San Diego Restaurants That Are Open on Monday Nights - Eater San Diego

"Finding a spot serving pho on Mondays isn’t too hard but you’ll be hard pressed to find one that was also featured on The Food Network. Aside from pho, the menu also includes wings, spring rolls, fried dumplings and a good-sized cocktail menu." - Darlene Horn

OB Noodle House is the spot! The food was amazing, and the atmosphere is super chill — exactly the kind of vibe you want when you’re out. All the staff were really friendly and made the whole experience even better. I highly recommend trying the 1502 Special Pho, the Sizzling Fish, and definitely don’t miss the Garlic Wings. Two rounds of sake and you’re set. Will definitely be back!

We had lunch here to celebrate my grandson's graduation. There were six of us. The food is very good and beautifully plated. The service was excellent!

If you’re coming to this place, I would say you’re good with the appetizers & drinks. I loved the spicy wings, but in my opinion ranch did not go well with the flavor. The wings were garlicky and crispy! I recommend having some type of sweet dipping sauce to enhance the spice of the wings. Michelada was good and pho was alright.

4.5 stars First time here and it definitely won't be my last. We were told the wait would only be about 15 minutes but wound up waiting about 30 minutes which sucked. Seemed like people were going in before us but we patiently waited our turn. We already knew what we wanted since we waited so long and man was the food freaking delicious. I don't know if it was because we were starving or what but those Korean Short Ribs were AMAZING. They were so soft and flavorful, I loved every bite! My friend got the ribs as well and loved them, and another friend got the sizzling fish and she said it was so soft and flaky. I also ordered the house special fried rice. It was good but I guess I wish there was more so I could take some home. It's a plate of it but for $20 thought I would have had enough for a full second meal tomorrow. Our waiter was nice but since it was the end of the night they were politely rushing us out. No worries though, I will still come back for those short ribs!

We’ve been coming here since ‘06! Not many cities have a restaurant that we must go to every time we visit, but OB sure is. We usually go, then swing by for takeout on our way out of town! We haven’t been in a few years and this trip was just as good as any in years past. The fried rice, the Pho, the wings. Amazing. It was made even better by the new(by our timeline) elevated cocktails. The BDE and ‘oven’ drink were outstanding, they would have been great for cocktail bar, but for a restaurant….awesome! It is one of our favorite restaurants anywhere in the world and a must go for those that are visiting SD for the first time. It’s not fancy, just delicious!!

Google
I don’t have enough room here to write all the great things about the OB Noodle House. The staff is top tier. Tim behind the bar is an awesome time. Some of my favorite dishes were the short rib, the house special fried rice, garlic spicy wings, and don’t forget the skrewball cocktails. Make sure to get the OG recipe when you’re ordering! If you’re reading this review, make sure you stop here and enjoy yourself, you won’t regret it. Thanks OBNH!!

Google
First time at On Noodle House was a mixed experience. The 1502 Special Pho was underwhelming, but the Spicy Garlic Wings and Korean Beef Short Ribs were fantastic—crispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The Beef Fried Rice was a standout, with a smoky, charred taste that was spot-on. While the lettuce wraps could use improvement, the highlights made it worth a return visit!

Google
OB Noodle House never disappoints! I used to come here and only order the pho (which is amazing), but now we’re branching out and loving everything. The short ribs are tender and packed with flavor, and the dumplings remind me of Brazilian pastel—just perfect! Great service and a nice ambiance make it even better. Highly recommend trying something new here!

Yelp
Great food, accommodating to their customers and super dog friendly! Love OB noodle house and is always on my list when I visit which is a few times a year.

Yelp
This place has it all. I really loved the food. It is authentic BUT combines the hip ambiance with loud music and a bar. It's the best of both worlds. The pho well done steak and meatballs was seriously so good. The fried rice was out of this world. Customer service is friendly but fast, it's fast paced so they don't sit there and speak to you but they're attentive and the food came out quick Only knock was that the music plays loud, this could be a good or a bad thing, and since one of the sections is right by the door and the restaurant is sorta has an open area it was cold and parking sucks

Yelp
OB Noodle House is absolutely a must-visit if you're in Ocean Beach! Incredible food and stellar service! We started off with the Spicy Garlic Wings, they were amazing! Perfectly crispy, packed with flavor. For my main, I got the Beef and Veggie Dry Chow Fun, and it was delicious. To wash it down, I got the Bikini Blonde Ale, which was light, and refreshing. One of the highlights of the meal was our server. They were super friendly and honest about the menu, even recommending their personal favorites and giving us a heads-up on other items on the menu. It made the experience feel extra welcoming. Not to mention, the service was insanely fast! If I'm ever in OB again, I'll definitely be back at OB Noodle House. Great food, amazing wings, fast service, and awesome vibes--it's everything you'd want in a casual spot. Highly recommend!

Yelp
An order of House Special Fried Rice and an order of Spicy Garlic Wings to go. $41.91 I get it that everything is more expensive now, but this just seems greedy. A nearly $3 increase in less than 12 months. Unfortunately, the higher price doesn't translate to higher quality. In fact, it just isn't as good as years past. The wings aren't as crispy, the rice lacks protein. Four shrimp? That's it? Sadly, I don't see us returning any time soon.

Yelp
Stopped in for dinner last night. For a Monday night, the place was hopping. We had a very short wait for a table, which was a pleasant surprise. Our server was friendly, on her game and informative. She suggested the house special fried rice. Omg. Delicious. Great combination of flavors. Glad I opted for something different. Large portions so I've got plenty of leftovers for lunch!
google avatar

Yelp
* food is always good * cocktails are great *great customer service *vibey ambiance * sometimes there is a long wait time We enjoy coming here, great location close to some great bars and beer co. Parking is sometimes difficult, they have the best peanut butter shots a must try. Garlic spicy edamames are the bomb. You definitely must try especially the tiger shrimp.

Yelp
I don't understand why people think this food is good. It's seriously bad. Everything is overly saucy, overly sugary, and meat quality is garbaaaaj. Also the service is so bad it's actually sort of entertaining. Everyone just gives you attitude with every interaction. I don't understand. The vibe is very much dive bar style scene. Slightly reminiscent of a trucker bar or something like that. Chicken wings sucked, the Korean short ribs were so bad.
google avatar

Michelle K.

Yelp
Craving Asian food but don't want to go to convoy? OB noodle house hits the spot! It's loud and bustling, There's usually a wait but for good reason. Food comes out fast and you'll be happy and fed in no time. Do not sleep on the Spicy Garlic Wings. MUST ORDER! it's crispy, flavorful with a little bit of a kick. Definitely my favorite dish here. My main entree choices are either the beef dry chow fun or house special fried rice. You can never go wrong with either choice. The dry chow fun reminds me of the chow fun in Hong Kong (not to be confused with their Hong Kong chow fun which is saucy and wet) and I love the sweetness of the Chinese sausage in the house fried rice. The sizzling fish fell flat for me this time. It was bland and tasted burnt. I'll stick to my normal orders next time They have a lot of beer choices as well as their infamous PB whiskey shot, a must try if you've never had it before.
google avatar

Yelp
Food is amazing with the pho broth that hits the spot. Must always get the house fried rice and the wings. Well then there is the beer.
google avatar

Yelp
My wife and I ordered the specialty pho (raw steak, brisket, tripe), the Vietnamese egg rolls, and the MSG Martini. Everything was good, no complaints.

Yelp
What a vibe! We meant to go to the other location but maps took us to this one and I'm happy it did! It's so cozy inside. We sat at the tables that look onto the street and it was perfect! The food?! Omg. The best chicken pho I've ever had. The broth was delish from first sip. It was chilly out, so I finished all of the broth and took some of the noodles home for the next day. Tasted just as good. We will def be back!
google avatar

Kylee L.

Yelp
Notice this restaurant just few minutes from our airbnb walking distance. I love pho so I was hesitant to try this spot, but overall I'd come back. We ordered to go which took about 15 minutes, friendly staff. As for the pho, it was flavorful great flavor to the beef broth. We also ordered the eggrolls, and spring rolls which were good as well! Would definitely be back next time we're in ocean beach. Also DOG FRIENDLY

Yelp
So, I think this place is incredibly hit or miss. The service and the food. The first time here I tried the Spring rolls (tofu). They were light and good & the peanut sauce was good, too. For my main I got the Rare Steak Pho w/ veggies (half noodle-still a ton of noodles). The first time I got it, it was super good! It had a ton of flavor and I didn't add any sauces to the soup since it really stood on its own. The second time I came in and got the same, and the broth honestly tasted super watered and I didn't like it at all. The meat in the soup was good both times, but seating was odd both times. (Both the bar & community seating table are terrible since you're so close to the next person & I'm not sure how to eat pho without extending out my elbows! Haha. Their first choice is to shove everyone together before offering real tables and the main bar is still hostess-seated, not first come first serve)

Yelp
Review: OB Noodle House is a gem! The food is absolutely delicious--every dish is packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. But what really sets this place apart is their original Screwball shot. It's a must-try! The unique taste adds a fun twist to the overall experience. Highly recommend stopping by for great food and a memorable drink!

Yelp
Great food and atmosphere! Patio is pup friendly a plus for us! Service is friendly and fast. Food is amazing, make sure you get some wings!

Yelp
very friendly staff, the food is very good. I got the meatballs pho with noodles so tasty. very cool ambiance.. for the price its good considering the location. will come back fosho to try something else.

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this place and it did not disappoint! It definitely is a popular spot so either come on an off time or prepare to wait. We came Saturday lunch and was sat right away at the bar. They are known for the place that started screwball whiskey so we obviously had to get the OG peanut butter shot and it was soo good!! Perfectly creamy and peanut buttery- definitely a must try! The bartender was helpful with picking out the cocktails and they were really on point. He also suggested the three dishes for us that are the most popular. Chicken wings- perfectly cooked and crispy with a great flavor. Fried rice - very delicious but I wouldn't say it was anything super special but did have good flavor. Short ribs- so freaking good!! The sauce is amazing. This place is definitely worth the hype for food and cocktails!!

Yelp
This was on our must do with friends that were in town for our wedding. We liked the vibe a lot, very cool decor and such. There was a cranky dog barking and lunging at another dog outside which was worrisome and it was louder than we imagined but we still had a good time. I got the crispy noodles with veggies and chicken. My noodles were really good, loved the sauce. The chicken however tasted off, almost not done? The lettuce wraps were the highlight. I could eat those everyday!
google avatar

Paul K.

Yelp
Tried OB noodle house on a Saturday lunch, was able to get in without waiting long. They are known for the peanut butter whisky, able to get a shot to taste around $5, was a neat thing to try. For the food can speak to the garlic wings and the short rib. The wings were not my favorite to be honest, overdone and not very flavorful, have had much better. The short ribs were numerous and had good flavor but meat was a little on the tough side. The location is awesome and the staff is excellent. If I were to return would try the pho which seemed like a better option!

Yelp
I met up with my friend here who was in town for a night. I have had food from here before, but I have never dined in. I didn't realize there were 2 locations. I think this location is the original one, but I am not positive. It was Wednesday evening around 6:30pm, It wasn't too crazy busy, we got seated right away. We did circle around for a parking spot for a little while, but not too long. We sat near the front where it's all open, long benches where you sit across from each other. We always like to order family style so people can try a bit of everything. Things we ordered: 1. Spicy Garlic Wings- These are pretty tasty wings, they carry that Viet twist. They have a good mix of a whole lot of different flavors, I also like these since they are 'dry', they are not smothered in any type of wet sauce. I didn't find them spicy at all though. Served with ranch. I would not say they were jumbo wings (especially the flats), the size was ok. 4/5 (knocked off a pt based on size) 2. Vietnamese Crispy Egg Rolls- These were good, pretty much the standard. We were in the mood for these, so they fixed our craving. 3.5/5 3. Hong Kong Chow fun with beef/veggies These are the wide flat rice noodles. They have this and dry chow fun. My sister has had the dry chow fun before but decided to try the other kind. It was very very very sauce and a tad too salty. (We have a pretty high salt tolerance) It was good, but not worth the price. 3/5 4. Korean Short ribs- Hormone Free, Grass Fed American Style Kobe Wagyu Beef Short Ribs marinated with house special sauce. Served with caramelized onions & rice. These were features on the Food network so we decided to try them. They are absolutely delicious. They were a bit salty but just fine with the rice. They were so tender, sweet, and savory. I think they are worth the price. 5/5 5. Pho- Rare steak. I do like that this place had a pretty long PHO menu. I usually always go with the rare steak. I think the broth was not bad, it came with bean sprouts, fresh jalapenos, basil, lime. I thought the noods were ok, I felt like they were thinner than what I'm used to. Thinner is not always bad, but by the time I got to the bottom of my bowl, my noodles were way too soggy. Would I get this again? Probably not. 3/5 Service: 5/5 Staff was on point, we barely had to flag them for help Food: 3.7/5 Ambiance: 4.5/5 (I really did love the whole side being open with fresh air flowing. This place I'm sure is a favorite on summer nights.

Yelp
Heard great things about this place and it did not disappoint! Had the seafood pho, you can add pho for $1 which I think is worth it, and the fried dumplings which were great. About a 10 minute walk to the beach as well.

Yelp
Came here for dinner with Friends on a Friday evening and was surprised there was no wait time to get a seat. Very open Ambience and lovely food! OG Peanut Butter Shot 5/5 - I was surprised how good this morning was! It was like a proper peanut butter drink and not really alcohol. Mind blowing! House Fried Rice 5/5 - Very creative one here with the seafood and the sausage and all of that inside. Also really appreciate how they were vegetables in this, and everything went so well together. I can totally see why it's a house special and one of their most popular dishes! Spring Rolls 4.5/5 - simple, substantial and yum! Give me the peanut sauce on the side which was exceptionally good! Sizzling Fish 4/5 - this one was actually sizzling! Very large portion size here and it came with some rice on the side as well. Fish was cooked perfectly well and had a good seasoning on the outside but the inside felt a little plain cuz it didn't get much of that favoring. Others on the table really enjoyed it but I found it a little plain and compared to the amount of flavor in everything else. It was also quite oily to be honest. Spicy Garlic Wings 5/5 - I think this was my favorite item among everything else on the menu! Proper crispy on the outside and still didn't feel too oily or anything. Really good amount of spicy flavor and quite a large amount of Wings on the plate as well. Game on a bed of lettuce on the play it and that vegetable actually went well with the spiciness of the wings. 10 on 10 recommend this! Pan Seared Crispy Egg Noodles 2/5 - This was a very meh dish. We got the chicken and vegetable one and to be honest there was not as much chicken in there as expected. Decent amount of vegetables though so we do appreciate that, but overall the noodles themselves are just not as flavorful and it felt like a large slump on a plate.

Yelp
Omg the chicken wings! I normally can't order wings cause of my gluten allergy, but the waitress reassured me that they were safe for celiacs. The wings laid across a bed of fresh cabbage and some gluten free ranch sauce. Not only were the wings scrumptious, they were also mild, not spicy at all. Best wings I've ever had! The chicken pho had a tint of cinnamon, perhaps? Nothing some siracha sauce couldn't fix. Decent portions and prices. Would return just for those wings!

Yelp
We had a long layover in San Diego so we decided to be spontaneous and leave the airport. We just got back from Puerto Vallarta so of course we were missing some Asian food. Looked on Yelp and found this spot, little did we know it was starred on the food network! We met some locals and they told us this is the right spot! They recommended the whisky peanut butter shots which sound so gross but $5 a shot, hell yeah! It was actually a really delicious combo!! Definitely worth the shot! We ordered the famous bowl of pho and it was pretty good! We also ordered the famous chicken wings, that was really good, MAKE SURE YOU ASK FOR A SIDE OF CHILI OIL (locals secret recommendation). And lastly we ordered the fish over rice sizzling plate (6/10), this was okay... we could pass on this, not a favorite). Overall, this place was packed and walking by it you would never think it's an Asian restaurant, it looks like a straight bar. So many people and it was chaotic but we did not mind it. You're allowed to bring your pets here too!
google avatar

Maureen J.

Yelp
Service was great here! We were seated right away for a party of 11 at opening time. The food was good and the place was decent. The prices were pretty decent as well!

Yelp
My bf's favorite spot to take visitors. The pho is good, the chicken is yummy, and so is the friend rice. It's a great atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. The service is good

Yelp
Looking for a chill spot after a day at Seaworld and stumbled across this gem on Google. First off, the vibes were chill but energetic, and we were greeted by friendly staff right away. Little did we know this was a spot featured on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive ins, and Dives, which is kinda fun! I forget the name now but I got the noodles with tofu and veggies and savory sauce. TMI but I was going through a rough time and not eating much, but a couple bites in convinced me to eat a real meal lol. Would love to try again.

Yelp
We were in town for dog event and wanted to try this place. Friendly patio seating with your dogs is a great. However, their Chinese/vietnamese cuisine were lacking flavor. The tofu and veggie egg rolls were so bland and just plain. Even when presented to the table it was disappointing. It just literally lettuce and tofu. The color as well as flavor were bland. The crispy Vietnamese egg roll was much a tad bit improvement from the tofu egg roll. But def not fresh. Comes in 4. Hot when arrived. The pan fired noodles was also lacking flavor. Not much tofu. More like abundance of water chestnuts. And a couple broccoli. Severs were nice. I saw people ordered the pho and it came in a smaller bowl than usual Vietnamese pho places. I wanted to order the pho but after tasting what we ordered I passed on that. We left very disappointing. The serving size is half of what you would get from a traditional Chinese or Vietnamese restaurants esp in LA.

Yelp
You know a restaurant is going to be good when it has the longest line in the area! We started with the 12 piece spicy garlic wings ($19.95). This is a must when you come to OB Noodle House! My favorite drink was the Painkiller (Skrewball PB Whiskey, RumHaven coconut rum, creme de coconut, orange and pineapple Juice, cinnamon, sugar, and nutmeg). This was delicious and came in a cute parrot mug. For birthdays, you can get a free sake bottle. Their rule is that the birthday person must consent and that they must chug it. The whole restaurant gets really into it and chants. Come here for a good time with friends!
google avatar

Yelp
The food is so good. The wings are one of my top faves in SD- the ranch that it is served with is heavenly. Go for the food, stay for the rock music :) loved it. The restaurant overall is very dark tho. Servers are awesome.

Yelp
A classic recommendation for OB food places - and it lives up to the hype. It's good casual spot for a meal: a combination of a sports bar and restaurant with music and windows open most of the time. There's usually a long line - but I came at around 1:30 and managed to get a seat for lunch. They have a great lunch special for taco Tuesday and Thursday: you get an Asian style pork belly taco (a bao taco fusion) along with the pho. The bao taco was great - nice fluffy bread, plenty of filling and a delicious sauce/dressing. I went with their OB Special (x-large) pho and it was excellent. As the name implies, it's a very large portion: I ended up taking some to go. If you want a large lunch/dinnner, this dish is for you. The brisket and tripe were especially was excellent - and they give you plenty of meat. The broth was also rich and flavorful and not too salty.

Yelp
It has been a few years since I have gone to OB Noodle House. Somehow it popped into my head, and I followed. Such a quaint and unique noodle house and saki bar. Semi indoor outdoor experience. Some communal tables which can be a lot of fun chatting with some of the unique customers. Service is friendly and attentive. The food, boy it hard to recommend a particular dish because I haven't had a bad meal. For this return trip I was reminded about two of my favorite go tos. Their lettuce cup chicken and their spicy chicken wings. Both of these items are on their appetizer menu. The spicy chicken wings are available in 6pc or 12 pc. I strongly suggest getting the 12pcs. If you can't finish them there, just grab a to go container because the flavor is so unique and interesting, I promos if you have them for lunch, you will want to finish them for dinner! They are just as yummy cold. The lettuce wraps are slightly smaller than I remember, but we did share the plate and it was just enough to share. Flavor amazing! So glad I remembered how much I enjoy this place. It won't be long until I will be spotted there again!

Yelp
Great casual dinner spot in San Diego. Super fun party music (it is a bit loud in there, I liked it but worthy to note if you're noise sensitive). The chicken teriyaki was DELICIOUS! Normally I feel like teriyaki chicken is quite mediocre, but this was something that I would order again and again. I did not order the fried rice but tried another member of the dining party's food and it was too oily for my taste, so I'd skip on that. The party also really enjoyed the garlic wings! Service was fast and friendly! The drinks were also delicious, I got the BDE and really enjoyed it. Overall quick, fun, and yummy.

Yelp
OB Noodle House has been on my to-visit list for a while now because the business has consistently been rated as having some of the best chicken wings in town. This OG location is not as deep into the OB neighborhood as its newer sibling restaurant. The curbside parking situation was arguably worse though because of more neighboring residences. The inside setup was a bar and grill as opposed to a traditional noodle house that you would find in the Convoy District. The two-sided menu was filled with Asian-inspired cuisine. The categories included twenty varieties of pho, rice vermicelli noodles, pan-seared egg noodles, Vietnamese BBQ, teriyaki grill, fried rice, sizzling plates, and two styles of chow fun. Clearly, the kitchen had skilled chefs to make such a diverse range of items. From the appetizers, I had to choose the Spicy Garlic Wings. My entree was the Beef and Vegetables Dry Chow Fun. The wings came as six pieces versus a dozen because I wanted to save room for the noodles. They were described as "jumbo wings marinated with garlic and spices; served with ranch." The positives were the strong garlic flavor and the crispiness from being fresh out of the fryer. The negative was the size of each wing. If these were considered "jumbo wings", then shrinkflation has reduced the heftiness of the chickens. The portion size of the chow fun was also not impressive for the price. Dry soft wide rice noodles were stir-fried with bean sprouts, green onions, Chinese broccoli, and eggs. More pieces of beef and additional noodles should have filled the plate. The flavor was on point though, and both dishes arrived quickly to my spot at the bar. My OB Noodle House experience was at a mediocre three-star level.

Yelp
Very delicious wings and kind service. They quickly sat and served us which was very appreciated!

Yelp
I was at Mike Hess and stopped over here for some lunch to bring back to the brewery. I ordered the char grilled shrimp vermicelli however when I opened the box it was steak. Not what I ordered, still tasty, but didn't want to wait an extra 20 mins to fix the order. My cousin had the fresh spring rolls in which she liked the tofu. Really like that there is indoor and outdoor space.
google avatar

Brittany K.

Yelp
I got the OB special pho and it was perfect for a chilly evening. The spicy garlic wings are the perfect thing to share, they're crispy and have a great dipping sauce.
google avatar

Yelp
If you're a wings fanatic like I am, please please PLEASE try their famous SPICY GARLIC WINGS! I was introduced to their wings by a born and raised San Diegan that swore by their Spicy Garlic Wings, and was NOT disappointed! Will you smell like garlic the next morning? Yes Is it worth it? HELL YEAH! If I could only pick one food to eat for the rest of my life, I'd pick the Spicy Garlic Wings from here, or the Buffalo Wings from Bay Hill Tavern!
google avatar

Justin F.

Yelp
We stopped here to get some pliny the younger but enjoyed the wings as well. This place always has an excellent beer selection. Got a sour for my wife and finally got to sample Pliny The Younger since it wasn't publicly announced. The environment was bustling and the staff was busy, but the service was still great. Parking is difficult in the area so be prepared to walk.

Yelp
With a bit of hesitancy and anticipation, I had to try OB! Sure but what does Guy Fieri really know about good Asian food?, I ask myself. My verdict is that we have a mixed bag but I'd try more to make a final decision. The Short Ribs were great, even as a takeout dish. Tender, sweet and a bit of a chew for the Asian in me. Over a bed of onions and drippings (ok some oil too) that I wanted to soak up with the white rice. The Seafood Fried was more disappointing despite some colleagues' reviews that brought me here in the first place. Flavor was ok but perhaps a bit too much oil in the fry plus then lacking the distinct seasoning and wok hei of a great dish. Add the pieces of surimi and 6 medium shrimp without the sear! Takeout pickup is by the outdoor dining patio entrance. Ordering from this location is by phone. I really appreciated their callback when I couldn't reach them the first time. I'll want to try their wings but would need to eat there for want of the crispy crunch. And possibly try their Pho or Chow Fun or Rice dishes. Next one. Enjoy!

Yelp
Service was friendly. Food was delicious. Seafood pho - amazing. Broth was amazing. My only critique was the small amount of sprouts and basil provided with it. Crispy noodles were SO yummy, sauce was perfect. Nothing extra was needed. Chicken lettuce wraps also hit the spot. Bar scene was cool to hang out at while the waiting for our table. They had some fun cocktails. I would TOTALLY come back.

Yelp
Food was excellent and our servers were super cool. I really enjoyed my beef and vegetable dry chow fun. The chili oil on the side was a great idea -- definitely flavorful and not too spicy. My party and I were initially at the bar but after a drink or so, we moved up the waitlist and were seated quite promptly. Despite it being a tad rainy and the restaurant bustling, everyone who helped us was so kind and inviting. I'm glad our server told us about the chili oil and the popularity of the dry chow fun. So yummy!

Yelp
When I was in college frequenting Ocean Beach, they didn't have food like this. I have to admit that it was seeing this place on Triple D made me aware of the restaurant (Don't judge). They also identify the dishes on the menu that were highlighted on the show. The restaurant has a laid back feel. I especially like the picnic bench table sharing. Great for people watching. it wasn't super packed on a Sunday night but there was definitely a flow of people. They have a lot of beer on tap, but was driving. I think their prices were pretty reasonable. The server and hostess were friendly. Tried their house fried rice and the pork and vegetable chow fun. The food came out exceptionally fast, which was great. The food had great flavor. The fried rice had a nice shuttle spice to it. I definitely will come back and try their appetizers.

Yelp
This place is a must try! Came here with some friend while in San Diego and absolutely loved it. We heard about this place on Reddit and knew we had to try it out due to the high reviews. We got here at around 6pm on Friday night and we were seated right away. The server was really nice. We had a fly fall into one of our drinks and the server brought us a whole new drink and didn't charge us for it. The wings were the highlight of the meal! It was so delicious and cripsy. Next time I'm back in ocean beach, I'll definitely stop by again.

Yelp
Ambiance is very chill, good selection of music and overall a clean environment. Our server was attentive and food service was good, came out pretty quick. 3 stars because although we thought the pho and fried dumplings were good, the rice had a very burnt taste to it. Serving size for all dishes was good. The people in front of us ordered the Korean short ribs and they looked very good so we will be back to try those. Overall, I think we'll be back when in the area and craving a good pho soup.
