Such a fun place. There is so much to see. The museum is 5 town houses long and you can rent and a room for the night which I think it’s pretty cool. The best part is you walk through these rooms finding secret doors and at the same time you can grab most of the stuff and buy it by the end of your visit. It’s basically a huge museum/thrift store. Definitely worth the entrance fee.

I was a little nervous because of some of the bad reviews but my husband and I had a great time at the museum. We found 17 secret doors and enjoyed exploring the museum and looking for the hidden doors. Spent about 2 hours there. It is true that many of the rooms look like an antique or thrift store because of all the old stuff that is crammed in. A few of the rooms had interesting decorations or themes. I would also recommend to go during off peak times if possible. We went first thing in the morning and it was getting busier by the time we left. It's a lot more fun if it's not busy so you can easily move around and find the secret doors on your own. Highly recommend for people who enjoy exploring, was a fun time. It also had some nice decorations for Christmas.

Very unique experience. We haven't stayed at the hotel but walked through and shopped in the museum. It's over stuffed and can satisfy each taste. Good entertainment for teens during the holidays. They were having fun to discover about 17 hidden doors and look through some antiques.

We didn't stay in the hotel. We explored the mansion and its secret rooms. It is definitely sensory overload. I enjoyed every minute of it and could have stayed longer. Others in the party were ready to leave after zipping through. The staff is fantastic. The location was easy to get to from the metro stop.

We didn't stay at the hotel, just visited the museum, and it was awesome! I wish that we had allotted more time to spend here(we had about an hour and a half before another planned activity), but we will definitely be back! We came as a group of 7 (4 adults and 3 kids ages 10-16) We had to split into small groups but we kept coming back across each other and swapping buddies and still got a little lost and definitely did not see all the rooms😅 Every single one of us loved it and wanted to go back!

Absolutely AMAZING! I’ve been meaning to write this for a while now. My wife and I stayed here a few months ago and had the BEST time! Such a unique and memorable experience. We felt like kids again exploring the hidden rooms and admiring all the treasures and stories each room had to tell. We originally booked the Elvis room but upon arrival we were met by a wonderful employee(I believe her name may have been Olivia), who gave us a tour of the room and the Versailles Suite across the street and offered either one. We chose the Versailles Suite which was a phenomenal room and very romantic. The next day we saw that they were redoing the Elvis room which is why I think we were offered the upgrade which was absolutely amazing of them to do. We briefly met the woman who owns it the next day as she told us about a cool upgrade they were doing to one of the rooms. Her and every single staff member there were so friendly and they all provided exceptional customer service. If you ever visit DC this has to be on your list of places to visit. I strongly encourage you to stay overnight so you can explore the mansion at night but even if you can’t stay you have to at least visit for the tour. I promise you will be in for an unforgettable experience! We visit DC at least once a year for theatre at the Kennedy Center and the mansion is now going to be a part of our annual tradition. We cannot wait until our next visit there! Thank you so much to the wonderful people at the Mansion on O Street for such a beautiful, unique, and fantastic experience!

One of the coolest museums I've ever checked out. It took us a little over 2 hours to get through all the different rooms in the museum. It was such an eclectic mix of items and most of the things were for sale. So crazy that this place is also hotel... would be so fun to come back and stay in one of the rooms.

We really enjoyed it and would go back. Overall really enjoyed. The themed rooms were interesting and enjoyable.. A few things disapointing.... Nearly everything is listed as for sale, but really everything is very pricey. Secondly, our daughter is completely disabled. Asked for a discount for her, but they said no, they need every entry fee because there are non for profit.
