Incredible selection, incredible prices, incredible customer service! I found Oak and Barrel while searching for two very rare bottles Jack Daniels. Before I purchased online, I contacted the store and spoke with Pedro. He was extremely knowledgeable, courteous and knew a lot about the Jack Daniels brand. I received the shipment today, arriving securely packaged (ahead of date promised) with no damage. I will again shop here, thank you Pedro!

This store is my go-to. Fabulous selection, and incredibly gracious and helpful staff. If you do go for delivery, they are SO fast. If you go in person, you will be greeted warmly with a smile and willingness to help and zero pressure. Would give 6 stars if I could! I even went to them with a rate bottle they immediately offered to order for me and texted me with updates as they went back and forth with the distributor. Best store in the neighborhood by a landslide!

Great customer service! Andrew is very knowledgeable and has helped my partner and I multiple times to find new wines and regions to explore. Even with pretty vague prompts from us at times he’s always had great recommendations and hits the nail on the head. The selection is much broader than the other wine shops I’ve visited in the area and with very reasonable prices as well. It is definitely our go-to spot in midtown east.

Amazing service!! My first time using their delivery and purchasing from store and I beyond pleased. I am shocked about how seamless and easy the checkout process was. The fact they offer free delivery within the city is reason for me to NEVER EVER, EV-ER consider delivery with any other wines & spirits shop in the city. I mean, I ordered a little after midnight the day I wanted delivery - got my order around 10:00 am that day - just beyond IMPRESSED. Having a service that works as expected, better than expected even, means a lot. Thanks for being awesome!

Walked in 10 minutes to close and were greeted with the kindest customer service. We asked for a chilled white to enjoy in our hotel room, were asked about 3-4 questions on our preferences and given an incredible bottle we are enjoying. Highly recommend Oak and Barrel. Great service and a large wine selection.

Very kind and helpful staff; you’ll always be greeted with a smile and help if needed. A large collection of wine and spirits, great if you’re looking to try something strange or just picking up your go-to. Price wise, they are very reasonable for the area—I have yet to find a liquor store that is on par with this one and that has prices like Oak and Barrel. They also remove all price tags before bagging your items, which adds a classy touch to the whole experience.

This store is very organized and the staff is very knowledgable. I love coming here and trying something new every time. I enjoy coming here because the atmosphere is nice and the selection is always great.

This wine shop is wonderful. The customer service is so great. I'm amazed how quickly they are able to fulfill my order every time - granted I don't live far from the store, but seriously it arrives sometimes within the hour. I also find their prices to be very reasonable, I've seen crazy markups at other shops in the area and here I never feel ripped off. Highly recommend, so much so I was compelled to write this review!

I once did an order from this place through ubereats right before Christmas, the prices weren't bad but on one of the bottles I ordered, they gave me a 750ml bottle when it was for a 1L bottle. Not good messing up an order on 1 item when there were 3 items in the order

I stopped in last week because the M 57 was taking its sweet time and I was in a hurry. What a great store. In the front are wines marked down. Service was friendly and helpful. I bought a Sauvignon (not a New Zealand: Northern California) I really liked. Usually 14.99. I got for 11.00. Upper Cut or Upper Crust. Nice. I would buy again but moved to CA for 10 months.

This is a total gem of a liquor store at 235 E 57th in Midtown East. Scott is a sake connoisseur and we had an educated discussion about sushi and sake. He recommended the Sakura Boy mini Daiginjo which I bought along with a bigger bottle of Daasai Sanwari-Kyubu. I'm hoping to BYOB tonight when we have sushi at one the favorites on Yelp. I also bought a bottle of Bex Riesling which I had a glass of last night at Banc. I am very impressed with the selection of wines and sake brands as well as Scott's knowledge! He's a keeper!! He told me they will overnight ship wine and sake to Huntington! I'm excited!!

This is my favorite liquor store in the upper east side, they have a great selection of wines and liquor (especially whiskeys). Their prices are notably cheaper than the other liquor stores in the area which is why I am a repeat customer here. The location is super convenient as well as they are right across the street from the whole foods so you can stop in after finishing grocery shopping for the week. The staff is also super helpful and friendly!

So, I bought 2 splits (1/2 bottles) of 2015 Bordeaux from this store about 12 days ago. I opened one bottle last night and it had turned...like vinegar! I went back to the store and the the response was...I am sorry, but our policy is you just return within 7 days. Really? Sell me bad wine and I have to drink every bottle within 7 days...so disappointing. This is just a warning to everyone else in the area...shop elsewhere.

I love this place. Great selection of wines and vodkas. Conveniently located across the street from the 57th Street Whole Foods. Very friendly and attentive staff who are eager to help and it never seems crowded or cluttered like a lot of other similar stores. It's upscale with great prices. I walk five blocks out of my way to go to the Oak & Barrel. I trust them and love their diverse selection.

They sell On the Rocks premade cocktails- my favorite! Helpful and friendly staff (and even the other customers were polite).

A nice bnb spot if you're local and it's convient. StFf is knowledgeable but but prices are higher than many stores. Sometimes much higher. I recommend checking prices online before buying if you're shopping here.

They have a pretty good selection of liquor from wines to bourbon. The store is well laid out but does feel a bit crammed. The prices are typical Manhattan prices, so a bit pricier than I am typically used to. The service was nice. All in all a good place if your in the area and need something out of the ordinary or a gift.

This place has a very nice wine selection. They even place little cards on some to indicate that they're a 90 point or above wine. Even the scotch selection was phenomenal. It's hard to come by some of the Pappy Van Winkle they had, which I love to see!

New York does not sell liquor in the regular grocery so you have to find a liquor store. This gem was conveniently located across the street from Whole Foods. The selection was fantastic and had the best prices for fine champagne that I had ever seen. The staff was helpful and made some good recommendations.

I love to order from these guys; it's become one of my favorite Friday traditions. I have to update my review given the strong experiences that I have had of late. What I must stress is the wide selection, of really good offerings in all the categories that I've tried. As I said in my prior review, they carry some of the recognizable brands that you see across many stores, but they also have some much more curated (there's that word again) choices as well, with an enthusiastic, friendly staff to help out. Also, their delivery has been fast and efficient.

I decided to spoil myself on a trip to NYC right before my birthday. This shop did not disappoint, I flew home a few days later with some very special Loire valley bottles. The staff was knowledgeable and very helpful, while also allowing me to geek out in peace on their awesome collection. Next time I'm staying in Midtown, I'll definitely try to pay them a visit again.

Owner placed add for small bottle Chandon on google buy 6 get 15% off I called he had me emailed him the ad which I did spoke to a Matt on the promises the honor the percentage off showed up to buy 40 bottles and was told they will only gave 5% further interestingly enough the add was removed from google #fraud #dishonesty

I went to the liquor store today to exchange a very expensive bottle of champagne that I received as a gift for the equivalent in wine. I do not drink champagne and it would definitely go to waste. It was never removed from the store packaging and had the receipt attached. They refused to do any kind of exchange as it was 14 days over their return policy and didn't care that we are in Covid times and it is not easy to get around.

Extremely disappointed! I live around the corner.I frequently walk purchase liquor and the staff is very courteous but to my dismay. I called and ask for a delivery but it wasn't quite 25 dollars,they wouldn't take the order. Well I won't be going there anymore!! WTF

The store is not currently accepting walks in for safety, so I placed a delivery order online and received it very quickly. I was impressed.

Stopped by yesterday for a few bottles of wine. The open format and pumping AC was fantastic!Good selections and moderate pricing (for Manhattan) and the staff was friendly & helpful. Def will be my new go-to spot.

Terrible service. Bought a bottle of dom p for my birthday and it ended up being corked. Mold all over the cork black spots and horrible smell. Unknowing I served the wine thinking it was fine and just the cork until we tasted that it was off. They wouldn't replace because it was empty.

Great store to learn more about wine! The FREE tastings for customers are amazing. Come tonight( Thurs. 8/3/17 to try 4 delicious wines,French,Italian and one of the Best/Price Quality New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs!

Don't buy here. Horrible. If you go in store it is likely ok, yet if you order online you will receive cheaper wine replacements. Careful!!

After an initial bad experience last fall, the new manager wrote me personally to apologize. I finally took him up on his offer to come in and give them another try, and I'm glad I did. The new manager is great, and the people who work there now really know their stuff. Happy to have this spot in my neighborhood!

Great selection and at reasonable prices. The staff is always attentive and ready to offer their help. There are also some wine tastings that happen occasionally so you have an opportunity to taste some new wines.

This store opened recently and I've been to it a few times already. It has a wide selection of products and a great layout - it's very roomy and everything from the sake and liquors to the wines and champagnes and even accessories are well-organized. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable too. They recommended a nice whiskey for me that I had never tried. Thank you!

Whack! The shop looks nice but doesn't really flow well and the selection is overwhelming. It would be helpful if someone working there could actually help customers sort through it but not so much the case. There doesn't seem to be any kind of focus. 0I don't know, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go back

Just discovered Oak&Barrel on my way home from work. This is a nice shop with a great selection of wines and spirits. Nicely curated mix of a wide range of wines. Very awesome whiskey selection; I found one that is super hard to find. The staff was great; very helpful and friendly. I will most definitely be coming back to Oak&Barrel!!
