Really delicious. I ordered the maple glazed duck dish right before they took it off the menu. The flavor of it and the accompanying grains and vegetables are so delicious. Service was excellent as well. The only critiques I have are that i wish they cooked the duck more. And I wish the portion was bigger. I had to take it home and finish it up, but otherwise really delicious and I can imagine the rest of the pasts taste just as well.

I’ve been waiting patiently for Oak and Honey to open! From the facade to the interior of Oak and Honey the atmosphere is totally my vibe. The staff members (especially my server Sharron) were knowledgeable of the background and mission of Oak and Honey which gave a very family like presence, which is impressive just for being open 6 days. I learned all the bread is made in house! So cool. I had two x two and the pancakes! The two came with eggs, a side of potatoes and a choice of meat. I would come back solely for the potatoes. They were my favorite item I had. I chose bacon as my meat as my meat. , I am a huge bacon snob and unfortunately the bacon here did not meet my standards and I do not recommend. The bacon was thinly cut and not full of flavor. I prefer bacon to be butcher cut and on the thicker side. The pancakes were perfect and I def recommend giving them a try. I have high hopes for Oak and Honey and look forward coming back to try the lunch, & dinner menu. 9/25: I came back for a second visit and had Oak and Honey’s breakfast sandwich on their sour dough bread with pork sausage. Absolutely delicious! I recommend giving it a try. Thank you Oak and Honey 🍯 5/30/25: UPDATE!!!!! Oak and Honey updated their bacon to my absolute favorite local bacon, Jone’s Dairy Farm bacon!!! Thank you!!!!

I ordered pick up on a lazy Sunday morning after walking by this place a couple hundred times. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with sausage, a drip coffee, and a chocolate almond croissant. The bread for the sandwich was incredible, aioli was flavorful, and the egg was tender and not overcooked. I didn't love the sausage but there was nothing wrong with it, I think whatever spice mix is in it just wasn't for me. Next time I would choose bacon or one of the many other promising things on the menu. The potatoes on the side were good and would probably be better dining in. The croissant was perfect - flaky layers and packed with so much chocolate and almond that it was downright heavy, but in a good ooey-gooey way. Definitely should treat it like its own meal and not a dessert if you want to be able to move around the rest of the morning. Coffee was fine, I will probably try one of their espresso drinks next time. There definitely will be a next time. Everything was very good quality and it looked like there was decent seating inside for both singles and groups, so I will keep this place in mind when planning future outings.

Google
The food was exactly what I needed and was so delicious. I got the bacon breakfast sandwich on the croissant and omg it was phenomenal. The garlic aioli was perfection and the smashed crispy potatoes were just amazing. Will definitely be coming back. Also the lattes were pretty good.

Finally stopped in after walking past 1,000 times and the only regret was that we hadn’t come sooner! Nice selection of unique cocktails that were great, and the food was even better. We had the pork chop and the lettuce wraps. Great atmosphere, experience, and service. Thanks, Leo!

Google
This family business is really nice. Benn here a few times with the kids for brunch/breakfast. We had the Brioche French Toast, Classic French Omelet, Beet Salad, Goddess salad, Parfait and some other small things- all were good 👍

Google
I recently dined at this wonderful restaurant and had the pleasure of trying the Spanish Octopus. It was cooked to perfection, tender and full of flavor. Zoe and Sharron made the experience memorable with their impeccable service. Zoe, in particular, crafted some of the finest espresso martinis I've ever had. She also recommended a white wine from Uruguay, which turned out to be a fantastic pairing with the octopus, elevating the dish even further. Sharron was incredibly kind and friendly, making me feel very welcome and at ease during my dining experience. To top it all off, I had the chocolate pie for dessert, and it was absolutely great. Highly recommend this spot for both the outstanding food and exceptional service.

Google
While many think of this place as a breakfast spot they also have an excellent dinner menu. The taste of the food and the cocktails were excellent. I tried the sweet potato ravioli, mushroom (farmers) flatbread, the bread basket, the cookie with ice cream, and the honey pie. Everything was excellent!

Yelp
My friends and I came here because I've been dying to try this new spot on broadway and it did not disappoint. It's a tapas style restaurant and every meal we had was incredible. The music was phenomenal and at a perfect volume, the vibes were great. We are definitely going back! I highly recommend the cookie skillet

Yelp
What an exceptional addition to the neighborhood. The former occupant Ceres Table was very good so I worried about what would come next. Oak & Honey absolutely knocked it out the park. Finally decided to drop by for a late breakfast yesterday and was super satisfied from start to finish. The owners did an excellent job at revamping the interior, gotta love a good ambience but it's the food (and friendly service) that will keep me coming back as a loyal customer. Best pancakes ever. Lattes were on point. I'm here for a beer and sandwich soon for sure.

Yelp
We didn't plan on coming here it was such a happy accident! The ambiance is cozy, warm and I love the decor! The food was phenomenal and we only tried the appetizers (because we have dinner elsewhere later) it was so good, the octopus was delicious!! The cocktails were also well made and balance. Will definitely be coming back for a proper meal! Oh the service was good

Yelp
Delicious! Food was very good. Breakfast sandwich was amazing. Only giving a 4/5 due to price and portion size of meals. Understand it's Chicago and will be more expensive, but compared to other brunch places, it was on the higher end. Recommend trying to sit outside.

Yelp
We had brunch on a weekday here, and I found it quite enjoyable! The servers seemed a little harried, but they might have been short staffed due to the holidays. They have a relatively spacious interior and comfortable seating. Definitely visit on the weekend if you want access to the full menu; I was intrigued by several of the options that were not available at the time. I got the duck au jus with the salad, and my friend got it with the fries. I thought it was tender and juicy, perfect with the hearty bread. The salad greens were fresh and the dressing worked well to cut through the fat. The fries were also crispy and well seasoned. The coffee is fine; nothing too special there. Prices are consistent with eating out in the area ($35 for entree + coffee). I'd be interested in trying their dinner menu!

Yelp
We stopped into Oak & Honey for a late breakfast on Sunday. We were fortunate to get a table at the open threshold to the sidewalk. Great for people watching and a cool fall breeze. The atmosphere was very chill, upscale boho vibe. The service was excellent. Quick but not pushy. Informative on menu choices and options. My bride landed on the Root Vegetable blend with Eggs and homemade sourdough toast. Accompanied by homemade jelly too. I opted for the Monte Cristo on house made brioche with some awesome pan fried fingering potatoes. I added some hot sauce too. Both dishes were excellent. We hope to get back there soon to try their dinner meals

Yelp
This place is a neighborhood winner the likes of wish I had closer to me. We came to Chicago to meet up with my daughter and hang for my birthday. We met up at Oak and Honey because its and easy walk from her old place (which she was staying at with friends), and because it was the type of easy, accessible brunch we were looking for generally. It is neither diner, nor tablecloth-esque. It just works perfectly. They have a full barista type set up so coffee and drink options go way beyond the typical "house brew" default. There are great choices of made-in-house bakery items and the meals were tasty, well-prepared and substantial. The environment is comfortable and inviting and we will be happy to come back.

Yelp
Visited during the first week of this restaurant opening, so we didn't get to try any drinks as their bar wasn't fully stocked just yet. However, the food was AMAZING. We had the duck and gnocchi(not pictured). The duck is probably one of the best duck dinners I've had in a while. Perfectly paired with mushroom and shaved celery (which I would've never thought of pairing with duck haha). I normally avoid ordering pasta or gnocchi as it's quite heavy for my taste, but the gnocchi here was very light and refreshing almost like a pasta salad. I cannot wait to visit again!

Yelp
Excellent food, the plating was beautiful and everything was delicious. Sat at the bar and the bartender took excellent care of me including discussing the menu. He said everything was house made, right down to all the sauces and even the ice cream. Super impressive and ambitious of them, and it came through in the food. I was torn on getting dessert - I'm not a big pie girl, and was genuinely concerned even the French silk pie wouldn't be sweet enough for my insane sweet tooth. I was pleasantly surprised though - it is SO rich and chocolatey. The bartender does not play around with the pours either ;) Oh, ambiance - This is a really cute spot and the giant floor-to-ceiling windows open to the sidewalk are really neat. That area is going to be nice to sit in during the fall. Overall a really good addition to Lakeview and I hope they make it long term!

Yelp
So so good- I am consistently blown away. The bread basket here is fresh and diverse and AMAZING. Short ribs melted off the bone. We had the cookie skillet with homemade ice cream and it was the best cookie I've had in a moment. The creme brûlée was light and satisfying. Peaceful atmosphere and the cutest wallpaper. Very lovely date spot!!

Yelp
While I want you to succeed, dinner last night was a flop. Mediocre lettuce salad; done but not tender (so on the rare side) octopus; greasy combo of potatoes and sausage...Not up to the par as my previous hamburger for lunch there. And the sourdough that I purchased on a Sunday--hurray for fresh bread ! Busing service was intrusive...pacing beside the table, removing items just as the fork sat down. Step it up to stay on Broadway in Chicago.

Yelp
Great food and great service, an awesome addition to the neighborhood. We shared the short rib and the duck

Yelp
This spacious new restaurant on a lively block had good food, friendly service and a wonderfully mellow vibe (thanks, Steely Dan!). It was nearly empty on a Wednesday morning and I got to have a delightful chat with the server. The root vegetable hash and perfect egg was simple and just what I needed. Wish the back was brighter, but there are a few tables up front.

Yelp
First time went for breakfast. Place is so warm and the staff is very welcoming. Coffee is good not great but I am a coffee snob. I had egg and sausage. Cooked perfectly. Sausage was fantastic. Very good fried potatoes. Overall great food very good service will be back. Would have been 5 stars but the coffee set them back so 41/2. Leave a nice tip for your service team, they work hard.

Eric S.

Yelp
Excellent food and a beautiful atmosphere. You can tell they really put care into everything. A great addition to the neighborhood.

Yelp

Yelp
Excellent breakfast sandwiches and I got a whole apple pie with oat crumble topping for a dinner party and it was a hit.
