We've been slowly working our way through all of Little Ethiopia, to see whether any other restaurants can compare to Messob (our favorite so far). This place actually did have some quite good food (I was particularly excited and surprised by their #1, Yemiser Wot, which tasted far more flavorful than I remember from other places - if we come back, I might just order a whole entree of that, rather than exclusively the samplers). And while our waiter didn't exactly look *excited* to be there, I will still admit that it also wasn't terribly slow service.
I'm taking off one star, though, for two things: 1, their meat dishes were good, but (at least in the meat sampler) they didn't have very much *meat* in them... and 2, I could tell they didn't make their own tej, it was added on as an afterthought and came from the same (bottled) bottles of tej they sell at the market next door, which are just nowhere near as good as Messob's fresh tej.
