Look, I just wanna preface that this place has great coffee and was my go-to coffee shop to get my espresso grounds from… until today.
I’m not really that active social media so I had no idea that they had an event today. So I walked in and it was super busy, I almost didn’t want to bother but I really needed espresso grounds and I really like the selections they have here. I waited in line for a little bit. When I got to the counter I said “was there an event or something today?” The barista gave me a snarky answer basically telling me to look around and figure it out for myself. She told me what the even was, which was nice. So I just shrugged the snarky response.
I asked nicely if I can get my beans ground up as I usually do, told her I know she’s really busy but wondering if I can get the beans ground up, and she agreed. When you get coffee beans from them, they usually give you a free drip coffee. So when she came back with my ground coffee, I asked for one. She told me they’re not doing drip today because of the event and again, another snarky remark saying “this is why everyone should follow the instagram account because we’ve been preparing for this for a few weeks, maybe 6” as if she expects all of their patrons to be on social media and be
following them. I said that’s fine, thanks and left.
Again, like I said, coffee here is great but this left a sour taste in my mouth. This whole experience is probably going to make me want to try the other great coffee shops around. Will try and see if I can find something similar of quality or better. If not then I’ll maybe come back here. I will still support local comedy though through Bushwick Comedy Club
