NYC’s New Restaurant Openings - New York - The Infatuation

"In Bushwick, Obscure Coffee is a cafe and coffee roaster that sources their beans directly from farms and collectives, and that serves creative drinks like a tamarindo spritz. The founder is a huge fan of metal music, so expect pop-ups and shows in the Bushwick space." - will hartman, willa moore, molly fitzpatrick, sonal shah, bryan kim

Awesome new shop in the front of Bushwick Comedy Club! The owner is super knowledgeable and passionate about coffee, and they roast their own beans right in Brooklyn which is super cool. I love the creativity of the specialty drinks, I had the coquito latte and it was delicious! Prices are super fair and they don’t upcharge for alt milk or ice which is always nice. Highly recommend checking it out!

Very nice little space. Quiet and chill place with a nice owner. I got the coconut and cinnamon co ferment. I'm not amazing at tasting but I thought it was pretty delicious.

Come support this new cafe. They serve top shelf coffee without the pretentiousness. The beans are high quality, ethically sourced and roasted here in Bushwick--beats the shit out of other shops in the area. The iced drinks are original and have a Latin flair, all really good. Coquito cold brew, parcha matcha, tamarind spritz..in that order.

THE BEST COFFEE EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD! We were warmly greeted by the owner who answered all our questions happily. We enjoyed a vanilla concha, iced coquito latte, and puerto rican pour over.. LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE! I also love the fact that there is enough seating as well. JUMP ON THE WAVE NOW AND GET IN WHILE ITS EASY BEFORE THIS PLACES BLOWS UP AND BECOMES THE NEXT BIG THING IN NYC!

Got an excellent single-source drip coffee, a tasty almond croissant and cookie. The cafe is spacious and full of natural light, with comedy fans and coffee connoisseurs vibing together. The location is super convenient in the heart of Bushwick, and the owner is super knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend!

one of my absolute favorite spots to get coffee! Norberto sources amazing coffee from all over Latin America and his attention to quality SHOWS! My favorite is the coquito latte! I get it iced and hot and it’s so so delicious! As a barista, this is my spot to get my coffee fix! 💗 Norberto also cares so much about the coffee community and community in general. You can tell he wants everyone to experience a beautifully brewed cup of cafecito!

Great coffee and a great place to hang out and work. I enjoyed my flat white here and edited almost all of my YouTube videos during my four-week stay in Bushwick.

Got a Colombia pour-over and their tamarind spritz, both unbelievably tasty! Really outstanding coffee and very sweet people - can’t wait to see Obscure succeed!
