One and done. The food was delivered quickly and warm. I appreciated that they took a photo of my order upon pick-up and that they took the time to seal the bag. Wing s were not vented and ended up a bit soggy. I received 5 1/2 wings. Would have preferred a full six as I ordered. Tacos were disappointing - meat lacked flavor and there wasn't a clear place to order consome for dipping. I was hoping for better.

I initially ordered a carne asada taco along with a birria taco. It was SO good that I went ahead and ordered two more tacos to-go! Nice chill spot to enjoy tacos that aren't greasy or doused in lard 🙂

Google
I ordered the vegan impossible lumpias, quesa impossible, and the brussel sprouts. Everything was good, but a tad greasy for my liking. The brussel sprouts were very overdone, almost burnt. I kinda wish they offered vegan options for the garden salad, too. Overall, I liked the food, and I'll probably be back to try the other dishes.

Our first time at the spot was severely disappointing. At a grab and go spot, we usually tip after finishing our food. Obviously, the cashier wouldn’t know that but regardless, we were caught off guard by the cashier. The cashier was absent from the register for quite some time. As he returned, there were 8 people behind us. After finishing up our order, we sat down. As we sat down, the cashier announced that it’ll take 20 minutes for our food to be ready since we did not leave a tip. Ignoring the next customer, it was like an announcement to everyone behind us even though we already had sat down. Once our food arrived, we couldn’t finish the food. We left our food. It wasn’t a welcoming atmosphere. - Update - I do appreciate Kara reaching out to me with their sincerity and customer service. Despite our experience, we’d like to try the restaurant again. It is a mom and pop business and these establishments are important for our community. Thank you, Kara.

Despite a tsunami warning, I came on 12/5/24 for an early lunch. I ordered a side order of classic lumpia & kimchi fried rice. The lumpia was fresh & the fried rice was not too spicy.

Google
Great menu options, really enjoyed the birria quesataco and the vegan lumpias. Recommend doing 2x quesatacos. Nice vibe inside too and beer served

My husband really enjoys the tacos here. I myself always get the tots. The atmosphere is hip and they have some outdoor seating which is nice as well. Service is friendly and it is average priced for Oakland. All in all, it is a solid go to whether you want tacos or lumpia, you can't go wrong.

Google
Impeccable service and friendly staff make this hidden gem a delightful experience. The place is very small, so large parties are difficult to accommodate comfortably. There is a variety of food options for all to enjoy. This place is a great place to enjoy for any Oakland locals and visitors to satisfy their appetites.

Yelp
Osf Has The Most Amazing Staff And Their Birria Tacos Are The ambiance is Very Pleasant. There Is The Once That I Really Enjoy. I Can Do the thing I Love With this Place is Nice to Be Around.

Yelp
Great spot for lunch. They were busy but the food came out quickly. Tried the impossible lumpia, nacho fries with chicken and a Baja shrimp taco. All the food was delicious and flavorful. There's metered street parking in the area, you may have more luck on smaller side streets, also saw some parking garages in the area.

Bryan O.

Yelp
This place has a nice atmosphere, with a casual feel and substantial tables (including some interesting marine hardware as decorations) with bar stool seating. The service is fine for a casual spot, typical walk-up to order and then get your name called. Good selection of beers and other booze. I wasn't at all impressed by the food: the crab fried rice was totally lacking in flavor, as were the crispy tacos. They do offer tiny packets of hot sauce, and I had to put six packets on my food to give it enough flavor to be worth eating. The crab fried rice serving was also small. Overall, if you don't mind flavorless food, this place is not bad, but I won't be back.

Yelp
I ordered three pork tacos from Oakland Street Food through DoorDash, and I'm extremely disappointed. Right after placing my order, I called the restaurant to request no onions and cilantro on my tacos. A woman answered and assured me she would inform the cook. This was before my order had even been prepared. Unfortunately, when my order arrived, all three tacos were loaded with onions and cilantro. Now I have to throw them away because they're completely inedible to me. This was such a waste of money and incredibly frustrating. What's the point of me calling ahead if my request is going to be ignored? I had high hopes, but this experience was a huge letdown.

KJ E.

Yelp
Overall, Oakland Street Co. was a solid lunch option, just a hop skip and a jump away from hotels around downtown Oakland. Ordered some asada quesabirria tacos and a fish taco, as well as the loaded tater tots. Not sure if I would order that battered fish taco again, not sure if it could've been better more fried? It was definitely a lighter brown... The asada was the best one. Tots were hella filling. Didn't finish it up. Location is convenient, large sharing tables, heart of downtown. Would I come again? Probably for a quick meal!

Yelp
Ok, i'm fat. I ended up here THREE DAYS (count 'em) -- THREE -- days in a row to chow down on their delicious food. I was too in my plates to take too many flicks, but that just means I have to stuff my face here one'moe'gin. I was able to try their quesotacos (pollo/carnitas); their chicken wings (garlic/buffalo)-- their buffalo was my favorite-- & I had their tatchos (tatter-tot nachos)... soooo good. The service was awesome! I think by the 3rd time they started to recognize me, lol! The actual ambiance/interior was super laid back, but pretty cold each time I went since the door was open. Also the entire spot is pretty small so I ended up sharing a table with folks I did not know each time. Overall, I had a delicious experience & def can't wait to circle back the next time I find myself in The Town (and will take more pictures next time)!

Yelp
This is a goto place for uncomplicated good eats. I have a few places downtown that are always good on the taste buds when all else fails, and this is one of them. Many of my favorite spots have closed or changed business hours so I can't frequent them these days. I came across this place a few months back and they haven't failed me so far. Formerly CamBurger it's under new ownership, with new food and a cool new interior. My favorite item on the menu is the Baja fish tacos (love them!), I've also had the chicken wings, shrimp over rice & the Garlic noble shrimp which are all great. That staff is pretty cool & fully friend which goes a long way in Oakland or anywhere. The interior is clean, well decorated and has a plush plant vibe going on. Cheers!

I understand the American tipping culture as we always tip but a cashier begging for tip in this way makes me question the wages offered to the employees by the establishment. I wouldn't recommend this place, or return.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I live super close to this restaurant and on a whim decided to try it one day. We are so glad we did as the food here is so good! We tried the brussels sprouts, gumbo and the teriyaki chicken with garlic noodles. Everything was delicious. My favorite items were the brussels sprouts and the garlic noodles. We are definitely going back! The restaurant is a quick walk from the BART station and was a very easy place for take out.

Karishma P.

Yelp
Food was delicious and a cool blend of menu items with Mexican and Asian inspired dishes. The impossible lumpia were crispy and delicious. Wish the garlic noodles had more of a garlicky taste or sauce. The totchos were good and had a good orange side sauce. Inside could have more chairs than stools. Definitely a good place to come with a group or take to go. Service was quick and fast.

Quang B.

Yelp
So many choices. I love it! The food arrived when we doordashed. Had to order it so fast because they closed midday. The choices are variable: from gumbo, to noodles, to tacos. Yum!

Natasha F.

Yelp
Yum! The only thing better than the food is the vibe. Loved the queso tacos, lumpia and tots! The beer is cold and the service is friendly. Music is fun and the tables are spacious, clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend for groups or solo stop by. Would be perfect for a sofar sounds gig too!

Loriell L.

Yelp
Food was so fresh that day the only thing i thought was dry was the tacos but everything else was so yummy I'm definitely going to be back! It was pretty empty when I went in but it started to pick up after. Very chill vibe.

Ray'Von J.

Yelp
Love love love this place. They've catered multiple of my work events and it's always a huge hit. The staff is extremely kind, thoughtful, and professional. And the food itself?!! AMAZING. Love their lumpia and crab fried rice. The garlic noodles are my favorite. I also recommend dining in - it's a great vibe.

Kahlil G.

Yelp
this food fire and for a good ahh price. tap in with this restaurant and u won't regret it. hella cool vibe and good service.

Giovanna R.

Yelp
Good food! Many options, and it's close to Bart! I'd come back simply because it's close to home and Bart if I was to move. They have many different food options from quesabirrias, to loaded fries, to garlic noodles. Decent ambiance, and friendly people/staff!

Blu M.

Yelp
Oakland Street Food Co is a good spot for when you're not sure what you want to eat. The menu has a lot of variety so there's options for everyone! Stopped here before a concert and got a few tacos and an order of wings. The guy who helped us was really nice and patient when I was making my choices. The decor inside is not what you expect when you hear street food but it's pretty lol. Got quesabiria and quesa-asada tacos, both pretty good! The birria was flavorful, the carne asada was a little dry but good flavor. Salsa definitely helped. The wings were ok, we thought they could be fried a little better and we didn't like the sauce that went with them. Still good flavor on their own though. We combined the salsa with the wings and that saved them for sure! The food took about 15 minutes to get done, so not too long. Stop by, I don't think you'll regret the visit!

Eddie H.

Yelp
Not gonna front I forgot exactly what I got. Not cuz it was trash but just cuz it's been awhile since I been here and I'm just getting to this review. The food was good and I like the vibe here.

T K.

Yelp
Great food in a casual atmosphere. Staff was great and great options for a late dinner

Marc R.

Yelp
Loved the tatchos which is nachos with tater tots. The combination of crispy tater tots and gooey cheese on top was absolutely delicious. I couldn't get enough of the savory flavors melding together in each bite. The jalapenos added a nice kick of heat to the dish, balancing out the richness of the cheese and tater tots. Overall, tatchos are now my new favorite snack to indulge in.

Lea S.

Yelp
Finally tried this place after it had been on my list for ages. My husband and I got a smattering of things to-go on a Monday night. The inside is well designed and modern and I'm sure would be fun vibes if we had been eating there on a weekend though it was fairly quiet on a Monday night. This place is perfect for that craveable, as my husband and I call it, "fat snacks". We got the shrimp garlic noodles, carne asada totchos (tots-nachos), quesabirria with consume, and buffalo wings. The garlic noodles with garlic shrimp was our favorite, super delicious, garlicky and well seasoned, highly recommend getting the noodles with the shrimp as they are a perfect complement. The totchos were good, as one would expect from loaded fries/tots, salty, creamy and perfectly savory. Maybe because it was take-out but the tots could have been crispier. The buffalo wings were also tasty, pretty basic flavorful Buffalo wings, but again could have been crispier. The quesabirria unfortunately was a bit of a disappointment. Usually I expect quesabirria to have dipped tortilla, and crispy cheesy edges which unfortunately this did not have. You also have to pay extra for the consume which seems like a bummer since the consume is pretty necessary for a good quesabirria! I'd definitely get the food again just not the quesabirria.

Dianna H.

Yelp
Bomb garlic noodles! That's all I have to say. I stopped by here for Friday dinner with a friend around 6 pm. There were a lot of people inside when we first got there, but I think they were all waiting for their takeout orders, as it emptied out pretty quickly. In addition to the inside seating, which is all counter or at shared high top table, there's outdoor seating as well. The menu is pretty eclectic. It's got food from everywhere, like wings, tacos, nachos and totchos, gumbo, and garlic shrimp. I've never seen such a random assortment of items on a menu before. My friend tried the quesa impossible ($4.75) and the grilled chicken with garlic noodles ($14). I had the Hawaiian garlic shrimp with garlic noodles ($18.50). We also shared totchos ($8.50). The bowl of garlic shrimp didn't look that big, but I was pretty full after finishing it, as there was a LOT of butter. I got 8 shrimp in my order, which was almost enough to eat with all the noodles. The shrimp was really good, but the garlic noodles was really where this dish shone. It was the most garlicky garlic noodles I've ever had, definitely recommend it for all garlic fans!! I had garlic on my breath for the rest of the evening afterwards. I think the noodles might've been made too. Definitely had a nice chew to them. My friend didn't really like his quesa impossible taco, and the grilled chicken was bland and a bit on the dry side.

Dezz G.

Yelp
Just delicious fr. Everything I've ever ordered was top tier. Could eat here everyday. And have before lol

Thomas J.

Yelp
Food was great! Customer service was great. I got a free tea. Garlic wings ,rice and noodles was all good!

Maria W.

Yelp
This place is absolutely FANTASTIC! The staff was incredible, the food is easily ordered and quickly brought out, and the meal itself was spectacular. It's a fun little place to bring a group of family or friends to for drinks and delicious food, with both indoor and outdoor (little tables on the street; beautiful around sunset) seating available. Good vibes. Definitely coming back next time I'm in the area. Special shout-out to the quesobirria tacos with consume, so good!!! I suppose you can't go too wrong with cheese + meat in a taco shell but these were just so fire. Yum!

Kat N.

Yelp
First time here. You go up to the cashier and place your order. It's bar/communal seating inside and tables outside. It was just kind of uncomfortable inside because the stools are close together and other people inside were very loud. Food was cooked to order and everything came out hot. Kids had garlic shrimp with rice or garlic noodles. Flavor was very good (too much garlic for my kids) Lumpia (not pictured) was crispy and tasty. Small portion though. Baja shrimp taco and fish taco (not pictured) were delicious. Quesadilla birria taco was also good but it doesn't come with consommé which was disappointing.

Sammy T.

Yelp
I was looking forward to this place because of the recent reviews but can't completely say i agreed with other people's experiences here. We did a group order and ordered the below: 1. Quesabirrias - probably the best thing we got. They weren't crispy though by the time we ate them (we ordered take out and had it at home - 5 min walking distance) Note: make sure you order their consomme dip. Personally, 1 cup can probably be used for 5+ quesabirrias 2. Garlic Noodles - my friend had this and he didn't think much of it. The noodles were also thicker than normal garlic noodles 3. Sausage and Shrimp Gumbo Bowl - generous portion. Another friend had this and only thought it was okay. 4. Baja Fish Taco - standard with good portion of fish in it 5. Baja Shrimp Taco - standard with good flavors 6. Asada Fries - these were quite good. Still crispy. I just wish they had a bit more carne asada 7. Garlic wings - decent, nothing to write home about Overall, if I was to come back, I would probably stick with the tacos but I don't think I'd be craving this one any time soon given there are so many other taco shops around oakland!

Vanessa T.

Yelp
Ordered via door dash. Food was decent but portion size was small. I ordered 3 quesabirria and banana pudding. The dipping sauce had to pour on instead of dip since cups so small. See size of pudding next to coke can. Good flavors though.

Derrion W.

Yelp
A bit expensive but you get what you pay for! 9/10 food, 10/10 environmental. This is my 5th visit and it's been clean, not a long wait, and the food taste better each time! Come visit while you're in downtown Oakland if you're looking for a quick bite to eat!

Chanel D.

Yelp
Someone was telling me about this food. Hyping it up so bad that we waited a few hours for them to open. I placed the order for pickup through yelp. I didn't get any notification it was actually done. I got there quickly it was already ready, but it was cold so it took away from my experience. I ordered collectively the shrimp & rice bowl for someone else. It looked and smelled good and i tried one of the shrimps. Very good. Got the steak taco with sour cream (even cold i tore it up it was good) The fish taco was good but wasn't the best. It didn't have an option for my to add any cheese or sour cream. I probably wouldn't order the fish taco again unless I'm sitting down in the restaurant. Lastly we got the garlic noodles. It's advertised to have shrimp on top but the title does not say garlic shrimp noodles so i wasn't thrown off when it wasn't on there. I was thrown off by the taste. I took one bite hated it, then i got home and heated it up on the stove in more butter and some garlic spread super unhealthy but it made it so much better also it being warm. I would absolutely try this place again!! But never order those garlic noodles.

Avneet P.

Yelp
Ordered online to pick up. Was in the mood for something unhealthy but good and this place was highly rated so I tried it out and I'm glad I did! I don't know if it was because I was so hungry, but the food was amazing!! The taco hit the spot and the grilled chicken nacho fries were crunchy and flavorful! If I were to dock points it would be charging $9 for a tiny canned margarita. I really thought I was going to get a house made margarita. The can was tiny and so expensive for no reason. Wouldn't get the marg again but would go back for food

Jessica K.

Yelp
I would suggest ordering ahead, unless you have a lot of time to spare. It took about 40 minutes to get our food. It's Thursday. I can't even imagine what the wait time is on the weekends. I got the food home, the tortilla from my fish taco fell apart immediately. Flavors are great, was just incapable of picking it up like an actual taco. Flavors of the birria tacos were good, and the garlic shrimp and rice were good. The shortcake on the strawberry shortcake was kinda dry, and I kinda expected fresh strawberries from an establishment like this. It looked like fresh whipped cream. Overall, a decent experience.

Nancy W.

Yelp
Best garlic noodles and shrimp Anywhere!! Service is quick and friendly Recommend the lumpia as well and don't forget to have one of their specialty drinks

Dee W.

Yelp
1st the service was fantastic!!!! The young man !! Yeah you lol !!! Was great , he was very polite kind and down to earth !!!!! The food ... well it was delicious!!! The place has the game on !!! Play offs !! Which was nice !!!! Love the way the place is as set up .. out side was nice also to eat if you wants to !! Very Clean and I will definitely be back

Rachel D.

Yelp
Totchos-5/5 Gumbo-5/5 Lemon pepper wings-5/5 Lumpia (vegan)-5/5 Super great street food! They have a lil mix of everything. The tots in the totchos were crispy and fresh. Not soggy and didn't taste like old oil. That's a Plus for me. Gumbo was fresh. Shrimp were plump and not over cooked. Chunky sausage and chicken both flavorful and the broth was excellent. The wings were ordered as garlic wings but came with a salt and pepper and lime squeeze which blew them off the top. That have that extra pizzazz to them. They were crispy and delicious. Again fresh oil and not used oil taste. The lumpia is an every time snack order for me. They're just so good

Lea T.

Yelp
New to town. We order $100+ worth of food about 4 times now and each time we were pleased with the service and the food. Asada Tacos 10/10 make sure to get the street sauce and lime Chicken tacos were okay 7/10 Nacho fries 10/10 only 1 out of the 4x's were my fries kinda cold. Asada Nacho Fries 10/10

MrsFarr G.

Yelp
Late lunch time service on a Monday was decent. It was easy to order online and request delivery to my office via Yelp. The delivery person left my food on the ground outside the office door. That wasn't cool so I'll be sure to double check my delivery instructions moving forward. The food was delicious. I had the shrimp tacos and impossible lumpia. My tummy was happy. I'll be back to order again.

Nicole C.

Yelp
I ordered the Quesabirria tacos, the meat was good and they were well cooked but not amazing. The consommme was almost flavorless. I'd only return to try the garlic wings but there is literally no parking by there so order for a fast pick up.

Kate R.

Yelp
Look, I grew up in Ohio where even fancy restaurants serve tater tots, so this was not my first fried potato rodeo. I am a learned connoisseur of fair food and nasty, greasy piles of nacho cheese and ketchup. If you are looking to recover from a painful life experience by ingesting delicious salt, fat, and sugar then you cannot find a better place in the Bay Area to do it. They have legit nacho cheese here- the kind that never goes back to solid cheese no matter what the temperature. The tots and fries are crisp yet succulent. They are well seasoned and plentiful. Sometimes we all just have that yearning to be dunked in fry oil! To submit completely to the beast within- to finally throw caution to the wind and embrace the flavors of comfort! THE FLAVORS OF DANGER! We need to feel good! NOW! WHO CARES ABOUT THE FUTURE?! CIVILIZATION IS COLLAPSING! Plus you can get a nice little Topo Chico or whatever soda you're into- they have a wide selection. I also have to say that all the workers here have been nothing but perfect to me every time I come in. Friendly, professional, and glorious. Smiles for miles, as my friend Conrad says. I recommend the impossible totchos- I was afraid the fake meat was going to overwhelm the nacho cheese but sure enough it did not.

Miya J.

Yelp
I ordered birra taco with consume, asada taco and me Cesar salad through Doordash. Tacos needed seasoning salad was ok.

Kevin S.

Yelp
*We DoorDashed their food to our hotel. So this review pertains solely to the quality of the food. We ordered six Quesabirria's and a few cups of their consomme dip. In short, the tacos were superb. The meat was tender and full of flavor. The taco shells themselves were perfectly crisp, despite being delivered. Everything was still hot and fresh as well. My only criticism would be the consomme. The consomme itself was fine, but the containers they came in were not appropriate for delivery. When we received our bag, one of the containers had spilled and completely soaked the bottom of the bag, leaving us with a mess and less than a third of consomme in that one. All in all, we would definitely eat their food again but next time, we would likely skip delivery and just go to the location to avoid a mess.

Sabeena B.

Yelp
This is definitely a hidden gem in Oakland! It's a small spot then never has any lines. The customer service is always great and the vibes at night are amazing. I always get the impossible quesabirra tacos and they are like heaven. They are unbelievably good and savory. I can't get enough of the sauce that comes with it and always need to get an extra one. 11/10 will always recommend this place for a great bite to eat.

Malikah M.

Yelp
GARLIC SHRIMP NOODLES! Let's start this review with how deliciously amazing the garlic shrimp noodles were. Best thing I've eaten since arriving in San Francisco. It's worth the scenic drive to get to Oakland for this quick restaurant. The theme is street food in a quick restaurant dining atmosphere. We tried several things on the menu and everything was great! They offer adults drinks and my margarita paired perfectly with my tacos. The portions are perfect and the price is right. I would eat at this place daily if I lived closer. Everything from salad to taco tots. You will find something on the menu for everyone.

Black J.

Yelp
I had my food DoorDash and when it arrived it was missing my wings although my wing order was refunded when I called them they didn't offer me any apologies or try to assuage my loss I don't know if I'll be back the food was good though I will say that.

Yoon C.

Yelp
Highly Recommend! I've ordered from this place a few times using a delivery service. I'm surprised they have been consistent with the food quality even when ordered through a delivery. I mostly order tacos and fries and they are tasty. I would ask them for extra lemons or have them handy for QuesaBirria. Also, ask for extra sauce!

Candice T.

Yelp
I came to this restaurant for dinner with my boyfriend. I ordered the brussels sprouts, which were good. I also ordered the Tacho's, I was underwhelmed by the cheese. My boyfriend said the lumpias were fire. The case so taco was also very good. I feel like this place would be a very tasty at the end of a long drunken night.

Nuhamin T.

Yelp
The delivery was just okay for me. It felt like they poured an excessive amount of salt on all the dishes, which was a bit overwhelming. However, the garlic noodles stood out as the best part of the meal. Unfortunately, I wasn't a fan of the tater tot nachos; I've had better elsewhere, and they were also overly salty.

DeShar C.

Yelp
I saw the garlic noodles on other reviews and they didn't live up to the hype. They had WAY TOO MUCH garlic. The dish is called Hawaiian shrimp and you can get it with noodles. It had so much diced garlic, it's on my breath days later! The taco though was A1!! If you're not sure what to get, the Quesataco is a MUST! Service was great and the inside was a vibe.

TIm H.

Yelp
Very good food. I enjoyed the tacos. I will come here again. The people who work here are super cool too!
