Nelson is awesome! He taught so well and made us feel totally confident in making our wedding bands it was such a cool experience! He starts you out practicing on silver to make a rough draft since it’s easier to work on to hone your skills and then you do the gold, and he keeps working with you to make sure it fits perfect! He even re-set a pair of diamond stud earrings in gold for us super last minute. He does amazing work and he has the coolest projects. He goes above and beyond to make the experience perfect. It was a pleasure to meet Nelson the goldsmith behind all his wonderful creations. I was absolutely impressed by his ingenious technique, his curiosity to knowledge and the story behind each piece of jewellery. And he is an amazing photographer too!

Before getting married, my husband and I met with Nelson to make our wedding rings. Neither of us had any experience with metal work but Nelson made sure to explain everything in a way we could understand. We started off the morning by practicing different techniques. Once we felt comfortable with these techniques, we used them on the medal for our rings. He was a very patient teacher and taught us everything we needed to know in order to make our beautiful rings. Knowing they are one of a kind and that we made them is something I'll always treasure. I have Nelson to thank for that!

I have gone to Nelson for years for custom designs, repairs, and purchases. He is always a pleasure to work with and extremely professional, fair, and great at what he does. He is very knowledgeable, and if he can’t do something he has an excellent network of other professionals surrounding him who can. Nelson is also willing to do all kinds of projects that other jewelers would not touch. Would give him more stars if I could.

Nelson made me a ring to match one that had been in my family for three generations. I used our original ring to propose, and Nelson created one from scratch to use as a wedding band with it. Fantastic job! Came in at budget, looks great, and it only took a few weeks from start to finish. I'd like to add that he would call and e-mail with updates so I knew he was working on my project. If you're looking for custom jewelry in the Devner area, you really have to visit with Nelson Giesecke, who is Object Design Studio. Nelson not only works with jewelry, he also crafts elaborate custom watches, creates all types of custom metal work (he created a custom chess set for my husband which I commissioned as a present for our 25th anniversary), and does restorations as well. While Nelson will put his creativity to work for you, he will also work with you (as closely as you'd like) on any project and translate your ideas into pieces of jewelry/art that are as original as they are stunning. My husband happened upon Object Design when we first landed in Denver over 13 years ago-- and Nelson has become our go-to designer for every and no occasion. (Particularly when I happen upon a loose stone I like and scoop it up with no idea of what I'll do with it.) Just one example-- my father absentmindedly doodles all the time. I took one of the doodles to Nelson, and he created a pin using the design for my mother. She loves it-- and I can't think of anywhere else in Denver where a jeweler would take on that type of project; Nelson jumped at it enthusiastically.

Nelson Giesecke is an extremely skilled master craftsman of both jewelry and custom designed metal objects. He is easy to work with and from years of experience brings a lot of innovative ideas and craftsmanship to your project. He has made our wedding rings, numerous necklaces, bracelets and pins for us. We often get get complements on his work. We highly recommend him.

Started to research making my Fiancée’s ring for months even going so far as to price equipment out. I was glad I found Nelson before getting in to deep. I spoke with him several times before my Fiancée and I meet with him to discuss materials and design (cut from a tree). Neither of us had any experience with making jewelry but Nelson made sure to explain everything. We starting in the morning and were finished before supper time. Nelson is a very patient teacher and taught us everything we needed to know. This is an experience that we will remember for the rest of our lives. My now husband and I went to Nelson's to make our wedding rings after our engagement. This was one of the BEST decision we had made during our wedding planning! We got to visit the beautiful state of Colorado & have an amazing experience making our own custom designed rings as fiancés! Nelson's studio gives a cozy intimate space to work in, and he gave us great guidance as it was pretty much our first time working with metal. He was wonderful to chat and to learn from! Really enjoyed our time there & will definitely recommend going to him if you want to have an unique experience making your own wedding rings- (plus is much more cost friendly than just going to a store picking it up!)

My fiance and I attended a ring design workshop. The workshop itself, and the master jeweler we worked with (Nelson Giesecke) was fantastic! I cannot recommend this enough!! We started with a single piece of white gold (pictured) form which we created both rings. Nelson first gave us some silver to practice with so that we could get a feel for working with metal (we have NO experience with this). We got to try out the different patterns which the small hammers create as we wanted a hammered look. We then moved on to metal for our rings. The entire process was a lot of fun and took about 5 hours. We also never felt stressed or concerned. When Nelson showed us his other projects it was very clear this humble and funny man is a master at his craft. We could focus on the experience without any concern that we would mess things up. We now have the rings we wanted and which we made! A fantastic and memorable experience which we will cherish forever! As an added bonus the entire workshop was cheaper than going through a jeweler! Why buy expensive rings when you can make your own? :)

Nelson is an expert creator of simply beautiful things! I have gone to him during the most important events to memorialize (wedding and anniversaries) and every time my wife and I have been ecstatic with every object he makes! He listens to your personal needs and wants and designs something that makes you feel like you actually helped create. Timely, honest, collaborative, and creative! I will definitely be back!
