Great atmosphere, low key and very relaxing. Service was fast due to not being busy, if busy make sure you have patience, there will be a waiting time for service. The staff is wonderful and truly working hard and as fast as they can to please everyone. The food so far is great, I've had a burger, wings and just recently their Thursday special of surf and turf and everything has been great!

So in case you didn't know there are specials offered everyday 5$ range. I don't know about every body but I like to have fun to, and being on my little budget, I And obrien's cash friendly. I had aof great time, had enough to tipclasses awesome cocktail server and get hot wings and three glasses of beer 20$ you guys for hours of fun there is no excuse not to grab a date and some deliciouse food!! Thanks O'Brien's Taylor Swift loves you!!

This place is right up my alley. Nice pub with an outdoor smoking patio. 2 pool tables for $1 a game. Such a nonchalant/chill atmosphere. Great deals on Tuesdays for the food. I recommend the combo platter. So many sides to choose from we chose the friend mushrooms, cheese curds, fries, onion rings and mango habanero wings!! There’s plenty parking in the back!

Friendly bartender and manager. Drinks on point and decent prices. Loud music fills the atmosphere. :)

Overall, it's a great place. Nice pool tables, dart boards, shuffle board. I ordered the Wings and they were a 10 out of 10. Some of the best wings I've ever had. Tons of meat on them and plenty of delicious flavors to choose from. The only downside was that it took about 30 minutes for them to come out but they were well worth the wait. I would definitely come back to this place. Amazing wings and friendly people here!

I have always the struggle with finding nice not too crazy bar that also has good ambiance .I can find satisfying drinks at home O'Brien's. And the have the best bartenders they are very good of what they do they have the experience of high end bars but a much cheaper price. We have cl quickly became regulars. They are very good at what they do and make the experience relaxing and enjoyable I have yet to have bad food or a bad drink 10 out of 10 would drink again

The small Spanish girl who looks a little bit like Rihanna with her face will ask you for tips on your face, and she will say, "No tips, don't come back to the bar again. She is so rude and arrogant, she should at tge back stage and not in the front.

Not a bad place at all! It is a small dark kinda hidden away place but it had what I wanted (soda and dartboards-3ea.) They are phoenix darts style not arachnid. And 2 or 3 pool tables as well. Service was a bit difficult to nail down but, I think the bartender was trying to close tabs and she may have had a couple walkout on her without paying for their night. So I can understand her frustration and lack of caring whether I need ones for the dart machine or not. I'm not being facetious either I do understand. I didn't eat but I did see a rather large menu so? And no kids, cause it very much is a bar setting! Lots of parking in the back and is wheelchair accessible.

I had a friend in from out of town and I was looking for a place for us to meet somewhere in the middle. I thought this was a different Irish bar had been two years ago so I told him to meet me there. As I got closer, I realized it was a new place. When I drove up, it almost looked closed but when you get into the back parking lot, it was completely full. This place is busy, busy busy! there is a jukebox that played an array of different music from country to rap to rock. The bar itself doesn't really have much of an Irish vibe so if that's what you're looking for this isn't the place. Maybe it's different on other nights. Our bartender was very attentive and consistently came to ask if we needed drinks or food. When she was busy, the other bartender came to check on us as well. So the service was A+. The menu was huge and had a lot of options. The prices were good and it seemed like you would get a lot of food with some of the bigger starters. I think we had five or six beers, two shots and wings/fries and our bill was somewhere around 50 bucks. Our food took a little while to come out, but considering how many people were there also ordering it didn't surprise me. The fries had a great seasoning on them and were very tasty. Would definitely recommend. They also had curly fry and sweet potato options. The wings were nice and crispy just like I like them and flavorful. It is a great dive bar if you're in this part of town and are looking for a place to go grab a drink and be social. The crowd overall was younger 20s-30s.

It's a dive bar and it's awesome! They have food and cold drinks! Prices are good and bartenders are cool. P.S. no shits allowed in the men's bathroom

I've been sitting here for about an hour, and the only things I ordered were was 12 naked wings and a reuben with curly fries.... The only thing keeping me from walking out is the fact that I'd got my drinks...the drinks I'll pay for but for as long as I had to wait for the food...well I try not to use profanity, but fuck them if this is how food sector is operating now

Food was hot and flavorful. Server was out to greet us quickly. And attentive thru our stay. Pool tables kept my hubby occupied and satisfied. Comfortable place to hang out.

(Regular since 2021) The owner is chill and the staff is sweet, The wings are the best! 10 wings for $5! I recommend the honey bbq! The side salad with grilled chicken is da bomb! The people are friendly as hell and the music is always great! cheap entry pool tournaments with big pay outs and its a one ball in game so also a fun and easy win! This is probably my second Favorite bar in Arizona! wish they did karaoke cause then I'd never leave! (The cook did get switched and they had one bad week on wing Tuesday but it has been fixed. 100% best bar food ever!)

Holy shit! This freakin place hasn't changed in the 20+ years I have occasionally visited. It was a dive bar in 2000 and it has slumped to lowest level of dive bar in 2023. Just as I remember, I thought to myself, as I came in through the door - not a gdamn thing has changed ‍ From the very small jail-type tv's to the flippin leaky ass roof when it rains (there are buckets for that, set on tabletops to catch the water) No wonder the musty smell still is lurking here, you stop noticing though after a while as you go nose blind. The bathroom just around the corner from the jukebox still has no seat after all this time. Wonderful. Said bathroom also has the permanent stink of piss and sewer - what's new? Service isn't great, service isn't good. What you expect? The fact is I don't mind dive bars, I visit this place directly from work and very, very rarely is it in my itinerary when headed out for an evening of fun. I do think the wings here are outstanding Thank you ladies and Gentlemen

My fiancé and I went to this bar for the first time and I have to say, I have never felt more disappointed in any bar ever! Bartender Liz was very nice but after we ordered our fourth round, plus food, bought a drink for a friend we met at the bar and a t-shirt, she questioned "are you sure"? Before we closed out our tab, we spoke with the other bartender who said she was the manager. She quickly turned the situation back to Liz. She (Liz) said we were rude and yelling and waving for her in the bar (which we never did) and said "we just want you to pay your tab and leave." Rudest bartender I've EVER experienced in ANY bar!!! It's a shame because we really liked this place because it's close to home.

horrible service I've been coming to this bar for over a decade. They went from serving some of the best bloody Mary's in town, to putting tomato juice Worcestershire and vodka into a glass and calling it a bloody Mary. Then they threw me out of the bar complaining about how bad the bloody Mary was. It really sucks that I have to stop frequenting this establishment after 10 years of patronage, but I'm not gonna get treated like that. When I complained about my drink and asked for a manager I was mocked they told me welcome to a dive bar if you don't like it get the fuck out.. I've been drinking at that bar for longer than these kids have been in high school and to get treated like that sucked. I'm never going back.

I've been living in Phoenix for almost 30 years and none of my so-called friends have ever introduced me to this bar. What a great old time atmosphere. Makes me think of drinking with my dad. On top of all that, I came for the highly recommended wings and they did not disappoint. Don't be surprised to see me there on Tuesdays for their wing special. #DukeOfEats

Definitely would have driven past this spot if I didn't search for sports bar while I was in the area. Hidden between other buildings and parking hidden in back I thought it was closed. Parking lot was packed and entrance is in the back. It's super dark walking in from the sun and it takes eyes some time to adjust but the vibe and space is classic pub style. Lots of space inside, plenty of seats around bar, and a large patio. The biggest negative for me is the open wall between patio and inside so all the smoke from smokers on patio comes in with fans blowing. Thankfully there was a table by the entrance and it was far enough away from the smoke. Plenty of TVs playing the Sunday football games and lots of energy from the customers. Hubby ordered 6 Sweet Thai Chili wings and chili cheese fries but they were out of chili so he switched to loaded tots. I got a quesadilla cheese crisp style and a side salad. The quesadilla cheese crisp style comes out open faced instead of folded over like usual. It was nice and crisp and the cheese was melted and covered every inch. It was like a cheese slice without the marinara! It was delish. The salad was decent size and the creamy cilantro dressing was a nice twist for my usual vinaigrette. The server recommended getting the wings extra crispy so hubby decided to try it. He said the wings were good but too crispy for his liking so he would probably not get them extra crispy next time. But the spice was a nice sweet heat. They were well baked, lots of meat on the bone and flavorful. The tots were crisp but a little too overpowering with the salty flavor combo.

After a crap shoot Friday at work went to O'Brien's for some food and adult beverage. It's been a minute since we had been there but the place hasn't changed much. Still dark and divey, can still smoke and the indoor "patio." Server came over quickly took our drink order. A Stella and a Blue Moon. Again drink arrived quickly. Blue moon came with a large orange wedge just like I like it. She took our food order when she brought our drinks. Fried zucchini and wings. Took about 10 minutes. Zucchini was great. Large portion of perfectly fried coins with some really good ranch. Wings crisp with just the right amount of sauce. I loved both but the hubs said the wings were too crispy for him, I thought they were perfect. Had some friends show up so we probably stayed a tad too long. Paid for that in the morning. This bar is within walking distance of our residence. It will be a new go to on the weekends when we are wanting a few drinks and food. Burgers looked good too. The only reason my review isn't 5 star is the music was just a tad too loud. We had to talk very loud to hear each other but then again maybe I'm just getting old.

Ive been coming to this place for a short while and i already have a ritual to come here every Tuesday for the Wing deal. Additional bonuses for having their juke box so i can play all my favorite songs and to top it all off, the staff there is attentive and hospitable. They just really make you feel like you belong. Oh yeah the drinks are good too! 5/5 stars

This has become my favorite place. The food is always good. I haven't had one bad thing yet! Troy is the man!!! He Gets my food right every time! The staff there are welcoming and friendly. You can play songs through the app, but it gets competitive some days lol. If you've never been, get the wings , the nachos & the queso!!!! I'm reluctant to share this gem lol, but they deserve awards!

The wings are fantastic here! I only like to go when a certain Bartender is working. She's awesome and one of the reasons why I travel far to get wings and drinks here! I've come on different days and had horrible service so if she ain't working I'll order a drink and leave. I keep forgetting to ask her name. If cheap drinks and good wings are what you're looking for, I'd stop here!

My kids took me to this place O'Brian. For my birthday and loved is there food was amazing. The people there had so much repect. The the amazing thing. The bartender . Was so calm. And had a smile. That place is wow.

O'Briens bar quickly became my favorite bar as I turned of age due to its friendly community and cheep, but good food. The people are always laughing and having a good time. Definitely a good bar for first timers as the staff are quick to make you feel like a regular.

A bar tender Austin was seeking shots falling all over the place being extremely rude and I can't believe this is the kinda of business they are running

ROACH INFESTED. Seriously, by the darts last night we encountered at least three sewer roaches crawling around. There was no air conditioning and the tables were FILTHY. It is beyond me how this place is allowed to serve food. Don't go here. There's a difference between a dive bar and a disgusting bar. This one is disgusting.

I've been coming here for a few years days nights weekends. Always a good time no issues ever. You can always find somebody to play pool with easily. The food and drinks are good and affordable.

I am writing this today as it is the 2 year anniversary of my incident. Two years later and I still have nightmares about this place. Nov 14, 2020... I am a 21 year old (98 lb female) GCU student. I am peacefully enjoying a cheap vodka cran. That is, until, I turn my head at the exact moment a grown Mexican man is winding up for a punch. He is aiming for the man standing right next to me. Maybe you can guess what happens next? Yes, the man DUCKS. He dodges the punch completely. I am in ring of fire. I get socked in the face with a punch that is meant for another man. Chaos arises in the bar as a gun is flashed, barstools thrown, all while I proceed to hide under a table. In that moment, I am convinced my last day on earth is today right here in O'Briens Sports Pub. I run to a bartender who tells me "Sorry, that happens sometimes." She then has me pay my tab. Once I pay, I run down the dangerous streets of West Phoenix to hide and order an Uber. I have gotten no Justice for the events that occurred the night of Nov 14th. With that being said, I will still give this bar 2 stars instead of 1 as it built character, I rocked a bada** black eye for the following month, and they have good wings.

Wings are always on point. Might take awhile to get your food but worth the wait. So as long as you know your gonna wait a little so don't be mad

Wanna give this bar 5 Stars given current Staff in the form of Alaina, Ava, and Amber, But for an "Irish" bar, O'Brien's has a distinctly "non-Irish" bar feel when the Sun goes down. Great food, Mostly cool bartenders besides the aforementioned Outstanding three, Awkward parking, They need a Bouncer/Security post 500pm. 'Sides that, A decent daytime bar.

I will not be back to this bar. The waitresses are slow as heck. They don't greet. They don't answer the phone. I have been calling for 2 days to place an order. Now I had to leave work to place an order, I get there, they say the food is dine-in only. What the hell is that?!

Playoffs and no sound. Don't come her to spend money and watch game. Asked waitress and rude. People yelling turn on game everyone here for that straight refusal, takes 30 minutes to get a drink. Owner needs to give works customers satisfied speech. I'm done here !

First time coming to this bar and was on st Patrick's day so was very packed. Had a large order of food we picked up and had a few drinks while we waited for food. Service was great, drinks good and food excellent. Will be coming back for sure.

We're occasional visitors to O'Briens and have enjoyed each time we belly up to the bar. There is a nice selection of craft beers plus domestics. The food menu is large and everything we've ordered is yummy. Had the buffalo chicken wrap that was huge and delicious. Spouse had chicken fingers, excellent. Great time here watching NFL and playing trivia.

Good times at your local dive bar. Drinks are cheap and the people are always mixed best bar in town.

Service is terrible. Waitress said they lost our order waited an hour for food (on a Tuesday night) drinks were mediocre at best. Terrible lighting. Parking was bad. Go anywhere else you'll get better service and better environment.

Used to go here all of the time, but after the last visit and got ripped off by the bartender. Went there day after Thanksgiving and the bartenders wad working alone AND was a little stressed. My friends and I were running separate tabs and when she charged my card the full amount and also charged my friends for their drunks and food. When we pointed out her mistake due said " oh sorry, I will rip up your credit card receipts" . Unfortunately I believed her and left, unfortunately 2 days later a charge for 107 bucks!!!! Gonna dispute the charge with my bank but its gonna be hard to prove since I was drunk

This place is what i like to call home. It's a bar whose scent you recognize walking in the door and hope will leave with you on the way home. The bartenders pour strong and the music is perfectly loud. A local watering hole where I'd be happy to spend every wild night. We love you, Ob's!

Great staff, A/C Fans everywhere, good food, and best of all they have an Argentine soccer channel that no other bar in Phoenix has. Trish is cute and very friendly. I highly recommended this place.

We found O'Brien's by searching sports bars on Yelp. Spent a day checking out several other places and found O'Briens to be exactly what we were looking for, a place with good drinks, craft beer and good food to host my husband's 60th, Funky 60's Hippie Bash. It was the perfect intimate size, decor was divey, pool tables & darts, variety of food, everything! Could not have been happier! The food was excellent, they use fresh mushrooms and jalapenos on their pizza, fresh jalapenos on their nachos, they go way beyond standard and add red onion, olives, pepperoncini, red & yellow peppers and use romaine lettuce on their salads!! These details are exceptions to the rule anymore for bar-food. Their wings were outstanding, large and juicy, the sliders had great flavor, meaty and juicy. The portions were all amazing, and the owner went above and beyond with table clothes and balloons! :-) Not a single person waited before being served by the staff or went hungry with the huge spread of food! They even adjusted the thermostat to our liking as well as the volume on the music. Everyone had a good time, and the party was a great success! We enjoyed ourselves so much we drove 2 hours to spend Super Bowl Sunday at O'Briens and didn't leave disappointed! Thanks for the great service and delicious food & drinks...we'll be back for more!

So after coming into O'Briens for several years now, I stopped in the other night to get some wings to go. I had a Modelo while I waited for the wings to get done. After a few minutes, the bartender came by and dropped the check. It was $28.50. $24 for the wings and $4.50 for the beer. I handed over my Visa card as I had a hundred times before. As I waited for her to return for my signature, I got the usual text from the card saying what had been charged -- $ 29.75 When the paperwork got to me - I looked it over to find that a fee of $1.25 to use my card had been charged. Now in previous months years etc. - I had heard that if your tab was under $10 that there would be a transaction fee. this is understandable. But I was confused as to why I got charged this fee on $30. I asked the bartender and she replied that they had added this a while back. Now after doing a bit of research, Visa charges 1.5% +.10 cents for each trans action. for my tab that would be .43 cents plus the .10 cents for .53 cents. for a profit of .72 cents for this transaction. If this were the same amount for every customer - and lets say 400 customers per day - that would be $288 of unearned income for the establishment that already has profit built into everything on the menu. I guess this will cover someone's beer tab. I have been a loyal customer for almost six years now and something like this is unjustified. The customers don't like it - the staff doesn't like to explain it. I know it seems petty but what's next? .25 cents for bathroom use? .50 cents to use a barstool? There was no visible notice of this fee and no warning of it from the staff. Not cool !!

Am currently here on St. Patrick's Day, a day that bartenders and waitresses must have cold sweats and nightmares about! And yet Austin, Karen. Kristi and Alena (among others) are not only heroes but goddesses! Constantly there to give me beer and food when I need it, despite astonishing challenges, they're all incredibly sweet as well. You need to come here and see these wonderful women in action for yourselves (and tip them big!!) It may be St. Patrick's, but these ladies are a Christmas miracle!!

Been coming to this dive bar for 20+ years, and it is the absolute worst it has ever been! Waited for service at the table for 15 minutes, then at the bar for 15+, then at the end of the bar for 10+ and finally gave up! Great wings, but service is so bad, you'll never know!

Best wings on earth! I don't remember the bartender who helped us last Wednesday night, but she was great and the service was fast. I've been back from CA several times and will definitely hit this place every time I'm back in town for spring training in future years.

All-around great bar. It may seem a bit dive-y at first, but that's what gives it character right? Cheap beer, awesome food (especially the wings), hot bartenders, pool, darts, nice patio, live music, Buck Hunter, Golden Tee...this place has it all. For the most part the girls there are all pretty average, nothing a few beers can't fix. Depending on what night you go, there's usually a pretty good spread...great place to pull cougars.

I always had a bias against O'Brien's as the *other* bar on 35th & Northern. Now that it's the only one, and some buddies of mine were playing a show, I finally caved and checked it out. Did not regret. It's a pretty roomy bar that fits tons of people. I liked the enclosed smoking patio, since my friends didn't have to leave to light up. The drink specials are groovy. $1 lands you some cheap beer (PBR, I believe) and for $3.50 you'd get a frosty mug of Leinenkugel's Berry Weiss. I can drink that for days! There are tons of cheap shots listed above the bar, and I'll get around to trying them all. The only downsides were slow service (this place seemed understaffed) and no stage for bands. They just clear some stuff out of the way, and people there to listen to music find themselves bumping into people sitting down watching the game. Feels awkward and disorganized. But if you get drunk enough, will that really matter?

Beer anyone!??!! Irish pub here guys. The atmosphere is dark with low lighting, most lighting coming from the pool tables. They also provide a back patio area for the smokers that consist of alot of chairs, high tables and festive lights. I ordered quite a few pitchers of tap beer tasty ShockTop for my group. Service was exceptional, as the bartender present walked around and checked on everyone in the bar. Not just standing behind the bar waiting on others. I grabbed a menu and ordered wings(all flats- a dollar or 2 charge), they were tasty. They also had well over a dozen choices of flavors to choose from, but be careful some are kind of bootleg. My friend ordered hot wings, the typical hot wings flavor. My favorite here would have to be the games they provide. Pool tables of coarse, darts and the puck table was full of fun. Games are placed in a nice spot. Parking is very accessible it's behind the bar, and alot of space. I would go back to this bar and bring friends here anytime. People that come here are great as well. They welcomed me and everyone was friendly. Beer and fun anyone?!!!

Nice place to have some beer and some bomb crispy wings! My first time here and was actually pretty amazing. They can just improve cleaning the tables but besides that food was good, beer was bomb, and the vibe was chill as well.

Wow! What an establishment. Walked in with some friends thinking that I was just gonna grab a beer and a mediocre burger, and could have been more please with the outcome. Apparently, they have a killer surf and turf on Thursday nights, which includes steak, shrimp, a baked potato and a salad for like $14. I ate every bite! The steak was something that I would pay $50+ at a normal steak house. I have since been back several times, and it's been seasoned and cooked perfectly every time. Anna is always the bartender, and she is as accommodating and as sweet as they come. Not bad on the eyes either, gentleman. The bar itself is kept up well, and has all kinds of games to keep you entertained. The wings are the best in town too! I highly recommend this establishment and all of their staff. If you don't check it out, your missing out.
