​I recently had my first dinner at Oak Steakhouse in Charlotte, and it was an absolute standout from start to finish! ​The highlight of the night was the steak tartare, which they prepared tableside. It was perfectly seasoned and incredibly fresh—watching the process really added to the experience. For the main, the steak frites was executed beautifully; the steak was tender and topped with a rich, velvety butter that paired perfectly with the crispy, parmesan-dusted fries. My table also shared several sides, and you can’t go wrong with any of them. The Brussels sprouts had a great char and tang from the pickled onions, the mac and cheese was decadently bubbly and golden, and the mashed potatoes were exquisite. ​If you're looking for a top-tier steakhouse experience in the Queen City with great service and an even better menu, this is it. I’ll definitely be back!

An Exceptional Anniversary Experience at Oak Steakhouse We had an amazing experience celebrating our anniversary at Oak Steakhouse — it truly exceeded our expectations. The staff was friendly, attentive, and professional throughout our evening. Kevin, the manager, went above and beyond by visiting our table several times and even sharing fun facts from the year we got married — such a thoughtful touch! The food was outstanding — perfectly cooked steaks, delicious Brussels sprouts, and flavorful potatoes. The cocktails were top-notch as well; the smoked Old Fashioned was one of the best I’ve ever had. We finished the evening with a decadent chocolate tart and French press coffee — the perfect ending to a perfect meal. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Tables were nicely spaced, the relaxing jazz music added to the ambiance, and while the restaurant had a lively energy, it was still easy to hold a conversation without feeling crowded. Having dined at numerous fine dining restaurants in Charlotte, Oak Steakhouse has quickly become our favorite after just one visit. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience — we can’t wait to return!

Absolutely delicious and amazing food! The service was exceptional as well! Beautiful and welcoming atmosphere. We had the lobster bites, steak tartare (prepared tabelside), wedge salad (best I’ve ever had), filet mignon - medium rare cooked perfectly, grilled lobster tail, and apple creme brulee. Highly recommend!

We had reservations but ended up arriving a bit early — no problem at all, as we were seated right away. We were celebrating a special occasion, and the team went above and beyond by placing a thoughtful, hand-signed card at our table. That small touch really set the tone for the evening. Everyone we interacted with was warm, welcoming, and professional. A special shoutout to our server, Addy, who truly made the experience exceptional. She was attentive, friendly, and incredibly accommodating. At one point, she overheard that my daughter liked a particular dish but wasn’t a fan of one of the ingredients. Without us even asking, she had the dish adjusted and brought it out so my daughter could enjoy it — such a thoughtful gesture. As for the food — it was fantastic. The steaks were cooked exactly to our liking, and every side dish was full of flavor and perfectly paired with the main courses. Oak Steakhouse made our night memorable, and we’ll absolutely be returning the next time we’re in town. Highly recommend!

I can’t believe I haven’t left a review until now, 5 times here and it’s somehow better every time. The atmosphere, the service, THE FOOD! Everything is always top tier. Jordan was phenomenal today, but we’ve never had a bad experience. We came here to celebrate my birthday and were greeted with a birthday card from the staff. Little things like that set Oak apart from other places. The food is always cooked perfectly, they take extra care for my wife’s many allergies, and the drinks are always unique and well thought out. There’s no shortage of great things I can say about this place. Come in and try for yourself, you cannot be disappointed!!

This past week i celebrated my birthday in charlotte. Oak steakhouse was my birthday dinner for two, i couldn’t have picked a better place. The atmosphere for one was chill and allowed you to carry good conversation and vibes. You wouldn’t even realize there was others sitting next to you. But beside the food being amazing i have to give PRAISE to our server APRIL, chefs kiss , top notch service, the conversation she gave and the delivery of time she gave us, has me expecting that services everywhere i go. She was beyond amazing. I really want to thank oak steakhouse for the birthday card and gift you guys top notch service, my new favorite steakhouse 🥰

We got a last minute reservation at this place. Our server Debbie was absolutely amazing and very attentive (we were even served a free appetizer which was a lovely surprise). The food was good but I felt like the cocktails didn't match the "aura" of the place.. I had a Manhattan and an Old Fashioned, but neither were very memorable.... Our total came close to $300 including tip.

We came to Oak Steakhouse to celebrate a girlfriend’s birthday and had the best experience! The food was absolutely amazing. Everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Service was outstanding. Chong took such great care of us, and Melissa was awesome too! They really made the night feel special. The atmosphere was cozy, intimate, and elegant. We truly felt like royalty in there. Highly recommend for any special occasion or night out!

Great Father's Day experience all around! Our server Aaron was great. Gave my family and I complementary bubbles for a toast to start of our dinner. A lovely touch. I really enjoyed my tequila drink. It was made with agave lime, and Campari! Loved it was refreshing, and not so sweet. For our appetizers, we got the oyster Rockefeller! They were delicious. My father, who is not a big fan of seafood, even found the flavor and texture balanced! Their wedge salad comes with crushed hard-boiled egg, which I feel is a very nice touch that a lot of restaurant wedges, lack. My mother ordered the Chilean Seabass, and was not disappointed. I tried a little bit of her fish, although I am not a fish person,it was not overly fishy. The zucchini/squash melody the bass was rested on, brought the entire dish together. My father's prime rib was sliced table side, for a little extra flare. The prime rib was very tender, prepared to a perfect medium rare. The Ajou sauce was a littttleee salty for him, but I enjoyed the sauce entirely. (I love salt, lol). For myself, I ordered the Australian lamb rack, it was rested and drizzled with chimichurri as well as some haricot verts and diced red potatoes. Out of all the dishes I tried, I may be biased, but the Australian rack of lamb seemed to be the most flavor forward dish of the night. The brussels sprouts were perfectly prepared charred perfection topped with various pickled veggies. My only negative comment for the night, was the slice of pineapple upside down cake that came with the prime ribeye special. Unfortunately it was very dry, crumbly, and lacking flavor. We did not take more than one bite. When I return, I am hoping to try the duck breast and their filet mignon! Because it was a special occasion, I wanted to try some thing I don't normally get. I order too many filets!! ¨ Again, big, thanks to Aaron our server, and the rest of Oak steakhouse staff, who made our night so memorable.

Tuesday 2/13/24 we celebrated our 31st anniversary at Oak Steakhouse CLT. Fantastic meal, service and atmosphere. Addysin was our server and she was excellent, very knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make our visit special. 8oz filets were delicious and each cooked to perfection. Make sure you order an old fashioned and get it smoked, cool presentation and amazing taste. The entire them was great and we can't wait to return.

Oak steakhouse provides the quality of an upscale steakhouse, traditional feel yet not outdated. Located in South Park, it's a great option if you are looking for a traditionally fantastic steak. Service is impeccable and we were celebrating my fiancé's birthday. The attention to detail that Oak provides is well worth it. We tried the ribeye, 8 ounce filet mignon, scallops, which were pan seared, whipped potatoes, and brussels sprouts. They also have a great cocktail menu!

We really enjoyed our meal Apps were nice and the beef selection was to our liking . Grill was spot on

Parking was hard to find at first. We were able to find parking in a parking garage across from the fox restaurant. We couldn't make a reservation so we sat at the bar which is first come first serve (it's best to make a reservations) the restaurant was very elegant and a great vibe. This is great place for anniversary celebrations and date night. Our server made us great drinks and provided great service. I had the lamb (came with green beans and mini potatoes) my hubby had dry aged steak. Our sides (which is alacart and can feed two people) was Mac and cheese, asparagus, and Brussels sprouts, (for appetizer) we had a lobster M (can't remember the second word) Everything was delicious. We will definitely be back to enjoy another meal

Excellent quality food and service! The music and ambiance were just right- this place truly embodies a local steakhouse. Ryan and Keith were very hospitable and attentive to my family. I will definitely bring clients and family again. Thank you both for making this a special treat!

Great meal! We had the lobster off menu appetizer, a filet, boneless ribeye, Brussels sprouts and truffle fries. Everything was really good!

I went here for my friend's birthday dinner and it was nice. We parked in a close parking garage (which was free) but I was expecting complimentary valet. Other reviews have said this location had valet so I was confused. I got the bone marrow and peach salad. Both were very mid & pricey - bone marrow didn't really have any flavor and it was a tiny portion that was actually edible , and the peach salad was a bit dry. My friends got the surf n turf and Mashed potatoes, and seemed to like it. Our waiter was amazing though ! An overall cute date spot. I might return to try other dishes.

I came with a group of friends and we agreed our server did well but several of us were disappointed with the food. I ordered the market entree of the day and it was borderline inedible. Everything was overcooked. The fish was dry and tough and the bed of rice it was on was bland mush. We ordered sides for the table; the cauliflower was good, the brussel sprouts a bit too salty but the asparagus was pretty good. I will say that those of us who ordered steak were happy but one at the table ordered lamb and he wasn't impressed. It's a nice restaurant but not one I would return to.

Oak Steakhouse continues to be one of my favorite restaurants in Charlotte. I have been several times since my last review, but most recently left Thanksgiving Dinner up to them. They offered a three-course pre-fixed menu on Thanksgiving with several other items for those who did not want the pre-fix menu. Upon arriving we were greeted at the door with a warm welcome and taken to our table. Our server, Stuart, was amazing from beginning to end. We did choose the pre-fix menu. First Course Options: Oyster Chowder, Fall Salad or a Caesar Salad. Second Course: Turkey, white & dark, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green bean casserole and macaroni & cheese. Third Course Options: Pecan Pie, Apple Pie, or Pumpkin Cheesecake. The salad courses were served with fresh bread and homemade butter. The salads were plentiful and fresh. Only down side, my Caesar had a little too much dressing for my liking. The turkey dinner was amazing! Each item was cooked to perfection and like the salads the plate was plentiful, which called for leftovers. And, finally, the desserts. Pumpkin Cheesecake was definitely the winner. Light, fluffy and all pumpkin flavor. We also enjoyed the apple pie. Overall, again, Oak lived up to what I expected. Thank you to the staff, Stuart and the cooks for an amazing Thanksgiving Dinner!

Check out Oak Steakhouse during #ChatlotteQueensFeast. The restaurant has a modern upbeat feel. When it came to food, it was a little disappointing. I tried their filet mignon; it was ok. The quality of the meat does not seem to be prime. The side dishes were okay, too, the same as the dessert. They may not be their top choices regarding the Queen feast menu. They tuck in add-ons that add up pretty quickly. The wine pairing was pricey compared to the other steak houses participating. The service was excellent, however. I'm ambivalent about this restaurant.

My husband made dinner rsvp for our date night! This was our 1st visit to Oak Steakhouse. The food was absolutely delicious and seasoned well. The service & ambiance was amazing! April was our waitress and she was very attentive & friendly. She made great suggestions for our appetizers, dinner & drinks! Short wait for our food!! Great service overall!! We ordered lobster morsels & Rockefeller oysters for appetizers and ordered filet mignon with roasted cauliflower & brussel sprouts for dinner. We will definitely visit again & bring our favorite couples with us for another date night. Highly recommend Oak Steakhouse for your next date night!!

Such a waste, I'm sorry maybe they just had an off night which can happen. I'm just shocked as a place this pricey should be pretty spot on. We even went on a week day when it was not busy. Our steak was tough and all our food came out cold. We had to wait a long time and we were hungry and didn't want to have to wait any longer so we just ate it with no complaints. Also our server after dropping it off didn't come back for a while to check on us to even mention it so felt weird something once he came back and we already finished half! I definitely am not a big franchisee but RUTH CHRIS AND CAPITAL GRILL is wayyyyyy better! Sorry hate reviewing so terribly just huge disappointment. On a up note the ambience was very nice and romantic!

Oak Steakhouse has certainly become one of our favorite staples here in Charlotte. The staff and the ambiance are always perfection. We have tried several items from the menu and we have a few favorite items to include the Brussels sprouts and crab cakes. My husband enjoyed the steak as well.

Fantastic experience for my fiancés birthday. Our server, Ben, was from Turkey, so we chatted about our recent visit to Istanbul with him. The restaurant wasn't aware it was my fiancés birthday and yet they immediately pulled out the usual stops despite no prior knowledge. The service was an absolute 11/5 for us. My fiancés wagyu was amazing and it is probably one of the times I didn't need convincing that it was authentic, unlike other places that try to swindle you with American or Australian "wagyu." My boneless ribeye was probably the best I've had in recent memory and the butter, sear, and tenderness were perfect. We received complimentary bone marrow, mashed potatoes, and dessert. The bone marrow was good enough to order on its own, especially with the delicious dinner rolls they serve from Amelie's bakery. I've had bone marrow before but this blew it out of the water. I recommend it to everyone. Thank you to Ben and Oak for a fantastic evening.

My husband surprised Me with reservations and it was amazing from start to finish! We got there a little before our reservation and they accommodated us with ease. The server was very knowledgeable and had the perfect balance of being present when we needed, but not around too much! The food was excellent and the espresso martini was frothy and wonderful till the last drop! Very impressed and happy he chose this for a date night out!

I served as chaperone for my little sister's 17th birthday dinner at Oak and had a pleasant experience: Location is so quaint and very aesthetically pleasing 10/10! The service was impeccable, and all of the food came out together. They were very accommodating to our bustling party with various inquiries. The food was pretty good. The filet mignon was my favorite, and the girls loved the fries. I had a salad that wasn't too flavorful. I was told the lemonade wasn't great, but the burgers were a hit. We topped it off with complementary chocolate cake for the birthday girl, but the reviews for that weren't too good. Overall, this is a GREAT date spot in a good location (parking garage nearby and also some individual spots) and the service is fantastic. I could tell the food could be a little better, but don't count Oak Steakhouse out when you're considering your next evening out-just be strategic on what you order!

Spent my 40th Birthday at Oak Steakhouse with close friends and we had an amazing time. Ryan was our awesome waiter and he tended to all of our needs. The food was delicious and the drinks were even better. The intimate low light setting really took this place to the top for me. It was the best personalized experience I've ever had. I cant wait to return!

The front staff was exceptionally pleasant and very helpful. Of course it was very busy because it's Mothers Day... we went to the bar and the manager was helping out. He recommended the "Dark & Stormy" which has ginger for days and very delicious if I may say so myself. Definitely give them a try

This was my 2nd time here and it was very non inviting. The first visit everything was great. Servers were attentive and food was good. This time we walked in, the man at the host stand didn't say good evening, or hello he just said can I help you with something? We sat for 10 minutes and nobody came to the table to see what we would like to drink or to bring bread. Mind you it wasn't busy, so no excuse. We had no idea who our server was, everyone was just walking around, so i just had to stop a random one to find out when we would be able to order. We didn't get our bread until we got our food!! Won't be going back. They also need a little more light so you can actually see the check.

Charlotte location. Never got our mac n cheese with out $65 steak. Asked for the manager and he said he wouldn't put it on our bill. Dah! It better not! No offer for free desert or anything. the asst manager came over and told us how two people didn't show up blah blah blah. Overall extremely disappointing experience for a few hundred bucks! Our waiter was horrible. never took our plates when we were finished with the food we did get. had to ask him to. of course, didnt even ask if we wanted deseert. We love the Oak in Raleigh- it's a go-to for a good steakhouse experience: great steaks, impeccable service, and delicious, creative sides. We were excited to try the sister shop in Charlotte on a recent business trip. We won't be back. The front of the house: great. Hosted promptly and seated at a nice window table. The service: also great. Knowledgeable, personable, not overly fussy when we wanted to talk more than order. Therefore, two stars. But let's talk food. Martini: nothing exciting. Not anything that came across as "crafted." Special flash-fried "Lobster Bites": the clarified butter was a nice touch, but once you got to the bottom of the paper cone, it was State-fair territory. Scallops: Delicious, and the puree they were plated on made sense. Steaks: Okay, so I may come across suspect that I love the cheapest cut on the menu, the flat-iron. I always get it medium rare, and it's delish. The Mrs. always gets a filet (don't judge). My steak came out warm, and medium rare, coast-to-coast, looking like immersion-cooked perfection. The filet? Medium. But cold. Like, straight out of the low-boy cold. And sauces, because heck, I paid for them: weird. Pink bearnaise that had a skin on the top of the ramikin, cold, thick, almost like a terragon (and cayenne?)- flavored mayonaise. We let the server know, and she promptly took the filet back to have them refire another, even though we just wanted to let them know, hey, not really what we expected, and didn't ask for a recook. In five minutes we got back a freshly-fired and carved filet, smothered in bearnaise (5oz filet calls for an 8oz ladle, no?), which was so warm it had curdled. The fresh pile of frites that now dwarfed the new steak were screaming hot. Message received, guys. Brussels Sprouts on the side: again, not the best, but passable. Pickled red onions make everything brighter, even if they are out of place in a dish. Frites: we love the truffle oil, but miss the beef tallow fries a the Raleigh store. Maybe this was an off night to go to Oak, but with a variety tried-and-true of American Steakhouse experiences in the immediate area, Oak in CLT is a pretty expensive risk to go back and give a second chance.

Your next date or friend link up should be at Oak steakhouse . Oaksteak house passes the ambiance check & the steaks were cooked to perfection . We enjoyed the cocktails and the wine pairings as well . Our server Ben was impeccable with his service and knowledge of wine and more . You can't visit a steak house and don't order steaks . We indulged in both the 8 Oz C.A.B FILET MIGNON, & the 18 Oz C.A.B PRIME KC STRIP /MKT added additions of king crab lobster. They were both prepared to perfection , super tender and full of flavor . The appetizers , sides , desserts everything was amazing the only dish I did not enjoy so much was the macaroni it lacked flavor . Other than that Oak steak house passes the ambiance , vibe , food & drinks check for me .

The Food was fantastic and the service was even better! Al was a fantastic server! The Ambiance is great. We will definitely be coming back.

First off the staff is amazing. Would give them 10 stars. It was Father's Day and everyone who came by our table wished me a Happy Fathers Day. The food was alright. Both my son and I ordered the ribeye medium rare and we both had to send it back to be cooked longer. The manager brought them back to us and was very apologetic. He even got me another Manhattan on the house. The lobster Mac n Cheese was nothing special and it came out Luke warm at best. We ate it anyway and didn't want to complain anymore after the steaks. The dessert was great. It was a Candy Bar piece of cheesecake. One of the best I have ever had. I would say the food is a little pricey for what we got. Steaks were $79 but the quality was more like $45. Inside was a nice atmosphere. Tables have a little room between each so that you don't feel crowded. The staff really saved it from being a 3 star. It wasn't crowded and it was Fathers Day so I would have expected the kitchen to be on their game, they weren't.

Let me tell you, this restaurant never disappoints. We just had our anniversary dinner here, and restaurant reached out to me beforehand to ask a little bit about us. When we arrived they handed us a small anniversary gift. Who does that?! The thoughtfulness and attention to detail just goes the longest way to always put this place on our special occasions list. The drinks were delicious. I had the old fashion with duck fat washed bourbon that was soooo smooth. We had some tasty oyster Rockefeller. Then steaks. Everything was on point, the service was fantastic and I can't recommend this place enough.

Met some people here for dinner after work and overall it was good. It's a steakhouse so the environment has a lot of dark wood and feels more formal. There are quite a few options on the menu and everything we ordered was fresh and tasty. We ordered appetizers to share plus salads and entrees and everyone was happy with their food. The waiter made a number of recommendations and the chef sent out and appetizer to try. Overall a very nice experience.

Oak Steak House undoubtedly falls within the higher price range, but the overall experience justifies the cost. It's the perfect spot for celebrating special occasions, impressing clients, or simply indulging in the finer aspects of life.

Very happy with our experience at Oak Steakhouse. Parking can be a pain but that is a minor issue. The restaurant is beautiful and has such a nice, classy feel to it. April was our server and she was wonderful. We started with some cocktails which were very good. We shared sides of brussel sprouts and carrots. Both were delicious. My husband had a steak which he said was very good and I had the chicken. The presentation and smell of the chicken were excellent. The chicken tasted good but was a bit dry. For dessert we shared the creme brulee and it was sooooo good! We will be back again soon!

Enjoyed dinner with my parents and 3 friends. We were seated right away for our reservation at a big round table. The table had a lazy Susan in the middle so we could easily share the bread and sides, etc. They brought several different drink menus -- wine by the glass and cocktails, whiskey and wine by the bottle. Our waiter asked if we wanted bread and we said yes and we also ordered a meat and cheese board. We ordered and it took a while to have our food brought out, but everyone said their steaks and sides were great. The whipped potatoes were yummy. I had the fresh catch -- mahi with an avocado and mango salsa and it was great. I noticed 2 kitchen staff members not wearing masks.

Decided to visit this place for a girls night out dinner. I've heard mixed reviews but I was willing to give it a try. Reservation: Highly suggested. We still ended up waiting about 10 mins to be seated. Parking: free parking available in the parking deck or in the spots near the street Appetizer: Duck and dumplings- The duck was tender with delicious black eye peas and an amazing sauce. The dumplings had a slight crunch on the outside but tender in the inside. ORDER THIS 5/5 stars Side: Mac & cheese- after waiting to get our entree, our Mac & cheese was NOT warm. After waiting for as long as we did, we were disappointed.Our waiter exchanged our Mac & cheese for a warmer one but it was just okay. 1/5 Hot food just taste better. Service: except to wait. We waited to be seated, we waited to get our appetizer, my friend waited for her cocktail then we waited even longer to get our entree. Our waiter was attentive to our needs and kept us updated on the status of our food. 3.5/5 Entree: Oak Burger with fries. The caramelized onions, cheese and beef was a great combination of flavors. My friend ordered th Trout (catch of the day) it was flavorful and tasty. The fish was so hot the steam was coming off of it, guessing that's why the mac&cheese was probably not warm. 4/5

Overpriced, poor quality. My husband & I ordered the filet. I can cook one better at home. The oysters were delicious. . My cousins ribeye had excessive fat. The service was very good. Erin was spot on. Nothing special.

Came here on my birthday which fell on a Wednesday so the crowd was limited. We sat at the bar & ordered drinks while our table was prepared. I had the Cab Hindsight 20/20 which was delicious & my date had their Mule that comes with an apple slice, he really enjoyed it & ordered seconds. We were seated in one of the cozy red booths & the bartender ended being our server. He was very knowledgeable of the menu & attentive. For starters we had 2 oysters Rockefeller & 2 shrimp cocktail. The oysters were amazing! My date got the 22 oz bone in Ribeye with crab meat on top & I opted for the 16 oz with a side of truffle fries. I ordered my steak med well & it was pretty much well done. Guess I will have to start ordering my steaks medium in order to get it cooked right? Lastly, I recommend they splurge a little & get better bread options for the table because the plain, bland rolls they are serving now are NOT IT! Ultimately, this place has great ambiance & high quality food & drinks. Will most likely be back & recommend you give it a shot.

This place has been only wonderful in all of the times that I have visited it. I am a consistent patron to Oak Steakhouse and have been for numerous years. The food here is unlike any other that you'd find for it's price. Each and every molecule from this restaurant which enters my mouth is heavenly. It's as if there is a miniature chef descending upon my taste buds and preparing a meal to rival that of the meats found in Peter Luger Steakhouse right on my tongue. All for a price classified as only 3 dollar signs on Yelp, a total steal for the quality of food which you will experience here. To continue, the employees are nothing but angels to me and those who follow me to this fine establishment, always being at the utmost highest level of service. They all go above and beyond with their jobs, attempting to please anybody who enters, no matter what mood they are in. From my experience, they always succeed in these attempts, leaving me completely satisfied with the waiters, no, the people that I meet here for only brief moments. On top of that, simply being in the restaurant gives you a feeling of giddy and joy, as if you're in a high profile bistro, in which only people from the top echelons of society dine. What I mean by this is that the lighting, the furniture, the decorations, the general layout of the building are all so deluxe and fancy, reminiscent of the restaurant in NYC; Jean-Georges, per se, or another restaurant in NYC, called 'Per Se.' How funny! To conclude, I have only had extremely positive times within Oak Steakhouse, and I highly recommend it to anybody who may get the chance to come here. I would take time out of even the day of a funeral to cheer myself up, rejuvenate myself, one may say, through the taste of a medium-rare ribeye at Oak Steakhouse. If you are looking for a place with delicious foods at a low cost, delightful people with undoubtable skill as workers, and a vibe unmatched by any other in the state, Oak Steakhouse is perfect. -R.M.

Oak Steakhouse was OK. Take a look at my reviews and you'll see I LOVE steakhouses. I will caveat this review and note that I went during 2022 Restaurant Week; which means they may have been busier than normal and balancing staff shortages, ingredient shortages, etc. On a normal night, the experience may have been better. However! While I recognize that could have been a challenge, I'm still going to hold them accountable for the experience, because we didn't order from the restaurant week menu. We paid full-price for our meal and thus, expect a full-price experience. The steak was fine, nothing special. The mac n cheese was so bad, we sent it back... and got the mashed potatoes instead, which tasted out of a box. The brussels sprouts were a little better. Overall, this just wasn't a good experience for us and I likely wouldn't return. Note to anyone participating in Restaurant Week: this is your time to convince people to either come back ... or not. Just because your prices are discounted doesn't mean the experience should be.

Service was amazing. Our waiter was Tommy and he answered all of our questions. It was our first time here and some of the ingredients were unknown to us. One of our dishes didn't come out as expected and I really don't like to send things back, but my husband mentioned it and Tommy as well as the manager came over right away and wanted to fix it! The steak was great as was the soft shell crab appetizer!! Omg so good definitely try if they still have it. Anyways we will be back!

Let's start the review off by saying a waste of time gas and energy. This place was horrible literally everything was flavorless including the tea the only thing that had flavor was the complementary bread. The service was horrible they gave us a pre signed card that was incorrect it said happy birthday we were celebrating an anniversary! We told them that we didn't like the food the waiter was being so rude to us and trying to breakdown how the food is cooked, he told us that he wanted us to take the food home because it would have been a waste and thrown in the trash I advice him by all means throw it away. This restaurant is VERY OVERRATED if you like flavorless food definitely come here! I would never in a million years recommend eating here to any friends or family it's to expensive for the lack of service and food. -0 out of 10!

Service was outstanding, from the bartender, to the hostess and the resultant waiters. seating in the dining area is a little tight, however, they were able to accommodate us to a decent table. i'm very critical about food, dependent on pricing, but I will say the portions were very sizable, and had some unique flavoring with the sides, such as the brussels sprouts and the cauliflower. The bread is very good. my wife's filet was good. My only complaint, as someone who really likes hanger steaks, they didn't cut the gristle/membrane/sinew out. a minor complaint, but at a top-notch steak place, they should do that.

I went here for my 23rd birthday and when I tell you they made everything special the moment me and my girl entered and left the premises. The food was outrageously delicious and mouthwatering, customer service was excellent and the atmosphere is perfect. If I could give this place 6 stars I would and I will say our server Aaron was phenomenal from keeping a conversation entertaining and his recommendations on what you should try menu were spectacular

The best place to go for a perfectly cooked steak. Great place to grab a cocktail and enjoy a fantastic meal...solo or on a date.

Really nice steakhouse in Charlotte. In some ways fairly typical in look and offerings. But our server was certainly top tier and kept things filled and moving without rushing. Filet can be cliche at a steakhouse but this 8 oz was really perfectly seasoned and cooked, ranking among the best I've had, seriously. Truffle fries, whipped potatoes and mushrooms and onions rounded it out.

Great steaks and service. A bit too small and dark atmosphere but romantic. If you're romantically inclined?

Our server was Aron and he couldn't have been most hospitable. Our food came very warmer and advertised. I would recommend for a special occasion or business dinner. These guys are setting a new standard for service in this highly competitive industry.

Wonderful menu choices and even better service. Ask for Serkan, who will provide a wonderful dining experience with excellent professionalism. Ambiance with lighting and well-placed seating marks a perfect dinner setting to enjoy for however long you want to stay and finish dinner with an espresso. Recommend to anyone, whether in the city on your own or out with friends and coworkers. Also ask for the "Golden Ticket" cocktail with bourbon. So smooth and perfect night cap.

It was my first time here last night with 8 others for our monthly fellas meet up. I gave 3 stars instead of five due to our experience while there. Parts were immaculate and other parts were lackluster at best. Let's start with the immaculate: 1. Our server was absolutely awesome. He was prompt, professional, informative, and engaging. 2. The C.A.B Hanger, Filet Mignon, & Ribeye steaks were DELECTABLE and cooked to absolute perfection. The Brussel sprouts were also quite memorable and delicious! 3. The decor and vibe of the establishment were also stellar! Now to the areas of concern. We arrived for our 5pm reservation. 1. We weren't allowed to be seated until 7 out of 9 arrived. This seemed odd because the place was empty as we were the first there since it opens at 5pm. 7 of us arrived by 5:15pm. 2. There seemed to be stifling rules/regulations for large parties which would guarantee a stellar experience, and the experience overall was honestly underwhelming. We were told that there was an automatic 20% gratuity and that they couldn't split checks per person because of our large party. They could only split it evenly across the board or one check. Not sure about the rationale behind this policy in 2022. But we obliged and ended up waiting over an hour for our food. We did our part, but the restaurant didn't? 3. Our food didn't arrive until 7:00pm, which is unacceptable considering we were the first to arrive and seemingly the last to receive our food. Yes we are a party of 9, but that long of a wait for these prices & rigid rules for large parties...Just seems unacceptably odd. 3. Those who ordered the NY Strip Steak and the Burger were underwhelmed w the food. 4. The mac n cheese was bland, cold, and flavorless. 5. The drinks were forgettable as well. My old fashioned seemed watered down. They did offer complimentary drinks after we asked about our food taking so long to arrive. So overall, not sure I'd return...maybe with a party of 4 or less. Just seemed a bit overpriced, inconvenienced, and underwhelming. I'll reconsider possibly.

Was taken here by a special friend and everything turned out well. Our steaks were perfect, staff cordial and when they found out it was my birthday, brought out a huge piece of delicious cake with coulis writing on the plate. Very festive and a surprise on the house!

First time dining at Oak and it was all we could have asked for and more! The service was some of the best I have experienced in a while. That along with the food made this such a memorable experience. It's got a great atmosphere that is perfect for date night! We started off with the Lobster Morsels appetizer and they were incredible, 10/10. The steak was tasty and cooked exactly how we like it - the lobster tail add on was a must. We loved the family style side dishes so we could get a few to share! (You have to try the brussel sprouts, they were some of the best I've ever had). The mashed potatoes were also such a good addition to the meal, you can't go wrong there. Excited to plan another date night to go again and try some different menu items!

Excellent steak and food!! My table came for Easter brunch and got the steak&eggs, egg and steak omelette and the biscuits and gravy. Everything was super delicious and was a great brunch. The food also came out very quickly, we probably waited 10 minutes or so. The service was also quick and excellent! Overall highly recommend this restaurant. Only cons are our table was pretty close to the 3 around us and we were indoors. Also the wait to get our order taken was pretty long. Still had a good experience and would definitely come back.

I liked that Oak has a very intimate feel. It's not a super large space like some of the other steak houses In Charlotte. I ordered the mussels as an appetizer. It was a nice sized portion so I wasn't super hungry when my steak came. We were a little disappointed that there weren't more fish options but we were at a steak restaurant. My steak was cooked well and I loved that they had a sauce menu for which sauce you wanted to adorn your steak. The music was good along with the drinks! Overall I really enjoyed the vibe and would definitely come back. *Sorry if some of the photos are blurry. I was unable to post the video I took and had to screenshot them.
