I had a wonderful experience at Ocean Cafe! The service was exceptionally polite and attentive, making me feel truly welcomed. The attention to detail in every aspect, from presentation to preparation, was impressive. The ingredients were clearly clean and of high quality, which shone through in the delicious flavors of the croissant sandwich, smoothie, and everything bagel I enjoyed. This place SLAPS. Chicken pesto sandwich was so good and crunchy and not too salty. My jungle love acai bowl was the perfect combo of hydrating and filling. I liked the cheese rolls to make it a full brunch - they were a little tough to chew though. Overall - you’re guaranteed good food and a good time!!

Visited Ocean Cafe for the first time and tried the Espresso Peanut Butter Vanilla Protein Shake (+ Vanilla yogurt) and Anti-Oxidant Smoothie. For those who prefer thicker drinks, I'd definitely recommended adding in the vanilla yogurt, as the yogurt made a noticeable difference in the drink texture. Prices were on the higher-end but overall enjoyed the smoothies and ocean-themed decor. Will definitely be back again!

I have loved this cafe for a few years now. One of the best by far in pb, I recently came back to visit and was not disappointed. The food is delicious and the service is genuine. Also a great place to catch up with friends, study, or work.

The waiting time at this place is insane! I only ordered a cheese roll to go, and it took 20–30 minutes. The place wasn’t even crowded, so there’s no reason it should’ve taken that long. Totally not worth it if you’re in a rush. And after all that, the cheese roll was dry and not even tasty.

Super good açaí bowl after a trip across the border was just what we needed. The bowl was fresh. I got the classic and started digging in a couple bites then thought i should take a picture to leave a review! The owner (didn’t get her name) is super nice and was helpful in recommendations. The spot is a vibe too, great place to start your morning!

What a great little coffee shop with character and soul! I was introduced to this location by a friend, and it was better than expected! The cold brew is the best, along with Pão de Mel! In my case, it's better to share it since a bit sweet for me, worth it. The one downside is that every time I get in the area, it's closing time lol. I will also take images once I go back in!

This is a VERY honest review. Breakfast is my precious time of the day and I have ALWAYS struggled to find an actual good and affordable place. This is the only place for breakfast around SD that I actually LOVE. Literally EVERYTHING in the menu is good. Even the cappuccino is OUT OF THIS WORLD. Açai bowls are huge and sooooo good. I always order either the Cali Turkey sandwich or the Pesto Panini. Make sure to try the Honey Cinnamon iced latte, it is a MUST! During busy times can take a while for the food to get ready since they are a small business and not a corporate operation. The wait is 100% worth it. Busy times are usually 9-11 but besides that the food gets ready pretty fast. Everyone who works there is super nice too! Best place for breakfast and Brazilian food!! The menu variety is HUGE. All ingredients are sooo fresh too!

What an amazing place for açaí bowls! Our family each did a small and it was plenty and full of flavor! We will be back!

Perfect little breakfast cafe that we were lucky to have close to where we stayed! I was surprisingly impressed with the prices, the food was delicious, I got Tuna salad on croissant, I loved the coffee and overall it was a nice experience. I prefer small cafes over popular by the beach places and this one was a hit for me personally. Recommend

Wow! The best açaí I've ever had. Lately I've been obsessed with açaí bowls and Ocean Cafe's didn't disappoint. I got the original one and it was beyond delicious! Fresh açaí, blueberries, bananas, strawberries, and granola. I loved how the granola was soft yet still had a nice crunch to it. Customer service was friendly and the bowls are affordable unlike other places I've tried. Thanks again!

I see you! Not bragging about yourself and having a down low presence of location and signage out front. But the word is out! And I found about you so you know imma blab about you. I'm staying in PB and feeling cafe, sweet and tasty needs must be taken care of. The suggestion is thrown down, the Yelp research is done and off we go. Before and after I go there, multiple people say "I've never been there, but I order from the place all the time" That's because it's where the good stuff comes from. Parking is ample and it's a cozy spot if you just want to hang. They have breaky and lunch covered with savory and sweet. That Nutella croissant is a party in your mouth for sure. The vibe is super chill as well. Order delivery all you want. I'll still be going out on lookout securing the culinary perimeter.

On my hunt to find the best Acai Bowl in San Diego, I stumbled across Ocean Cafe. Not only do I think they have the Best Acai Bowl in San Diego, but they also have the awards to back it up. Ocean Cafe is a gem! My friend from San Diego took me to this place after claiming it was the closest thing to acai bowls he had in Hawaii. The service and ambiance were tropical, maybe because it's so close to Pacific Beach. I ordered a Nutella Bowl and added chocolate chips - only regret I have is ordering the 16oz instead of the 24oz!

I did a quick morning door dash for breakfast before work today on a spot my friend had been telling me about and was very glad I did! I got the Californian croissant sandwich and an iced vanilla latte! Both were tasty and exactly what I was looking for to get my day started. I'm going to check out the cafe in person the next time.

Lovely people work here. Had the egg, avo, tomato on croissant sandwich and a chai latte. Both absolutely delicious. The croissant was fresh, buttery and flakey. Cannot wait to try more things here.

I ordered the Hawaiian bowl and it was really tasty! However the service was really slow. I waited at least 10-15 for my bowl to come out. Very limited seating inside.

Açaí bowl with almond butter add-on. Excellent!! Really loved the almond butter, granola was crunchy and delish, strawberries, blueberries and banana were fresh. The gal behind the counter was very nice and she whipped up that açaí bowl in just mins. Only wish they had an outdoor table or bench, the inside stools lined along the window were a great choice.

Picked up original acai bowl for son as we dropped him off at airport. He really liked it. Quick service, friendly cashiers. Not busy at 830am. After airport, daughter at home wanted one too. Went back around 10, much busier. She said it was really good too. Cheaper than everbowl - which said it was open at 0800 but we drive by and it was closed. Good thing since we got to try ocean cafe which was better and cheaper!

Great coffee and food here! Found it on a whim during our trip to PB. The sunrise croissant and ocean original açaí were delicious! Best iced vanilla latte I've had EVER. Small shop, but plenty of seating, good use of space. Workers there provided great service. Check 'em out...

Beta-Carotene Green Juice - Absolutely loved this! Turkey Brie Sandwich - comes on sourdough bread but you can switch out. Thought this was good. Would def come back for the green juice!

Stopped by this cafe for the first time today and was happily surprised. The smoothie was very refreshing and the service was 10/10! Tay was very friendly and made a great suggestion for a smoothie. Would definitely go back.

Not everyone wants to eat in a restaurant full of dogs. This place is small enough as is and I'm sick of tripping over multiple dogs just to get to the counter. I'll go elsewhere.

I loved this place! I was looking for the best acai bowl while visiting the area and found this online- safe to say it did not disappoint!! One of the BEST acai bowls ive ever had! I got the Hawaiian (without granola or coconut) and added almond butter. Wonderful way to start the day! If you haven't tried this place yet, you need to!

Stopped here after lunch with my friend and her son. It was a little tricky to find since there is no sign on the outside of the building, just the building number. The staff was very friendly and we waited maybe 5-7 mins for 3 drinks. Their Vietnamese drip coffee is strong and delicious. We sat around for about an hour chatting and it was the perfect little place to hang out. Parking seems tough for the area and it looked like a lot of people walked in.

I finally got to try Ocean Cafe today after reading raving reviews on both Yelp and Google. This hole in the wall location is a hidden gem for some of the best breakfast/lunch food in San Diego for very reasonable prices! I got the PB Chocolate Banana protein smoothie with an added shot of espresso for much needed energy. This beauty was rich, thick, and kept me full and energized for hours. I also got a regular croissant which was IMMACULTE. The pastry was so flaky and delicious - can't wait to come back to try the croissant sandwiches! If you haven't tried out this spot yet, RUN don't walk!

I had the turkey sandwich and it was SO basic and flimsy. No bread options, only white bread- store bought not fresh, 2 slices of Turkey, some avocado slices and a sprinkle of sprouts. Not filling and not worth $9. Also the turkey wasn't good quality. I'm so sad to say that even Jersey mikes is better (though I'd really prefer to support local small business). It's clearly not a place for food but more-so for açaí bowls and smoothies maybe? But for those items I'm loyal to Northside social because I just can't imagine them being any better.

My absolute favorite place for a quick breakfast to go. Healthy and satisfying. Would go 7 days a week if I could!!!

Lifehack- you can schedule deliveries on Doordash (and probably other services.) I ordered Ocean Cafe as the sun was starting to rise. Not because I was up early ready to take on the day. It was my last bit of hope to get a little bit of sleep after a night of insomnia. I knew I'd need some motivation to get up if I fell asleep and wouldn't want to cook. So I placed that scheduled order. Sent it as a gift to my boyfriend so he would get the notification it was delivered/on the way. Perfectly executed plan. I woke up to croissant sandwiches (very good), smoothies (looooved the acai one, peach one was okay), and coffee. Coffee was just okay- I was thankful for caffeine, but probably wouldn't go out of my way to fuel up here. The smoothie was the star of the show and will for sure be scheduled for a delivery order again one day. The convenience level is insane- that's one perk about living in 2022!

Ocean Cafe! Cute little cafe in between Garnet and Grand. We were excited to try their breakfast! We ordered Sunrise Croissant Breakfast Sandwich and Sunrise Bagel Breakfast Sandwich. This comes with Bacon, Ham, or Turkey with eggs with cheese. We opted for bacon. Upon eating at home, although yummy-there was no bacon inside both sandwiches... what a bummer. For drinks I ordered the Iced Vanilla Caramel Latte and Iced Milky Way Latte both large size. The Vanilla Caramel was too bold and the Milky Way I liked more because it was sweeter and more enjoyable than my order. Overall, a good caffeine boost. A yummy snack was the cheese bread which comes with 4 pieces. These were tasty goodness. Service was sweet! Looking forward to giving this place another shot and trying their açaí bowl or other sandwiches next time. 3 stars due to missing bacon, but otherwise good pricing, friendly service, and wide variety on the menu.

Great little place with incredible service. We visited today to get an açaí bowl and a sandwich, both were excellent. They were also out of cheese bread rolls when we ordered them but offered to bake us a batch right then! Everything was delicious and it's such a chill environment.

We stopped by on a whim today for a light breakfast and left incredibly happy. We ordered an iced latte, Green Machine smoothie, and California bagel and all were absolutely delicious! The toasted jalapeño cheese bagel was crispy and the egg was clearly made fresh. The cafe was clearly quite popular, but we got our items in a reasonable time and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. Dog friendly too! Looking forward to coming back.

Love this place! Tried their açaí bowls & California Bfast sandwich ...SO good! The staff is super sweet, relaxing ambiance typically w/reggae playing in the background,... There's typically a bit of a wait for anything you order but it's worth it.

Absolutely horrible customer service. The middle aged lady working at the front as incredibly rude. Me and three of my friends spent over 50 dollars here. However, we were kicked out when we tried to eat a little bit of ur açaí bowl inside because we ordered to go. If you are looking for a drink or some food, go to Brazilian Bowls. Everything is much cheaper and tastier. More importantly, we didn't feel like we were unwelcome in Brazilian Bowls. Go to ocean cafe if you want to feel looked down upon on the way out.

This was the first time I try hammerhead, a combination of drip coffee and espresso. En, I know I don't like it now ... The sunrise croissant is tasty, and actually bigger than it appears in the picture ... Coffee cake is not bad but not a traditional one ... Ah, I also ordered the Milky Way Mocha which I liked it.

Nice friendly staff and very clean with a good ocean vibe! I enjoyed a latte and BLT and it was delish! I noticed they had smoothies so I will be trying one of those next time. Dog friendly too! Thank you!

The best açaí bowls can be found here! I like to get the Hawaiian Bowl with peanut butter and hemp seed add ons. The açaí purée is just açaí and not mixed with who knows what. It doesn't have added sugar. That makes me feel good when I eat it. The regular size is generous but I will order the larger size to go if I am going home. The Hawaiian Bowl has strawberries, bananas, blueberries, pineapple, mangoes, granola, coconut, and honey. Everything tastes so fresh! I will also get a Bulletproof coffee with my açaí bowl. It has MCT coconut oil and cinnamon blended in. The coffee is nice and strong, highly recommended to start the day.

This place has become my go to breakfast spot. I've gone here so much that they know my name now. The food is great, the cafe is lovely, and the staff is so friendly! Do yourself a favor and check this cafe out. Grab an açaí bowl and a smoothie, and relax in the cafe. The place is so chill. You won't regret it!

I'd give them 10/10 if I could. Workers are so friendly and go above and beyond. The açaí bowls are the best I've had in San Diego. Make sure you get them with peanut butter though.
