This place just seems to be missing it, on a lot. I feel like there is so much opportunity here, but they just don't care.
We decided to give the Sky High Lounge a try. I was SO excited to go there for the Sunday Night Football Event & watch the Cowboys v Eagles game with some family that was in town from Texas. We made reservations in advance to be sure we had tables to watch the game, smoke, partake in the NuWu events that were supposed to be going on with the game, & chill.
Our evening in the Sky High Lounge was one of THE WORST experiences I've ever had. I can't believe the level of disservice our entire party received while there.
A Sunday Night Football event was advertised on your website. Yes, they had the game on, but were blasting slow jam music over the speakers, & no sound for the game. When I asked if they could turn the sound on for the game, I was told no. They said it was an IT thing & IT doesn't work on Sundays. Aside from 1 other couple, we were the only people in the lounge.
At this point, I had already purchased the $500 package, & we were waiting for it to be brought out. After stating my frustrations to the staff, & stating that I would rather just leave & go somewhere else because we all wanted to watch the game and the vibe here was not what we were expecting, I was quickly told that since I had already paid for the package that NO refund would be given. After going back & talking with the other people in our group, we were ready to just take the stuff (once it came out) and leave, but decided to stay til halftime & just see how it goes. After hearing every single one of us complaining about the experience, a "manager" offered to give us 1 dab at the dab bar for the inconvenience. We said ok, as we were already there & had to at least wait for our non refundable package to come out.
Out comes the package. A few people quickly unload the tray, & our server quickly goes over our products and how to use the dab device. We were told anything we purchased but didn't consume we could take with us. I thanked her & she disappeared. We never saw her again.
The whole time we were there, no one, not a single employee, ever checked on us. No one came by to make sure we were good. No one came by to see if we wanted our other cannadrinks from the package, even with multiple empty cups on the table. No one came to see if we needed or wanted anything. More pot, snacks, another drink? Nothing. I had to hunt someone down each & every time. We couldn't remember how to use the dab device & had to search for someone to help us. We finally got someone, & she was amazing. But again, disappeared after explaining the dabber & we weren't checked on again. Come to find out, our initial servers shift had ended right after she dropped the tray off. She left & not a word was spoken. Not even to introduce our new server or ask if there was anything else before she left. Why the company would schedule an employee shift end in the beginning of an event is beyond me.
This Sunday Night Football thing that was supposed to be going on...It wasn't, and it didn't. Website says "wear your teams jersey and get a special perk." Nothing. I believe only 1 person in the group didn't have Cowboys gear on. Even if it had to be a jersey and nothing else was acceptable, 2 of us were wearing Dallas jerseys. Nothing. Website says "Every touchdown is a chance to win." Win what? Nothing was announced or offered. And we all watched the Cowboys smash the Eagles. There were multiple touchdowns. And still, nothing.
It was FREEZING COLD in there. We were inside, and it felt like we were outside in the courtyard. Why? There are heaters by the dab bar outside...why not have them in your VIP lounge? There were hot drinks on the menu, but unavailable. In fact, every time we have visited, their hot drinks are unavailable.
It's the last quarter of the game & we are ready to go. Everyone's freezing, & we've smoked a lot of the stuff we purchased. We still have 5 dabs at the bar that we haven't even touched. 4 came with the pkg & 1 was the comp. So I hunt down our server, again, & ask her to package up the bong & dabbing device (they come with the pkg) and also the 5 dabs from the bar because no one wanted to take them at that point. Imagine my surprise when she tells me that the dab bar dabs can't be taken home and can't be saved for the next day. Because we would have went back and done them at the bar in the courtyard or something. So we ask if we can leave as a tip, & of course the answer is yes. Why was this never mentioned? No one informed us of this rule at all, the entire time we were there. I didn't even want to leave a tip at this point because we all felt the level of service was horrible. But, we were strong armed into at least that. We ended up leaving some cash too, again against my will & more than I wanted.
