O Sushi & Grill

In this nice neighborhood mall in San Dimas Hills this is the only Japanese restaurant. The bento sets on the menu are good value. I suggest ordering the cooked food or the rolls rather than the sushi or sashimi. Service was very nice. There is plenty of parking on the shopping mall lot.

I moved to the area about 4 years ago when I first tried this restaurant and honestly, I was not impressed during my first visit. I distinctly remember trying it again during the pandemic. I had oysters that time and they were horrible so I thought I would never go back. However, it's close to home and very convenient for me so I decided to give it another chance, post-pandemic, and it was excellent. I've been back 4 or more times after that and the restaurant has been consistently great so I am glad that I gave it another chance. The sushi has been so fresh, the rolls are delicious, the service is fast & friendly, and the atmosphere is very quaint. There are some other local sushi restaurants that have more of a party vibe with loud music, which I like on occasion, but I like coming here sometimes for a nice, peaceful meal with the family without having to wait in a long line, even during peak hours. During my last visit we had the spicy garlic edamame, miso soup, albacore sashimi, Summer roll (crab meat wrapped with tuna, salmon, albacore, no rice), Sunset Action roll (salmon, crab meat, avocado, albacore on top), and the Sweet 16 (lightly fried red snapper with spicy crab on top of a shrimp tempura roll). All of them were delicious, but my favorite was the Summer roll.

I been coming here for a long time. Order the same thing. I went over the order 3 times with the person on the phone and confirmed the order sashimi salad plus sushi and bento box. I drove out and picked up the order and when I got home they gave my a seaweed salad instead. When I called and asked what happened they said oh sorry. I asked and went over the order again and they continued to say sorry then got someone else on the phone and said I can go back and bring the seaweed salad and pay the difference for the sashimi salad. Wow! Customer service is terrible, you would think for the inconvenience they would understand but they were not willing to do anything for the mistake they made except say sorry and have me drive 20 miles again there and back. It was like pulling teeth just to get someone to even ask what to do about the mistake. Not only that, you could hear them going back and forth about what to do and laugh about it. I do not recommend this place, if you do go please double and triple check your order. Don’t expect any understanding from them except the word sorry.

We've lived near this restaurant for many years but didn't eat sushi until the last couple of years. Once we started eating sushi we started frequenting OSushi several times per week. The food is delicious, service is great, atmosphere is friendly, and your meal gets to you quickly. We've compared this restaurant to many highly regarded ones near and outside the area but everything about OSushi is so good there's no reason to go anywhere else. This is our favorite!

Baby lobster was probably day old: dried and/or overcooked. Stuffed jalapenos mediocre. Spicy edamame okay. Considerably lower quality since my last visit. Wah! It once was a fav.

Best Sushi Place

We wanted sushi and wanted to try a new spot. Yelped sushi and this place came up so we decided to give it a try. Plenty of parking in shopping center. Friendly service. They sat us right away. Cool little spot with spread out seating. Ordered a few things to try. Spicy garlic edamame was nice. Gyoza was nice and crispy. Rolls were fresh and nice portions. They give watermelon when you complete the meal. And with a review you get a generous portion of free ice cream. We got matcha. Overall it was delicious and we'd come back.

Food - We enjoy going here and the prices are very reasonable for the quality and options they provide. We have had various items from the menu all time favorite is the "Sweet 16" Service - Good service every time we go Ambiance - Simple and clean Tiny outdoor space.

This is a nice family owned and operated restaurant. Customer service is top notch every time. The food is fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. Today, they had 3 special Blue Fin Tuna dishes. I was happy and pleased to try it. The Bento Box never disappoints, it has a little of everything, soup and salad is included for one price.. You can dine in, there is sufficient seating inside and a few tables outside. There is a shared lot next to the Vons market with plenty of free parking. Enjoy your meal and don't forget to tell'em that Rosemary sent ya!

Yelped "sushi" restaurants for our date night and decided to try them out! Restaurant is located in a shared plaza with lots of parking so we didn't have any issues, we parked right outside the restaurant! The restaurant was clean with lots of seating. The restaurant was about half full when we walked in. We were seated right away. Customer service was fantastic! Everyone checked in on us and refilled our waters without us asking. For the food, we tried the spicy garlic edamame, spider roll, dragon roll, and Alaska roll. My boyfriend and I agreed that everything tasted fresh and delicious! I would definitely want to come back to try some of their other appetizers and sushi :) PS - we checked in on Yelp and they gave us a generous scoop of ice cream for dessert .. we tried their matcha and strawberry flavors.. sooOoo good! We also noticed a lot of take out orders being prepared as well. The people have spoken and they love this place! ;)

6 years later and I still give this place a five star rating. Love to see it when a neighborhood spot maintains the quality of food and service. My party and I came for lunch and decided to sit outside. Service was great. We were checked on frequently even though we were the only people who decided to sit outside. We ordered an assortment of rolls and a chirashi bowl. The food came out fairly quickly. The sashimi is thick, quality cuts. The rolls were all delicious. The Alaskan and lemon pepper salmon were my favorite ones. All in all, my past dining experiences here over the years have never been lackluster. I don't come to this area frequently anymore, but when I do, I always try to dine here.

Been coming here for OVER 10 YEARS! And the quality of food and service has been consistently amazing!! We come here at least 1-2x/month and each time it is a treat! The environment is great for a party of 3 or a party of 7. You can't go wrong with this local sushi spot!!! We've gone through most of the menu but these stay our top favorite: - Sashimi Salad: dressing is spectacular. Sashimi portion is generous. - San Dimas: I'm a BIG fan of a no sauce roll and this one takes the cake! So fresh and flavorful each time. - Caterpillar: delightful to say the least. Perfect amount of eel and sauce. Honorable mentions: sweet 16, Firestone, sunset action, umi, and fire boat. After visiting Japan in October 2023, this has been the only comparable sushi spot I've been to in the states! Give it try & enjoy!

We recently found this place and normally take out. Our favorites are the San Dimas, Fuji, and Sunset Action rolls. Great food and reasonable prices!

We came in for lunch after my Niece's Graduation. She wanted Sushi this was our first time coming here. The Sushi was really good and they had things for non Sushi lover. The service was great, our waitress was friendly and attentive to our table. We sat in the back against the wall and it was perfect for our party size. The restaurant was clean and there was tables and booths.

I've wrote reviews for this place already but they never fail to satisfy my sushi craving! Amazing service and good food! If you like salmon, I recommend the Salmon Crunch! That's my go to. There's a cute ambiance to the place e.g., blossom tree on the wall. Only downside is that there is only one bathroom. There is plenty of parking and a Vons next door!

Came here again and it was exactly like the five star experience I had last time. The food is delicious and fresh and the price is really great. There's a good amount of seating and the servers made the experience very smooth.

A Decade of Amazing Sushi at O Sushi & Grill! I've been coming to O Sushi & Grill in San Dimas for over 10 years, and it's always been my favorite spot! The sushi is consistently fresh and flavorful, and I can't get enough of their Eskimo and Summer Rolls, they're absolutely delicious and always hit the spot. The staff is incredibly welcoming and attentive, making every visit feel like a treat. Whether it's a casual lunch or a dinner outing, the quality and service are always top-notch. After all these years, O Sushi & Grill remains my go-to for amazing sushi. If you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out!

An enjoyable takeout experience and good quality sushi at a decent price. This shopping plaza was surrounded by beautiful neighborhoods and green parks with trees. The rolls were fantastic and the chirashi was pretty good. I'm docking a star because they weren't too generous with the amount of fish in the chirashi, though everything was of good quality and the salmon was very tender. Note that the baby lobster roll actually has baby crawfish and not lobster on top. They also didn't give free ice cream with my Yelp check-in because we didn't dine in. We'll simply need to return to eat in person!

My friends and I love going here after school!! This is 100% out go to and could never cheat on this place. A little expensive but are sweet people. Rolls are a good size and come out very fast.

I've been here a couple times and I've enjoyed my visits here. It's located in the Vons shopping plaza, so parking is plentiful. The food is good, prices are good, and staff is friendly. They have a variety of rolls posted on the wall, with names inspired by the surrounding cities (ie Pomona roll, Covina roll). They also offer the usual bento box combos, teriyakis, noodles, etc. I have no complaints about this place, it's solid Japanese food and satisfies my teriyaki cravings. The tempura is good as well and not super oily like some of the other places I've been to. I never have to wait long for a table and it's relatively close to my home, so I will be back!

I love O sushi. The service is wonderful and quick. I enjoy the spicy tuna rolls and house salad. We go here for lunch often!

I love this place! My partner and my go to sushi spot. Service is good. Waitresses are very attentive! They keep the refills coming. Ambience is great for dates, small groups and families. The sushi is fantastic. It's not fishy and the sauces that come with the rolls are great. Our personal go tos are the Sunset Action and more recently the Umi roll! Those are great fresh rolls! We also can recommend the Lemon Pepper Tuna roll.

We've been going to this place since it opened up. Simple menu, good food, ambiance- awesome! The staffs are on top of their attention to you but not invade your time with friends & family! Can't complain... 5 star!!!!

Food wasn't that great at all. Chicken was dry and salmon had little flavor. Salad was warm when it should be cold. The only thing good was the tempura. Price is cheaper than some places but they definitely can improve on quality of food. And my stomach started hurting right after I ate there.

The BEST sushi in San Dimas. Staff is also amazing and always attentive. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

First time dining here. The menu is on the wall near where you sit and the service was great. They have TV's and they had basketball on one and hockey on the other. It was a plus to be able to eat and watch the games. My favorite was the Pomona Roll. I am looking forward to dine here again and try another roll on the menu.

This is an awesome little random sushi joint I ran into. I was in the area and found O Shushi & Grill on google; I stopped by an hour before they closed so it wasn't busy at all, they got my food out very quickly and were attentive with my table. The food is simple but I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste of everything. My first bite into the peppered salmon roll was so soft and delicious! Everything else that followed was just as tasty. The restaurant was spacious and very clean. They offer outdoor seating which is lovely with all the trees nearby.

Solid sushi spot for all your favorite Americanized concoctions. -deep fried oyster ($6.50 for 5 pieces) -covina ($10.25): deep fried tuna, crab meat + avocado -eskimo ($11.95): spicy crab meat wrapped with albacore -fire boat ($10.95): baked salmon on top of a California roll -lemon pepper salmon ($10.95): seared lemon pepper slams on top of a California roll -sashimi ($20.50 for 12 pieces): tuna, red snapper, albacore + salmon -summer roll ($11.95): crab meat wrapped with tuna, salmon + albacore I like that they have rice-less options here (eskimo + summer roll) because it prevents you from becoming too full from the sushi rice. Everything was just as I like - simple deviations from the usual fan favorites. The to-go packaging was on point with each of the rolls packed in its own separate container. The presentation made whole experience that much more exciting given that we had dinner at home. Overall, O Sushi & Grill offers up some quality sushi at very affordable prices.

DO NOT ORDER THE RAMEN! It's just package ramen with hot water! You can make it at home! Everything else is yum! When we visit my parents we always stop by to eat!

Terrible customer service I ordered sushi in the restaurant to go and idk if the lady at the register was upset that I didn't tip on a to go order but her attitude was ridiculous (paid $19 on edamame fried CA roll and a soda) I kept saying please and thank you and she wouldn't respond I asked her for spicy mayo and eel sauce when she gave me my food and she rolled her eyes at me The service is enough for me not to come back

We've been coming here so many times and I only had this time to write a review. I guess everything here is so good and melts in your mouth, flavorful, good portions, affordable and fresh sushi, that's why I kept forgetting to write a good review. We started with their Udon noodle soup, then Sunset Action rolls, Rainbow rolls, Cucumber Special, Baked muscles, San Dimas rolls and Baby lobster rolls. All were to the perfection and melts in your mouth. The sushi held itself and presentation was appetizing. I wouldn't mind if it was pricey as long as quality is good. They have covered outdoor dining with heaters if suggested. As you walk in, you are greeted by the receptionist to be seated. There are two sets of tables to the left for larger groups and to the right are a row of booths for four all the way to the back. Left side of tge room is a long counter and behind is where the food is prepared by chefs. Clean, well lighted, there are two tvs on the wall, noise level is moderate, and restrooms are clean and all the way to the end. The menu is simple but quality choices of food. You can't go wrong with anything you order. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, attentive. The only thing that annoys me here is they check on you too much, you don't have anymore privacy or can't finish a conversation without them interrupting. And because of this, it feels like they're rushing us. Other than that, everything is outstanding. We left not disappointed and with full stomachs. There's one thing I always notice though, the chefs always gives thanks to the customers that passes them but ignores the ones closer to the door, lol. Just saying. Service is fast and everyone helps each other. I would come back because of good quality, we get seated right away and the joint is only 2 minutes drive from our house. I'm giving 5 stars which includes the several visits before.

I will be a frequent at this sushi restaurant! The ambiance is regular, on the quiet side, calm, casual. The food was dynamite! Flavor on the Eskimo roll was amazing as was the edamame. Their prices are great for the quality and taste. Our whole bill came to $35. The service was good. Nothing special but it doesn't need to be, the menu is straight forward. Parking is plentiful. It's nearby vons in via verde.

O Sushi & Grill has become our family go to local sushi restaurant in Via Verde, San Dimas! Love their bento boxes, sushi and sashimi dishes. Services are great. I'd recommend this restaurant to all our friends and families visiting the area. Please make more yummy sushi!

It's good portion of lunch time and dinner time I recommend this place it's very good sushi and the other food special Bento.

I like this spot because they have good service and great food. I love hand rolls and I like the fact that can quickly chow down my hand rolls and head out. The shopping center has plenty of parking so it's convenient and right off the freeway. Win win .

Enjoyed this restaurant. The selection was large and the service was top notch. Our group sat in the back and the dinning room temperature was a bit warm. The waitress piped up the A/C and all was well. The food was delicious and our group ordered a large variety of food. Order was correct and on time which is excellent because there was ten in our group. I would come here again if in the area. The food was great however the customer service was even better. Love the pleasant experience.

This is a great little sushi restaurant in the middle of nowhere in San Dimas. The plaza it's in is right dab in the middle of a residential area with nothing but houses and a park surrounding it so it's very quiet and usually not busy. I only come here for the bento box because I think it's the best deal for a bento. You can only pick from one item BUT it comes with a lot of other things: miso soup, salad, 4 piece California roll, tempura (about 6 pieces including a shrimp), and white rice. And all for a good price of $15.95. It's a dollar or two cheaper for lunch. It used to be even cheaper several years ago but you can't blame them too much for increasing the price because you do get a lot of food. The quality of the food is pretty good.

Sushi is good. Pricey but convenient because I live nearby. Service could be better considering the price. Staff (not all) need to work on their interpersonal skills. Hostess can come across rude.

Wonderfully delicious find near the I-15 and Scripps Ranch Pkwy! Sunny, our server, was delightful and efficient. Two of our party had the lunch special bento box and needed a doggie bag for the leftovers - good-sized portions! My husband had Galbi and thankfully Kimchi came with it. He gobbled up every bit! I had the light and crispy vegetable tempura and miso soup - very happy with my choices! The atmosphere was inviting, and the restaurant itself lovely and clean! We will return again for sure! Well my husband and I have found our new local sushi spot! Very fresh fish the tuna melted it was so good. Servers were nice even though it was a busy afternoon. We will be back.

Decent sushi for a reasonable price. Mellow atmosphere, aesthetically pleasing Christmas lights. Service was average, some slight language barriers.
