Google
My first experience at a noodle bar, it was great! Yummy food, fun location, and seemed like a local favorite. Little bit pricey but I got two meals out of it so it was worth it. Definitely worth the stop!

Google
A+ everything! Super delicious food. All soy sauce used here is gluten free. Plentiful gluten free options with a very well marked menu. Super delicious, huge portions, and a very cozy atmosphere.

Google
Great service and it’s cute inside. But unfortunately the food is really bland. Even though the menu seems like it would be great . It’s very overpriced for what it is and doesn’t seem authentic.

Have had a great experience each time I order take out. The food is always hot, tasty and fresh! Seaweed salad and dumplings are a favorite choice.

Google
I have driven and walked past this restaurant multiple times and finally stopped by. The building used to have a small Italian pizzeria here. Fellow Google Maps reviewer Olga Shestopalova gave this noodle 🍜 🍻 bar a good review so I thought 🤔 I would check it out. Service was very friendly. The staff were smiling 😁 and I was checked on multiple times. The only issue was that I wasn't asked if I wanted anything to drink, though I was given complimentary water 💦. I was not offered dessert after my meal. The menu is small but I find it very helpful because it takes me less time to decide on what I want. I had the Pad Thai 🍜 with chicken 🐔 and the Vegetable Dumplings. Both were good 👍! I was given both chopsticks 🥢 and a fork. It is pricey but with today's inflation and it is downtown Exeter I can understand the cost. Online ordering is available. The place was busy and even the online orders were numerous. Window 🪟 seating and bar 🍻 are available. I recommend a visit especially if you are in the mood for noodles.

Google
We came by with a group of 5, there were lots of options so we were able to find something we each wanted. We quickly ordered and the food came out in about 10 minutes. The portion sizes were good and we even had enough for left overs. I’d recommend a student discount as it adds up pretty quickly for those on a budget. Recommend if you’re in town.

Google
Nice little place, cozy, a few tables and bar seating. The staff was extremely patient and helpful, explains the menu and warning us if there's were problems with the ingredients ( food allergies). The crab Rangoon, Pad Thai and Remen special were all great, enough for 2 meals.

Google
It was our first time at this location. From the start the host and server were amazing once we received our drinks they were great. The food was the best we've had in a while we can't wait to go back to enjoy more of the menu.

Yelp
With the cooler weather, I was definitely in the mood for something broth-based. This one place definitely hit the spot just right. First and foremost, please know that if there is crab rangoon to be had, I will have it. This was the first in looooong time that wasn't just a cream cheese wonton; it actually had crab! I would have filled up on just these alone. Though we also ordered the scallion pancake, which was also delicious. I got the Wonton and Egg Noodles. If I lived near this place and needed something hot and straightforward while under the weather, it would be this. The wontons were delicious and the clear broth was a great base to spice up with some chili oil. There was also plenty of it that I had leftovers! The prices were reasonable and the service was great. I'm so happy I chose this place for lunch and will definitely return when I'm back in the area.

Yelp
Some of the best ramen I have had in New Hampshire. Quality broth! Service was 10/10. I got a boba tea and a duck dish as well and couldn't be happier. Also got a cute little treat after as a "merry Christmas" from the staff. The decoration is light, fun, but also warm and cozy. I had never been to Exeter before and, it is not close for me, but I will definitely go there again for the cute downtown and the great food at Oba!

Yelp
Solid food and drinks. Extremely nice staff. Cute ambiance. The space can be tight but it's also because they are pretty popular full! A bit tricky with an infant (but that's almost everywhere) but tried their best to accommodate and even made us non-marinated steamed veggies for our baby. Thank you for your kindness.

Yelp
Delicious pad Thai with roasted duck - what a treat to see this on a menu! Lovely little noodle restaurant with a broad selection of offerings from ramen to wonton soup, and everything in between. The place is very small so plan well, or be prepared for a short wait. The staff is excellent and has great recommendations to help you make up your mind. Food was piping hot and delicious.

Yelp
I had the chive cakes. So good! I love how they have so many items for vegans! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
My first experience having authentic Ramen! It was really good, super fresh, and affordable. The ambiance is bright yet cozy. Strong drinks!! Also, the dumplings were AMAZING!

Yelp
Very good asian noodle soups, I got the Beef noodle soup, which was excellent with very tender and tasty beef, the broth was really good too. My companions had the duck noodle soup and drunken noodles, both were also very good. The facility is small but nice.

Susan A.

Yelp
Crispy duck noodle bowl was great. Service was very attentive. Ambiance? Nothing special.

Yelp
I arrived here about 40 minutes before closing and was able to be seated for dinner. I was really hungry and feeling little weak as I had just had a 90 minute massage that busted me up. I found free parking right in front of the restaurant which was pretty lucky. The store is pretty small and cozy. Most customers I saw entering were either picking up take out or buying boba drinks. I looked at the menu and the beef noodle soup stood out and I got a side order of gyoza to go along with my meal. The service was pretty fast and friendly. I think I saw a total of three waitresses coming to my table for various reasons. The beef noodle soup came out first and looked and tasted really good. The only thing I was confused about is the amount of noodles with the soup dishes in this area. I have seen most places load the soups with meat but hardly give any noodles which is opposite from the same dishes back home in Hawaii. The gyozas were good and very much like back home with a good sauce to accompany it. Overall, the food and service was really good. The prices were a little on the high side but not outrageous in this day and age. I will definitely try this place again if I am in the area and craving noodles.

Kyle M.

Yelp
This place is the place for ramen. Soup is clean not oily at all. And it doesn't linger on the palate. Just be mindful that they can go a little heavy on the fish sauce when making their pad Thai dishes so if that smell doesn't appeal to you ask for no fish sauce ;)

Yelp
Yum! I took the advice of many previous reviewers and ordered the beef noodle soup. On a cool rainy day it hit the spot, starting with a deep inhalation of the aroma of the richly spiced broth. Lots of tender beef, with NO gristle or fat. My husband had the Drunken Noodles and loved them. Friendly service.

Yelp
First time visit at lunch in Downtown Exeter. Dark, but kinda cool vibe interior. Friendly attentive service. The food is just fabulous. Cold salad arrived cold, hot food arrived hot. Fresh ingredients and beautifully spiced. So glad we checked it out and will definitely be back.

Yelp
Super delicious soup, but quite spicy! We've gotten takeout twice, and the first time we tried medium spicy (and we have quite the tolerance) and it was very intense. The ramen and beef noodle soups are my favorites. The takeout is preserved very well as they separate the liquid from the solids. Will continue to order from here!

Yelp
Who doesn't love a good bowl of Ramen or an awesome noodle dish? This place has it covered with a modern take on classic Thai dishes. I've been here several times now, and lots of takeout during the height of the pandemic, and the food/service is consistently good. I like to start with the shrimp chips, some of the biggest and tastiest I've ever had. Ramen, Dang Dang noodles are all good. Tonight I tried the BBQ Pork Sen Pak which was really tasty. I really need to visit more often and work deeper into the menu as everything I see coming out of the kitchen looks great. Plenty of good choices in Exeter, so be sure to put this on the list when in town.

Yelp
food is amazing if you like powerful flavors, i'm good friends with management and waitstaff all of which are excellent people. would've given more than 5 stars if i could've. good price for a meal that will definitely not require dessert to feel completely satisfied. all in all it is perfect, and i am a very picky eater who has been in the industry.

Jon H.

Yelp
Takes forever to receive an order. 30 minutes from close time and they would not take our order.

Yelp
Delicious drunken noodle bowl with udon noodles. Cozy space, quick friendly service and in middle of beautiful Exeter.

Yelp
Wow, what a delicious meal! I had been wanting to try to this place out for a while, and decided to give it a shot on a rainy/cold day when I was craving something warm and comforting. I ordered the Oba Ramen and it was so good! Broth was spicy and flavorful. I loved the shrimp tempura. It was such a good meal. Cannot wait to go back!!
google avatar

Yelp
Love the food and everyone is so friendly. We can't get enough of the pad Thai. Thank you!

Frank P.

Yelp
So I made the drive to check out Oba and I was definitely not disappointed. Everything was delicious and the customer service was impeccable. I particularly liked the sweet chili sauce with the crab Rangoons and the pork in my ramen was amazing. I cannot wait to go back, enjoy.

Marie S.

Yelp
The service was great, everyone was very pleasant. It's small but we were there alone. Missed the lunch crowd. Ordered crab Rangoon, gyoza, scallion pancakes and the roasted duck noodle soup. Amazing. If you are hooked on ramen, like me, you'll love this place. The restaurant is immaculate and the rest room was very clean. Give it a try, I am sure you'll love it too.

Yelp
Our favorite lunch spot! The service was amazing and the food piping hot! What a special gem in the heart of Exeter!

Yelp
Been wanting to try this place for a while now , and we finally did tonight. Place was packed when we walked in. The smell was amazing . Staff was friendly. Food was amazing . Appetizers were on point and the main was great . Definitely coming back here and will recommend

Yelp
Excellent food! Clean, friendly environment. Fresh and fast. I was a walk-in order. My wait time was approximately 15 minutes for two beef bowls. And prices are reasonable.

Mary C.

Yelp
I LOVE OBA!! I go here frequently. Their staff is so sweet! I recommend litterly everything on their menu. 10/10

Cindy O.

Yelp
Cute and clean little spot, friendly service and a delicious bowl of veggie soup, thoughtfully crafted with daikon, radish and a yummy asian green i think called yu choy. And sweet potato noodles. Healthy and yummy I will definitely be back.

Yelp
We are visiting from Los Angeles where we have many choices for Asian noodles. That being we had the Oba noodles, beef noodles & scallion pancake- all of which were delicious!!!! Exeter is very lucky to have a restaurant with many different types of Asian noodles. They have such a robust menu!!! We did also try their boba milk tea, while it wasn't the best we've had, it was better than some places we have tried in California. On another note, we called for delivery and it was the fastest service I have ever experienced. They were friendly over the phone & during the drop off. This is a place I will look forward to every time we visit!!!!!

Yelp
This review is long overdue. My husband and I have been eating here for the past year and a half. The restaurant itself, although small, is clean and the food is always great. This review is for their vegetarian/vegan dishes. I've eaten their veggie Pad Thai, Thai noodle soup with tofu and now during my most recent visit, their Drunken Noodle with soy nuggets. Whenever we are in town, we always make time to dine here.

Harwant S.

Yelp
Cute little restaurant. Phenomenal taste and food served really nice and hot with wonderful presentation. Green chili bowl was amazing! I had spice level 2 which is spicy but not burn your mouth level spice. Service was also wonderful. Quite honestly, this was one of the best noodle bars I have been to.
google avatar

Fred B.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick lunch around 1 PM. They were quiet. Fast friendly service. Sat and the bar and had what I guess was the house ramen. OBA Ramen. $14. Tasty. Check out the photo. Will definitely be back.
google avatar

Yelp
Oba is consistently delicious and they have their take out process down to an art. The staff is friendly. Food is amazing. I love the crispy bok choy and pork buns, the duck dishes are great too. Edited to note that their Covid protocols feel safe. Clean pens, touch free pickup.
google avatar

Yelp
Little place but some good food and great boba. My pork was very dried out but everything else was great.

Yelp
Exeter now has a legit ramen spot. Pros: Ramen broth flavoring is best I've had in NH. Great flavor overall, they have spicy chili flakes you can add as well. Chashu pork flavor was pretty good. Attentive service and that's truly interested in what you thought of meal flavors. Cons: Really tight seating inside, limited menu. I think this place deserves 4.5 stars - with a bit more variety in the menu and as they expand their company hopefully they can tighten prices a little - $16 for ramen is a bit on the pricey side. This place will be our go to ramen take out spot in the future.

Thomas S.

Yelp
I have only tried the ramen and karaage at this restaurant. The karaage is excellent and the ramen is good. If you're a ramen connoisseur, then this place won't provide you with what you need, but if you like a bowl of ramen every so often, this is definitely worth a try. I haven't tried anything on the rest of the menu, but have been told it's very good. If you like spicy foods, this is the place to go.

Yelp
We went for lunch yesterday. Very cute restaurant. Bright colors and well maintained. Everyone was so friendly. Out server Ann you could see smiling through her mask. The service was wonderful, perfectly timed. We had the beef soup. OUT OF THIS WORLD. So favorable and tasty. The beef was so tender, and the noodles were perfect. This is a must try spot. Cannot wait to go back and try something else.

Yelp
First timer 5! We'll call that the NOBAR GARCIAPARRA! Great new addition to downtown Exeter! Fresh ingredients and excellent hospitality. Beef in the Beef Noodle Soup was very tender, broth was fresh, veggies had a delectably delicate crunch and the cilantro was supa dupa fresh! Don't sleep on the Thai Tea! See you again soon, OBA! P.S. logo work and neon is fantastic
google avatar

Yelp
Fabulous Noodle bar, a one of its kind in the Seacoast region. Flavors are well balanced, not too salty. Portions are perfect and the dishes were served quickly. The owner is very involved on the floor and is highly interested in quality of food and service. The seating is tight but cozy. Large windows make the small space feel larger. The view of the downtown lights adds to the ambiance.
google avatar

Yelp
I ordered for the first time from Obu and was not disappointed. The crispy bok choy was very flavorful and the vegetable green curry with medium spice was outstanding! It was a wonderful culinary experience!

Yelp
Wandering around a surprisingly busy with pedestrian and car traffic downtown Exeter and I stumbled upon Oba. I can't pass up ramen and they also had bubble tea (boba at oba - made me laugh) so I went in and checked out the menu. One thing is they are serving inside at tables and have the check-in station for ordering out right at the front close to the door in a relatively tiny space so it was really packed and made me feel a bit claustrophobic. There were also teens racing in and out, repeatedly opening the door, pushing and just generally being loud that was allowed by the restaurant despite the fact it didn't seem like they were ordering anything that really made it difficult to wait in an already cramped space. The food took quite awhile and seemed to come out with several other take-out orders. I ordered a ramen with pork and a taro boba. Neither was particularly great. The boba tea was good at first and the boba itself was really nice but it wasn't mixed that well. The more I drank the more it tasted almost grainy and I had to abandon the taro part and just go for the nice boba beads halfway through so sort of a waste at $5. The ramen wasn't that tasty. In fact, it was pretty bland. The pickled egg was interesting - never had one quite that color. The cabbage wasn't cooked nearly enough and really took away from the meal. The pork was good and there was a nice amount of noodles and bamboo but with the bland broth and crunchy cabbage it just wasn't for me. Glad I gave it a shot because you never know with ramen if you're about to find the next awesome must visit all the time place but this wasn't it for me.
google avatar

Andrea G.

Yelp
Best Pork Buns around, for sure! I went for a quick new lunch spot just to try it out as not many places have the pork buns around here. I will definitely be bringing my husband back for a date!
google avatar

Peter G.

Yelp
I tried OBA for the first time today. I ordered the Thai Noodle Soup with Roast Duck (which wasn't one of the choices, but I asked for and received it), with a side of hot sauce. The Good: The duck was tasty with a little seasoning. The noodles were good and plentiful. Everything was fresh. Clean and light food, easy on the stomach. The Not As Good: The broth was very bland, which could have been offset by the hot sauce I ordered, but they forgot to give it to me. The amount of vegetables was disappointing - not the healthy portions shown on the menu pictures, scallions almost non-existent. Conclusion: I will go again and try different menu options because I love this type of food, and sometimes it takes a few tries to figure out how to order from a new restaurant.

Yelp
We have not been doing much ordering of take-out during Covid-19, but, the places we have ordered from have generally been dissappointing and not scratching that itch of quality food I don't have to make. OBA Noodle Bar was SOOOOO NEEDED. The flavors were punchy and sour and spicy and savory where needed. The service was super friendly and when you walk in they had everything organized for a low/no touch pickup even with a jar for sanitized pens and used pens. The Pork/Ramen dish and udon Drunken Noodles were solid - the chicken wings were cooked perfectly, the cucumber salad was a great balance of flavors....We'll be back!!
google avatar

Jeremy K.

Yelp
Had an awesome meal here! The scallion pancake is probably the best in the area! Cucumber salad was also tasty and not as spicy as it looks. The broth in the OBA ramen was very flavorful and everything exactly what you would expect in a premium ramen. Staff were amazing and attentive! Food came out quickly and drinks were always topped off. The menu is full of so many interesting and unique options, I'm sure I'll be back soon!

Amanda N.

Yelp
I had the Japanese pork curry dish. Flavor was mild, but fairly tasty. The pork was wicked dry, flavored well but so hard to chew. The chopsticks broke through the overcooked carrots and potatoes and the ramen was all tangled up and difficult to separate. I know people are always recommending this place and I may give it another shot, but the food is really not that great thus far (we had multiple appetizers), so if someone else wants to go maybe I'll try it. Really disappointed it wasn't good.

Heather C.

Yelp
Amazing! The Crab Rangoon was the best I've ever had. We got the OBA Ramen and the Duck Noodle Soup. Both were delicious. The spiciness runs a little on the spicy side so keep that in mind. The service was quick and friendly. Definitely recommend!
google avatar

Adam D.

Yelp
Fantastic noodle bar! The beef noodle soup and drunken noodles are incredible. Must eat here.
google avatar

Cynthia F.

Yelp
So delicious and worthy of every star. I got the beef noodle soup and iced Thai tea with boboa. The beef was very tender and the broth was flavourful. The tea was exactly as expected.
google avatar

Foley E.

Yelp
Won't lie, I hated this place my first time coming. Took 3 hours for delivery before I had to go get it and the food sucked. HOWEVER, they gave us like 30 bucks in gift cards (which will get you a meal for one at least). Tried it again about 6 months later and it was AWESOME. Green curry is spicy as hell, but delicious. Furthermore the next time I picked up there it did take an hour to get my food. But next time they remembered me and gave me my drink for free. The staff are so nice and the food is really good, all the problems they have are due to nothing more than a shortage of staff which is nothing I can really hate for. Would recommend.

Renee R.

Yelp
Always Miss Chinese food ,they are Thai but taste similar. Delicious, good service. 推荐!

Jennifer K.

Yelp
I can't say enough about this little gem. They do everything well- service, cleanliness, food quality and fun drinks. I have been there multiple times and enjoyed all my meals.
