We recently visited Oakdale restaurant in Big Bear, and it was absolutely amazing! From the very first minute, you feel a warm and welcoming atmosphere — a stylish interior, pleasant music, and a true sense that the staff genuinely care about every guest. The food deserves special praise. Every dish was delicious and exquisite: fresh ingredients, perfect flavor combinations, and beautiful presentation. Each plate felt like a small culinary masterpiece. You can really tell the kitchen operates at the highest level. The service was outstanding. The staff were incredibly attentive, polite, and friendly, always ready to help and make recommendations. They truly made our evening comfortable and enjoyable. Overall, everything was simply wonderful — the atmosphere, the cuisine, and the service all came together for a perfect dining experience. Oakdale is a place you’ll want to come back to again and again, and one we can confidently recommend to anyone visiting Big Bear. Definitely a five-star experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Oakside is a fantastic dining spot in Big Bear Lake Village, and Ray and I absolutely loved our experience. We sat upstairs on the second floor, which offers a quieter, more adult-friendly atmosphere. It was calm, relaxed, and perfect for enjoying a nice dinner without the noise of large groups or kids. Ray had the Ahi Tuna Steak, which was phenomenal, along with Brussels sprouts and corn — all incredibly tasty and well prepared. I ordered the Black & Blue Burger with sweet potato fries, and it was amazing. The portion was huge — I could only eat half — and everything was cooked perfectly. We sat in the bar area, and our server Kayla was excellent. She was also bartending and made Ray a great dirty martini. I tried a double IPA, which was new to me and very good. Kayla was warm, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure we enjoyed everything — exactly the kind of service that makes people want to return. Oakside is easy to overlook when you first arrive in the village, but now that we’ve found it, it will definitely be our staple spot every time we’re in Big Bear. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five stars all the way — highly recommend.

Food is really good, needs a little salt in my opinion like the mashed potatoes and the Mac and cheese but there's some on the table Service is okay but then again they are really busy Food was served pretty quick though so that's a plus It's right in the village so it's a nice view Steak is flavored perfectly! So good!

This is a great little spot to get a food and some really good drinks. They got a great selection of liquor and custom drinks. Great menu. All the food was great, we had we sat upstairs in the bar with a great view. The bartender was great and we had a really good time, really worth the stop.

We stopped here during a trip to Big Bear, and we were glad we did! We were a party of five and were prepared to have to wait for a table. The hostess let us know that the bar area was open seating but with a full menu. We found a table in no time! The service was good and the food was yummy. There is definitely something for everyone on the menu. Give Oakside a try!

Really nice location. We ate outside and it was great. The food is elevated. My prickly pear margarita was on point. Draft beers were cold. Fish and chips was light and crispy. Mac and cheese is adult Mac and cheese. Kids expected Kraft. The adults gladly ate it for them. The bar upstairs is filled with TVs and little nooks you can hide out in with a date. Can't wait to come back for steak and lobster for dinner.

Absolutely delicious! I had the lobster flatbread, buffalo chicken tater tots, and fried calamari. The service was friendly and attentive too. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in Big Bear!

We stopped in for a casual bite and ended up really impressed. The calamari was the standout -- unlike most places where it's all thick, heavy batter, this one was actually meaty, tender, and lightly crispy, which made a huge difference. You could really taste the seafood instead of just fried coating. The burger was also very solid -- juicy, well-seasoned, and nicely balanced with the toppings. Fries were hot and fresh, and everything came out quickly. The space itself is cozy and welcoming with a warm, rustic bar vibe that makes it a great spot to hang out, grab a drink, and enjoy good food. Overall, a great place for both comfort food and quality bites. Would definitely come back.

One of the supposedly nicer restaurants in Big Bear. No reservations. We went during lunch time on a Saturday and it was about a 45 min wait. Our waiter was friendly. Good sized menu. Something for everyone. I actually enjoyed the appetizers more than the actual entrees that we ordered. Fried Green Beans: Delicious. Perfectly crispy and fresh. I preferred their regular ranch for dipping over the wasabi ranch. Loaded Potato Skins: Addicting. Glad they didn't scoop out all of the potatoes so it was a very substantial dish. French Onion Soup: Delicious but a little salty. Oakside Street Tacos (steak): Spicy. Meat was a little dry, but the flavor was good. The Butcher Shop Pizza: Ok crust. A little spicy from the sausages. Portion a little on the small side for $24. Everyone enjoyed it as reheated leftovers. Pulled Pork Sandwich: This was ok. Nothing to rave about but no complaint. 16 oz. Bone in Ribeye Steak: Had good char bits but was so bland and slightly overcooked. The mashed potatoes was also bland. Sautéed corn was good. Wouldn't order again though. Overall, it's a decent restaurant with good service. Great menu selections but not my top choice for steakhouse.

Oakside seems like a very delicious place to eat. Unfortunately we were unable to dine in. I did not give it a 1 star even though our experience lived up to that level. The overall vibe is amazing, it has this kind of Lord Of the Rings vibe which is why my and my fiancée were looking forward to dining here for a few reasons. 1- we are eloping in big bear early next year so we were scoping our restaurants that fit our vibe. 2- they allowed dogs 3 - the food looked delicious Once I had gotten in there were two hosts but it took almost 10-15 min for them to seat someone. One would come up then disappear then the other would come up and then disappear. There were about 3 other groups waiting with me. This could just be the way it is but .. there was plenty of seating inside and me and my fiancée with our two dogs were outside so I was not sure why it did take so long. I also asked the host when they were able to seat us if she could take the menus outside to my fiancée who was by the fire to stay warm and she seemed annoyed by it but .. it was a little cold soooo understandable. I needed to use the restroom and did not wan to lose my place in line so that's why I asked to do that. The. I got outside and noted my Fiancée was sitting at a table and not the fire ... My fiancée the let me know that the host told her she could not sit there with the dogs... it was a high table which the dogs could not even get close to the fire to begin with ... so it did not make sense but if those are the rules of the house fine... we asked about heat lamps and with annoyance the host told us we don't do those here. After this we began to really question if this is where we wanted to eat , then our waitress came out and she was really sweet and we asked about the heat lamps again and she was nicer in letting us know they did not do heat lamps. So sadly we decided this was not where we wanted to eat. It was surprising to me ... in a place that gets cold and clients who have dogs you aren't prepared for outside seating at all? I will say... don't let this sway you from trying the food.. it did look really good. But I'd you are looking for a dog friendly restaurant where you can stay warm, and enjoy good food at the same time.. I'm not sure Oakside will be able to accommodate you.

Ate here on Halloween Night while everybody else was out trick or treating in the Village. We were sat out on the patio with our two little pups. They very thoughtfully sat us in a corner table to keep us at a peaceful distance from other people with pups, I loved that. We were pretty quickly served water and asked if we were ready to order within minutes. We greedily ordered two apps for just two people but we had no regrets haha the loaded potato skins and the ahi poke were both really great! Although I did squeeze a lime wedge from my drink on my poke to make it a little better. They did not skimp on any of the ingredients here. For entrees I got the Oakside burger and my boyfriend got the chicken mushroom ravioli. This id unfortunately where I cut a star. The fries with the burger were under fried and a bit soggy, and the ground ravioli filling had an odd texture that wasn't too pleasant. Sauce was great though and my burger was well made! Our drinks were strong and delicious as well! Got a blueberry mule and my boyfriend got a prickly pear margarita. Both highly recommend! Will definitely come back for another date night when we're back in town. Would love to try other things on the menu

After a nice walk through The Village, my boyfriend and I stopped by Oakside for an early dinner. We loved the cozy ambiance, there were options to be seated outdoor and indoor. For our appetizer, we chose the loaded tater tots, which were crispy and topped with sour cream, cheese, green onion, and bacon. It was a very filling appetizer for the two of us to share. We also ordered the Chicken Mushroom Ravioli and Ribeye, which paired very well together! We loved dipping the steak into the ravioli sauce, almost like fondue! I would highly recommend these two dishes. Overall, I would come here again the next time I'm in Big Bear. I am looking forward to the next time I can enjoy a relaxing stay with a wonderful dinner!

Oakside has officially become our go-to restaurant in Big Bear Lake Village. Ray and I went there for a nice dinner, and from start to finish it was an excellent experience. We chose to sit upstairs on the second floor, which was perfect. It's truly an adults-only vibe -- quiet, relaxed, and free from the noise of large groups or families with kids. Downstairs is great for bigger groups, but upstairs is ideal if you're looking to actually enjoy conversation and unwind. Ray ordered the Ahi poke Steak, and it was phenomenal. Perfectly prepared and full of flavor. He also had the Brussels sprouts and corn, which were very tasty and paired beautifully with the ahi. I had the Black and Blue Burger with sweet potato fries, and it was absolutely delicious. The burger was so big I could only eat half -- rich, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. We sat in the bar area, and our server Kayla was wonderful. She was also the bartender, and Ray said she made an excellent dirty martini. I tried a double IPA -- something new for me -- and it was really good. Kayla was an absolute sweetheart. You can tell she genuinely cares about people enjoying their drinks and meals, and it's clear why customers keep coming back. Service like that truly makes a difference. Oakside is one of those places you might accidentally walk past when you first enter the village because you want to see what else is around -- but now that we know it, this will be a must-stop every time we're in Big Bear. Five stars without hesitation. Loved it, loved it, loved it.

Came to Oakside for the first time and I can't say I have a single complaint. We first arrived to find out the wait time was anywhere from 45mins - 1hr 15, but we were advised we could proceed upstairs to the bar floor where there would be open seating depending on availability (first come, first serve). We didn't have to wait long on the bar floor upstairs to find a small table for 2. Before we found a table, I had already ordered 2 drinks at the bar; a spiced old-fashioned and a mango margarita with a sugar rim instead of Tajín (for my gf). Victoria was quick and precise with making and serving up the drinks. Strong in liquor, and perfectly balanced with flavors. Both drinks were absolutely delicious. A few mins later she brought menus to our table. We were so undecided on what to eat but she was both patient and friendly. Once we finally made our picks, she was quick to get the orders in. My girlfriend ordered the capellini pomodoro pasta and I ordered baby back ribs. I'm not an expert, but these were the best baby back ribs I've ever had. I couldn't even hold a piece without the meat sliding off the bone, and as I understand, that's the sign of perfect ribs. My sides were delicious too; roasted Brussel sprouts and Mac & cheese. Just as Victoria came by with the check in hand, she asked whether I'd be interested in dessert (which I had totally forgotten about). I asked for her recommendation and she recommended the Oakie Dough (chocolate chip cookie with ice cream scoop on top). She also knew how to upsell an espresso martini to go with it too and I don't regret it one bit. Overall a great, delicious, friendly and warm experience. We were too excited to take pics of everything we ordered but I just had to take a pic of the espresso martini to cap the night off.

As tourists in Big Bear, we walked around the village and chose Oakside. It was busy, so we waited about 35 minutes, which felt reasonable. Once seated our server was covering both inside and outside, so things were a little slow, but she was working hard as she could and stayed friendly. We don't drink alcohol so we just order water. The kids ordered chocolate milk, but they had run out, so they were given about a half a cup each of chocolate milk for FREE, which we appreciated. We waited about an hour for our food to come out. The appetizers were delicious. But it's kinda hard to tell because we were starving and you know everything taste good when you are at that point. We had Fried calamari and Skin-on potatoes and onion soup. For our Main dishes: Kids' mac and cheese , was a total success. Steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli came out a little cold but we didn't want to send it back since we had been waiting for so long. Angel hair pasta with shrimp was a disappointment since it was so salty, and we couldn't eat it. I let the manager know, and she was extremely understanding and took it off the bill. Great customer service. The atmosphere was a highlight--lots of warm wood, cozy mountain vibes, and perfect for Big Bear's cold weather. Overall, the food didn't fully meet our expectations, but the service and ambiance were great. I'd recommend Oakside more for adults or anyone enjoying alcoholic drinks while you wait for food.

We stumbled this place on Yelp while searching for a dog friendly restaurant in big bear and yes they were accommodating and have an ample space outdoor. The food was nothing special. We ordered their calamari which was tender and flavorful. Their alaskan salmon was on the bland side and their skirt steak cooked on medium was very dry and their Brussel sprouts were a bit mushy and the other serving of it was burnt. I am giving it 3 stars because it was a good place for furry babies and service was also good.

So glad we got to try this location. When we drove by it smelled great so we went back. They don't take reservations so you'll need to put your name on the list. We were told an hour but it only took 20min. They do have a bar area and it's open seating. However outdoor deck was only cocktails. We decided to wait and enjoyed sitting in the dining room. I got the ahi tuna burger lettuce wrapped and if you see my picture, it was a lot of lettuce!! But I didn't mind. I ate it like a salad and the sweet potato fries were delicious and very generous! My friend got the pork sliders which had 3 sliders and she said they were very good. Would totally go back because other items looked good as well. Our server was ok. He kinda forgot about us which he even said but luckily we weren't in a rush! SYOY!

My wife and I come here when we want me to be wined and dined. It is by far the best romantic, nice dinning, quality restaurant in Big Bear. Service is always good regardless of how busy they are. We always share the filet dinner as it's perfect for the two of us. Our sides are the mash potatoes and Brussels sprouts. It is always consistently delicious. Best steak on the mountain hands down. Appetizers are always good as well; cowboy bites, Brussels sprouts, ahi poke, bruschetta, and truffle fries. You won't be disappointed. This was our first time trying the dessert and although not to die for was still very delicious and presented well.

Had lunch in the bar. Ordered the basic burger. Asked for medium. Came well done. Tasted like an old biscuit. Server/bartender Travis didn't do a taste check so I told him later when he picked up dishes. He was very busy trying to impress his bar customers with his aspirations for another bar job. I get it. Big Bear is hard knocks for service workers. Gotta grind. But Lordy- pay attention. It was a $65 tab. I pointed out he might want to catch the mis-cook and he replied that was the kitchen's job. Okay. I understand your approach now.

Nice bar. Great vibe! We wanted a fun place to watch the Dodger game! We were not disappointed! We went upstairs to the bar. The drinks were amazing! And the food was outstanding! I ordered the ribeye with a baked potato and mac n cheese. But the best part was feeling the connection amongst the patrons in the bar as the Dodgers won the championship!

Oakside is located in The Village and features American style fare in a two story plus large space. We dined in a couple weeks ago and had a nice time here. It's a big restaurant featuring indoor and outdoor seating of all kinds - a front patio, indoor seating with some booths, up stairs dinging/lounge and bar with many TVs, and an outdoor patio. It was a Friday evening and the place had a nice buzz. The front patio was busy and we decided to check out the upstairs area which has a lot of space. Oakside reminds of me a BJs (they even have a dessert called the Oakie Dough which is basically a Pizookie) with it's wide American style food menu with various small bites/appetizers (sliders, wings, shrimp cocktail etc), soups and salads, pizzas/flatbreads, burgers/sandwiches pastas and various other entrees. Their drink options are equally great with various beers, wines, cocktails and liquors alike, non alcoholic drinks and more. My friend and I dined upstairs in the bar section at a tabletop and enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service. James was our main server whom provided great service, was friendly and cool. Other staff were great as well and helped out. Loaded Potato Skins - Topped with cheddar and mozzarella cheese, green onion, sour cream and applewood smoked bacon. These were done very well and it was a good portion. Wagyu Steak Burger - Half pound patty with caramelized onion, iceberg lettuce, tomato, house burger sauce, brioche bun. Friend enjoyed this burger with fries. Caribbean Jerk Spiced Filet of Alaskan Salmon - Lemon dill Dijon cream sauce. I was told this was a popular item and it did not disappoint. The fish is farmed raised however but was cooked/spiced well. Served with choices of two sides. I went with the gold mashed potatoes and mac & cheese and both were very good. Oakie Dough - Freshly baked to order chocolate chip cookie topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream Enjoyed beers, some cocktails and even some coffees and we were stuffed. There is a public parking lot with an entrance right next to the business. Prices were fine and reasonable for the type of establishment and area.

I went around 7 pm and there was a ~40 minute wait for a party of 2 but if you go upstairs (if you're over 18) there isn't a wait. The servers were welcoming and the food came out pretty quick. The french onion soup felt pricey for the size but was really tasty, and the pulled pork sandwich was very tasty and big.

Absolutely terrible experience. Yes, the place was busy -- that's no excuse for how horribly this was handled. After finally being seated, we were shoved into a far back corner and completely ignored. It took 20 minutes just to get water, which is unacceptable at any restaurant. Once we ordered, we waited an additional 40 minutes for our food. Meanwhile, the rest of our party -- who were forced to sit separately because staff wouldn't allow ONE extra chair -- were seated after us and somehow managed to get served before us. Make that make sense. The service was slow, disorganized, and careless. Staff showed zero urgency or awareness, and the entire situation felt poorly managed from start to finish. If you value your time or basic service, do not eat here. 1/10. Would not recommend to anyone.

Like I mentioned in the previous review, this place never disappoints. I think I'm on a mission to try 90% of the menu....and I'm almost there

The food is here is delicious. The bar is upstairs and it's a cozy setup. We got a drink here and it was pretty fast. They were attentive. This is our second time coming here when we stay in Big Bear.

This was awesome. We decided to take a drive to Big Bear for our friend's birthday. We saw it on Yelp. The staff is excellent, friendly and helpful. The food was great. We got fish and chips, BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich, Chicken Alfredo flatbread and BBQ Pulled Pork Tater Tots. Beca our waitress was excellent. Without us asking, she brought him his favorite dessert, brownie and played the USC March song on her phone. He is a big USC enthusiast. This made the whole meal icing on the cake. Thank you for such an enjoyable dinner. We are looking forward to coming back. Sorry we didn't take pics of the food we were hungry. Lol.

Always a treat, always. Can't say enough good things - atmosphere is sophisticated yet lively. You feel like you can enjoy BOTH a family dinner after a long hike without looking out of place AND a bombastic dinner with friends laden with salt, fat, and cold beer. The theme is a dark woody-rustic which matches the cabin feel of the community perfectly. Comfortable bench seating and charming bar full of laughter and polished patrons. The servers were fast and the menus were extensive without tipping into too many options. We ordered a mojito, a Moscow mule, the vegan teriyaki chicken bowl, and two impossible burgers. The drinks were stellar - both in taste and value proposition (as they were not 75% ice like you find at other establishments). The teriyaki chicken bowl (pictured) served as a fantastic appetizer to share, and its vegan chicken was very tasty with a strong umami flavor. The Impossible Burgers floored us with their peppery flavor and pillowy buns. Savory barbecue sauce and a dinner plate full of French fries had us beaming ear to ear. If I had any more room in my stomach, I would have ordered another without a single reservation. Finally, the waitress was a doll and checked in on us several times throughout the meal. The check came out quickly with the good ole fashioned courtesy line of "take your time, no rush" which we were tempted to take her up on due in part to the lively setting. Cannot wait to dine here again!

First time there, took the family. My friend and I went up to the bar upstairs. We waited for the bartender to come up to us after 20+ minutes for them to take our order. The table was finally ready we just decided to go to our table downstairs. The food was great. But when my little one needed to use the restroom. There's only 1 bathroom downstairs for the entire restaurant and my little girl waited for another 20 min in line to use it. Not worth the hype

Needed to eat after hiking. It was around 230p and it was busy but the wait wasn't that long. Got the butcher pizza, loaded tater tots and truffle fries. The server Michael was pleasant. The food came out maybe 20 mins after we ordered. I find everything salty though. Its near the holiday inn so its convenient for us and everywhere was crowded. Not a bad option

On the last night here in big bear, we were recommended this restaurant by a couple people. First, I wanted to talk about the outdoor dining area and we were blessed with such beautiful views and went during golden hour. It wasn't too hot, not too bright out and we sat right next to the fireplace. I highly recommend this place if you love a good aesthetic restaurant. Now let's talk about the food, I got a burger and fries. The burger was pretty good, and definitely messy because of the egg that I got with it. The fries were crispy and the service was really good as well

My family and I ate here after a long day of snowboarding. The food and service at this restaurant was great. We only had to wait about half an hour before being seated. The ambience is cozy and rustic. Would definitely recommend this restaurant!

We went to have lunch for 7 and they told us they can only seat 6. Mind you, they have tables they can push together. Hostess was not interested in trying to accommodate. Even tho it was 4 adults and 3 small children. and as we are walking out we see multiple parties of 8. So if you have a large party that would give them business, don't waste your time.

The service and ambiance were definitely a 5/5. Our server was wonderful--young yet professional, and very hospitable. He really stood out and made our experience enjoyable. The outdoor seating was beautiful, surrounded by flowers, and the fact that it's dog-friendly was a huge plus. The food, however, was disappointing--more of a 2/5. I ordered the wagyu burger medium rare, but it arrived fully well-done and missing the caramelized onions. While our server graciously offered to have it fixed, we were too hungry to wait. The patty also lacked seasoning and flavor. Out of the three burgers our table ordered, only one was cooked correctly. My husband asked for medium but received well-done too. As for appetizers, we tried the fried calamari and loaded tater tots. Both were decent but nothing memorable. Considering the burgers were around $25 each, the quality didn't match the price. Overall, the location and service were excellent, but the food was mediocre and overpriced. I'd maybe come back for appetizers and drinks, but not for a full meal. With the outstanding service, I'll round my review up to 4/5--but realistically, it felt closer to a 3/5.

Me and my wife Jennifer are on vacation from San Diego... we came to Oakside twice this week... everything was amazing... Terrie was our server she was on top of everything and we had stellar service ... we got to laugh with her and she made our dining experience awesome... We will be back in town soon and will be back to Oakside ... Just wanted to say we had a really good time at your restaurant... Thank you Terrie and staff ... Happy Holidays !

This place is an absolute must-visit. From the moment we walked in until the moment we left, we were treated like celebrities. The waitstaff was extremely attentive, the food was outstanding, and the bartender was incredibly creative. You can order virtually any drink--even if it's not on the menu--and they will make it happen. The service was so exceptional that I happily left a 50% tip. Highly recommended.

We came by Oakside for lunch and sat on the patio with lovely weather. The Ahi sandwich was delicious and nothing to complain about the chicken Caesar salad. Everything was nice with a relaxing atmosphere. Our server was very helpful in picking out items from the menu.

Came in for a few appetizers and drinks. The bar was upstairs, the food and service was good. Nice moody bar, we will be back to try a dinner service soon.

Dinner on our last night in Big Bear brought us here. We arrived around 5:30 pm before the dinner rush. Your choice of seating is outside on the patio, inside the dining room, or upstairs in the bar/lounge. We chose to eat in the bar/lounge, which was less busy and had TVs showing sports. The place was comfortable. We weren't too hungry so we decided to share an appetizer and an entree. We shared the loaded potato skins. It was a smaller amount than we're used to but was cooked well. It seemed like one potato cut into halves, lengthwise. But it was just the right amount for us. The cheese and bacon bits to potato ratio was just right. We also shared the Marinara & Meatballs (spaghetti with meatballs). The sauce was not too tart and a little sweet. The five meatballs were tender, moist, and flavorful. The four small pieces of garlic bread were simple but flavorful. It was a hefty portion size for one person. But that always depends on how much you eat or how hungry you are. We still had some leftover - two meatballs and some noodles.

We walked in on Sunday evening, sat up stairs at the bar since the dining room had a 20min wait. Open seating met we could get cocktails and enjoy the Sunday night game. The appetizers were served with a smile and tasted good, we ordered the cheese curds and bruschetta, elevated bar food. Unfortunately the oak burger was just serviceable not as good as the rest of the experience.

Food was great and we ate dinner up in the Sports Bar area as there was a wait for the downstairs dining area. Outside was too cold for us, but a beautiful area. Food was excellent! We ordered steaks and their sides didn't disappoint at all. The mashed potatoes were amazing! Great ambiance, clean bathrooms, excellent service. I definitely recommend.

My family and I were visiting the Big Bear area when we came across Oakside. The restaurant does not take reservations and is open on a first-come, first-serve basis. We went on a Saturday evening, which we expected to be busy. We waited for about 25 minutes. Once seated, we waited about 15 minutes for our server to take our order. She was apologetic for the wait, but I was understanding that it was a busy time. Indoor and outdoor dining is available. Casual dining (first floor) and Upper Bar (2nd floor): the bar does not serve food; it's only for drinks. We started with a Roasted Brussels sprouts Appetizer and the day's soup: corn and bacon chowder soup. OMG, this soup was amazing! We also ordered the chopped American Wagyu steak burger. It was my first time eating a Wagyu steak burger, which was so satisfying! 10/10. Our kids ordered the chicken strips and cheeseburger with fries. Both kiddos were happy and loved the fries. Overall- great place and fantastic food. The service was slow, but it was a hectic time, so I always try my best to keep that in mind.

Starting with the good: Food is delicious! I ordered the Impossible Burger with sweet potato fries. Also tried the calamari - that was ok. Upon arrival they said there was a wait time of 30min and we provided our phone number to get a text. After 40+ min we went to them and asked how much longer. They seemed to have tables and gave us one. Just not sure why it took long and no text was sent. :/ We decided to try to speed up the food delivery by ordering right away but the waiter was pretty quick to leave us. We did sit inside, and it was so noisy! Not sure if that's normal, but I would sit outside to avoid that. It felt like I was in a raging bar. Maybe they caught our energy cause they offered dessert and our last order on the house. Very sweet of them. Still took a really long time. A good 2.5hrs total of this whole process. :/

I would rate this a 4.5/5. The only thing I would dock off is the service being a bit slow since this place is super busy. The wait is a bit long. We came here around 1:15 and waited about 30 mins to get seated. We took our order pretty quickly. The food came out in about 10-15mins. All of the food was good. The Santa Fe Sandwich had a bit of a kick with the onion and pepper and was bursting with flavor. The Ahi tuna burger was super tender. Both the wagyu and the Oakside burger were cooked to perfection. The side of fries was well done as well and came out fresh and crispy. When leaving around 2:40pm the entire lobby was packed with people still waiting to eat here and get seated.

This place is probably one of the most popular and busiest restaurants in Big Bear. Wait times can be two hours, but typically like 45 minutes each time we've gone. We've only sat outside each time because we had our dogs with us each time. Food is always pretty good, in the past we've ordered the three street tacos (shredded chicken, onions, cilantro and a tasty green salsa, I get a side of avo), hubs has gotten the kale apple salad with grilled chicken, a burger, the French dip, and calamari. We've gotten roasted Brussels sprouts and potato skins once, too. Everything was well prepared and consistent. Beautiful patio, inside has an Alpine chalet sort of vibe, with outside seating on second story overlooking the street and passersby's. Service is always super friendly.

Waiters are attentive and the burgers are pretty good. I'd recommend the Corbin blue burger.

decent american fare; nothing spectacular. french dip was sufficiently filling. long wait, had to walk around killing time for about 30min or so before we got notified, but fortunately the weather was lovely outside. friendly servers, chill outdoor ambiance. pricing seems pretty par for the course. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The restaurant is located in The Village so there is plenty of free parking nearby. We stopped by on a Thursday afternoon with 8 other guests and they provided us with two tables which worked perfectly and had a space for us. We were seated within 5 minutes. They have high chairs available for the little ones. They have a kids menu consisting of spaghetti , chicken tenders with fries and one more item. They have options ranging from pasta, burgers, flat bread, fries, sweet potato fries, tater tots and much more. Everyone enjoyed the food and the server was amazing!! She was attentive, refilled our water and soda drinks, and even brought out the kids meals first.

We experienced a very short wait for an outside table and were seated by a lovely hostess. After 20 minutes of watching every table around us be acknowledged and asked for their food and drink orders, we decided that our dining there wasn't meant to be. One star for the kind hostess. First time we've had an experience like this in the years we've visited this lovely restaurant. Must have just been an off day for wait staff.

This was a great first stop for us in Big Bear. It's a big restaurant that seems to be a popular place in the village. The ambience was lovely. Perfect to grab food or drinks with anyone. We arrived around 7 on Friday right when the sun was getting ready to set with no reservation and the wait for outside seats was maybe 10 minutes. The menu was extensive. Medium well skirt steak was perfect to me but wife thought it was just good. Chicken wings had a great texture and cooked nice and juicy but I guess they could have used a bit more flavor but still pretty good. Truffle fries were very truffly. Not the best mashed potatoes or Brussels sprouts I've had, they were alright just mild in the flavor department. The lemon drop was one of the stars of the show. Highly recommend that. Tasty and strong. Just rather have raspberry lemon drop too. Might have to have that next time! Service was pretty friendly but could have been faster. I think the servers were doing their best but might have been slightly understaffed.

Opened up this spot in Yelp and knew we had to come in based off of the photos and reviews. We ended up going to sit and enjoy upstairs because the wait downstairs was a little longer than we were wanting but upstairs seemed to be a fun lively area. We got a small table by the bar to enjoy an app and some drinks. We loved how it was a wood cabin feel since there definitely are not places like that close to home. I would definitely come back here again for a meal because the menu looked amazing!

Visited for lunch on a Thursday, no wait for bar seating upstairs (18+). Jennifer the bartender helped us out really quickly & had great recommendations. We got the cowboy bites for an app & it tasted amazing & super crunchy fresh. For mains my bf got the chicken cordon bleu & I got angel hair pasta with brown butter sauce. Everything came out delicious, we'll definitely be back.

FOOD POISONING!!! if I could give this restaurant zero stars, I would! If you're going to read a review, please read this one ... it was my sister's 21st birthday and we decided to celebrate in big Bear and to start off the night. I called the restaurant to make a reservation one they don't take reservations, which is OK I put our name down and I mentioned numerous times it's a 21st birthday for my sister! Then when we were called to be seated, the lady literally named LINDA was at the host and I mentioned to her the birthday girl is right here she has arrived, and Linda looked at her and rolled her eyes and then gave the menus to the other host to seat us. My brother then made a remark back saying well that's a little rude to not acknowledge someone that decides to celebrate their birthday here. It was 8:45 PM when they decided to seat us and the server comes to us right away and says you need to order before we even were able to look at the menu. we mentioned that to him we literally just sat down and he goes the kitchen closes at 9 and then we said we just got sat by your house then he proceeds to take our order besides the dining. Let me get to the good part after we all got home we got food poisoning and I do have receipts from ER visits because of it! Just wanted to share my experience we had but please be careful with their food
