Oasis Pizza & Gyros

This place is racist and unwelcoming. Came in to use the bathroom on a long ride home after being on a liquid diet for surgery 7hrs prior. The man warming up the pizza told me I wasn't allowed to use the restroom even after explaining my situation, so I offered to buy a slice of pizza (because I know some places are customers only). As I spoke to him he sucked his teeth, rolled his eyes and turned his back to me standing still while beginning to ignore me. When another man came in he was all of a sudden eager to speak. The woman at the register completely ignored me as well. So, I left. Do not patronize this place. It doesn't look appealing anyway. Based off the previous reviews and yelp reviews it looks like a dump and the workers are extremely rude and unprofessional. 0 stars if I could.

I don't recommend. Everytime I've gone here they take at double or more the amount of time to get you your food than a Bodega or similar places. Prices are also higher. This place is a waste of time and money. There's better places the same block or block over. 19 min for a bacon egg and cheese...

Finally visited Oasis Gyros. Maybe it was a bit different before, but the interior design is lovely and relaxing. Tried their pancakes, fries, and black coffee - the pancakes were so fluffy, the fries were crunchy too. The price is decent based on the portion size. The atmosphere is great plus good heating system (snowing heavily outside) and live music. Not at all congested. Nice staff, keep the place neat & clean. Enjoyed the afternoon with my mom, and hope to try their gyro next time. Drop by and have something here, y'all. Decent place.

I’ve ordered out food from here more times than I count. It’s always good and I’m always satisfied. 10/10 will continue to order the Philly cheesesteak, Chicken bacon ranch pizza & mozzarella sticks from here.

Delicious cheese burger with tasty fries Two deluxe burgers came out to about $30 but its worth it!

I’ve ordered chicken tacos and they’re delicious! and today I ordered gyros with chicken and lamb, and French fries. The lady was super friendly and the gyros were very tasty. Very good!

This place is okay to dine in, but I really don’t like how sometimes the pizza tastes fresh and some other days it tastes old with the cheese tasting old or being slightly hard. And another downside is that this one day I found a small hair on my pizza and ever since I haven’t really went back. But overall I recommend this place if you’re on a low budget.

Ehhh. Another place that makes up prices. One day it's $4. One day it's $6. /the next 4, then 5. The same product. Avoid it. It's not worth it. It's not clean. There's real pizza across the st, sunnyside pizza. There's real chicken and food next door at pelicana or the bodega. Avoid this scam of making up. We're over it. I was a daily customer but after this I'm done. Have some respect for the ones who always there.... they don't understand so ill take my business to the better quality food if you're making up prices that equate to actual quality food...

My son and his friends brought food home from this "restaurant" and 2 out of the 3 got violently sick a few hours later along with Eddie. I took one look at the disgusting greasy pile of (who knows what) and fortunately did not touch it. Stay away. Disgusting and revolting.

I ordered from this location after 11pm because that's all that was open. I'm pretty happy with how quickly we got the food. The slices were pretty big. I'm happy it was under $30.00 we were given paper plates and napkins. We were called after we ordered to make sure the address was correct. I was very happy that I received the call. They told us it would be 30 mins and it came in 25 mins. Definitely a late night place for people who are leaving the bar to avoid the hangover.

Absolutely disgusting. I ordered a lamb gyro and it was disgusting GREASY "meat" that made it completely inedible. How this place has any good reviews is a mystery. ANY of the REAL GREEK food trucks like Souvlaki King are a zillion times better than this drek. Stay away........

Ordered tacos late at night. Everything came cold. Meat was cold. Taco shells were cold. It took me forever just to chew through the meal.

This place is absolutely AWFUL and should be avoided at all costs! I was here earlier and the pizza man here again displayed what a dirty unhygienic place it is. I ordered two slices of pizza to go and of course he uses his dirty hands to put the two slices into a box. This is after watching him touch his face, hair and his phone. What a total disregard your the customers to not wear gloves. This is not the first time this as happened here and I will not be back again. I brought it to his colleagues attention and demanded a refund but he said he would get his colleague to get me two new slices. Not a chance! I got the refunded and will definitely not be back here again. Also they are very extremely over priced here and are always trying to stiff people for an extra buck or two as it wasn't already expensive enough here on top of the awful service. There are so much better places on the block so why settle for this shocking place.

Amazing cheeseburger and garlic bread! Delicious flavors and great service. Highly recommend!

Food quality isn't good. But the biggest problem is the people who work there. The same thing I ordered for takeout on two different days but at different prices!! On top of that different setups for different days, when asked the cook got angry and the cashier tried explaining tax to me lol

This is a no frills type of place, good for late night food if you are hungry late at night like I usually am. It's open when pretty much everywhere else is closed. I got a large cheese pizza and salad from here around midnight. It was just about as good as anywhere else in the neighborhood I've tried, but the crust had a distinct difference in texture. It was okay, but got better (crunchier) when reheated in the oven. Would come back to try other things.

Best $1.50 pizza!! "Um, pizza in space, and it's like, boom! Pepperoni met meteors, and it was so yummy, not yucky!"

I don't really understand the bad reviews here. It's a solid, $2.75 New York slice, and the other stuff on the menu looked pretty good too. I do wish the pizza was in the oven just a *hair* longer because it was a bit floppy, but the flavor was there. Also I went in around 10:30pm so there's a good chance the pizza had been sitting out for a bit, and with that in mind they did wellThe guy inside was super nice and I was in and out within 5 minutes. No complaints on my end.

This place has dropped the ball. I used to come here all the time for gyros but I recently came and the chicken they used was bad. Either bad or not chicken at all. So disappointed.

I came here, cause the place i originally wanted to go to across the street for burgers was cash only. I came in and ordered a gyro platter, which was very generic and terrible. First and foremost they charged me 18 dollars for a seltzer water and gyro platter. I asker if the gyro meat was organic and imported, cause that is ridicules and very over priced in my opinion. Now on to the food! The gyro platter came with rice which was cold and some can string beans. They gave very limited gyro meat, which was a joke. Also i ordered take out and was giving no fork so i had a eat with my hands which was a all around joke. Overall this place is highway robbery for some basic generic greek food.

They dont know how to take orders and u need to watch them make ur food the guy on the grill dont know what between medium, medium well,well done. He cooks everything well done. I requested a double cheese burger no vegetables just cheese and BBQ, I had to Scrape up the cheese off my lid, vegetables on burger, and no sauce he but It on the side he didn't want my bun to become wet from the sauce

This is my second time coming to this restaurant and I have to give it one stars based on how much they like to scheme and mistreat me as a customer. First time the lady tried to charge me an extra $2 in the form of "taxes". I calculated the bill based on the displayed price on the board and I asked her about the extra cost. She replied taxes which doesn't make sense since taxes aren't that high in NY. They also took my order first and the customer behind me ordered the same thing. But they gave the food to the other customer first. When I ask them about it, they just said "suck it up and deal with it" Overall the food wasn't that great and now I will get my pizza from across the street. This is NYC. If you mistreat me as a customer, you lose me as a customer. Oasis Pizza and Gyros really isn't special or unique.

Fries were great. Zeppole exquisite. Gyros terrific and taste that chicken cutlet parmigiana anytime.

My third time ordering out from this pizza store. First and second time it was perfect experience but my third time experience was terrible. My third time experience was last week which I ordered 10inch pizza, sweet potato fries, baked ziti. The pizza turned out to be burnt! I don't know if I ordered on the busiest hour but all my pie were burnt and it was sad experience. I could barely at the pizza and was thrown in the trash. Personally if I were a owner I wouldn't serve that to a customer! I would have remade it if it was burnt. I wouldn't want to lose a customer. The sweet potato fries were just okay. Not crispy at all. The baked ziti was totally bland. That I had to keep throwing hot sauce on top. I really liked their pizza because it was less greasy and less salty but due to my last experience I will have to rethink about coming back.

I try penne la vodka with chicken from different restuarants because its one of mt favorite dishes. And this place is amazing. The employees are nice, they follow covie protocols, everything is freshly made. The pasta was honestly really good. It was $17.75, which is the cost in most places maybe a dollar higher but for that taste, why not. Will be coming back for sure!

I've been here many times late at night after getting off the subway. This is after a long hard night of partying, dancing, doing dips, twirls, splits, hair whipping, and the cunty dip (legs spread out). Yes, the whole shabang. That's what i do!! Sure, my friend has to hold my head up so i don't embarrass myself while vomiting on the sidewalk. But i digress. Anyways, this place has everything anyone could need for comfort food at late hours of the night. Best time to eat and not be seen. They always have greasy, unhealthy deep fried food that just does the trick at 3am. The place doesn't have the most welcoming vibe, but i can understand people saving money and coming from a cost savings perspective versus splurging on a face lift. Construction isn't cheap. I definitely think remodeling the place and making it more welcoming would help boast their revenue. But what do i know, I am just a customer. I would definitely recommend this place to people that want a good grab and go food. The prices are fairly reasonable as well. I hope the pandemic hasn't heavily impacted them. I need this place to make it through for when i have those 3am drama alerts and need their food.

The pseudo sister establishment to Pete's Grill (http://www.yelp.com/biz/petes-grill-sunnyside) hasn't fared as well as many would have hoped. When it was still in construction last year, the anticipation was building for months for what turned out to be another pizza joint with some variable extras. With pizzas, gyros, comfort food, and rotisserie chicken, Oasis seemed like a nice all-in-one spot, but sadly everything has been bland from the get go. I can't hate on the marketing, the 20% grand opening specials were killer and the delivery has been solid for the most part. The biggest issue has been the food, which I'm sure many can agree, looks a lot better than it tastes. Despite rotating on a constant skewer, the rotisserie chicken seems to be lacking seasoning of some sort. If the meat isn't dry, then the skin has little flavor, at least that's what I'm getting from the taste bud report. Sides like the corn on the cob, mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes are also in the same uneventful column and sadly so has been any slices of their pizza. Particularly the sausage and pepperoni have been the worst offenders so far. A surprisingly decent option has been the burgers. Flame broiled (really?) and seasoned well, these things may be Oasis' saving grace. I've also enjoyed their salads from time to time, and the gyros are a touch better than most of what they offer. Could similar offerings at the Halal carts across the street pump out a meaner and tastier product? Also highly likely. I am really hoping they are able to turn things around. It's such a great location and considering the hood is devoid of abundant quality pizza options and could always use more comfort food. And only then will this Oasis no longer be a facade in the Sunnyside desert.

What can I say about this pizzeria!!! I gave them one star because of their shady business practice. Between the hours of 12:00p-5:00p they offer $1 slices of their regular cheese pizzas. I went in there to try a slice, for $1 why not. I think what really annoyed me was that you don't get what you see. I went in thinking that the pizza looked good. I always like to watch the person serving the pizza cut the slices and put them into the oven so I know what I am getting. I ordered 3 slices and waited for him to put them in the oven. To my surprise, he had a pie already all cut up and stored in the bottom of the oven where they stored other food. This $1 slice was smaller and thicker than the pizza on the counter behind the glass. When I told the guy that I wanted a slice that was from behind the glass he told me that those were the regular priced slices???? The pizza sever directed me to who I think was the manager. An older man who proceeded to tell me that the special they were offering were for the smaller slice (which they were hiding in the lower oven). The regular slices behind the glass were full price. You should have both pies laid out so that customers can see what they are getting. I think that if you are trying to gain new customer this was truly not the way to do it. I felt ripped off and I don't trust them. I will "NEVER" go there again. To get great pizza I just have to cross the boulevard.

I had a hankering for a Buffalo chicken calzone and thought why not. When I tell you this not only hit the spot but exceeded my expectations by a lot, I'm not kidding. It was here in about 15 minutes, hot, with two sides of blue cheese. It was SO delicious, chicken crispy still and the perfect amount of cheese. Definitely bangin. Will go back again. No shame in eating the entire thing!

Used to love this place. Since Covid I have ordered delivery a couple times a month. (which even helps the delivery people). Went there last night. Was overcharged by almost $2. When I pointed out the error the guy mumbled "tax" "tax" and walked away. Was outraged by the disrespect. $2.88 is not the tax on $14. Rude, Cheating, Disrespectful.

The place really stands by its name with the best gyros and pizzas I have had in Sunnyside. Their pizzas always have a nice balance of cheese and the sauce. They also do breakfast but I think they stop breakfast sometime before noon. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a breakfast or lunch.

Never order from them again. I ordered the vegetarian shish kebab a house salad and a side of rice. Tahini sauce and hot sauce.They sent me steamed vegetables over the salad and rice when i called them they said this is how they make the shish kebab i told them that in the menu it said there are other vegetables. And they were like :" we sent you this for more flavour " i buy three times a week from them but because of this I will never go there again. Instead of apologizing you are insisting that this is what i ordered?

Don't listen to the haters. This place is good! It's everything you want in a New York eatery, people should get their head out of their butts!! Burger good. Pizza good. Fries good. Haters always gotta hate. They can eat their Starbucks elsewhere!!

I come here for the gyro sandwich. The meat version is delicious. Always freshly warmed, filled w all the add-ins and you can request hot sauce too. I come every time I'm in the neighborhood visiting my family that live nearby. Nothing like it in NJ.

This is probably my favorite place in Sunnyside! I have never ordered delivery, but I have eaten here (before the pandemic) and always order takeout. The staff is very friendly and quick with their orders, I even brought my parents a few years ago and it was their favorite place to eat in the neighborhood. I usually order a pizza or something else every week and I am never disappointed!!

This place sucks. We ordered delivery and asked to pay by card once the pizza got here. The pizza finally got here and they wouldn't accept card payments! Had to go find an atm somewhere in the neighborhood we didn't know just to pay for it. By the time we got the pizza and started eating it was completely cold. WTF, terrible delivery service.

Ordered some food today and they delivered it to the wrong address. They refused to give me a refund or send the food again. Take your money somewhere else! The reviews for this business are horrible for a reason.

This review is based on a delivery. From reading all the reviews i had very very low expectations because they have such bad reviews. But my spaghetti and meatballs was delicious. Tasty and decent portion. On the bright side this was at 1:45 am!

This place is garbage. I order one chicken and they send me a old chicken, taste and smell bad then I called them to let them know and they don't send another chicken or my money back. I loses my money for nothing. Este restaurante es una porqueria, no lo recomiendo.

Came here since it just opened and wanted to see if this could be a new good neighborhood stop to keep on my list. Ordered the Rotisserie Chicken with two sides and 1 biscuit. The chicken was pretty good. Very juicy and flavorful so I would deem it a safe choice for people. The sides I had was mac and cheese and their cole slaw. The mac and cheese tasted just like kraft quality. Dry and instant tasting. Not homemade stuff for sure. The cole slaw tasted like the generic KFC type of slaw (but I actually like that stuff so I was happy with this side). The biscuit was nothing to brag about. It was a tad dry and wasn't buttery enough in my opinion. I did enjoy the green sauce they included with my meal and the staff seemed very pleasant. This location also sells gyro sandwiches, burgers, fried chicken, hero sandwiches and pizza. I may come back to give their gyro or hero's a try. The pizza didn't look extremely appetizing and since their prices were comparable to Sunnyside Pizza across the street I might just stick with the latter for my pizza needs. I noticed that they also sell an assortment of shakes ($3.50) and smoothies ($4.45). I'm not personally a fan of shakes but I might consider trying out their smoothies one day (depending on their size...) As I stated, this place just opened up so perhaps they have some things to change around and update. I hope they do so with their sides because I was a fan of their chicken.

Late dinner pizza craving. On our way home from watching Broadway show and was trying to call our favorite pizza place for pick up but nobody was picking up the call ( I can't blame them as it is 11 pm and in half hour they will be closing.). With that we settled on the first pizza

Overall, we like the food from Oasis, but today we had a rather frustrating experience. We tried ordering online, since we were given a promo code that can only be used in the online portal. Upon getting to the checkout screen, we were unable to place our delivery because there was a repeated error stating our address was incorrect. We tried over and over to figure out how to change our address to make it readable with no luck. I ended up calling the restaurant to see if they could give us the promo over the phone and they wouldn't, the woman on the other line said she would discuss this with her boss later...I don't believe it will ever happen. My suggestion is to not use their online portal and good luck ever getting use from any promo they give.

I just got a Gyro Platter from this place. It is the worst platter I ever got. They just give you the meat and pita bread... that's it! Nothing else on it. No white sauce nothing. Just a word of warning.

I love the chocolate mousse cake for $5 a slice. It is mostly mousse. I get it all the time. I like it better than the chocolate mousse cake slice from Lenny's, which is also good. My husband thinks the gyros here are pretty good. When I'm sick I also like to stop in and get their chicken noodle soup to go. It's much better than canned and much easier than me making a pot of soup myself. The pizza is decent, not the best in the neighborhood and not the worst, I like it. I remember the burger as being tasteless and not juicy, but my husband remembers the burger as being fine. I think I had some fried calamari (or fried shrimp?) from here once and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. I will get that again at some point. The staff has always been very friendly and when I've ordered from grubhub, I've never had a problem with delivery. This place has decent food, is open late and is very convenient for me since it's right outside the subway station and is close to where I live.

We love the rotisserie chicken here, even better than the Peruvian and Colombian chicken restaurants they have in the area. The gyros and souvlakis are also pretty good.

Long story that i will try to keep short, ordered delivery and it was past eta so i called to ask for an update, gentleman on the phone said delivery is running late and i simply said why couldnt you call the customer and let them know, he replied that next time he will and hung up. Delivery guy eventually gets there and i simply told him i know its not your fault but i waited almost an hour and 30 minutes for the food and i will not be giving a tip because obviously i didnt even want to pay for food that was going to take that long. Delivery guy drops the F bomb on me a few times andni just close the door because it was delivered to my place of work. I called Grubhub to let them know what happened because i ordered through Grubhub and called my bank to stop the transaction. I have mo complaints about their pizza because my coworkers and I have ordered from them many times before. I have always got the personal pepperoni pie and i have always been satisfied with the quality of food but i would never order from them again because a paying customer does not deserve to be cursed at.

Great affordable pizza that you can get tiny little 8" pies so if you're super lonely you don't have to order a full sized pie and pretend you're ordering for two. The disco fries are just right too. You know what to do.

Worst customer service i ever had. I ordered my food for delivery 2 hours ago. I called after an hour asking if my food left and the girl on the phone had no idea about it. I called back 30 minutes later at least 5 times and still no answer. 2 hours go by and still no delivery guy and still not answering my calls. I had to then call grubhub to cancel my order. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone especially NOT for delivery !!! Never Again lesson learned good job oasis :)

I get on Grub hub and order all the time. Been ordering from them for years. Amazing food. Late night score every time with these folks!

Don't order for delivery. Your pizza will be carried sideways from the restaurant so it is squished up to one end and inedible.

Well after I bragged to my coworkers that their gyro was the best because I had it before. Disappointed and upset was a understatement first off my coworker order a lamb gyro for it to only be DRY as HELL ! When I said 3 times extra sauce. And I order a sliced pork gyro with extra sauce and onions . What I got was CHICKEN off the stick which was brunt and dry . I will not order again and am not recommended this place .

I have only really had the gyro and fries which is always awesome, fries are crispy which I love . Not sure about the pizza or why the restaurant got low score.

TALK TO YOUR DELIVERY GUYS! If they don't speak English, you need to TRANSLATE WHAT THE ORDER SAYS before you send them out!!!! It takes two seconds! I ordered delivery from here via Seamless last night at 1am. I specifically wrote on the order, "Please DO NOT RING BUZZER! Please DO NOT RING BUZZER!" and left him my cell number again. The food arrived, and the delivery guy rang the very loud buzzer, WAKING my roommate, and then CONTINUED to ring it multiples times until I could walk down four flights of stairs to let him in. When I asked him about it (politely, I might add), he didn't understand what I was saying. Look, if your delivery guy doesn't speak English, you NEED NEED NEED to check your orders and tell him what they say! It takes two seconds to look at the page and translate, "Oh hey, on this one don't ring the buzzer." It's common courtesy in NYC apartment living! You woke up my entire apartment building at 1am! If I could go back and alter the very generous tip I left you, I would. The food was okay, but not good enough to make up for the terrible situation you put me in. I'm writing this here in the hope that someone at Oasis will read it and save a lot of future blunders. But I won't be ordering delivery from here again.

I had a square sicilian pizza slice. The bread was a little tough, and the sauce lacked flavor. The pizza is definitely much better across the street at Sunnyside Pizza. The staff is very friendly, and they have a wide selection of food. The question is not what they have, but what they don't have.

Ordered a pepperoni pizza for delivery and it was really tasty. Not too oily and good ratios of ingredients. Would try again

Whoever works behind the late night counter on Friday nights was extremely rude. I asked him for extra tzatziki and hot sauce but specifically asked not to have the buffalo sauce that sat beside the regual hot sauce. For whatever reason this annoyed him so much that he gave me cream cheese instead of tzatziki and also the buffalo sauce I asked not to have. The girl on the counter was very nice and let me use the bathroom but I was very disappionted when I got home and had a lamb gyro with cream cheese in it.
