Ocean Basket Brookes on the bay

I had dinner at Ocean Basket and it was a really nice experience. The waitress was very kind and helpful. My phone was about to die and even though my charger and cable weren’t ideal, she still made an effort to help me charge it. That kind of service really stood out. The food was good. I enjoyed the seafood with the different sauces. Everything was fresh and nicely presented. The only thing I didn’t like so much was the curry sauce, which had a bit too much cream for my taste. But that’s just personal preference. All in all, it was a pleasant visit with friendly service and tasty food.

It was our anniversary. I ordered calamari tubes and heads with a double hake portion and chips. Chips were decent. Calamari tubes were in heavy butter and they did not even plate the heads till after I pointed out they were missing. I asked for grilled. What I got was terrible calamari and below par fish swimming in butter🤢. And I had the better meal of the two. My wife asked for deep fried calamari with a separate salad. Calamari had some basting on but was not cooked on one side and burnt on the other. Had to be sent back. The salad ( healthy choice) looked good. Only when she started eating found that it had about a fifth of the dish sitting in a bath of oil. Yes oil, not salad dressing. Really disappointed.

Absolutely fantastic excellent sea food been here twice in 5 days service excellent had the biggest seafood sharing platter and it was divine sit outside for best views

Sunday afternoon lunch at the bay because it was a beautiful day! My fish (Kingclip SA) was a little overdone! My husband's fish was barely seared! ....and I was halfway through my dish when his was served 😋

A big compliment to the front-of-house manager for their exceptional leadership, ensuring smooth and seamless service alongside the servers. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, perfectly complemented by the delicious food and attentive service. Combined with great weather and even better company, it made for an unforgettable dining experience. Definitely a spot worth returning to!

I had a great time at Ocean Basket; the waiters are very welcoming and friendly 👏regularly came to check up on us if we were still good🙂The food and overall service 10/10👌 Moreover there’s a very nice outside beach view🫶 I’m definitely going back ✔️
