My 3-generation large family flew from around the US to visit family in nearby Alameda for the holidays, and had a great stay.||We had heard about the hotel’s recent ownership issues, but believed it would give the hotel extra incentive to provide guests a great stay - which it seems to have done. ||Guest services kindly emailed me 4 days before, with a request reply email, which I greatly appreciated.||As a Titanium, with another Titanium family member, I emailed requests for upgrades to bay view and connecting rooms.||Kimberly was great, and emailed me back twice within an hour, that she had upgraded all 3 rooms, and we were delighted to have the top (21st floor), with connecting and adjoining rooms.||Our room views over the bay, Oakland, and the Bay Bridge and SF skyline in the distance, were great.||Our rooms were very clean, well-furnished and very well-maintained, and comfortable. I heard they were renovated just a few years ago. The only issue was that the beds were a bit soft for us.||All the staff were really great.||The large M Club lounge, on the 2nd floor, had a nice breakfast, with a lot of fresh-cut fruits, eggs, potatoes, sausage, bacon, and pancakes. The evening hors d’oeuvres (Mo - Fr, from 5:30 to 7:30) had 2 hot and several cold dishes, and was a nice light meal. The dessert afterwards (from 7:30 to 9) had 2 dishes.||Self-parking in the hotel’s connected garage was $51/day, but very convenient for multiple in/outs every day (valet is $66/day).
