Yelp
The atmosphere and service was pretty good. We were greeted warmly when we walked in and our server was attentive to our drinks.
I really enjoyed the free mango lassi when checking in on Yelp. The menu has some off the wall and "fun" options such as chicken tikka wraps, burgers, and pasta. We opted for an order of naan, chicken tikka masala, samosas, and gobi Manchurian. The others at our table ordered butter chicken and samosa chaat.
The chicken tikka had soooo much potential! It was creamy, a nice texture, and the chicken itself was nice. It was actually really tasty at first bite.. but then I noticed how heavily salty it was. My partner wouldn't even eat it, sadly, but we paid over $20 for it so I tried my best. It was simply loaded with salt. I didn't say anything until the others at our table made the same comment and we tasted each other's dishes. Both the chicken dishes were so incredibly salty. It was so loaded with salt that my super shy family member told the server, because we felt they should know. They just acknowledged it but we weren't expecting them to replace our food or anything.
The naan was really good, and the rice was lovely. The gobi Manchurian was decent. It isn't my favorite style of it, but it's certainly a beautiful presentation and dish to share with the table. The price is a little steep at 13.99 for the appetizer, but most of the menu was above average from what I'm used to paying for Indian dishes at other restaurants.
Overall, just an okay experience. Others may like the food much more than we did!
