Having lived in Texas 15+ years and loving all the Tex-Mex I could get my hands on, Oaky's is descent Tex-Mex but not quite the real deal. I took a star off for the fact that it was very hard to find this place and parking is non-existent. Its inside the Batch 206 distillery (which is listed on Google maps if you read), but it took us a while to find it. The food overall was very good. I loved the quesadilla with the yummy stringy cheese! The BBQ chicken (tacos) were equally delicious! I actually really liked the BBQ flavor of the chicken. I would highly recommend these two dishes since I liked them both. The chips were good, but the queso wasn't what I expected. The cheese was not great and the beloved salsa and the spice I expect from Tex-Mex queso wasn't there. The guacamole also lacked that same oomph, and it was more on the sour side (I strongly dislike anything sour) so that wasn't a hit with us either. Overall, Oaky's is pretty descent Tex-Mex and if you're a Texan living in Seattle and miss a bit of home, itll be a good place to check out. Just dont expect the same as you would from like say Chuy's. Also, I had the Oaky's Revenge from the bar at the Distillery. It sounded interesting so I had to try it! I was pleasantly surprised by it. It's definitely a more savory-ish mix drink, but worth it if you're curious to try.
