My first of what will be many trips to Oblio's, and walked over three miles round trip to try it!
Warm and inviting with indoor and outdoor options, Oblio's is celebrating its 26th year, but only six months with a new owner. And they have a terrific place, combining high-quality food options with extraordinary customer service. That's a tough-to-beat tandem.
Greeted by a kind staffer whose name I didn't get, and then our server (Marco) rocked it throughout the visit. We told him that we were newbies, and he proceeded to walk us through their menu to get to a conclusion. Thanks so much, Marco!
Sat outside, and it was outstanding, as they provide a canopy to protect against the sun and the elements. Loved the dog bowl just outside their fence, which provided several sniffing and licking introductions from furry friends!
Ordered a large pizza, with one side the Mambo Italiano (pesto sauce, chicken, tomatoes, bacon, ranch dressing on the side) and the other The Godfather (red sauce, meatballs, ricotta, mushrooms, red onions, garlic, and a balsamic glaze).
Wow, so darn good. LOVED the Mambo Italiano, and the balsamic glaze on The Godfather was memorable. I'm not sure what I will get next time, and I don't want to get on The Godfather's bad side.
And then... exceedingly good dessert, a warm chocolate chip cookie served in a large tin with three scoops of vanilla ice cream. Spectacular, and I did not leave any evidence it ever existed.
This Park Hill restaurant has been on our radar for a while, but faced with hunger and a without a car for a night, we trekked it and were so glad we did. Without a doubt, coming back here soon.
