brought my non drinking mom here. tried to get her to drink a espresso martini, nope. so i drank it! twas great. had the GMC hazy IPA and that was really good and hazy the flavor was great! we had the arugula salad, some thi curry wings and meat heater pizza. food was great. would come back again. and the service was also great. lots of locals young and older folks.

Sierra S.

Google
Absolutely loved this place! The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, perfect for a sunny afternoon on the patio. I ordered the arugula-topped pizza with balsamic glaze. Their mocktail was not only delicious but beautifully presented. Staff were friendly and attentive. I’ll definitely be back. A hidden gem worth checking out!

Google
This is way more than good pizza and cocktails although they do both so well. The atmosphere and the story behind it are both sweet and touching. The service is always great and the atmosphere is chill. What keeps us coming back every week is for sure THE best pizza but also the people. If you’re looking for consistently good food and an overall great experience, this is the place!

I love this place. Wonderful staff and food. Thank you so much for the Dubai Chocolate event. It was wonderful

Google
Hey there! Obsidian Brewery is a really great spot. The bartenders are friendly, the drinks are great and the environment is nice. The food was mediocre and they were out of alot of items. We had the chicken bacon Ranch pizza, which was pretty tasty. Unfortunately, it took about 10 additional minutes for our wings to arrive. We ordered the hot honey buffalo wings. They are not fried they are baked (just a fyi). They lacked flavor. There is plenty of seating, and the rr is clean. We enjoyed hanging out and will be back for some great drinks and beer.

Google
Obsidian has slapped both times we've been, they always have good beers and good selection and their pizza is great for their more non standard options (like chicken bacon ranch)

Google
My friend, when drinking the blueberry ale, "This is the first beer I've ever liked." Delicious stuff. I want to go back and try the pizza and such. The vegan cheese one will be good for my other friend.

Wood fired pizzas , crafted and unique beers, amazing passionate staff, cute location with lots of fun. I could rant about this place over and over and over , and never get tired of it. The food and the drinks are neck and neck and neck on what’s first. First of all, there is not obligation to imbibe alcohol here as there are mocktails , non-alcoholic beers, and alcohol free beverages . The mocktails change often and every single one has been juicy and exciting . The beers are cold, carbed perfectly and unique. I have been a personal fan of the dark lagers, but they have a sticky rice lager that is delicious, and while I’m not a huge IPA fan, my partner is and these are some of his favorite. He says “they are full mouth, juicy, citrus, hop-forward delicious tinctures of gold.” The pizzas are just out of this world . I can’t get over their recent upgrade to a wood-fire stove, and the element of the soft char that renders every pizza with crispy points and melt-in-your mouth meats and cheeses, or how every element on each pizza is carefully selected , resourced reasonably, and or made in house. Like their dill rich garlicky ranch, omg, so good. They recently introduced wings, which are big and juicy and also wood fired, and come in a spicy hot honey buffalo or lip smacking lemon pepper. Service here is unbelievable, everyone is gracious, calm, reasonable, and happy to see you. While I never expect a brewery to have this kind of attitude, the fact remains, you feel like you belong here. The atmosphere is gorgeous and artistic, with some favorite popular indoor plants lining the big windows , and gorgeous huge canvases , varied spots of loitering, a big covered patio, and two different lounges, there isn’t a spot that you and your friends or just your lonesome can’t get cozy here. Overall I recommend this place to absolutely everyone. 10/10 food, service , and atmosphere.

Yelp
The food here is so good. I love this place because it's got plenty of seating and something for non-beer drinkers! The folks working here are friendly and it's just a low key spot with amazing food

Yelp
This place is... interesting. The dining and bar areas were well decorated and clean. I really liked the visibility of the "in-house" brewery. Lots and lots of beers available here! While the food items on the menu are limited, the sandwich I ordered was pretty good. Here's what kicks me in the gonads... If you want some water, you must get up from your seat and serve yourself from the edge of the bar. Different - definitely. Should I be charged as if I'm downtown Austin on top of that... absolutely NOT!!! If you want a different kind of dining experience, this is the place to try. I will more than likely never return. However, I may order an Uber Eats/Favor from here. That sandwich was damn good!

Yelp
Obsidian fills in the old spot of a different brewery/pizzeria that I had visited before and found to be ok but improving. I was wondering if Obsidian would be more of the same. While the general look of the place hasn't changed much there's definitely a vibe change that was noticeable. The lighting is much more muted but also the bar has more spirits and if you weren't a beer drinker you could have a well made cocktail if you wanted. Juve, our bartender definitely was more than a tap puller even though all we had was beer. I ended up with their birria pizza and though it was the most expensive pie on the menu it was definitely a tasty and filling one. The beef was juicy and the rest of garlic oil, crema and jalapenos were definitely a good mix along with the birria. I was going to limit my beers to 3 but they were good-better than their geographic predecessor.

Yelp
We love this place when we're able to go. Stopped in on the last day of Barks for Beers. They have a wide selection of beer, cocktails, wood-fired pizzas and other non pizza foods. I'm not a big beer drinker, so I got their strawberry French 75 and my mom a mocktail- blueberry fields. My sister and bf enjoyed their beers. We also ordered a La Birria pizza (12"), lemon pepper wings, serrano jack brat and pretzel. All the food was delicious! We couldn't believe how good the Birria pizza was. Whoever lives in this neighborhood got it lucky!

Yelp
Beer was good, I would visit if I were in the area again. It seems like a popular work spot, as we saw several people inside with their laptops, on calls, and the like. WiFi available. They're located in a shopping center so there is plenty of parking and there are plenty of food options nearby.

Yelp
First time here. Went for lunch, walked in with no greeting, acknowledgement or direction from anyone so we just sat down but noticed you had to go to the bar to place your order. Got beer there and sat to wait for our Meat Eater without jalapeños. Food was delivered within 10-15 minutes. This 12" pizza was $17.99. Thought it was not bad, we love thin crust however the bottom crust was soggy, we are accustomed to crispier/drier crust which ruined the experience. This location is very convenient however I'm not sure we will be back for pizza. This venue is a nice size for bar and patio seating.

Yelp
Friendly neighborhood brewery. The beers are always clean and crisp. The food here is amazing and the chef does a great job. Many a times we go here for the food. They keep it entertaining with trivia nights. Highly recommend this brewery if you are around.

Yelp
Maybe an off night? Came in because the kid was craving pizza and I haven't been in this location since it was Humble Pint. Service was okay, no real complaints aside from maybe just offering water while sitting at the bar or while serving food, pretty off-hands in general. Beer was okay, the mango and sticky rice lager I had was much better than the IPA, which lacked depth. Somehow they were out of kids pizza, but could still make a standard pizza, not sure why they can't just make a new portion of dough, but I digress...I ordered a pepperoni and the Thai pizzas. The pepperoni pizza came out first and the crust was quite toasty, with a section being on the overdone side. I enjoyed the quality of the ingredients, with the pepperoni having good flavor, but the pizza was a little dry due to the overcooking. Then the Thai pizza came out which looked stunning, crust still darker than I'd expect for a standard pie, but not as dark as the pepperoni. I wish the Thai pizza had more balance--the carrots do their best but need some more help, and ends up pretty single note. I wish I had a better experience. Based on previous photos here, it looks like the pizza tonight was off, or something has changed for the worse.

Yelp
Obsidian has become a favorite of ours. The service is always friendly no matter how busy they are. If you have any questions about flavors the team has tons of knowledge. A true gem is the wood fire pizzas. The Birria pizza is my partners favorite. It's drizzled with a green sauce and a side of consume to dip your slice in. I enjoy the Meat Heater drizzled with hot honey. The pizzas are big enough to share especially if you want a side arugula salad or an appetizer. The music is always on point and a great spot to meet a friend or enjoy with your partner. I will say families frequent this place as well quit a bit. If we are ever craving a pizza & beer and just a vibe Obsidian is the spot we go to. Highly recommend trying out and I look forward to seeing them continue to grow.

Yelp
We tried the chicken jalapeño bacon ranch and the Bianca basalt pizzas. 12" is the only size offered, so we ordered two. It turned out that we took home 1/2 of each - both reheated well. We enjoyed a hazy ipa while sitting outside on their inviting patio.

Yelp
Came with a buddy who knew this place. The place was very spacious and not crowded, (well it was noon) I like the cool design of it where they had a bar area, an eating table area, and a cool lil sofa lounge to one side. They also had a full bar with a fantastic whiskey selection! The beers were listed on a chalkboard. I picked the Hazy IPA which was called the "Cemetery turtle? , cemetery something" which turned out to be an absolute fantastic beer. It actually replaced the McConohaze as my favorite Hazy.... Just tons of citrus hops and was a great drinker. I did try the Hanks Dank, which was good but the Hazy was tops! We tried the cheese bread and German pretzel which were really good . I will definitely be back to try the other food items and that Hazy...

Yelp
A MUST try!! Ambiance: This place is super cozy. Comfortable bar seats, dining and bar area are well lit, but with a smooth lighting easy on the eyes. They nailed the ambiance. Service: Mason is the bomb, he is extremely well versed with all liquors and beers. He makes a MEAN mezcal old fashioned. You Must try !! Even the owner Safir stopped by and introduced himself. This place could write the industry standard on service. You won't regret stopping here. I unfortunately had lunch prior to stopping here. Next time, I'll try the food and update.

Yelp
DON'T sleep on this place!! The pizza is great, but the beer is even better. I tried A Boy Can Dream, which is a strawberry Hefeweizen, and it has topped my lift of all time favorite beers now! If you came to this location before it was Obsidian; come again. They will win you over. Exceptional customer service. Even when they are slammed busy, they still make you feel like you're a valued customer. I will be back, again, and again for sure!! Great place to hang out, just know that there will probably be a child or two running around having a good time too!

Yelp
Wow, this little area of Leander is becoming "the" cool place for drinks and food. Let's see..... There is Leanderthal Distillery, Blue Corn Harvest, Aparicios, Lali Son: Nepalese Restaurant, Sharks Burgers (the OG), and now Obsidian Brewery. I had to Google the definition of Obsidian and according to interweb: "Obsidian is a highly-regarded protective stone, known for its ability to block, absorb, and transform negative energy. Obsidian is believed to be a stone of clarity, with the ability to release emotional, physical, and spiritual blockages, drawing out stress and tension." Well after a few of their craft beers, I have to admit my stress level was low and all blockages were released! Obsidian is occupying the space where Humble Pint served up deliciously wonderful NW-inspired brews and righteous pizzas. As other have mentioned the brewmeisters from Redhorn are continuing their craft here. I am pleased as punch to report that the new owners have brightened up the inside and added additional seating. The patio seating area is still intact as well. On to the important stuff! As you would expect their beer offerings are on point. I tried their Summer Ender and an IPA (there are a few to choose from). Others ordered lighter brews. We did order pizzas and if you were a fan of Humble Pint's pizza you will totally enjoy theirs. Last but not least they have excellent craft cocktails and a great selection of bourbon and whiskey. Yes, they serve more than beer! Service was excellent and there was no issue asking for samples. C'mon out and support and drink local!

Yelp
Beer - Good solid craft beer. Had a joint effort with Oddwood that was really good but rest was just middle of the road. Food - Had the Meatheater which was excellent Service - Counter service. Friendly and attentive. Ambiance - Was looking for an adult brewery experience but being Leander and early evening, there were lots of young ones walking around. Not bad, just not the vibe I was looking for.

Yelp
This place has some really good beers and we love some of the appetizers they have, like the shishito peppers with aïoli and the pretzel! It is a full bar and they also have some really good looking pizzas but I have not tried them yet. The ambience is pretty bare bones, it is kind of in a strip mall area, but they do have outdoor seating and a spacious interior. They are blueberry beer is fantastic!

Yelp
Amazing pizza, best in Leander/cedar park. Cannot recommend enough! Pepperoni pizza with hot honey

Yelp
My fiance and I were excited when we heard a few of the brewers from Red Horn were branching out and starting their own place. They bought the previous Lone Pint location, although I never went so I can't tell you what changed. What I can say is I like the space. They have 10 picnic tables or so outside and they're mostly covered and the outside area is dog friendly. Inside, they have the usual bar space along with more tables and a few couches too. We got our drinks and posted up on a couch to watch the Chiefs game on my phone (they don't have tvs). She got a strawberry French 75 and I got one of their hazy ipas recommended by the brewer working the bar (who broke the tape measure). Both were very good. My IPA was tropical and sort of reminded me of pinthouse (that's a good thing). Next, she got the strawberry hefeweizen which we both thought was pretty good and I got their other hazy (also called something about a tape measure). It was a totally different beer than the first but I also enjoyed it. We didn't get the pizza as we'd just eaten but a few friends have had good things to say.

Yelp
I tried this restaurant yesterday for the first time! It's definitely a 10/10!! The food was amazing! The atmosphere was very inviting and family friendly!! We sat at the bar and I enjoyed an espresso martini! It was the best espresso martini I've ever had. The bartenders take good care in preparing the drinks! They have plenty of brews to choose from! We ate the bratwurst for an appetizer! It was delicious! We also had the meat heater pizza! I mean this....it was the best pizza I've had in the area! The restaurant has outdoor seating and also high chairs for the kiddos! It's a great place to relax, enjoy a brew and delicious pizza! I would recommend this place 1000 times if I could! We will definitely be back!

Yelp

Yelp
Finally checked out this local brewery by our house. Was hoping they would let my puppy indoor but dogs are only allowed on the patio. We still have a good time but will definitely come back to sit inside. It looks like a very cozy place that you can kick back with a few friends and enjoy some drinks and pizza. The craft cocktails I tried was on point. I had whiskey sour and my husband had beer. He said it's on point as well. The pizza we ordered was the crispy and packed with a lot of meat. I'm thinking of having my birthday shindig here that's how cool this place is for a suburbia neighborhood.

Kat T.

Yelp
Stopped in today after a long walk for a treat and took the Thai fighter home for lunch and it was fantastic! Great music and a wonderful hazy IPA! Who could ask for more?

Rosemary M.

Yelp
Just had the best pizza of our lives! We ordered the La Barria. If you like things a little spicy, this is great! Atmosphere was great. Staff super friendly. We will be going back!
google avatar

Michael B.

Yelp
Excellent pies! Full bar! Order the Doggie with Pepperoni! This is a close to Pinthouse Pizza as there is!
google avatar

Adam N.

Yelp
Decided to grab pizza on a whim here the other night (to go order) and may have found one of my new favorite pizza spots! Really cool vibe on the inside, and plenty of seating inside and outside. Service was great, ordered online with ease, and food was ready when it was promised. I got the meat heater pizza (without the heat lol) so basically a meat lovers pizza, and then my family also ordered a plain cheese pizza and The Mitz Pizza. All were prepared perfectly, cooked just right with a nice crunch of the crust, and the toppings were plentiful. It wasn't super greasy either which was nice. It's a lot of food! Don't forget your sides of ranch! Pricing is right on par with what a pie costs around here. Look forward to a return trip and hopefully dining in next time!

Yelp
Loved our visit to Obsidian last night. Sleek and inviting decor, chill music, plenty of options for beer as well as mixed drinks. Some interesting options for pizza - we tried the Thai pizza which was pretty good and I want to go back and try the Birria. The pizza crust was a little on the crispy side for me but overall very tasty. I also love that it's kid friendly with various board games and kids menu options.
google avatar

Rhonda M.

Yelp
Beautiful little brewery tucked away in Leander. This place is a hidden gem and definitely worth coming out of your way for. They have a combination of both house brewed beers, mixed drinks made of homemade syrups and top shelf alcohols, and delicious pizzas. We had the mitz pizza, the crust was a delicious combination of chewy and crunchy. The toppings had fresh ricotta and perfectly cooked bacon with arugula. I had an ipa which was hoppy and floral forward, yummm. Lastly, the service was warm and attentive. Come give this locally owned brewery a try, I think you'll find it's your new favorite hangout.
google avatar

Laura D.

Yelp
Initially found Humble Pint on a Texas Brewery map, but their website directed us to Obsidian which has purchased the space and taken over. This was a happy change -- Obsidian is wonderful. The food is delicious, there are lots of choices when it comes to beer, cocktails, wine, and spirits. They even have non alcoholic beers and mocktails with special house made syrups. The bartender was above and beyond -- kind, humorous, and accommodating. Venue was clean, spacious, the music was an alternative mix that my husband and I loved, and it wasn't too loud! 10/10 definitely putting this on a regular rotation and coming back with other friends/family. We'll have to return a few times to see if the experience is just as awesome, but this might be a new favorite. Really great spot!
google avatar

Ed S.

Yelp
Went for lunch, and found the service to be friendly and accommodating. We tried the monthly special pizza "Sloppy Steaks", featuring ribeye steak), and enjoyed the change of pace that it offered. Very tasty, albeit on the pricey side. I tried several of the beers, and wasn't impressed by any of them. They reminded me of home brew rather than polished brewery products. Concerning for a business that bills itself as a brewery...rather than a pizza joint or bar. My SH had a mocktail, and found it to be rather boring. Not a bad experience by any means, but better beer would have really improved it.
google avatar

Jim K.

Yelp
Simply a gem. Perfect for date night or family night. The cocktails, beers, and pizza just make for a great evening.
google avatar

Yelp
We absolutely love this place! Recently opened and we can already tell this place is going to be a big hit. Let's start with the pizza - it's delicious! Perfectly cooked and they have a nice array of ingredients. We opted for the Bianco Basalt and the Meat Heater. Both were outstanding and the pepperoni is my favorite in town (I'm picky about my pepperoni!). We even went back the very next day and tried a BYOP (Build Your Own Pizza). The kids cheese pizza was a hit with our kids too. My 4 year old ate almost 2 of them! The drinks are very very good - from the beer to the cocktails. I tried the Where is the Tape Measure Hazy IPA - loved it. Nice and smooth (surprising for a hazy) and something I could drink often. My wife tried their creamsicle margarita and was very surprised how much she liked it. We will be back soon to try more cocktails! The service is at the bar and each bartender is very knowledgeable and helpful in your selection! They will offer samples of draft beer/draft cocktails to help you decide. We are so happy to have a versatile brewery/cocktail lounge so close to home! Perfect spot for a date night or to bring the kids and enjoy board games. Run, don't walk, to Obsidian!

Miguel E.

Yelp
Undercooked wings and not a lot of service. Seems more like a place for locals only. Wings were way undercooked (red bone in the middle).

M C.

Yelp
We had an awesome time stopping at Obsidian, good food and great beer. Even grabbed a few shirts on our way out. Will definitely be back
google avatar

Emma B.

Yelp
We love Obsidian! Our family usually does carry out so we've never experienced the true seated service but can attest the food is amazing. There are a lot of unique pizza options that seem interesting at face value but are delicious. We have never been disappointed with bringing food home from Obsidian and it is our new go-to place.

Gina W.

Yelp
We came here while in town for a family wedding. This was a great find! The beer, place and the service were excellent. The pizza looked absolutely delicious but we had lunch prior to visiting.I highly recommend this place and hoping to return soon.
google avatar

Steven H.

Yelp
Great brews and Great Food! Came here on trivia night and had a blast. Check this place out for a good time!
google avatar

Matt P.

Yelp
Really good pizza and excellent beer no only a step up from the previous place. They also have a full bar now and a great vibe.
google avatar

Anton S.

Yelp
Try the shishito peppers . Beer , interior is good. Was a bit limited choice , but they promised, next week all labels should be back
google avatar

Patrick B.

Yelp
Decided we needed to give it a try. Well the votes came in. Everyone in the family loves the pizza. The Thai chicken pizza was the hands on favorite. The bar mix drinks could be better. The old fashioned was perfect the whiskey sour had egg white which perfect but the sour made it almost bitter and didn't finish well. I can't drink beer so I can rate the beer but it's great they have other choices. The servers were good and stayed up in things. Felt like the perfect brew pub. Great atmosphere. They do need larger cups for water for kids who can't drink.
google avatar

Curt S.

Yelp
My wife and I decided to stop by Obsidian Brewery when we saw they also had cocktails and mocktails. What a great spot! My wife loved her mocktail, although she mentioned it could use a tad a bit more blueberry flavor. And I had the "Dont Mess With Texas!" one of the best stouts I've had in the Austin area, smooth and rich. We went with the pepperoni pizza, which was the true shocker. Wood fired pizza with a deep oak flavor from the wood smoke, drippy cheese and crispy pepperoni. And that wood smoke flavor! We will definitely be back, great spot for an affordable date night.
google avatar

Charles M.

Yelp
Pizza is great with variety of options. Beer is mediocre at best. Typically near flat and not cold enough. Occasionally there's a decent one. Definitely unimpressive and disappointing. Service is great. Atmosphere is great.
google avatar

Kim J.

Yelp
Super friendly service!! The garlic cheesy bread, pretzel and jalapeño brat is delish!! My husband loves the blueberry beer, my fave is the creamsicle marg. Definitely recommend coming to check them out!!
google avatar

Gabriel G.

Yelp
I moved to Leander because I like it. But deep down, I really moved to Leander so I could live next to Obsidian Brewery!
google avatar

Anna B.

Yelp
The service is great! The ambience is chill. The pizza is amazing. Their crust is the best in my opinion. Consistently great the 3 times now I've visited. The pretzel was also very good. Fresh salads. This is a new pizza place for us. Worth the drive to us.
google avatar

Laura d.

Yelp
Great environment! Love the clean open space. Beer and food was delish! Can't wait to go back when I am back in town.

Susan G.

Yelp
Loved the decor and sitting area of this brewery. Pizza was yummy and the beer was refreshing g and delicious. Had a flight and enjoyed all of the varieties of draft beers. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Lovess A.

Yelp
We've been here twice now, once in a whim and once to do their Wednesday night trivia. It was a blast! Try their birria sandwich thing, you won't regret it. Bartenders are super friendly and the cocktails are on point!!!

Yelp
Super fun atmosphere great vibe loved the people great service Love the beer selection wonderful place to hang out any day of the week

Yelp
Was in town for training and this was the best/closest place on Yelp. It did not disappoint. I got the Mitz pizza. I kid you not, this may be the best pizza crust I've ever had. It was crispy and slightly chewy, with a phenomenal flavor. I don't think it matters what toppings you get, the crust is A1, top notch. Go here!
