was tasty and your standard pork and vegetable dish. The sauce was flavorful overall with delicious notes of Thai basil, but it was also lacking in heat. Despite the warning from the hostess about the heat level, I could have increased the spice to three stars for at least the Pad Kee Mao and Pad Gra Prao. Every Thai restaurant is different when it comes to spice, but their dishes seem to be more on the conservative side. 3.75 stars.

Yelp
Check into this location of Yelp for 10% off!! :) service: 9/10! Service was very good! We did not make any reservations before arriving with a party of 7, but we were able to get seated within 15 minutes. They had a big table for us in the back. One thing is that they had forgotten an appetizer we ordered and by the time we finished our main entrees, we no longer wanted the appetizer anymore because we were full. They graciously took the dish back when they tried giving it to us and didn't charge us for it :) food: 8/10. I'm not usually a big fan of Thai food, but it was good! chicken wings - 8/10. Very standard but good! The dipping sauce was interesting and I didn't like it that much. Maui pineapple fried rice: 9/10. Only 4 pieces of shrimp were in the dish, but the dish had plentyyyy of pineapple (amazing) and fried onion crisps that tasted so good! Seasoned very well and I definitely recommend this dish! ambiance: 8/10. Casual and good place to eat and mingle with friends and family! Plenty of parking in the parking lot.

Yelp
Best summer rolls I have ever had. They were huge and a a variety of fillings that I usually don't see in summer rolls like micro green sprouts ( not bean), avocado, purple cabbage in addition to the super finely chopped carrots, cucumbers, shrimp. Very pretty when they cut it in half. The peanut sauce was not overly spicy and spit on. Also had fried tofu pad Thai. Nice balance of flavors. Place is clean and staff very friendly.

Yelp
Food (5/5): Got the Thai iced tea with coconut milk and my gf got one with condensed milk. Both were really good especially the one with coconut milk. It wasn't too sweet and had really good consistency. We also ordered the short rib curry and the crispy fish with mango salad alongside some brown rice. The short rib curry was super savory and delicious; the only con was that it was a bit too salty. Medium spicy isn't so spicy so you can get something more spicy. The Crispy fish was also delicious and had a good amount of crunch. My friends got the tri-flavored mahi mahi fish and the pineapple fried rice. The pineapple fried rice was particularly delicious when I tried it. Service (5/5): There was an initial wait time of 10 minutes because the restaurant seemed busy but once we got seated it was very smooth and great service. They were friendly and checked up on us multiple times. Ambiance (3/5): Nice restaurant that had a good amount of seating across two dining areas. The left dining area seemed closed though. There could be more unique and interesting decorations but there were some fun posters hanging around.

Yelp
The food here was absolutely delicious. We had the spring rolls, Tom kha soup, pad thai & a curry dish. The food overall was amazing, it tasted fresh & flavorful. The spring rolls were great but it was only 1 spring rolls cut in 3 small pieces, not worth the $10 they charge for it. The place was busy and tables were filling up fast. Which made our server really busy. Although it is not a deal breaker but one of the things we ordered wasn't put it in the system by the server and therefore we never ate it. We also had to stand up and ask the host for chopsticks as we were never given any. I think our server had too much going on, it wasn't their fault but it did feel like we were left on our own.

Yelp
The food is excellent. We tried the panang curry and it was excellent. We also tried the crispy fish green mango salad and it was absolutely delicious. The waiter Michael was super kind, funny and had great suggestions. The ambiance is average but the food makes up for it. Totally worth a try. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Last night my husband & I went to for Authentic Thai Restaurant for dinner. Food was amazing! The flavor was awesome as well as the service being top notch!! Thank you for an awesome experience. We will definitely be back!!

Yelp
We had a family dinner here. Ordered chicken yellow curry, seafood curry, and a tom yum with shrimp. Curry is on point, very tasty. Tom yum is good but could be a little more spicy. The place was packed for dinner and we waited about half hour to get in. Go early.

Yelp
Third times a charm. Met Yelpers Dee and Damon A from Kihei for the fourth time in six years. Took a lot of doing to find an agreeable place and time, and finally settled on Nutcharee on a Monday night. The $10 spring vegetable rolls were the best I have ever tasted, thanks to the tasty peanut dipping sauce. So good that we almost ate all the sauce before the other couple arrived. The $20 spicy pineapple curry with shrimp came with at least a half dozen shrimp, deveined and shelled. Only mildly spicy red curry with bell pepper and thai basil that went well with the dish. Would have ordered the pumpkin curry house specialty, but wife Janeen vetoed that. Wife's $22 pad woon sen came with four giant shrimp, head, legs and all combined with a heaping of glass noodles. Not a lot of flavor in the giant shrimp but went well with the soy sauce soaked glass noodles, flavor accentuated with the green onions and sliced ginger. $16 spicy chicken cashew dish had the right proportion of cashews mixed in with onions, bell peppers and chilis. Very filling with the cashews, went well with the $5 bowl of brown rice. This was another house specialty item, and definitely well prepared -would order again. Drunken noodles with pork dish ordered by Damon but not finished -ate too much Taco Bell for lunch. Separate tabs for each of the couples. First bill I got included Dee's $10 white wine. Second bill I got included Damon's $10 beer. Third bill got it right with nondrinker me with no drink tabs.

Yelp
To start off, this place was delicious, having thai parents and living in America it is really hard to find good authentic thai, but we were just amazed at how good it was. Their food is made with real thai chillies, and the spice was great. It made me feel like I was back in my home country. The workers are so nice and have great input on what to get. This place is very clean and I enjoyed this whole experience. I would definitely recommend this place if you enjoy authentic thai

Yelp
We came to Maui to celebrate our 25th and 26th wedding anniversary. We were in the mood for good Asian food. Our valet at our hotel highly recommended this establishment. We were so happy we came! The food was absolutely authentically delicious! We had the Tom Yum chicken soup, braised beef rib curry, Thai beef salad, Thai-Style Omelet Gf House Specialty, and crispy house noodles. We enjoyed every dish! Not only is the food delicious but the customer service is excellent!

Yelp
My boyfriend & I originally planned on coming to Kihei this morning to go to a coffee shop for breakfast. Except we left later then expected & decided mid drive I was craving something for lunch instead. That's when I stumbled across this restaurant & was impressed with their menu. I didn't know exactly what I wanted to order yet but I knew this is where we needed to head for lunch. Luckily, when we arrived at noon they already had a full restaurant but would only have to wait 15 minutes or less for a table. Being that it was both our first time dining here. We read over the menu posted on their window outside until we had our order narrowed down. Once seated our server brought us over our waters & took our order. (By the way our server Kaiimi was also the host, busser, food runner & probably the manager too. He did an amazing job doing it all & making it look easy too.) Plus everything arrived fast & beautifully prepared too. I'm currently a bit obsessed with Thai Tea & this one satisfied my craving. It was beautiful to look at, iced cold & had that bold flavor I enjoy so much. The sampler was a perfect his & hers shared appetizer. He wanted the meat & I was all about that fresh summer roll with the nut sauce. Also yes it was as tasty as it was visually pleasing. Usually I'm not a big meat eater but I do have a soft spot for short rib. When it's done right the meat just falls apart & practically melts in your mouth. So I ordered the Short Rib Curry Hot & it was even better then I could have hoped for. The presentation was beautiful & not just the way it was plated. But down to the way things were cut too. The carrots for example looked like flowers & even the potatoes had a unique cut as well. Plus when you take a bite, I loved how spice with a good flavor just zaps your taste buds alive. Even the different textures were fun too. Hot plus a potato melting in your mouth, yet there's an unexpected crunch from the nuts sprinkled on top. This dish was so good I already have a couple of other curry dishes I want to try next time. Overall definitely worth waiting for, excellent service & everything we ordered was delicious. Xoxo, ChelsieFletcher

Yelp
On our way back to Kihei from Kaheliki Beach in Lahaina, we called for takeout. My wife was craving some fresh summer rolls and this place has them. We ordered the appetizer sampler with fresh summer rolls, coconut shrimp, e-san sausage, The rolls are packed with veggies and are so refreshing with a creamy peanut sauces is the bomb. The sausage was alright, but not our favorite. The pineapple curry was ordered medium spicy and it was still mild in my assessment. The friendly staff got me some Thai chili powder on the side, which helped. The curry is so coconut creamy with authentic Thai spices and a good amount of pineapple. Yum. We got some Pad See Ew with Prawns, and that was good well.

Yelp
Excellent Thai food. I really like their Khao Soi with short rib. But almost everything I've had here is solid. Free parking lot so convenient to get to.

Yelp
We got the pumpkin curry with Brown rice. The food was excellent, however, they are not very interested in serving wine. We asked to taste the wine and buy the time. The wine tasting showed up.We were done with our entree.

Yelp
One of the best meals I had in Maui. We tried a variety of dishes and actually went twice because we liked it so much. Our favorites were the Penang curry, crispy fish with mango salad, and the drunken noodles. The second time we tried other items and while everything was still good, the crispy fish wasn't as crunchy as the first night and the pad thai was a bit bland. All in all an enjoyable meal and definitely recommending it for my friends to try!

Yelp
Solid 4.5 stars here. Extensive menu with all your classic Thai favorites. Hubs and I shared some fresh rolls with shrimp, and he ordered the savory soup with rice noodles (can't remember the official name of it), while I ordered the seafood salad as my main. It had a nice kick to it! Anytime we are in Maui, this place will definitely be on the list. Tucked away towards the back of the shopping center it's in - bonus is if you don't get dessert here, there's a shave ice place in the parking lot!!

Yelp
Located in a strip mall very close to Kihei beach. We enjoyed the food here. The food is very reasonably priced, and the serving size is fairly large. We shared one papya salad and 3 dishes among 4 people, and that seemed to be the perfect amount of food. Favorite dish by far was the Crispy fish salad. Fish was really tasty... actually preferred this to this fish that I'd had the previous days at the fish houses. Green papaya salad was also fairly good, and a huge portion. We asked for mild, with extra spice on the side. Added half the spice on the side, and it had some kick. Chicken cashew stir fry was ok. Probably wouldn't order this one again as it didn't have a strong Thai flavor. Waiter was very friendly.

Yelp
Stumbled upon Nutcharee when the restaurant we initially wanted go to was booked for the rest of the night. But what a blessing in disguise tho, because everything we ordered was delicious! We ordered: * Thai Tea * Green Papaya Salad (Mild) - it was so mild that we actually asked for some chili sauce on the side lol * Pad Thai w/ Chicken - Actually one of the better Pad Thai's we've ordered in a long time. The flavor was just right. * Braised Short Rib Curry - Our favorite dish of the night. This is a must! The meat was cooked to perfection. You shall see us here again!

Yelp
We arrived at 5PM just as they were opening on a Saturday evening. We were promptly seated and were 1 of 2 other tables seated initially. Our party of 4 ordered: - Thai Ice Tea (delicious!) - Chicken Satay (not pictured) - Coconut Shrimp (not pictured) - Short Rib Curry (my husband advised that it was ridiculously tender and the flavor was beyond delicious) - Chicken with cashews (not spicy but delicious with a small hint of sweet). - Crab Fried Rice (as expected, tasty) - Hawaiian Pineapple Fried Rice (yummy) Service in general was great. They kept the table clear, refilled waters and checked on us frequently. If I had to fuss about anything it would be the order priority in the kitchen. We were the 2nd party to be seated in an otherwise empty dining room, and we ordered pretty quickly. While we sat there waiting for our food, they had 3 to-go orders lined up. I'm pretty sure I heard them taking orders ahead of opening the dining room doors which meant those orders went ahead of patrons actually seated in their dining room. We got half of our food and then had to wait for our two rice dishes so my guess is that they mix in takeout orders, which slows them down. Interior isn't overly fancy but tables and floors were clean. Parking is easy and in the Azeka Shopping center.

Yelp
We went based on Yelp reviews and were disappointed in the experience overall. Flavor profiles only halfway passed as Thai. The Tom Kai Gai soup was very flavorful, however.

Yelp
I was dropped off at one of the beaches in Kihei for the day and wandered over to this shopping area for lunch. Nalu's was busy, and I am glad as it let me try out this spot for some great food. There are about 10 tables in the main room, and I think there was a second dining room, possibly? They seem to have a busy take out business as well. My Thai iced tea was perfect - just the right combo of sweet and slightly bitter. The chicken pad Thai was perfect. It'd been a long time since I'd had good CPT, so I devoured this in no time. No to go box for me! Definitely make this a stop or night in with an order to go.

Yelp
Great food, great service, fast, no lines to wait in. This is my go-to spot now for Thai food in Kihei. Been there about 5 times now and they are always great.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic. We had the chicken satay - incredibly juicy, the short ribs - tender and delicious, and the drunken noodles with steak - a good amount of heat if you get it medium spicy, and the steak was so tender. Great service. They do have funky hours so don't expect to go for dinner, but well worth the drive to Kihei

Yelp
The food was a little more on the pricey side but was pretty delicious and a welcome change from all the poke and fried battered fish. When we went the restaurant seemed pretty busy and the employee who helped us at the hostess stand was very courteous. She provided us with an itemized receipt and asked how many sets of utensils we needed. We ordered from the house specialties on the menu -- crispy fish salad, short rib curry, pumpkin curry, and pad woon sen. The crispy fish salad was good and I appreciated how they separated the fish from the green mango. I wish there was a bit more punch in the form of acidity and spice. The curries were good but also not as spicy and flavorful as some of the curries I have had in the past. The giant prawns in the pad woon sen were tender but the noodles weren't flavorful enough and needed the extra sambal spicy sauce (caution it is an additional $0.50!)

Yelp
The line at some bar next door was too long so we decided to support our fellow Asians and were pleasantly surprised. Apparently we got a 10% discount for checking in as well on Yelp! I got a pineapple fried rice with an extra 2 fried eggs on top. Over easy eggs were so good, and the rice was seasoned well with spice. I was kind of disappointed that it wasn't served in a half pineapple, but the flavor was still good. 4 shrimps, a lot of cashews for texture and sweet pineapples. I think the onions were good as well. Not sure if the onions were the famous ones from Maui, but I liked them. My friends got fresh thai iced teas, one with condensed milk and another with coconut milk. I stole some of the coconut milk one and it's pretty refreshing. For dessert, I got a coconut ice cream. It could have been creamier, but the flavor was good and the crushed peanuts were great.
