The taste of craft beer IPA is a matter of personal preference, so I don't think it's appropriate to review the beer taste, but overall I taste mild and mild. I prefer an IPA that is a bit harsher and leaves a lingering aftertaste, but the atmosphere is nice and there are food trucks such as Thai, Indian Fusion, Burger etc in the parking lot, so you can choose your food and enjoy it at an outdoor table with your drink. It would have been better if it was on the lawn like Bend brewing company, but the Shade is a great place for a meal and a beer. Because of the food trucks, the parking space is limited, so you have to park on the street.

Great service with great beer. IPA's (clear & hazy), multiple types of delicious sours, lager, amber, and dark beers! Food carts on site.

Ok, as I usually tell people up front, I am notoriously tough on fast food joints. What I seldom get to say is Im even tougher on breweries, beer pubs, etc. I'm not a big consumer of beer and am very picky. That being said...Oakshire Brewing, you can relax and enjoy!! Tough thing to say when reviewing a brewery but I only like Porters & Stouts unless I need something else for cooking... and even then I can be too picky for my own good. I have tried many over the years and recently found Oakshires Overcast Espresso Stout is an outstanding Stout! Rich, full of flavor and a perfect beer to sit by a fireplace or campfire and let the day be no more. The flavor is smoother than many other Stouts and not harsh like some. Well done!!

Holy cow. This place has incredible beer. I have had many of America's sought-after high-caliber beers: Russian River, Three Floyds, The Alchemist, Stone---the list goes on, and Oakshire can hang with the best of them. And there was no long line to get in! I tried everything, and every single beer I had was great for its type of beer. Best of the best were the barleywine and Hellshire VI, the single best bourbon barrel aged stout I've ever had

The new tasting room is awesome; I've filled my corny keg here for years, but only recently has it become a "desination" that outstrips its keg-filling utility. It has a nice industrial vibe to it, and they have excellent, often innovative beers on tap that range beyond the ordinary run you'd find at restaurants in town. Kudos to Oakshire, especially, for experimenting with Belgian styles--too many breweries in Eugene, and Oregon generally, get stuck in IPA-mode. Oakshire has some authentically interesting beers, second only to Gilgamesh perhaps in their inventiveness.

Oakshire brewing is a very down to earth brewery that makes the best craft beer that I have had in Oregon, and for anyone that has had Oregon beer that is saying something. Their tap room is complemented by local "slow food" carts that specialize in local good eats. They are willing to give tours and talk for hours about their brewing process. Matt Van Wyk, their brewmaster, is an award winning brewer. Next to the brewery is the oakshire farm where the employees raise chickens and grow vegetables. If your in Eugene this is the brewer to go to!

Walked in, asked for a sampler platter. Went outside to smoke, came back and waited for 20 min. The bar tender acted as if she never even took our oder and said, oh you just disappeared. Then wanted to cut me off as if I had drunken too much. Then when leaving saw her and her co worker were laughing and looking at me. Worst brewery experience on our road trip which consisted of 25 other breweries along the way.

OMG, the Overcast Espresso Stout is just so flipping yummy!! Of course their other beers are good too but I love coffee and good beer. Combined is just too exciting and Jeff does it right!
