Nuuksio National Park

We had an amazing hike here, in october. There is moss and lichen everywhere, its beautiful and colorful, even without the sun. The lakes are dark and pines red, with the white birch trees, its a beautiful combination. There are more sites to set camp and set fire. There are even firewood sheds, with axes and saws and toilets. Recommend 10/10.

A magical experience! It was amazing to get so close to these beautiful animals. After spending time with the reindeer, we had a cozy moment by the campfire in the traditional Lappish hut with delicious cinnamon buns and coffee.

Nuuksio National Park is a nice getaway with a stone’s throw away from the bustling city of Helsinki. It’s a beautifully preserved park with nice trails and scenery that epitomizes the Scandinavian landscape. There are some interesting hiking trails which you can take ranging from an hour or longer.

We had a great time feeding the reindeer and learning all about them from the staff there who really care about each reindeer and know them so well! It was especially cosy in the teepee with the rain falling and we had a little Q and A around the fire, over gloggi and gingerbread! Highly recommended!

Amazing national park with plenty of hikes to explore the nature, lakes and the woods. All routes are very well marked across the way and are easy to complete. For those having time I wpuld advise to stay for two days to explore multiple trekkings across different areas od the park

It’s a very beautiful, quiet, and peaceful place. There’s no need to be afraid if you see a snake, because they are all harmless water snakes. You can also swim in the lake located in the forest.

I came here during the first week of September, so still warm and fairly quiet in parts. Everything is clearly signposted and it was quite a nice space to lose yourself in. Plenty of mushrooms too!

One of the newer National Parks in Finland. Wanted to go somewhere different as we were about to start a journey. A lovely escape for some time. A place for camping in the common areas. We didn't stay long but enjoyed our walk to the lake and time to talk. It was a worthwhile while stop.

What a forest. What a park. And the silence... Love it :) On Wintertime you can even go Downhill skiing there! Best thing is park you car (or go by bus), take a walk in forest with pack of sausages and good mustard with you! There is lots of fire places with woods. How can this place get less than 5 stars?! Beautiful park, great hiking, informative and friendly welcome center. My only docked point comes from the fact that when driving to different trails, signage could stand to be more clear. We missed a few turns not seeing a small sign. The cafe at the welcome center is light and airy, with a great patio to have tea and look out at nature. Highly recommended!

A fourty-minute drive from the city center, Nuuksio is a nice national park with well-marked paths. We did a 4-5 km hike, and none of it was very strenuous. We accidentally ended by the lake, which was really peaceful, although the water isn't the cleanest. There's a path that leads to a panoramic point, which has a nice view of the trees, lakes, and mountains. It's a bit far from the city center, although I think the bus takes you right up to the park, and a car isn't necessary within the park as it's not that big. There are directions leading up to the park if you are driving, and it's hard to not be a able to find the park. Definitely worth a visit!
