The 15 Best Restaurants In Nassau, Bahamas 2024

"Oasis is an ideal lunch spot in Palmdale, especially when you need an excuse to roll yourself off that hammock you’ve been parked at for days. Stick primarily to the Bahamian dishes, like a seafood dip brimming with conch, lobster, and shrimp, but know the restaurant has also mastered the art of the rack of lamb. Theirs has just the right amount of scorch that tastes great bathed in the garlic reduction and topped with homemade mint jelly. It’s a fun place where you can probably walk in and appreciate some Bahamian art and music over a plate of those perfect lamb chops." - ashleigh sean rolle

I went there for a few appetizers and honestly I was not satisfied with anything I had. First of all everything was so cold and it was not a busy shift. The calamari was cold and flavorless… it literally felt like I was eating cold fried flour, the dumplings were cold, extremely hard and not satisfying, I did not enjoy the spring rolls, they were not flacky as I thought they would have been, they were cold and also no flavor. And to top it off, I ordered a mocktail because I don’t drink alcohol and the waitress charged me $21.25(including VAT & grats) I ask her to confirm the price and she said yes that’s what it is… the mocktail literally cost more than some of my appetizers. What was most upsetting is it did not taste good. I didn’t send the mocktail back because I don’t like to upset people who’s touching my drinks 😅 but it was watery with a hint of mint flavor. Overall, I’m not going back there.

Food was good, presentation was lovely. The wings were flavorful and crispy, very delicious, however, the fries were very small, portion was small (and I love fries) and flavorless. I had the snapper fillet sandwich, a little bland but it was thick, worth the money. The spinach dip was sooooooo yummy, I highly recommend. They didnt serve the appetizers first then the entrees, so expect to eat everything at once. Not sure if it was because it was late in the afternoon but the server (Tina, I think) was not pleasant, she was very ‘matter of fact’ and did not crack one smile, several of us at the table work in service and agreed that she was a tad abrasive. We were celebrating a gender reveal and decided that it wasn't worth the drama to ask for a Manager. Overall, we enjoyed our time at Oasis.

We had an amazing experience at Oasis Restaurant, thanks to our phenomenal server, Nathan! He checked on us regularly, making sure we had everything we needed. Even when he wasn’t sure about a drink, he took the time to double-check, which we really appreciated. His food recommendations were spot on, and his warm, welcoming personality made our meal even more enjoyable. I also mentioned that the AC was too cold, and he adjusted it right away, which was a thoughtful touch. Nathan served with a smile the entire time, making us feel right at home. The only downside was that the indoor seating felt a bit tight, but overall, the service and food were fantastic. We’ll definitely be back!

While on vacation, my husband and I decided to step out of our comfort zone and try something new since we typically dine at Fish Fry. Unfortunately, this experience left much to be desired. We started with the spinach dip, which was honestly the only highlight of the meal creamy, flavorful, and well prepared. For that reason, they’re getting 1 stars. However, the main courses were a major letdown. I ordered the lobster hamburger, and my husband had the cheeseburger with egg. Both were incredibly disappointing. The burgers were made with frozen hamburger patties, not fresh ground beef, which was a huge letdown given how nasty they were. If you’re familiar with frozen hamburger patties in the U.S., they tasted eerily similar to the “Big Boy” brand from the early 2000s. The meat was more like imitation beef with a distinguished taste, not what we expected from a restaurant. To make matters worse, while dining outdoors, a rat ran across the restaurant. If you do opt to eat here, I strongly recommend sitting indoors if you’re still willing to give it a chance. Also, the table and cups were not clean. Overall, the burgers were nasty, and while the spinach dip was enjoyable, we wouldn’t return for another meal based on this experience.

I had a delightful dinner with friends at Oasis Bar & Bistro, and it was truly a memorable experience. Our server, Brittany, was an absolute joy—her warm and energetic personality made our dining experience even better. She provided excellent menu recommendations and checked in regularly to ensure we were satisfied. At the end of our meal, she genuinely welcomed us to return, which left a lasting impression. We kicked off the evening with some refreshing beverages. Two of us had the Lychee Lemonade mocktail, which was beautifully presented in a mason jar with a lychee fruit garnish. While it leaned on the sweeter side, it was incredibly delicious and well-balanced with citrusy notes. Another friend opted for the Long Island Iced Tea, which had a perfect blend of strong and smooth flavors, garnished with a fresh lime. We ordered a variety of starters to share, and each one was packed with flavor: Fried Calamari – Crispy, golden-fried, and perfectly seasoned, the calamari was served with sliced jalapeños for a slight kick and a side of tangy dipping sauce. The texture was just right—tender on the inside with a satisfying crunch. Conch Bites – These deep-fried conch fritters were a standout. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and drizzled with a flavorful sauce; and Spring Rolls – The spring rolls were golden brown and crisp, served with a sweet ginger dipping sauce. They were generously filled with savory vegetables and had a satisfying crunch in every bite. For our mains, we indulged in a variety of delicious dishes: Pulled Pork Tacos – Served in both soft and crispy shells, these tacos were filled with tender, flavorful pulled pork and topped with a vibrant, tropical salsa of diced mango. The combination of sweetness, smokiness, and freshness made each bite fantastic. Seafood Linguine – A rich and creamy pasta dish featuring a generous portion of seafood, including mussels, lobster, shrimp, clams and calamari . The sauce was velvety, and indulgent, with crispy parmesan-crusted bread on the side for dipping. Blackened Mahi Mahi – Perfectly seasoned and grilled, the mahi-mahi had a beautiful char on the outside while remaining moist and flaky inside. It was served with a side of Caesar salad, crispy sweet potato fries, and a refreshing sauce that complemented the bold seasoning. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, and the portion sizes were huge—we all had plenty of leftovers to take home! The ambiance of the restaurant, combined with the fantastic service and well-executed dishes, made for an exceptional evening.

Ambience was great. Nice to see what they've done with the place as I recall dining at Lucianos. Went for a outing for our work team. Food was good. We had wings and seafood spinach dip for appetizers. Our crew for the main course had lamb, steak, salmon and risotto. Only knock was the flies, and they came in heavy! Our server assisted with bringing some candles but they didn't do much for the flies. We even asked another server for some more candles to thwart the flies but that was unsuccessful as well. We sat under the large cabana, beautiful view. Our server was very nice, but she had lots of tables to cover on that shift as well. All in all a good experience hopefully there can be something done for the flies, if it wasn't an isolated incident.

Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. I celebrated my birthday dinner at Oasis Bar and Bistro, and it truly exceeded all expectations. The ambiance struck the perfect balance of soft, luxe elegance and welcoming and sophisticated without being over the top. The staff were incredibly accommodating, attentive without being intrusive, and made the evening feel extra special. And the food? Absolutely delicious. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. My main course was the lobster in cream lemon garlic sauce with ruffle Mac & cheese and asparagus. It was to dieeee for! Highly recommend for a special occasion or any time you want to treat yourself.

I called around 6:30 to make a reservation. No answer I called again around 6:35 again no answer. I figured they were just busy. It was a Sunday night so my husband and I decided to just drive to the restaurant. Upon our arrival, we asked the hostess a light skin girl with her hair and a low ponytail wearing a green dress DEANNA if there was any seating available and she said no. My husband and I then walked to the bar to be served. The bartender WENTY was a pleasant fellow, took our orders, made our drinks, and we sat and waited for our food. The drinks are delicious and made to perfection .Our entrées came out 30 minutes before our appetizers by the time our appetizers came out we didn’t even want it anymore, but decided not to make a fuss. We asked him why we were being served our appetizers after our entrees and his response was “they just do that sometimes”. So if you know that that’s something that they do wouldn’t it be intelligent to put in our appetizers , wait until they’ve been served and then put in our entrées? But it’s not entirely his fault the kitchens need to get it together because there’s no way they should be serving a main course before the appetizer. Also on the menu it states that they have broccolini but i wasn’t served broccolini I was served just regular broccoli. I told the bartender that I asked for broccolini and he said “what even is that “. I don’t think they know the difference. He did try to make amends by offering my husband and I two free shots that tasted like robitussin. His intentions were in the right place, but in the end we couldn’t even drink it. To top it off my husband and I saw a four top and a three top that went empty the entire night, even though we walked in and asked the hostess if they had any tables available. What should’ve been done in that situation is she should’ve said they have reservations (if that was the case), but in the event that they don’t show up, she can transfer us to a table. That’s what she should’ve said, but she didn’t. Overall, the food is absolutely delicious The ambience is beautiful and I will give this place a try again in hopes that it changes my view and review , but so far I’m not impressed ,not even slightly.
