"Patios are hot commodities in Lake Geneva, especially during tourist season. Oakfire’s second-floor outdoor deck, located just next door to Barrique overlooking the water, is hard to beat. The six-year-old restaurant is best known for its Neapolitan-style wood-fired pizzas cooked inside imported Stefano Ferrara ovens. Favorites include the Bosco (sausage, cremini mushrooms, mozzarella, basil, pecorino) with optional giardiniera in a nod to Chicago. Additional locations are open in Kenosha and Minocqua, Wisconsin." - Naomi Waxman

Oakfire in Lake Geneva is a must-visit! Located right off the lake, the restaurant offers stunning views that make for a perfect dining experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was attentive and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious—every dish we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The drinks were equally impressive, mixed to perfection with a well-stocked bar offering a great selection. Whether you're there for a casual meal or a special occasion, Oakfire delivers on all fronts. Between the incredible food, great service, and unbeatable atmosphere, we highly recommend Oakfire to anyone visiting Lake Geneva. We’ll definitely be back!

I can't get over their cheese curds! They are definitely the best! The Margarita pizza and the Pepperoni with that honey hint was absolutely delicious, the Capri sandwich is a must and the salads are amazing. For dessert we had the affogato and the angioletti, they didn't disappoint. Our server was so attentive, polite and very knowledgeable of the menu, he made sure we were happy with the food and made our evening more pleasant.

Google
Great pizza, appetizers, and drinks!!!! Ate the fried pizza dough so fast I couldn’t get a picture. The service was just okay but it was also very busy. Would definitely say it’s worth a stop!

Google
A little disappointed. Last year had great food & staff was friendly & attentive. This year, 2025, was different. Pizza was good but under cooked, came out wet. Hard to find there server, when we did she just apologized & walked away. Maybe just a busy day but really not a good excuse.

Google
Food and drinks were great. Service a bit slow; it was busy, but not that much. The view is great if you are at the top floor. Probably will return to this place if going again in Lake Geneva.

Google
I don't remember what this pizza was called. I recall arugula, prosciutto, olive oil, parmesan cheese and fresh mozzarella. It was delicious. We don't live in the area but made similar ones at home.

Google
Our food was not there's at first but after speaking to the manager, Sammie, it turned out to be pretty good. If you have more than 2 toppings on your pizza, I strongly suggest you get the new york style crust. Much better. Thanks Sammie for changing our experience to goodness.

Google
Delicious pizza! We came on a Saturday, and though it was busy, we were sat pretty quickly. Service was awesome. We were seated upstairs, and it was a bit chilly. We noticed heaters and asked if they could be turned on. They immediately turned them on, and it got nice and warm very quickly. We had two pizzas. Both were excellent. One was the Bosco, and the other name escapes me, but it had parmesan cream sauce, basil, balsamic glaze, and prosciutto. The crust was so good! We took home cannoli cake, which was also delicious.

Nabila M.

Yelp
Came here for pizza. We ordered the cheese curds which were absolutely delicious. We ordered the bella pizza which is a no tomato sauce based pie and it was so good! We enjoyed our meal and we will definitely be back. Service was very fast and our waitress was very attentive. Will definitely come back when we are in town.

Scott J.

Yelp
Food was good. But it is highly overpriced. I will not be going again because of that. I don't mind spending $200 or over at a place like Wildfire. Because you get your monies worth. Here? $22 for a pizza that is very small. Half that at Aurelios. We had 2 appetizers. They were priced at $16 and $18. Not.much on the plate. You are paying for the atmosphere due to being right across the lake. Service was good though.

Katie B.

Yelp
We came on a Tuesday night and we're seated right away. Our waiter was friendly but failed to tell us there was a deal on the pizza. We ordered a couple of appetizers and the waiter said he could take our order and the appetizers would come out first. They came out first....by about 30 seconds.... When I mentioned it to the waiter he said they should have come out earlier. We were comped 50% off the apps, which is better than nothing. The food was good. Definitely different, but good. I would probably come back when I'm back in town.

Yelp
We came on a Saturday at 5 PM and it was pretty busy, but we were able to get seated upstairs right away. Upstairs is super cute with heaters to help keep you warm if you are by the windows. Our server came over and got our drinks right away. I ordered the limoncello sangria - it was okay. My friend got a mule and she loved it. We both ordered the lobster ravioli... if you come here YOU MUST GET THIS. It was absolutely amazing. I wanted to lick my plate clean. Bill was $70 for two lobster raviolis and the two drinks. So in my opinion, expensive.

Yelp
Located in southern Wisconsin and on the eastern tip of Lake Geneva is an awesome Pizza, Pasta and dessert place called Oakfire. A great view looking out over Lake Geneva. A 2 tier restaurant with roof top seating and a spacious patio which is helpful due to small seating space inside. Also a pet friendly establishment. I was filled with excitement and anticipation watching the plates coming out of the kitchen. Everyone looked more awesome than the last. lol. If you're into apps then I would highly recommend the Bruschetta and definitely get the prosciutto add on. You won't be sorry. I went with the Sant Elmo sandwich. The most tender and tasty piece of chicken on a sandwich, that I can remember having. Filled with tomato, fresh shaved Parmesan,Pesto and Balsamic Dressing on grilled bread. Just melt in your mouth delicious. No need to look at the dessert menu. Hands down it's the 3-Layer Cannoli Cake. As full as I was with the bruschetta and chicken sandwich there was no way I was going to stop eating this heaven on a plate until it was gone. It's that good.

Yelp
Met my cousin and grandma here for a bday celebration. And it was the perfect spot, right on the water with great views. Food was all good but I'd definitely recommend ordering more pizza as it wasn't filing and we ended up still being hungry after. My grandma got a Tito's on the rocks in a tall glass and was very happy with everything by the end :)

Cynthia B.

Yelp
Oakfire was on our list to try while in the Lake Geneva area for the weekend. We stopped by on a Thursday for lunch. Sutton was our server and she was great. She recommended the Soppressata pizza with spicy salami, mozzarella, Romano and arugula with honey drizzle. It was fantastic! Very tasty. My husband had the pepperoni pizza and we also had the meatballs with a dollop of ricotta, which just took it to the next level. Can't wait to visit it again. Loved their thin crust pizza.

Janelle P.

Yelp
Oakfire was probably one of my favorite dinner spots in Lake Geneva. I'm giving it 5 stars as this is one of the best options in the area. Opted for the upstairs outdoor patio, which had an amazing view of the lake while soaking up the sun (my go-to in warm weather). They don't offer reservations, but it worked out fine since it wasn't peak season. Can only imagine how packed it gets then, being a Lake Geneva favorite. Service was good, the wood-fired pizza hit the spot, and the Oakfire Rossa Sangria was absolutely delicious! Would visit again.

Iris P.

Yelp
Oh honey we're on fire!!! We tried Oakfire in Lake Geneva for the first time and we had their pepperoni pizza with honey drizzle and it was OUTSTANDING!!! We brought in our dog and they let us sit outside with him on the patio which was great and it's a huge place and definitely popular it was so crowded! Definitely a must go if you're in lake Geneva and it's dog friendly our puppy had a great time!!

Jenny C.

Yelp
Great views and vibes, and our server was great. Not very good food, sadly. Cheese curds, more cheese cheese TURDS. Flavorless, not the best. Ranch was kens steakhouse in a single serve lol. (No joke, it's still got the wrapper on top). Not that this ruins it, but just shows the care of the restaurant. Ranch and pizza and like spaghetti and meatballs. To top it off, I went to the restroom and there was vomit all over. There was a "caution wet" sign, but not cleaned and wasn't for a while. Super gross and kind of ruined my time. You have views and vibes for days, pick up the food game and make this place great!

Wayne D.

Yelp
One of the few places that's dog friendly. Would be nice to sit outside in a warm weather. Ordered the recommended Hazelnut bourbon. Quite sweet and not much hazelnut flavor. Cheese curd is a must order! A thin and crispy layer of heaven on the outside and rich soft and warm cheese inside. The pesto sausage pizza is pretty good. Quite oily and soft. Dessert: death of chocolate is not my thing and I normally like chocolate dessert. Got a weird flavor brownie bottom. Staff's nice and price's quite cheap in this neighborhood. Second floor got nice lake view.

Connor B.

Yelp
I will say that the pizza was extremely good here, but on the contrary, I have no clue what their staff is doing all day. I went to both the second and first floor and counted over 30 individuals and half of them were just standing in around the entire time we were there. I do understand that they probably get crowded but it seemed a little excessive when we'd have three people come to our table to hand us our food. I do understand that some of them might have been learning, but there was three or four individuals doing the same job for every part of the restaurant. They even had three or four people checking individuals in and two of them were just sitting there on their phones. I will say, though that the experience in general was very good. I enjoyed my pizza thoroughly and you really can't beat that view. It just seemed that at the time we were there there was more staff working there than actual individuals eating at the restaurant.

Nichole X.

Yelp
This is one of the best pizza place I've been to. Pizza cooks really quickly, and the taste is great! The dough is soft and fluffy, but also crispy on the bottom. Deep fried items are also fantastic. Cheese curds are so good that I didn't have a chance to take a picture before it's all gone. The batter is very thin, so it's a lot of cheese wrapped in crispness. Fries are also good - crispy and with a good thickness. The view from the patio of the lake is definitely a plus.

Lindsay J.

Yelp
Updating for the addition of the arancini and the meatball sub. My son loves the meatballs and the bread. If you please him, you please me! And the arancini is out of this world. Marinara and pesto dipping sauce, Yummo! Oakfire is a LG must. I stand from that the pizzas can be too flimsy for the toppings and sometimes you get a burnt spot, but the marinara is good. Don't sleep on the rest of the menu, that may be where the action is really at!

Annaleah E.

Yelp
Great place for lunch!! The meatballs were great we ordered two of them! The wait staff was very kind & it was up beat the entire time. The drinks were fun and not too loud. Right on the water very beautiful.

Sigmund K.

Yelp
My family and I came here on a Monday afternoon for lunch. It was pretty busy, but we were still able to get a table right away on the upstairs patio which we requested. It was a beautiful day so the patio was perfect and our server was nice and gave us time to look over the menu before we decided on what to get. Music playlist consisted of some 90's alternative rock so I was digging it. My wife got the Classic Bianca, I got the Sausage Pesto, and we ordered the sausage Mickey Mouse Pizza for our toddler. I also ordered a blackberry Oakfire Tito's Mule because the nice day called for a drink in hand! Very tasty. Didn't have to wait too long for the pizzas to come out either. They're about 12-inches which is fine unless you're really hungry or eat lot in general. Pizzas themselves were decent, though as others have stated, the crust and bottom on mine was pretty burnt (not sure if that just comes with the territory of wood-fired pizzas or not). I was able to finish mine and only still feel slightly hungry afterwards, and my wife ate 4/6 slices on hers. Service started off okay but after we got our food, our server checked in on us once and was difficult to find later on when we needed a water refill and more napkins. We were able to find him for the napkins but ended up needing to call over another server to ask for more water. Overall it's great for the views and vibes on a nice day and as long as it's not crazy busy. Pizzas were decent, as long as you don't mind a bit of the burnt taste.

Yelp
I recently had the opportunity to visit Oakfire, a restaurant on the water in Lake Geneva. Unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. Let's start with the positive aspects of Oakfire. The patio area was indeed cool and inviting, and I appreciated the fact that they allowed dogs. It's always nice to find a place where you can enjoy a meal and spend quality time with your furry friend. The atmosphere was pleasant, with a relaxed ambiance. However, when it comes to the main reason for visiting a pizzeria - the pizza itself - Oakfire fell short. I must say that the pizzas I tried were a train wreck. They were incredibly soggy and watery, which completely ruined the texture and overall eating experience. The crust lacked the desirable crispiness as well. It was disappointing to find that the pizza's flavors were bland, lacking the robust and satisfying taste that one would expect from a reputable pizzeria. The lack of seasoning and depth left me unimpressed. Regrettably, my experience at Oakfire was subpar, and I cannot say that I will be returning. While the patio and the dog-friendly policy are commendable, the quality of the pizza itself was a significant letdown.

Yelp
Right in the heart of downtown Lake Geneva. 2 level restaurant with a nice view out to the lake. Kind of tight, so not that great for young kids in a carseat. They do try and accommodate you though. Cheese curds are a must-have, different from all others. Pizza is good, sauce is on the sweater side. Could be cook a bit more because 5 out of 6 pizzas were still very soggy in the middle.

Kaitlynn M.

Yelp
Really enjoyed our experience at Oakfire when we visited in the fall! We were able to snag seats at the bar right away and had a great/attentive server. We ordered a pizza with sausage and vodka sauce on it (I believe, it was a signature on their menu!) and really loved it. The first few bites were amazing and the crust held up well initially given how full of cheese and sauce it was. That being said, it quickly became a bit soggy which then required us to use a fork to eat it. I didn't mind this at all because the flavors were awesome! This is definitely a top restaurant in Lake Geneva and has gorgeous views of the lake. If you're in town, I definitely recommend grabbing a bite here for lunch or dinner!

Connie K.

Yelp
Our family was picking strawberries nearby and decided to make a pitstop at Lake Geneva (because why not?). Oakfire has a great location right by the lake so we had lunch here on a Monday afternoon and it was BUSY. We were able to snag a table on the upstairs patio which overlooked the lake and had great views. I had the classic bianca pizza (romano, basil, shredded mozz, fresh mozz, imported bufala mozz, garlic oil, & honey) while hubby had the sausage pesto pizza (sausage, caramelized onions, basil pesto, mozzarella, pecorino romano). We both enjoyed our respective pizzas. They aren't large enough to share if you're hungry (there's 6 slices and I ate 4/6 slices while hubby ate the entire pizza). Both of them were on the oily side (as expected since they are oil based). The classic bianca pizza seemed a bit undercooked but was still enjoyable.

Crystal M.

Yelp
Everything from tree service to the food was awesome here! I just walked out after dining with my husband and two children. Our service was great. Our waiter/server (Mike may have been his name) was wonderful and made great recommendations. He had a good personality and was very attentive. My sons chicken tenders were good (I'd get them for myself!) and the calamari starter was one of the best I've had. They were accommodating to my bringing in food for my dairy and egg allergic daughter. We ordered the pepperoni pizza as the main dish and wow was it good! We finished with the Nutella calzone and again... awesome! My husband had the hazelnut old fashion and I had three Rossa sangria per the waiters recommendation and they were spot on. Can't wait to come back (we live 45 min away in Illinois and the drive was worth it). I forgot to take pics of the food as we polished everything off quickly but here is the calzone which is def huge!

Taylor D.

Yelp
Loved the flavors and toppings on the pizza, but both pizzas we ordered were soggy and wet in the middle. You pick up a slice and it slumps over. We ordered the portabella and margarita pizza. Drinks were good, but the service was slow. It took over five minutes before a server greeted our table.

Monica F.

Yelp
We came to town and found this wonderful place. The atmosphere is steller, the food is delicious, the drinks quenched our thirst, and our server (Mike) was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. We will most likely be back before we head back home. We have asked many locals where their favorite place to eat is, and Oakfire has been the first place they suggest :)

Irene Kitty L.

Yelp
Girls trip at Lake Geneva and decided to have dinner at Oakfire and boy oh boy was it absolutely delicious!!!!!! First of all, it was BUSY which is a good sign right? This place is right in the downtown area so make sure you pay for parking. We were seated in less than 5 minutes upstairs where you can see the lake. So beautiful! Food was absolutely amazing!!!!! We ordered the Sangria, fried calamari appetizer, caprese salad and portabella mushroom pizza. It was phenomenal! Especially the pizza! The 3 of us shared and it was just enough. Absolutely perfect dinner. If I'm ever in the area, this is the place to come back just for the pizza alone!

Bonnie K.

Yelp
Really good wood fired pizza. Fresh ingredients. Crust was a bit soggy but tasty. Service was good. Kind of loud if you're with a group. No "to go" cups for beverages.

Rebekah S.

Yelp
Usually I'm suspect of the big, well known place on the main drag but Oakfire was great. Prompt seating and service, excellent pizza and drinks! Solid option anytime you're in Lake Geneva. I went with the Classic Bianca and almost couldn't stop eating it. My husband got the Caesar salad (excellent) and meatball app (okay). He loved his Hazelnut Old Fashioned and I loved my local beer with pizza!

Patricia G.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. Meatball sandwich was excellent; cheese curds are a cut above any others I've had. The coating is very light, but crisp. Service is excellent.

Jim G.

Yelp
Maybe the best pizza in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. The pizza (or apizza since it is Neapolitan style pies) come in many iterations from traditional, classic and other more modern combinations. The white pie with honey is interesting. Appears that they give extra care to details in making each pie special. The pies are individual size, so don't hesitate to order a variety for the table. You may want to ask for the pie well done because some of our crust was a little soft/soggy. I prefer a crispy crust almost like a thin cracker. Our order consisted of Bosco Pizza w/Giardeniera, Classic Blanca, Pepperoni, Sausage Pesto and of course I had to be different by ordering the Chicken Parm and pasta dish. Not that I'm a New York pizza snob, but why risk it when I could just sample a slice from our friends. The Oakfire Cabernet is a nice bottle of wine that pairs well with the pies and is not over-priced. Paige G was a very nice server. The restaurant gets busy early in the evening even in the winter, so reservations would be helpful or if you know the manager they will seat you immediately. We sat upstairs which was less hectic than the ground floor. Buon appetito!

BA M.

Yelp
Great pizza, staff, ambience not to mention the view of the lake! Consistent food as well!

Jose B.

Yelp
Great spot to check out if interested in getting some local pizza. Cheese curds are a must! The pizza was ok, the sausage was on the drier side. The old fashioned was an interesting drink. Service was excellent and very welcoming.

Sema T.

Yelp
You HAVE to have the cheese curds. That would be review enough - go there, order cheese curds and a house margarita, and be happy. But the atmosphere is also worth highlighting - they have a lot of seating despite being busy, a great view of the lake, and (at least when I was there) a wonderfully nostalgic 90s mix on the speaker. The one downside is that they aren't overly attentive, so I sat waiting for some help for a bit. While this is the case most places these days because of staff shortages, when I was at Oakfire, there were plenty of folks, just no one really paying attention. I chalk this up to the lull between rushes, but it did knock the rating down a bit. They do not take reservations, but I was in between the lunch and dinner hours and had no trouble getting a table for 4. I can't wait to go back and try more of the food!

Jaime T.

Yelp
I came in expecting a great pizza. It was far from it. Soft and soggy with not much cheese or flavor. At least it was small and expensive. Others on the table had sandwiches with salad. They were happy. What a disappointment.

Natalie A.

Yelp
Great indoor rooftop seating with a pretty view! Came in here to celebrate with some friends on a warm beautiful day in October. We sat upstairs and had a beautiful view of the lake. The food was good, although just a little pricey. Same for the drinks. But all good and made of good quality ingredients. The servers were nice and attentive also! If you're in the Lake Geneva area and looking for dining with a good view, give Oakfire a try! Enjoy!

Steve G.

Yelp
Except for the stairs, this is a good place for good pizza. Heavy on the tourist trade - it's right on the lakeshore - in its quieter moments we love be here when the sun goes down. It's apparently brick oven pizza (looks like it at least - I have not seen the oven), so there's some variance in doneness. We like to ask for ours to be well-done. Cheese curds are good, too!

Margo M.

Yelp
This place is okay. It's commendable that they offer a vegan pizza option (though vegan cheese would be a plus), the view is great, and the overall experience is pleasant. On the positive side, the decor is modern, the place seems clean, and the service is nice.

Sally T.

Yelp
Great pizza and fabulous views of the lake! We were seated right away and the staff was very friendly. We enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend!

Tory S.

Yelp
Please learn how to actually make a pizza. Ingredients should be like a wreath not piled in the center creating a sloppy gooey dough mess. The center is always cold, no Ingredients or sauce near the crust just 3 inches of burnt crust. This place is always dirty, did you even wipe the tables or sweep or mop. Bathrooms always nasty and smelly. So much potential but they just suck. Try somewhere else.

Joan H.

Yelp
Nice place by the lake. Knowing the authentic Italian pizza pretty well, I must say that the pizza here is not bad at all. The taste and the crust are really good. I would definitely come back when in town. I wasn't impressed at all with the calamari. I think they are overpriced. As you can see they don't serve a lot, they were too "gummy" and I didn't find them tasty at all. For those $19, I would have had another pizza or another appetizer. The ambiance is good, and the view of the lake is very pretty, specially during sunset. The waiter was very attentive. Again, a very good place to have a bite

Agnes S.

Yelp
The service is hit or miss. Out waitress was very friendly and upbeat, but the host was somewhat rude and haughty, an attitude that doesn't make a ton of sense for a pizza place. He made a very big deal to us out of space availability outdoors, and then missed seating us in the correct outdoor space at all, which was frustrating. The pizza is generally good but not the best we've had by any stretch (we ordered the Diavola, which is our go-to in the Minocqua location). We did like the view and the outdoor seating area, and we enjoyed the cheese sticks as a starter. The fried ravioli is just okay - missing salt and flavor. We'd come back for the ambiance (minus the rude host).

Julie Y.

Yelp
Great pizza and beautiful view! Our server was pretty slow and a little clueless but the pizza made up for it!

Michele S.

Yelp
We had a group of 5. Food and drinks were served promptly, no complaint there. The classic Bianca was absolutely dripping with olive oil and had to be mopped before eaten. I ordered chicken parm pasta. So a piece of chicken breast fried to soggy and thrown on some pasta. I believe I paid 22.00. Egregious waste of money. Completely not surprised as I'm sure they don't have to try too hard as they have a gorgeous lake view. However. Shame on you!

H S.

Yelp
Excellent pizza snd good service with a great view if Lake Geneva. I ordered the pepperoni pizza with honey, totally recommend it.

Samantha B.

Yelp
Super cute restaurant on the water. I didn't get acknowledged for a few minutes when I walked in. The curds were okay - a little mushy in the middle. They're known for their pizza which I didn't get so maybe a higher review for that.

Mark M.

Yelp
Very nice and casual place for lunch. The food is good-- the pizza and meatballs shine. We have liked our servers and the warm friendly atmosphere. Nice location on the lake in a busy spot.

Meg H.

Yelp
Oakfire is worth. The. Wait. And there usually is a wait, as this restaurant does not accept reservations or call aheads. But it is worth it for the food, location and views. Located directly across from the lake, our large party was seated upstairs on the rooftop. With the bubble lights hanging, lake in front of us and moon above, the setting was perfect! And the food?! Our group had the cheese curds, meatballs and burrata to start--and all were delicious. The curds are served with marinara--a different and interesting touch but it worked. With a group of 8, we all ordered individual pizzas, with the standout winner of the night being the zucchini pizza! Zucchini on a pizza? Who knew it would be so incredible!

Arryn G.

Yelp
We had delicious food and a great view of the lake. The capris sandwich was very tasty as were the French fries.

Jenni R.

Yelp
I really do love the food here as I've been here many times; however, my last 2 attempts have been disappointing. I had contacted them to make reservations for a party of 10 - called a month ahead of time - and was told NO they will not accept reservations. I called Tuscan (a couple blocks away) and they took reservations! Yay! This past weekend, we wanted to do a carry out for lunch and again the answer was NO. So Potbelly got our business instead. Hopefully, this will all change soon so I can go again!

Lisa S.

Yelp
This is one of the nicer restaurants in Lake Geneva and it's located right on the lake which makes for some really nice views! It can get super crowded here on the weekends, so expect a bit of a wait if you want a table. We usually sit up on the second floor at the bar, which never seems to have a wait. The service is phenomenal and the drinks are well priced. The only complaint I have is that the pizza is very oily. It's cool to watch them cook it in the giant oven but they could use about half the oil with the same result. Overall though, Oakfire is definitely worth the price and the wait!

Jo S.

Yelp
Local joint with good food and enjoy the drinks. During high season there were limited or no takeouts. This may have changed but an easy go to here in Lake Geneva.

Heena J.

Yelp
Visited Oakfire while we were passing through Lake Geneva. We sat upstairs at the bar and the view is phenomenal. I got a Caesar salad and the white pizza - Both were phenomenal! I also got a spicy Bloody Mary which was so good. I usually don't like Bloody Marys but Joey (the bartender) make it just right. Can't wait to come back if I'm ever back in the area.
