Obor Market is one of Bucharest's largest markets. It is accessible by public transportation. From the moment you walk in, you are immediately greeted by a colorful and bustling scene. Many produce vendors sell their goods to locals and a few tourists. Upstairs, there are many shops selling raw and cured meats, cheese, spices, wine, and other goods. You will have a difficult time choosing a vendor because many of them sell similar products. Outside of the market building, you will find other vendors selling flowers, hardware, and household goods. My favorite area is where the food vendors are. Try some mici, Romania's famous sausage. Never a full moment at this wonderful market!

Enjoyed strolling through the market on a sunny late summer day. Especially enjoying the fruits and vege stalls. Nice leisurely walk to enjoy Romanian local markets

This is my favorite spot in Bucharest. It's a charming local market with almost everything you could need. The fresh fruit and vegetable stalls are excellent, offering seasonal produce at very reasonable prices. There's also a section for meat and seafood, and the second floor has a variety of dry goods. I've found some great spices and natural products there. Lively and fun!

The best place in Bucharest is to visit and to check out everything like the locals do!! There's many different kinds of layout and shops besides the main building it's surrounded with kiosks and stalls serving delicious food! Fruits and vegetables in season can be found in abundance... We had a great few hours here

10/10 for any tourist in Romania. A truly local experience for anyone visiting with a wide variety of beer, food and gifts for anyone. The prices are 1/4 of what they are in the rest of the city, locals are friendly and it felt like a truly authentic experience.

One wonders why there are two such contrasting types of facilities, i.e. traditional markets and modern trade shopping malls, side by side. But let's not get gloomy here, because the locals in the marketplaces press on with their many customers. This is one of the deepest in Bucharest.

Obor Market is a great place to experience the heart of Bucharest's daily life. We visited on a Saturday in early March, and while it wasn't the most touristy destination, it offered a fantastic glimpse into the local scene. Here's what we loved: * Variety: The market had a huge selection of everything you could need - household items, fresh meat and fish, colourful produce, and even some market food stalls. * Value: We found some incredible deals, especially on food and drinks. We enjoyed some really cheap beer and delicious Mici (grilled sausages) at one of the bars inside the market - a perfect and affordable lunch break! Overall, Obor Market is a fun and authentic Bucharest experience, especially if you're looking for great deals on groceries and local food.
