The place is super cute and chill. We order a few appetizers and dinner. My favorite is the pork belly. The wagyu sukiyaki is very delicious. I enjoyed the broth, fresh vegetables, and meat. I would definitely come back to try more stuff. Customer service is excellent. He is attentive and overall a great host.

We learned about this place not too long and we heard that the owners of Olleh (KBBQ & Sushi) opened this place, so we knew we had to try it out. And first off, we are coming back to try the rest of the menu! 💯👏🏽 From the drinks (ordered wine & beer) to appetizers to skewers to the donburi, it was all impeccable, tasteful and big fan of the interior design as well, which is a mix of traditional and modern style. We ordered the wine pork belly, wagyu, gyu don, agedashi tofu, shishito peppers, chicken thigh with green onions, rice & sausage skewers, and the smoked salmon carpaccio. The customer service was so genuine, kind, and meticulous. Overall, a great experience and we hope to be regulars!

The wife and I were looking for a new place we haven’t tried before and O To San came up on Yelp and decided to give it a go. Interior was nice. Server was nice and attentive and checked on us often. We weren’t too hungry so we decided to share some skewers and a couple appetizers. For appetizers, we got the Japanese Salad Sampler which consists of pickled radish, seaweed salad, and some kind of squid salad. It was good and worked perfectly eating in between bites of our skewers. We also ordered the Potato Salad with Bacon. It’s a cold potato salad with two different sauces, one of each side, topped with bacon bits. We liked this as well. As for the skewers, my wife ordered the Hotate (scallops), Shisamo (smelt), and the Wagyu. I ordered the Chicken Thigh with Green Onion, Chicken Meatball, and Wine Pork Belly. We also added the Eggplant and Shishito Pepper. For me, I probably could have done without the Wine Pork Belly, but that’s just me. The Eggplant was surprisingly juicy! All in all, we were pretty happy.

First time here. We ordered black garlic and spicy miso ramen which we love. We ordered wagyu, chicken liver, and beef tongue yakitori but it was a little salty for us. We like the ambiance, the service, and the food despite the little saltiness of the yakitori. Overall it still a good experience and we're definitely coming back. Downside: hard to find parking even though we came on a weekday.

gyukatsu is the best item on the menu. you cook deep fried wagyu steak how you like it on a small grill on your table. everything here tastes like something you would have in Japan. there was no one else in the restaurant when we came on a Monday evening. perfect if you came back from a vacation in Japan and miss eating the food!

This is now one of my favorite kushiyaki places in San Diego. Customer service was great despite being a lunch rush. Food quality was excellent from the chicken to the bacon to the beef. Zero complaints here! Small location but it’s cozy.

This restaurant just opened 3 weeks ago and it is on its way to being one of the best restaurants is San Diego. They specialize is Kushiyaki - which basically Yakitori. The food is simply excellent. There was not one dish that wasn't phenomenal. They also serve a very good, thin noodle ramen. They are a bit pricey, about $40 per person, but this is well worth the excellent taste experience. I will come back - a lot. Come now before the word gets out and they get too busy!

Literally one of the best Japanese restaurants in the city. Easily in my top 3 right off the bat. Every dish tasted like a warm hug from an old friend. It’s simple, beautiful comfort food. Lunch is INCREDIBLY affordable. The atmosphere is wonderful as well. Absolutely will be back regularly.
